One treasured holiday that we did just recently was our visit to Europe. A highlight of which is our appointment to the famous Louvre Museum in Paris, France. Considered as one of the world's most famous museum, it houses approximately 35,000 materials from prehistory up to the 21st century period.

This popular museum is located on the Right Bank of the Sienne River in the 1st arrondisement of Paris. When we arrived, we noticed that the main entrance is through the glass pyramid in the Cour Napoleon courtyard. From our hotel, we took the Metro going to the site. For public transportation especially through the Metro, the two closest stations are the Palais Royal- Musee du Louvre and Louvre-Rivoli.

Regarding its operating times, it is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00PM except on Tuesdays when it is closed. Luckily for us, we arrived at the museum at 10AM yet we noticed there were several people already ahead of us. On its operating hours, take note that this may vary on public holidays, so it is best to constantly double check the official website before planning a visit. Tickets can be secured online in advance or at the museum. We were lucky since my wife was so quick to purchased tickets online. We also learned that starting next year, non-European visitors will face higher enrty fees.

Upon researching, I discovered that the Louvre's extensive collection includes masterpieces such as Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. Finally, the museum's eight curatorial departments includes a wider range of art and artifacts from various cultures and time period.

Bonding moments with the family is always something special for me. And last April of this year, me and my family had the chance to visit one of the iconic places here in Victoria Australia. Just to give everyone a little background of Myrtleford, allow me to share with you the following facts about it here:

" Myrtleford- is a town situated in the northeast part of Victoria, Australia and that is 280 km (170 miles) northeast of Melbourne and 46 km (29 mikes) southeast of Wangaratta. Hence, we stayed there for two days and two nights in one of their popular hotels- the Myrtleford Hotel. As soon as we arrived in the place, we started right away exploring the busy downtown area with all the visiting local and international travellers in town. When we were there, they had a festival wherein food of various kinds plus live band were on display. Then when we had the chance we went to Bright, another popular tourist destination due to its heaps if exciting sceneries and wide variety of flowers that become so delightful to the eyes especially on seasons of Fall and Autumn.

Then we also had the time to visit Mount Beauty and we were mesmerised by the excellent display of mother nature in the area. Their collection of flowers and plants were great plus the surrounding mountains depict such a feeling of awe and stillness. Hence, we always savour our memories in those places and we are ones of those fortunate people to see them in person.

After a long overdue of my update on this blog, I am now sharing with you my latest entry: the Wilson's Promontory in Victoria, Australia. When you visit this beautiful state of Australia, Victoria prides itself as the state which owns several places of interests for all tourists: local and non local.Depending on your area of interest whether camping or hiking or mountain trekking, Victoria is the state that offers all of them.

All throughout their history, Irish people are known to be so rich when it comes to loving and preserving the country's literature. THE EAGLE ARTHURS SEAT

October 2017- I, my family and some friends had the chance to enjoy the view of the state forest up to the highest point of the Mornington Peninsula aboard the Arthurs Seat Eagle. As one of the tourist attractions of Victoria, this state of the art gondola and termed as Eagle can carry passengers from the summit of Arthurs Seat going down to the Base station and vice versa.

On top of it, it also has a combination of enclosed and open cabins to provide an all weather experience for passengers.

For 15 minutes, the passengers can enjoy the view from the top seeing the wonderful scenery of Mornington Peninsula including Dromana itself.

According to its recent history, "the Gondolas was installed in 2016. This happened after the previous chairlift suffered and encountered accidents thus resulting to its years of planning and looking for a new management.

By early 2013, the old pylons were removed and the top stations was demolished. The Arthurs Seat lookout tower was also demolished after many years of being unsafe to operate due to concrete cancer.

In June 2014, Mornington Shire Council approved the plans for the new chairlift. Exploring The South Coast in New South Wales

Those nature lovers out there know exactly the richness of wonders in the South Coast area of the New South Wales. Scenic beaches, rugged mountains, breath taking cliffs and many more- these are some of the exciting worth exploring sites of the vast region of New South Wales especially in the South Coast areas.

Some of those interesting areas are:

1. Bodalla State Forest- those who love rainforest will surely enjoy Bodalla State Forest. An interesting family destination, it has a 700 m rainforest walk passing through mossy, grey myrtle forest filled with birdlife and a magnificent view across Narooma and the coast.

2. Mimosa Rocks National Park- situated 10 kms north of Tathra along the Bermagul-Tathra Rd, it offers a 16 km volcanic-rock coastline and this has been sculpted by water into cliffs and weather, rock stacks and jutting headlands.

3. Pebbly Beach Camping Area- it is a tranquil and sheltered camping area with low hills and populated with laid-back wallabies, which at times would wander through campsites and lounge on the grass beside the beach. This well known destination can be reached via Mt. Agony Road off the Princess Highway.

4. Aragunnu Camping Area- accessible along the Aragunnu Rd off the Bermagul-Tathra Rd, and it is about 25 km south of Bermagul. There is an alternative route and an easy way- this is done by walking the northern and southern picnic areas plus a 200 m boardwalk that leads to a lookout over the intriguing Mimosa Rocks. Offering a variety of sites, some sheltered in among the bloodwoods and cycads at the south end, while others are in a more open clearing near the path of Mimosa Rocks.

While on the road nearing our destination, what was visible was the long queue of people who wanted to visit the wonders of the island. According to Wikipedia, " Philip Island is an Australian Island about 140 km (87 mi) south-southeast of Melbourne, Victoria.

Named after Arthur Phillip, the first governpr of New South Wales, Philip Island forms a natural breakwater for the shallow waters of the Western Port. It is 26 km (16 mi) long and 9 km (5.6 mi) wide, with an area of about 100 square km. It has 97 km (40 sq mi) of coastline and is [art of the Bass Coast Shire." Watching the scenic views along the way from Princess Highway going to the place, we watched in awe the exciting picturesque surroundings full of life around us and on both sides of the road. Our first stop was the equally known Forrest Caves. "These are actually the sea caves formed by erosion. They are located just before the Surf Beach Estate, left off the main Philip Island Road. Walk up the steps from the carpark on to the beach, then turn left. The caves are only accessible at low tide. After enjoying the beach and the superb caves, we proceeded to our next destination, the Cape Wollomai Safety Beach. " Running from the bridge at Newhaven to the old granite rocks of Cape Wollomai, it has a deep water off the beach at high tide and tidal flats at low tide. Hence, after spending some time to these two favourite destinations, we headed back to Melbourne bringing with us the fantastic memories of the famous Philip Island trip.

Christmas Time is Here

As we celebrate the season of Christmas, let us be grateful to all that has been this year and let us also welcome with such positive energy the coming year 2017. All throughout this year, many events have happened in all parts of the world.

Wherever we are, there are always both sides of the coin that go together with every event.

And to help us welcome the new year, let us be thankful to all the good things that had happened to us this year. Meanwhile, let us also learn to forget the bad things that happened to us this year. That instead of focusing on their bad effects on us, we rather focus on what then could be positive outcome that we can gain from them.

Sharing Interesting Places in South Australia

Widely known for its wineries especially in the Adelaide areas, South Australia also offers a wide range of amazing things to explore both for visitors and locals alike. Sme of these interesting places are the wine country, Fleurieu Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Limestone Coast, Kangaroo Island, Eyre Peninsula and Nullarbur, and many others.

And speaking about camping, some of the notable campsites are West Bay Camping area, Shell Beach camping area, Memory Cover camping area, Koolamon Camping Area, Cullyamurra Waterhole camping area and many others.

Just to give you some ideas on where to go for camping here then are examples of campsites worthy of visiting in South Australia. First of those campsites is Belair National Park. And campsites here which are known for their enticing attributes are:

The Amazing City of Sydney

Last December 25, 26 and 27, we had a great time visiting the wonderful city of Sydney. Being known for its vibrant and amazing environment, Sydney is known for so many things such as arts and culture, events, nature and parks, family holidays, shopping, food and wine, and many more. Hence for our short stay in that wonderful city, we have covered not that much but the feeling of satisfaction and awesome due to the delightful experiences that we have will always be remembered.

And we are also very much thankful to our hosts, our two great buddies, Josh and Erwin, for spending time with me and my wife, Yanyan so that we will really have a memorable stay in Sydney. Thus, we were so lucky to have the chance to visit the following sites of the city: Sydney City itself (Sydney Harbour, Darling Harbour, Circular Quay), Sydney East (Bondi Beach), and Sydney North (Manly). We fell short of time to visit other fabulous places such as Sydney South and West.

Our visit to Circular Quay was highlighted by the Opera House pictorial. We took photos of this enormously popular and historical site. Not far away, we also took photos of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. Then we proceeded to catch the Hop On Hop Off- Sydney's tourist bus service. Due to time constraint we were limited in visiting wonderful places in Sydney and some of those we were fortunate to see by our eyes were the Saint Mary's Cathedral, Cook and Philip Parks, King's Cross and El Alamein Fountain.

Then we changed bus and proceeded to the world famous Bondi Beach and took magnificent photos there. The following day, we had the chance to visit and enjoy the ever friendly environment of Manly Beach. Indeed, this Sydney holiday was a great opportunity for me and my wife to enjoy the historical city of Sydney.

Anglesea: A Famous Seaside Town in Victoria
