Rather that walking over, calling or emailing someone you can speak to them. This can help increase productivity.
Meebo also offers a great chat feature that allows both video and audio. I have tried it out and it works great!
Need a mental break? You can also play games with your "buddies"
The other nice feature is it allows you to embed a chat window just about anywhere you can copy and past the simple code.
This allows for a chat window on your blog, wiki or web page.
Meebo can be a great tool to promote collaboration and innovation!

Check it out!
meebo.com

noreply@blogger.com (Todd J. How do we manage projects across these same divides?
Wikis have become increasingly popular as an enhancement to blogs and for information sharing purposes. So what is a wiki you might ask? Well it can be describe as a vehicle to store or house information or be used to create a template for projects. A wiki can be as flexible or restrictive as the administrator determines.

What are some examples of how wiki could be used?

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)

Maintenance logs or machine repair

Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) guides for customer service or sales people

Project collaboration

Customer information and sharing

Best Practices information

An in-house encyclopedia of information

These are just a few of the potential uses for wikis.

Blogs on the other hand are a useful information sharing and communication vehicle that supervisors and other leaders could use either alone or in conjunction with a wiki to convey information.
Some potential uses might include:

Updates from the CEO/President/Owner or VP

Supervisor updates instead of monthly meetings or weekly meetings

Information dissemination

Newsletters to clients and/or staff

These are just a few potential uses.

So how could you or your organization use these tools?

noreply@blogger.com (Todd J. There will be information sharing on this site during learning plan 5 in our course.

Innovation is all around us. most of us go through life without really looking at the world around us!
How can we change it?

How can we be innovative on the job?

What if my boss does not allow me to be innovative or creative on the job? What do I do then?

innovation does not have to be something grand. Innovation can be as simple as adjusting or rearranging your work environment so you're more productive.

Thomas Edison failed several hundred times before inventing a light bulb.
