Independence is a great thing because along with it comes freedom.

Freedom to be, do, and go as we please.

The freedom to pursue our own passions and make the best use of our unique talents and abilities.

It was 10 years ago this summer that I declared my own independence from a regular, day-to-day J-O-B as a classroom teacher.
