WCCM missionaries Rev. Dan, Pam, Stephen, and Elizabeth Hawkins delivered 10,350 chewable children’s vitamins to El Salvador this week on behalf of WCCM HQ. Janis Watkins, the director of Abigail Association, based out of San Salvador, sent out a message a few weeks ago that children’s vitamins are no longer available in El Salvador. These 69 bottles will supply one months’ worth of vitamins to the 342 orphans and at-risk kids that Janis ministers to.

World Class Cities Ministries has been working in partnership with Abigail Association in El Salvador since we provided a minister’s training conference in January of 2015. WCCM-licensed minister Dan Hawkins, his wife, and two of their four children are currently preparing to become long-term missionaries to San Salvador in partnership with Sis. Watkins.

Warm Christian greetings to each of you!

Please allow me to begin this report by sharing my deep gratitude for each WCCM Partner who made the Kenya June 2017 (KE17) a part of their regular prayers. Your prayers were truly the voice of faith that moved the hand of God in an incredible way on this trip.

For those who were not able to make this trip, let me share with you that God’s hand supernaturally guided us throughout this trip. While our final mission was different from our original plan—in some ways significantly so—it was crystal clear that the mission we accomplished was God’s plan all along. His fingerprints were all over the ministry that we ended up performing, and the astounding impact was much bigger than we thought it would be when we left the US for Kenya!

Together, with God’s help, we were able to:

• Train 330 ministers across multiple denominations,
  
• Provide humanitarian aid to approximately 580 people (including 200 toothbrush giveaways, 100 pastors receiving blood pressure and blood sugar checks, 200 orphans fed, and 80 poor fed),
  
• Minister to some 700 children in schools, churches, an orphanage, and a poor neighborhood,
  
• Record ministry and training audio to be broadcast on the radio to over 2 million listeners in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, northern Somalia, and Congo and given to our students in Zambia during WCCM’s training last week, and
  
• Donate medical supplies to the local hospital that will help so many more.

Thanks again to each WCCM Partner for your prayers and words of encouragement as we tackled our first international trip since the passing of Dad. The Lord delivered in His usual spectacular fashion!

World Class Cities Ministries

On August 13, 2016, the Lord allowed WCCM to commission a brand new well servicing a community about 55 miles (90 km) from Nakuru, Kenya. “Henry’s Well” will provide water for a community of about 4,800 people and about 3,000 of their livestock. The well has a tap for people and two watering points for the cattle and goats who sustain this community. The nearest existing watering point was 9 km (5.5 mi) away—a trek the families in this community had to make each day.

WCCM wells are dug to benefit an entire community, and the landowner—most of the time a church—agrees to never charge for the water from the well. This method allows the love of Jesus to be shared with the community and gives us a chance to tell everyone who comes to fill their water containers about the free Living Water they also have access to.

In July 2016, WCCM was able to send a contribution to help complete the repair of a well and cistern system in Mpumalanga, South Africa, which is experiencing the worst drought in the recorded history of South Africa. The well services a school of ministry, birthing clinic, and AIDS orphanage.

WCCM partnered with Ellie’s New Hope Ministries in South Africa some 10 years ago through Carl Richardson (former WCCM Chairman of the Board). Through the compassionate generosity of WCCM Partner donations, WCCM was able to contribute to the repair of this vital water source.

While we are deeply saddened by the loss of a husband, father, friend and ministry leader, we are even more joyful and excited for Bill knowing that he will forevermore be with Jesus, rejoicing in heaven… singing and dancing with the angels in praise to the King of Kings!

If it were possible for Bill to know sadness in heaven, it would only come from looking down on Earth and seeing those countries and people that he and WCCM had not yet been able to reach with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  And now that he has gone on to be with the Lord, that same burden continues to rest on the hearts and shoulders of the WCCM family that remains.  That is why it is our intention to continue to work just as diligently and with just as much urgency to further spread the Gospel, train and empower present and future pastors and ministers and to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of men, women and children around the globe.

With such a sudden home-going there is much information to gather, many discussions to be had and even more decisions to be considered as we ask the Lord to help us determine the path forward.  While we do not desire to have any interruption in the current or future ministry plans of WCCM, we certainly do desire to honor the Lord and the work that has already been done.  It is with that in mind that we ask for your continued, prayerful support as we seek direction from God in making so many critical plans and decisions for the future direction of WCCM.

The family and leadership of WCCM have already begun to diligently consider future ministry goals and plans.  We are confident that while we were not expecting these events to unfold at this time, they certainly did not surprise the One who called Bill home.  In knowing that, we are also confident that He has already prepared a way for us to not only continue the work He has begun through WCCM, but that He desires to see its impact grow and intensify globally.

Thank you again for all of the encouragement and strength you have given WCCM and the Wilson family.  We covet your prayers and continued support through this time of seeking direction.  We pray that you will continue to stand with us well into the future as we carry the name of Jesus to all corners of the Earth.

The Reverend George William “Bill” Wilson, 70, of Lakeland, Florida went to live with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Bill was born February 21, 1946 in Grinnell, Iowa to George Walton Wilson and Mildred Elizabeth (McDowell) Wilson. On July 28, 1966, he married Jean Anne Blair. Together they have raised 4 sons and a daughter. Growing up on a farm, his parents taught him the value of hard work and he applied that to his life-long service to Jesus Christ. He and Jean began full-time ministry in 1973 with the Church of God. He later founded World Class Cities Ministries (WCCM) in 1998. In helping to plant and organize over 6,500 churches through WCCM and the Church of God, he has helped spread the Gospel in over 65 nations in Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America. If you asked him what his vision was, you would most likely hear him say, “My vision is to help other people fulfill the vision God has given them.”

While fulfilling the Great Commission was his lifeâ€s work, his family always had his heart. He loved being with his children Todd, Kevin, Chad, Shaun, and Keri. It brought him great joy to have the opportunity to minister with his family all over the world, not to mention beating them at a game of Mexican Train Dominoes.

Those who knew Bill can attest to the fact he never met a stranger. He seemed to know or meet someone wherever he went, even in the remote corners of the world. He would drop everything to help someone in need and housed many family, friends and strangers when they needed a place to stay. He didnâ€t just talk about the Gospel; He lived it.

The family will celebrate Billâ€s life in a memorial service to be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 5:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Church of God, 6725 N. Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, Florida 33809. The Reverend Ron Stewart will be officiating. There will be a public viewing prior to the celebration at 4:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Church of God.

Bill is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Jean Wilson of Lakeland, Florida; his four sons, Todd and his wife Meg of Richmond, California, Kevin and his wife Melissa of Elkridge, Maryland, Chad and his wife Christie of Tallahassee, Florida, Shaun and his wife Michelle of Baltimore, Maryland, and his daughter, Keri of Tallahassee, Florida; his 10 grandchildren, Tatiana, Laura, Olivia, Lisa, Kendall, Spencer, Jennifer, Michaiah “Cai”, Sydney, and Noah Wilson; and siblings Jim, Virgil, Mary, Max, Carolyn, Mike and Linda.
