MXI Corp. parent company of Xocai Healthy Chocolate is based in Reno NV and follows the MLM business model.

MXI Corporation founders are Jeanette L. Brooks, founder and CEO and Andrew N. Brooks, Founder and COO. Mr. Brooks has a Masters in Business Administration as well as Spanish. His goal has been to produce healthy products for weight loss and people with diabetes.

One would think that healthy chocolate would be easy to sell because just about everybody loves chocolate.

There are 8 ways to earn income with Xocai chocolate and the Distributor fee is only $39.00 This enrollment fee is viewed as a  “Club Membership” and entitles you to purchase product at Wholesale prices. Included is and Associate Training Kit and access to the MXI Back Office for 1 year.

The 8 ways to earn consist of: Retail Bonus, Quick Check Bonus, X Bonus, Auto-Ship Credit Bonus, Infinity Bonus, $50 Infinity Bonus, Executive Generation Bonus, Leadership Bonus Pools. Lifestyle rewards such as vacations and car bonuses are also available.

This hybrid-binary plan is becoming more of a standard in the MLM industry and companies like MonaVie have done very well by many of their distributors.

Should You Join Xocai Chocolate and MXI Corp?

That depends if you’re looking to become basically a wholesale distributor. You are not required to do a personal monthly auto-ship but if you want to receive all the benefits of the compensation plan then you are required to purchase a minimum 100 PV (personal volume) each month.

Binary compensation plans only payout on the weakest leg and require you to balance both sides of your “tree” in order to maximize the comp plan. Difficult at best. Which is why they are not my favorite type comp plan.

From what I can tell, you can build unlimitedly wide and 7 generations down. There is more to the comp plan and it does get confusing, but this is an overview.

The retail bonus allows you to make up to a $40 dollar profit. As explained by the company, you purchase at wholesale, 1 case, your cost, $110, suggested retail price, $150 leaving a $40 dollar profit.

That’s a lot of healthy dark chocolate to sell every month in my opinion.

I am sure there are distributors that are doing very well with Xocai and all in all this is a very good company with a fairly decent comp plan…

But, If you are looking to build a residual income with a company that has no monthly auto-ship requirement, isn’t a Hybird-Binary pay plan, will pay you for all your efforts,  your customer’s join free and it builds Virally for you.

Are You Focused On Income Producing Activities?

Or are you busy running in 50 different directions like a chicken with its head cut off?  If you’re like most people getting started in Network Marketing and trying to build a home business, the picture isn’t really clear as to how you should go about producing income.

I’m sure you have some great income producing activities, but most of them won’t generate income right away!

Let me explain:

Most people, myself included when I first got started, focused too much on the company products, the science behind it all, the compensation plan. How to do social media, building a blog, watching guru videos, studying this and studying that…

The next thing you know, a month has gone by and  all of the so called income producing activities you were working on, didn’t bring in a dime.

Yes, having some basic knowledge of your product line and how the comp plan works is important.  BUT… None of that is ever going to generate any income.

A lot of us when we just start out in our home business have a limited amount of time because we have so many other commitments to attend to. Like a J.O.B., our families, hobbies etc. Most come into network marketing as a part time gig in order to make some additional income. Especially in today’s economy.

Well, if you’re spending all your time doing Non-Income Producing Activities such as the ones listed above, you are setting yourself up for nothing but frustration and disappointment.

Here Are My Top Three Income Producing Activities!

If you focus on these three things, 80% of the time, you will experience a lot less frustration and become successful in half the time.

1. Share Your Opportunity – Prospecting!

It’s as simple as this… If you are not talking to at least 3 people a day and sharing your opportunity, (5 or 10 would be better) then where will the income, come from?

2. Build New Relationships!

This goes hand in hand with prospecting. You have to build the relationship first before you can ever share your opportunity.

Get out and network! Hey these days you don’t even have to leave the house to network, although I suggest you do. There are meet-up groups going on all over the country in every city. Get out an mingle with people, if you’re the type person that shy’s away from socializing, then you need to break old habits, force yourself to get more.

Remember, your not going out there to sell anyone anything! You job at this stage is to build relationships.

If time is really limited then spend an hour a day on Facebook or Google + and start up some conversations with people. Friend the interesting people who are talking business and current events. You can join different groups on Facebook, get connected in forums, start to add value to the conversations going on there.  People will take notice and start to look at you as a leader.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT just start hitting them over the head with your new business opportunity. That should be the last thing you discuss. It takes a little time to build a relationship.  Some build faster than others.  It’s all part of the Income Producing Activities.

Lead with solutions, not your opportunity! You wouldn’t walk up to a complete stranger and ask them to marry you right? This is no different!

The Most Important Of The Income Producing Activities is… (drumroll please!)

3. The Follow-Up!

The fortune is in the follow-up as they say and it’s the most overlooked step in the process, for whatever  the reason is.

Quick story…

The other day as I was working on a one of the long term income producing activities, putting together a few new autoresponders for one of my lists, an email came through. It was someone that had opted into my system because they were looking for information regarding how to generate leads online.

That person had just received an email of mine from my autoresponder about Domain Names and Autoresponders. (oddly enough)

Here’s what they had to say:

“Sir what do you want? I’m in college at the age of 48! I have no life anymore and I just want to finish my degree. I don’t think there is anything you can help me with!”

WOW – I thought to myself, how do I approach this one? Or do I just let it go? After all, they were the one that opted-in for this info… But sensing their frustration I decided to follow-up with them immediately.  What did I have to lose?

My response:

“I apologize if there has been any misunderstanding. At one time you opted into my website looking for info regarding marketing online. At the bottom of all my emails you will find a link to allow you to Opt-Out so you don’t receive any mail from me”.

I do understand your frustration, I am 54 and a couple of years ago I had to reinvent myself too. I can relate to NOT having a life for a while.

You chose to go back to school, get a degree and most likely will work for a big corporation. I chose to build my own business and in the process, try and help those who are looking for ways to use the internet.

My first time around working for someone else didn’t work out so well, it’s even worse in today’s economy. Corporate America and its loyalties just aren’t what they used to be.

I wish you all the best in the world and hope you can take back your life very soon!

One final thought… At one point you were looking online for something. Perhaps a way to generate some additional income, I am assuming thats how you found me in the first place.

I don’t push my primary business often but thought you might find this intriguing”

I added a link to my latest video capture page and figured I would probably never hear from that person again; or worse, I’d get a really nasty email back!

Much to my surprise, 10 minutes later I received an email with an apology and their phone number saying… If you want to talk business, give me a call.

I about fell out of my chair! 95% of the time I can’t capture someone’s phone number with a direct call to action- LOL!

But if I hadn’t followed-up, who knows how this would have ended! This just proves the most important income producing activities end with the follow-up!

The 40 Year Plan Has Been Drilled Into Us Since Birth!

Most of us have been raised, or deceived with the 40 year plan. We spend about 18 years of our lives in school then we hit the real world and start our career around the age of 25.

We work the 40 year plan hoping to be able to retire at 65, because they told us it works that way. You know, go to college, get a good job, climb the ladder and by the time you’re 65, you will have it made.

Well, you know what you get after working the 40 year plan?

Statistically, based on 100 people who started working at the age of 25… After 40 years!

31 – Are Dead

68 – are Dead Broke

1 – Is Financially Secure

So much for the 40 year plan!

Ironically, as I am sitting here writing this post, in comes an email from someone who filled in the form on the right saying…  I’m 48 years old, back in school working on an aeronautic degree, I’ve got no life, I just want to finish school! I really have no idea how you can help me!!!

Now mind you, they Opted-In looking for info on how to market online and was responding to one of my auto-responder emails.

I’m thinking to myself, 48, back in school? That’s great, trying to reinvent yourself!

BUT FOR WHAT?

To start the 40 year plan all over again at 48, go back to working for someone else who will control all of your time, allow you very little freedom, etc. etc. Work till you’re 88?

No Thanks! I’ll stick to the 4 year plan!

Do you know what the 4 year plan is? Well, in Network Marketing its very possible to create wealth and a substantial residual income in only 4 years of hard work.

But you know what the biggest problem is with the 4 year plan? People don’t stick with it. Normally to get started with a MLM or Network Marketing company the initial investment  is so minimal, they look at it as a hobby. They pursue it for a few months and then quit!  (click here to see why people fail in Network Marketing)

The last time I checked, most hobbies don’t pay a whole lot!

Contrary to what a lot of MLM companies will tell you, it does require work! A fair amount of it I might add. They make it out to be so simple, just a few hours a week, you only need to get a couple of people under you and before you know it, it’s raining money!

Ha, yeah right!  IF it were that simple, everyone would be doing it.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ll take this over the 40 year plan any day of the week! It really comes down to one thing!

How badly do you want it?

Stop Living The 40 Year Plan!

THE TOP TEN REASONS YOU WILL FAIL IN NETWORK MARKETING!

David Letterman’s “Top Ten Reasons” have become a household slogan worldwide over the years, and what better way to communicate why you will fail in network marketing if you allow yourself to become a victim!  

Today I was privy to yet another one of  Mr. James Hsu’s trainings and it was a masterpiece!  He listed the top ten reasons people would fail in his primary business. As the call went on, I realized these top ten reasons apply to any Network Marketing business, not just his primary business, and I want to share with you how not to fail in Network Marketing.

#10. Why you will fail in Network Marketing!

You Don’t Have The Right Attitude For The Business! (also see #6)

Most people don’t have the positive long term attitude it takes to succeed in this business.  Just because they invested only $500 to $1000 dollars to get started, somehow they don’t value their business as much as if they had invested $500,000 dollars. They don’t take the business seriously nor do they BELIEVE they can do it.

Whether your attitude needs adjusting or not, Mr. Hsu suggests that everyone read “The Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale. I agree!  I did a post on The Power Of Positive Thinking which you can read here.

#9. Why you will fail in Network Marketing!

You Will Pre-Judge Everyone!

The first lesson to learn in Network Marketing is… It’s not up to you to decide if your business opportunity is right for someone else. Those you think WILL do the business, WON’T, and those you think WON’T are usually the ones that DO and end up on your team.

It’s imperative to present your opportunity to everyone, especially to what I call your “Chicken List”.  They are the successful business people who own and operate businesses already. They didn’t get to where they are today by pre-judging others.

Remember, it’s all about timing, what may not be right for someone the first time you share your opportunity with, could very well change 6 months down the road. So keep a list of names and dates and be sure to follow up with those NO’s at a later date.

#8 Why you will fail in Network Marketing!

You Believe You Already Know How To Do The Business – Just because you have had success in something else.

You may be a successful business owner but just because you’ve had success in a traditional business, it doesn’t mean you will be successful in Network Marketing. This is a whole different beast and it needs to be approached differently. People who have spent most of their lives in sales present the biggest challenge. They need to retrained because “Sales” &  Network Marketing couldn’t be more opposite. (although they don’t think so)

Learn from and follow those who are successful in your business. Follow the person who makes the most money and do what they do. Success can only follow!

#7 Reason why you will fail in Network Marketing!

You Won’t Adjust Your Mindset and Make it A Priority!

Adjusting your mindset from the corporate world of 9 to 5, never having to take home your work, having the weekends off is completely different than owning your own business.  Now that you own a business, it’s no longer a  M-F – 9 to 5 J.O.B.  Even if you work your new business part-time, it needs to be on your mind full time…  24/7.  Are you self motivated?  Do you make goals and are you good with getting things done without having to be told what to do next?  What about time management? You have to adjust your mindset and realize there will be NO paycheck at the end of the week if you do not make your multi level marketing business a priority!

#6 Reason You Will Fail In Network Marketing!

You Won’t Stay Consistent – You’ll Treat This Business Like A Hobby!

Do a Little, Earn a Little – Do a Lot, Earn a Lot! You cannot treat Network Marketing like a hobby. This is a business and it must be treated as such. Staying consistent means working your business everyday, even if its only for an hour or two each day.

If you want to be successful you have to keep in mind that this is a long term process. Network Marketing is NOT a get rich quick business as many profess it to be.  So many people jump into a Network Marketing company because they are told it’s easy and they can be making big money fast.

For some, sure it can happen that way but it’s not the norm. It takes a consistent commitment of sharing your business with people on a daily basis, and not for just a month or two.  So many people dabble, treat their business like a hobby for a few months and don’t see the kind of results they expected, get discouraged and quit!

Which leads us straight into the #5 reason you will fail in Network Marketing!

#5 You Let the Emotional Roller-Coaster Take Over and Abandon Ship Too Easily!

Ah the Emotional Roller-Coaster! One day you’re flying high because you just brought in a new Rep or landed a new customer, and the next day it seems like you can’t give your product away.  People look at you like you’re from Mars because you are doing a Network Marketing business. Oh you mean a “Pyramid Scheme”, you hear again for the umpteenth time.

There are ups and downs in every business, in life, and in general. Things don’t always go the way we want them to. Imagine if Steve Jobs would have abandoned ship after hearing that the personal computer was a bad idea and that it would never end up in every household?  Where would we be today without our laptops, iPads and iPhones?

#4 Reason You Will Fail In Network Marketing!

You DO NOT and CANNOT Accept Rejection!

If you have a hard time with the word N.O. this may not be the business for you! Some people won’t even pick up the phone to share their business for the “FEAR OF REJECTION”  This is a numbers game, plain and simple. You will have to go through 20 or 30 NO’s to get a YES!

If you are thick skinned and don’t take NO personally you will do very well. Providing you have the right outlook and attitude along with the other 9 steps listed here.  If you can teach yourself and your team to make a game out of it, which I call the “GO FOR NO” game, your results will be far better.

Set a daily goal of NO’s to go for each and everyday.  Start off with a goal of 3 NO’s per day, this way you are at least presenting your opportunity to 3 people everyday. You can raise it to 5 or 10 NO’s later; heck I have one team member who’s goal is 20 NO’s a day.  I’ll bet you can imagine who has sponsored the most new Reps in our group!

#3 Reason You Will Fail In Network Marketing!

Toxic Dream Stealers Take Over!

You will let other peoples opinion become your reality by allowing their negativity to seep inside your brain!

I first heard the term Toxic Dream Stealers in Mr. Hsu’s training a few weeks back. We’ve all had people close to us throwing-up their negativity all over us at one time or another.

If you’ve been in Network Marketing for any length of time you know exactly what I am talking about. If you are new to the world of MLM then I can guarantee its right around the corner.  You know those people who will say that you will never make any money in your new business. It’s a scam, it’s illegal, or only the guy at the top will make any money.  You’re not a salesmen, what do you know about running a business… You name it. Nothing but NEGATIVITY comes out of their mouth!

Who are they to take away your dreams, hopes, and desires to become or achieve whatever you set out to do?  Your goals, dreams, and desires are yours, not theirs! Don’t let other peoples opinions and negativity effect your life’s dreams! Move on and as far away from them as possible. If they are happy living their life surrounded by negative thoughts and actions, they can go right ahead and wallow in it.

It’s my guess that, 95% of Toxic Dream Stealers are the ones working 9 to 5 in a J.O.B. that they not only despise, but bitch and complain about on a daily basis. Not exactly the teammate you are looking for anyway!

#2 Reason You Will Fail In Network Marketing!

You are a Toxic Dream Stealer Yourself! You don’t believe!

Either you let others cast a shadow of doubt on your dreams or you never had the faith in yourself to begin with. That tiny amount of doubt will allow you to talk yourself right out it! It goes right back to the #10 reason you will fail… You don’t have the right attitude and you aren’t a student of the power of positive thinking!

And the #1 Reason You Will Fail In Network Marketing is…

(drumroll please!)

You don’t have a strong enough “WHY”!  You don’t know the true reason for wanting to do the business.

A strong WHY is the means to the end. It’s what will get you up, moving, and motivated everyday to become successful. Your “WHY” gives you that burning desire to accomplish your mission.

For some people it’s as simple as making a little extra spending money each month to feed their hobby. Maybe you just want to make enough to take that lavish vacation every year, or to put your kids through college. Others want to be able to take care of their aging parents or to have enough to provide for their kids and grandkids so they can live a comfortable life.

I know a woman who is determined to help battered and abused women and children. She wants to provide a safe haven and shelters all over the country to get them back on their feet.  If you ask her what her “WHY” is, she becomes very emotional and will begin to cry as she explains it.  That’s a Strong “WHY”. It’s what pushes her everyday to do the things she needs to do in order to become successful in her Network Marketing Business!

If your “WHY” is strong enough, the “HOW TO” will be easy!  Think about that for a moment. If your desire to achieve something, or your “WHY” is BIG enough, the “HOW TO” get there will be easy!

Knowing your “WHY” and it being strong enough, will help you apply it to the other 9 reasons listed above. Therefore keeping you from becoming a victim of… The Top Ten Reasons You Will Fail In Network Marketing!

Do You Know How To Close The Deal?

Most of us, myself included, (until I learned these simple tips) have no clue how to close the deal.

You have done all the hard work by this time. You’ve picked up the 600 pound phone and made the initial contact. Without a doubt it’s the most difficult for some of us.

Learning how to master the invitation without selling is the first step to close a deal.

If you haven’t mastered the art of inviting, click the link above. It will change your Network Marketing business forever!

So after you got past the fear of the phone and learned, that didn’t kill you and you finally got your prospect to a webinar or live meeting…

Particularly if it was a live meeting, these six steps will help insure that you know, “How To Close The Deal!”

1. Did you get your prospect there on time?

2. Did you sit up front so they wouldn’t be distracted by anything?

3. Did you have a note pad for both you and your prospect?

4. Did you take notes even though you heard it a million times?

5. Did you make some very small encouraging comments (quietly) along the way?

6. Did you nod your head up and down with a smile on your face and show some excitement? (Giving them a slight elbow nudge from time to time)

If not and you want to learn how to close the deal, I suggest you read those 6 steps again. Memorize them! As simplistic as they seem, most people don’t do them and they are very effective during a presentation.

But the single most effective way to close the deal in your Network Marketing business, or when closing a sales deal, is the questioned asked right after the presentation ends.

How To Close The Deal – Wrong Question To Ask!

“SO WHAT DID YOU THINK?”

You may as well have not said anything and just thanked them for showing up! I’ll bet 80% ask the wrong question and then don’t even bother to try and close the deal.

Asking what did you think will almost always get you a negative comment from your prospect.  What you need to be asking is, “What Did You Like”?

The best approach would be…

How To Close The Deal – The Right Questions To Ask!

1. “SO BILL, DID YOU SEE A WAY THAT WE CAN WORK TOGETHER?”

2. “SO BILL, CAN YOU SEE YOURSELF MAKING MONEY WITH THIS”?

3. “SO ARE YOU READY TO DO THIS? C’MON, FILL THIS OUT AND LETS GET IT STARTED. IT WILL BE GREAT TO FINALLY WORK TOGETHER AND WE NEED TO GET YOU GOING”!

And when it comes to asking for the money, which can be heavier than that 600 pound phone was, you can say…

Okay cool so, how do you want to get started? Visa or MasterCard? That’s it, keep it simple. You’ve spent your whole life with people asking you, Visa or MasterCard right? It’s like Paper or Plastic, we have an automatic answer for both because we’ve been programed all those years.

In closing, these few steps on How To Close The Deal aren’t 100%. There is no such thing. But if you incorporate them into your routine you will have a much higher success rate when it comes to closing the deal!

As a gauge to similar companies based only on equal revenue for 2010, 3 differnet companies distributor count is anywhere from 30,000 to 350,000, with one company listing 1 million distributors.

ACN Energy is sure to fall somewhere in between.

A lot of people looking for a network marketing opportunity want to be with an established company of 5 years or more and I don’t disagree with that. But, the older the company, the more competition within the company due to the amount of Reps.

That is my main bone of contention with getting started late in a MLM company.

There is something to be said for getting in on the ground floor of a network marketing company and in one word…

Millionaires.

More millionaires have been created in network marketing than any other business model, and those that got started on the ground floor stood to make the most of the opportunity.

Wouldn’t it have been great to be one the visionaries that bought Apple, Microsoft or Google stock when it was just a couple of bucks per share? Was that another ground floor opportunity missed?  Without a doubt!

So as good of a company as ACN Energy is, the biggest problem to creating real wealth is over saturation.  Far too many reps going after the same piece of the pie. Too many reps have already secured a good portion of the consumer base leaving only the crumbs for the newbie reps to pick up on. Difficult to build a business on crumbs, but not impossible. With ACN Energy available in so many countries, if you have good international connections you stand a much better chance of becoming successful.

For all you struggling ACN reps out there or anyone interested in finding a different type of network marketing company to join, I have some good news for you.

James Hsu Review!

I just finished a two day training with Mr. Hsu (pronounced shoe) and I have ONE three letter word to describe the experience… WOW!

This is my Hsu Review!

James Hsu is on fire and has more energy than Con Edison Gas & Electric during peak hours in NY City.

Mr. Hsu was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been in the Network Marketing industry for 9 years. For some that may sound like a long time but compared to his Mentor, Mr. Jerry Ballah who has 43 years under his belt, 9 years is like the blink of an eye!

You could consider James Hsu an infant, okay a toddler in the industry. But man does this toddler pack one serious punch!

James Hsu has learned well from Mr. Ballah and he is no slouch when it comes to his Multi Viral Marketing business either.

James went from Zero to over 300 recruits in under 45 days, reaching the 4th highest position in his MLM company.  He would never brag about it either, he is far too humble of a man, but he would mention it just to add some credence because you see, he is all of 28 or 29 years old.

Mr. James Hsu will tell you all of his teachings are what Mr. Ballah taught him, just packaged in his own words. It’s like going out to a show or an event to hear James speak. The two day training was over in what felt like a couple of hours!

Alright, enough background on James Hsu, what I really want to share with you is how to add Culture Into Your MLM.

Mr. Hsu is of Asian decent. I know, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out by his last name. I mention that because in the Asian Culture, you don’t walk into someone’s home with your shoes on, you take them off at the front door.

Mr. Hsu proceeded to talk about a few American cultures, in quite a humors way I might add.  He talked about the big fat man that once a year flies all over the world sliding down the chimney’s leaving presents for everyone in the home.

The big long eared bushy tailed bunny that leaves droppings (chocolate) hidden that all the children fight over to find on Easter Sunday!

Or the fact that once a year we dress up our kids like little devils or bloody them up and scare the heck out of them! Then we then proceed to drag them around to strangers homes (which they are taught never to do! Stranger Danger right?) and ask for candy; from a person we have no idea what they may have put in it…

But it’s the American Culture!

There is a MLM Culture which you need to bring into your business if you are ever going to be successful in Network Marketing, and it MUST start the day you sign up any prospect and get them started in your business.

They will do what they see you do. If you start them out with the right culture, it is all they will know and therefore teach their team to do the same thing.  It’s all about duplication! If your not doing it, neither will they. And how the heck is your team going to grow if everyone is doing nothing?

I am not going to get into all the steps here, perhaps there will be a James Hsu Two training post down the road but, it’s imperative for You and YOUR business to start off your newest prospect with the proper culture!

Here are Two Top James Hsu Tips. (say that 5 times fast)

1. It begins with finding out their “WHY”.

What’s the motivation for them joining your business? Aside from you, because people join people, not a product, or a company, or a comp plan. They join because of the leader they see in you. So you better be the leader and teach them the proper MLM Culture!

You need to get to the bottom of their “WHY”!  If  in the process you get them to cry, all the better. Then you will have gotten them to their emotional side and the true reason for them getting started will come out.

Their “WHY” is your ammo, your silver bullet so to speak! Mr. James Hsu explains if you can find out what motivates people to do what they do, then you can use that very reason to KEEP them motivated.

2. The second most important Culture you need to teach is “THE LIST”

I know, the dreaded List! You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again! Without the list, you may as well give-em their money back and tell them to go back to doing what they always do. The scary part is… They will go back to doing what they always do, but expect a different result. Hmm, that’s the definition of Insanity isn’t it?

You have to sit down with them and write it out! Get the top 200 names of people they need to start contacting and put it down on paper.  Have them break out their cell phone, guaranteed they have at least 100 names in their address book.

Hit up their list of friends on Facebook, I think the average person has close to 136 friends on FB. If they don’t have their phone number listed, send them a message, NOT on their wall either, do a private message to get a number or initiate the conversation.

Teach them not to Pre-Judge either and be sure they write out their “Chicken List”.  You know, the ones they are scared to death to call because they think they are too busy or would laugh at them for being involved with an MLM. The “Chicken List” is that special group of highly influential successful business people that didn’t get to where they are today by not having or seeing a vision.

They are the ones who are not afraid to grab the ball and run with it when they see an opportunity either. Not to mention, the last thing you will hear them say is. Oh I’d like to get started but I don’t have the money… Ugh! How many times have you heard that one?

Hey, there are a ton of other things I would like to share with you that James Hsu taught us, but I don’t want to wear out my welcome here.  It’s looking more and more like a Hsu Two Post is on the horizon!  I’ll keep you posted on that.

In the meantime, Mr, James Hsu just released his newest book – “Mobilizing People” which can be purchased through Amazon.  I’ve got mine on order and if you want to get your MLM business on the right track, I suggest you read his book. If he writes anything like he speaks, you’re in for a fun and quick read!

It Hasn’t Been Easy to Declare Which Group Buying Platform is Best, Until Now!

With so many daily deal websites to choose from, how does a business owner make an educated decision on which group buying platform is best for his or her business?

Sure the two giants in the industry that come to mind first are Groupon and Living Social, right? Living Social just broke the all time record for selling 1 million coupons in just 14 hours!

Businesses are lining up around the block looking to offer a group deal through one of these two group buying platforms.

And for what?

A chance to give away their goods and services at a 50% discount. Only to offer a local deal which they can maybe offer once or twice a year!

That’s not marketing… That’s giving away the farm!

What should the business owner look for when trying to decide which group buying platform is best? So many of these top group buying sites work the same way.

The only way a business can get involved is to offer the daily deal of the day, but they are required to offer it at a 50% savings. Recently Groupon started making the dailydeals 30% off, but the business still has to pay Groupon 50% of the take.

Why hasn’t someone come up with a group buying platform where the business can call the shots on the type of daily deal they want to offer? Give them a virtual storefront they can call their own. Link it back to their main website, customize it with several of there own pictures, make it more of a Social Buying Platform where they can interact with their customer base.

Let their consumers follow them, talk back and forth like a mini Facebook social network if you will. If the business wants do a 15% or a 20% deal, they can do it, and not have to pay a 50% commission for doing so.

If that same business wants to do a mid day email blast to all their followers telling them there is a special 3 hour sale going on; all they’d have to do is write a short email, hit a few buttons and whoosh! Everyone on their list will be notified that they can come in between lets say, 4:00 – 7:00, or while supply lasts to pick up that special deal.

Give the business the ability to build a relationship with their consumers instead of only once or twice a year doing a 50% coupon.  Which won’t amount to much more than all the coupon junkies that are only interested in the one time savings, who are never going to return to the business again unless they can save 50%.

AND – What if this Group Buying Platform paid the businesses to advertise with them. Now there’s a novel idea. Who gets paid to advertise? That’s insane, it’s unheard of, but… Why not?

If the business will market to their friends, family, and customer database, asking them to follow them on this group buying site because they will find special daily deals, and if it’s free for the consumer to join… Why wouldn’t they?  If those consumers tell all their friends to follow this business, who tell their friends to do the same, and so on and so on, it starts to go viral.

And whenever any of these consumers buy anything from this group buying platform, the business will be paid a commission for helping to build this huge customer database.

I know, your thinking to yourself right now, what kind of drugs are you on Richard?

WELL, that’s exactly what somebody has done! It’s called Daily Referral. They have built a group buying platform that does all of that and more! (U.S. & Canada Only for Now)

How To Easily Disable Related YouTube Videos In A Single Click!

Disabling related YouTube videos will ensure the maximum time a reader spends on your website. It’s hard enough to drive traffic to your site to begin with.

The last thing you want is someone to watch your video and at end, have all those related YouTube videos appear right before their eyes.

No sense in making it any easier for the competition than necessary, right?

So after spending a good 20 minutes today trying to find where I needed to go to disable related YouTube videos, (which was quite frustrating I might add). I finally stumbled across the answer.

If you know where to go to find your embed video code than you may or may not have seen the little check box that says: “Show suggested videos when the video finishes”

If that box is checked, then all videos relating to your YouTube Video won’t be disabled.

How I went from Zero to First Page on Google in 12 Hours or Less!

Landing on the first page of Google can be a difficult task but I want to share with you a few simple tips that can make it possible, even if you’re just starting out.

Now I don’t want this to come off as tooting my own horn but, this is something that will help you if you are doing any kind of article marketing or keeping up a blog.

I say zero to first page on Google in 12 hours or less because it may have been a few hours less than 12, but I’ll never really know for sure. (So I thought)

I wrote a new article yesterday about Multi-Viral-Marketing which you can read here.

I had to head off to some meetings and before you know it, it’s 12 hours later.

I got home and thought to myself, hmm, lets see if this mornings article made it to the second or third page on Google yet.

Much to my surprise, there it was, half way down on the FIRST page of Google!

Out of 3.6 million websites talking about Multi Viral Marketing, I was on the first page, mid-way already.

Naturally I didn’t think to take a snap shot of the results until I started working on this post and by the time I did, it showed 13 hours ago.  But I swear when I first checked it out, it was only 12 hours.

I got to thinking maybe I should check another browser to see if the results are any different, so I did. And they were… First page, nothing, second page, nothing, third page, still nothing!  I’m thinking, What The ?@*%^.

Then I spotted it, all the way back on the 4th page!

Feeling somewhat defeated and very puzzled I’m thinking how can this be?  UNTIL… I noticed the “6 Hours Ago”  Meaning after just 6 hours, my article was in the top spot on the 4th page of Google.  Not feeling so bad now…

After another quick re-search and the results were in! WooHoo!  I really did land on the first page of Google in under (let’s call it) 13 hours or less! It’s a darn good thing too, otherwise I’d have nothing to write about right now!

Okay enough story telling, here’s how you can go from Zero to First Page on Google in 12 Hours or Less!

1. Keyword Research!  Long Tail Keywords are the Key!

2. LSI Keywords -  Latent Semantic Indexing

3. Pinging & Indexing

4. Syndicating on Social Networks

Let’s break these down one at a time.

1. Keyword Research and Long Tail Keywords

These are the single most important aspects to landing your articles on the first page of Google. Since I’ve already done an article and a video on the subject I am going to direct you straight to it.  Click Here:

2. LSI Keywords -

Which simply means, Latent Semantic Indexing. (Whatever that heck that is!) It’s actually a complicated term which has a simple definition.

It basically has to do with words and phrases that are related in context and since Google loves related content, LSI Keywords are powerful to use within your articles.

Often times when doing your keyword research you will find an LSI Keyword that ends up being a better keyword than your original. If that’s the case, go with it.

In the illustration above you will see my keyword search and the results for: Global Monthly Searches as well as Local Montly Searches and you can also see the approx. CPC (cost per click) for that keyword if you were doing a PPC campaign.

As you can see, Multi Viral Marketing is not a term that is often searched for. At least not at the time of this writing. As the term becomes more popular I believe the global monthly searches will increase. That is my hope anyway.

Normally I look for keywords with a monthly global search of 600 to 2000. Anything less is almost a waste of time.In this case I am looking to the future for my keyword and want to secure a solid spot on the first page. There is no guarantee once you hold the first few spots for a keyword that you will remain on top forever, but being early to the party and having some good solid backlinks to that article will give you the edge.

In the next illustration you will see a list of all words or phrases that Google deems as “Related”. These would be your LSI Keywords. I suggest using 4 or 5 of these LSI Keywords throughout your article for maximum SEO results. I normally choose the LSI Keywords that are searched for the most and use those.

Now that your keyword research is done it’s time to come up with a headline. Be sure and use your main keyword or long tail keyword in the title. I also recommend using the main keyword as close to the beginning as possible.  I am going to refer you back to my previous article and video where I talk about H1, H2, & H3 tags along with all the other important SEO that needs to be incorporated in your article.  It’s all part of my Zero To First Page on Google in 12 Hours or Less so please don’t miss it.

3. Pinging and Indexing

Pinging and indexing your blog post is an important piece of the puzzle and again, I have dedicated an entire blog post to it.

You can find that post here! Pinging your blog will alert the search engines that you have new content for them to index. Please don’t miss this section, going about this the wrong way could get your site banned on Google. It’s not likely but possible so it’s worth the read. There is a great plugin listed in the article that will keep you from over pinging too.

4. Syndicating on Social Networks

This is pretty much my last step in going from, Zero to First Page on Google in 12 Hours or Less.

The first thing I will do is head over to Digg.com and submit my article. You will need to open an account at each of the places mentioned, it’s a simple and time consuming task, but will pay off handsomely if you stick to this script.

Here is a list of the social sites I will syndicate my article on, in this order. Digg, Facebook, & StumbleUpon are the three I do manually.  All the rest I can automate by using the OnlyWire Plugin I have installed on my site. At the bottom of each article you will see a “Bookmark & Share” button.

The remaining sites I bookmark to are: Google Bookmarks, Delicious,  Bebo, LinkedIn, Netvibes, Scrib, Diigo, MySpace, (yes believe it or not) Plurk, and Yahoo Pulse.  At the click of a button I can send to all these sites thanks to OnlyWire.  You can create a free account at all of the above and to make life easy on yourself; once you join OnlyWire you can then create an account at each of the sites listed above.

That’s pretty much it for taking your article from zero to first page on Google in 12 hours or less.

What is it? How is it different? Why Should I Care?

Well, if you’ve been looking into joining a traditional MLM or Network Marketing business you will be happily surprised to learn about Multi Viral Marketing (MVM) and it’s benefits!

With this Top WordPress Plugin you can automatically seed a “thank-you” email to those who have commented on your blog. This plugin actually engages the visitor by reminding them to check back for responses or new blog posts. You have complete control and can configure your message anyway you like.

10. Akismet

Last but not least in my 10 Top WordPress Plugins list, Akismet will check all of the comments left on your site for spam. You will need an API Key to use it, which is free to obtain. Spammers just looking for a back-link to your site will be captured and placed in the spam section of your comments section. Giving you easy access and the ability to delete blocks of Spam comments at one time. To date, Akismet has detected over 4700 spam comments on my site.

So there you have it, my 10 Top WordPress Plugins that not only keep my blog running smoothly, but also have helped increase my website traffic by over 166%.

MLM Legend Touches Down Calls Phoenix Home

It wasn’t that long ago that I did a review on the MLM Legend Mr. Jerry Ballah which is posted on the BetterNetworker Website. Actually it was exactly four months ago to the day and as of this writing it’s had over 2500 hits. Perhaps a more well-known name in the field, another MLM Legend and Business Philosopher Jim Rohn is a more familiar name to you. These two industry giants grew up together in the biz and were good friends. Does that give you a sense of who we are talking about here?

So what does the fact that Jerry Ballah having landed in Phoenix really have to do with anything?

For you at this very moment, nothing probably. But for me, it’s a life changing event! One that I would be honored to share with you if you’re open minded.

You see, several months ago I found a new business opportunity and fell in love with it, joined, and have been diligently working on building a team.

Then along comes this MLM Legend, Jerry Ballah; who just happened to look into the same company and business opportunity. (It’s a bit more involved than that, but…) He is now the Vice President of Global Business Development.

OMG! Somebody pinch me!

Keep in mind, people of his caliber don’t go around MLM hopping from one company to another looking for the next best thing. They don’t need to, nor is a good idea! They stick with a solid company and build huge teams. That is in part the secret to their success.

So when a MLM Legend like Jerry Ballah drops what he’s been doing with a company for years and joins a relativity new MLM, it must be a darn good opportunity!

I first met Mr. Ballah 4 months ago at the National Company event which was held in Nashville. There he was up on stage in his humble manner addressing the crowd with his 43 years of experience and wisdom. Wow, uplifting to say the least!

Well, I just came out of a two hour Rep only meeting and yes, I was in the same small conference room with this MLM Legend who was heading up the show. He recently moved back to Phoenix and is going to mentor, train and take anyone willing to work hard to the top with him.  History in the making again!

Is somebody going to pinch me or what?

Okay so we’ve all been to a network marketing opportunity meeting right? (which this was not) You know the one where a guy or gal is up on stage talking about making $20,000, $30,000 or even $50,000 a month…  Yeah Right flashes between my ears! Sure, 50 grand a month, uh huh…

Even though I know several people in the industry making well over six figures or more right now, it just always sounds a bit far fetched. Until this meeting!

Because when a MLM Legend such as Mr. Ballah takes you aside and is talking about the business and helping you achieve your goals and asks…

“Where do you see yourself taking this?” Do you want to make $50,000 dollars a month? (Naturally my answer is YES!) Then he looks you straight in the eye and says… Well, We Can Get You There! But it’s going to take a lot of work.

Somehow the far fetched notion of making more in one month than a lot of people make all year isn’t that far fetched anymore.

Remember, Mr. Ballah is responsible for helping countless numbers of people make upwards of a million dollars or more a year. SO to say I am excited about the meeting and what lies ahead would be a complete understatement! I am also excited because being mentored by the MLM Legend Jerry Ballah means that as I learn from the master, I will be able to share what I learn with my team and you.
