Our next series of benefit concerts is tentatively scheduled to begin in July. We are planning to do one concert per month. Venues, performers, and dates will be announced soon.

If you have not already signed up for RSS or to receive our newsletter, please do so. We are making a concerted effort to build our mailing list. It is, by far, the most cost-effective way to promote our upcoming events.

Greater KC Chamber of Commerce

Workfare Incorporated has joined the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. We are looking forward to working with some of the top firms in the Kansas City metropolitan area as we raise the money needed to break ground on our Urban Renewal Project.

Web site redesign is complete

The redesign of our web site has been completed. I would like to thank Scott Shorter of Concera Media for his help and guidance with this project.

We will be adding a few more bells and whistles in the days to come, but we now have a secure method of accepting on-line donations (via PayPal). We would like to encourage all of our supporters to try out the new “Donate” button and to encourage others to do the same.

Reducing unemployment significantly will require raising huge amounts of money. We need all the help we can get.

Donations are tax deductible

We are pleased to announce that the Internal Revenue Service, upon review of our application, granted Workfare Incorporated 501(c)3 status on September 3rd. This means that contributions made to Workfare Incorporated are tax-deductible. (Contributions made prior to this ruling are also tax deductible under the retroactive provisions of the law.)
