		<description>Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) or &lt;strong&gt;social phobia&lt;/strong&gt; is characterized by overwhelming anxiety and excessive self-consciousness in typical social situations. Although a fear of being embarrassed in public is normal, people with &lt;strong&gt;social phobia&lt;/strong&gt; experience this as part of daily life.

Many people with &lt;strong&gt;social phobia&lt;/strong&gt; are simply labeled shy, but the disorder goes beyond shyness. Social anxiety disorder is an overwhelming and paralyzing fear of interacting with, or sometimes just being in front of, other people. Those affected feel like they are constantly being watched and judged, and live in fear of doing something that will make them look bad or embarrass them. 		<description>It's really no secret that we create our own reality with out thoughts. Everything that we are or have is with us because we've wanted it. The article, a compilation of studies and scientific opinion on how friendships fuel our well-being in marked and sometimes tangible ways, falls right into my own area of interest. I've researched, written, and read with great interest for years about how our social connections help us recover from illnesses, injuries, and trauma. And I've certainly been there, felt the fierce support of my own friends during the toughest of times.

But something else struck me about this article, with its 743 comments that streamed down my stream. I was reading it in the news feed of...&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;
