Kaka in Real Madrid

2009-08-31T06:59:00.000-07:00

Kaka is the latest Real Madrid transfer news AC Milan. Real Madrid transferred Kaka from AC Milan with a price of 68 million euro transfer. Transfer costs footballer Kaka included in the transfer list of the world's most expensive player.

Kaka transfer will facilitate the transfer of Real Madrid and AC Milan transfer latest next season. Transfer news football news is most interesting.

Although transfer to Real Madrid, Kaka is expensive, but the investment will be quick Real Madrid turnover, because many fans Kaka, Real Madrid, so the costumes will sell Kaka. Real Madrid will sponsor more and more, because the opportunity to be Real Madrid Spanish League champions and Champions League. Real Madrid will rise like Roger Federer. Kaka is a good investment.

I am pleased with the transfer news Kaka to Real Madrid this, because I can see Kaka play with Raul and may also Cristiano Ronaldo. But the news of this transfer will cause a decline in prestige and AC Milan Serie A League. AC Milan had to buy new players the equivalent of Kaka and Ronaldinho may be replaced role in AC Milan's Kaka.

Pussycat Dolls are aiming for world control

2009-02-12T16:39:00.000-08:00

AS GIRLBANDS go, they don't come any raunchier, rockier or fitter than Pussycat Dolls.Since exploding onto the music scene five years ago, all hot-pants and big hair, the Americans have clawed their way to the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.Their debut album, PCD, sold more than 7m copies, while their first UK single, the catchy Don't Cha, went straight to Number One and won them a Grammy nomination.Last year, the band released their follow-up LP Doll Domination, featuring the tongue-in-cheek number, When I Grow Up, and ever since they seem to have been on a mission to live up to the album's title."Doll Domination is Pussycat Dolls at the second level," reveals 24- year-old "Doll" Melody Thornton. "We've grown up and are now women ready to take over the world."Now down to five members - Melody joins lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, 30, Ashley Roberts, 27, Jessica Sutta, 26, and 26-year-old Kimberly Wyatt (Carmit Bachar quit last year), these days life for the band is a whirl of jet-hopping, touring and recording with the PCD brand selling everything from lingerie to cosmetics to, erm, dolls. It is all a long way from LA's Sunset Strip where the group - the creation of dancer and choreographer Robin Antin and Hollywood actress Christina Applegate - began life as a burlesque troupe rehearsing their routines in someone's garage before securing a gig at Johnny Depp's famed Viper Room club. There, Robin and Co quickly made a name for themselves, creating queues around the block every time they appeared and enticing glamorous A- listers like Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera to join them on stage. They also attracted the attention of record companies who grabbed the troupe and repackaged them as a sexy, six-piece, all-singing, all- dancing girl group."Inside every woman is a Pussycat Doll," says Robin. "It's about female empowerment, about being confident with who you are."It's about singing and dancing in front of a mirror by yourself and having fun."Following on from the success of the album, the girls are currently wowing fans on a five-month world our which stops off at our own Echo Arena this evening, where the girls will be supported by hot chart sensation Lady GaGa."We love her music, and we are huge fans of hers," Nicole says of the feisty blonde pop princess. While GaGa is guaranteed at the Arena tonight, whether or not a certain racing driver will be there remains to be seen.Lead singer Nicole has been dating British Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton after the pair met at the MTV Awards in Munich, in 2007.And, just as Nicole popped up in the pits at the Grand Prix Final in Brazil last year to witness Lewis snatch victory, he has been seen at a number of the Dolls' tour dates. But, despite his fame and fortune, apparently Lewis still had to win over Nicole's bandmates."We didn't mess about and gave him a tough time as we do with all new boyfriends," Melody said recently. "We are very protective of each other - especially when a new guy comes into the fold."* PUSSYCAT DOLLS play the Echo Arena Liverpool tonight. Although the R&B/Pop star’s album with the reported title “Undefeated” is yet to be due out anytime soon, there now seems to be a fake cover going around online which shows the face of the songstress on the body of an alleged picture of supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Since the release of the picture, label representatives of Whitney Houston has put out a statement.

As many are aware, for the last couple of days there have been fake posting of Whitney’s forthcoming Cd Cover. It’s totally web generated by a member of a Whitney fan site to cause hysteria among Whitney’s loyal fans.

The allegedly “new” Whitney Houston album cover circulating throughout the internet is not a legitimate

album cover for Ms. Houston’s forthcoming Arista disc. Ms. Houston is still recording and we look forward to unveiling new music along with the official
album cover in due time.

Bruce Willis says Paul Newman taught him about being a man

2008-11-18T06:24:00.000-08:00

Washington, November 17 (ANI): Bruce Willis, who starred along with late Paul Newman in the 1994 movie Nobodys Fool, has made it known that the veteran actor had taught him about being a man.

The actor-singer-producer admitted that he grabbed the opportunity to work with the Hollywoods legendary entertainer, and that it was his senior who taught him what acting was all about.

“What a guy. What a sweet, sweet guy. I did the film without reading the script because he was in it, Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

I learned the biggest thing about acting, being a movie star and about being a man from Paul, he added.

Recalled learning the first and foremost important lesson in acting from the philanthropist, the Die Hard star said: There was a storm and because of the snow, I was two minutes late on the set one day.

He added: He yanked me out of the car and said, ”I want to teach you one thing about acting. Punctuality is the courtesy of kings”. I was never late again. (ANI)

Getting slapped was humiliating: Preity Zinta

2008-11-07T14:49:00.000-08:00

She's already bagged an award for her power-packed performance as a battered wife in Heaven On Earth, but Bollywood star Preity Zinta says she was humiliated when co-star Vansh Bhardwaj, who plays her abusive husband, slapped her while shooting a scene.

"When we were shooting the film, there was a scene where my co-star had to slap me and, of course, it was a mistake as he took one step forward and actually went smack across my face. It was the most humiliating experience of my life because everyone saw me getting slapped," said Preity.

Preity got the Silver Hugo Award for best actress in the Feature Film Competition section at the 44th Chicago International Film Festival Oct 29.

The mishap on the sets of director Deepa Mehta's film brought Preity closer to reality and made her understand the character better.

"It changed my whole perception towards my role and I realised that it's so terrible to strip a woman of her spirit. It's better to die than to let your spirit die. This film took me to another zone; it just shattered me because I am someone who would immediately stand up for myself," she said.

Known for her chirpy, bubbly and garrulous image in Bollywood, Preity would be seen at the receiving end in Mehta's film, which she says "completely broke" her heart.

She explained: "It was the most difficult film of my career. It's also a film that completely broke my heart. I remember asking a woman, who was a victim of domestic violence and had left her husband, what the turning point in her relationship was and she said, 'I told my husband if you want to beat me, beat me in a room. But don't beat me in front of the family.'

Lindsay says she has learnt her lesson

2008-11-05T15:59:00.000-08:00

After making headlines for her wild partying ways and unfortunate encounters with law, Lindsay Lohan has said that she has learnt her lesson.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress claimed that her days of notorious partying, run-ins with the law and drug problems are far behind, as she now prefers to stay at home.

OKmagazine.com reported Lohan saying that she love spending her nights at home watching TV and hanging out with her gal pal Samantha Ronson. "I watch a lot of TV. More than I’ve ever watched because I don’t go out every night," News.com.au quoted her as saying in an interview with US TV show Extra in an interview.

She added: "There’s nothing that I really have to go out anymore for. I’m out with Samantha and she’s DJing and so I am supporting her."

In the last few years, Lohan was more in news for her off screen antics than any her roles on screen.

In 2007 she was arrested twice for drink driving and once for carrying cocaine, for which she also had to spend time in rehab.

However, she has now insisted that she’s got it all out of her system. "I’ve learned my lesson at an early age and I am very thankful for that," she said.

Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton Lead Obama To Victory

2008-11-05T15:57:00.001-08:00

Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Christina Aguilera all made their votes count for Barack Obama and John McCain yesterday.

Mean Girl Lindsay - who branded Sarah Palin as a "homophobe" - said she voted against Proposition 8, which if passed would ban same-sex marriage.

And Christina Aguilera also took part in the voting mania as she and husband Jordan Bratman voted together in Beverley Hills.

Meanwhile Rachel Bilson - in the company of rumoured squeeze Hayden Christensen - headed to the polls to make her vote count for Barack Obama.

In the early hours of this morning Obama was voted in as the new US President.

Keanu Reeves Is Clear Of Charges As Paparazzo Lawsuit Ends

2008-11-05T15:53:00.000-08:00

By Rebecca Brody 13:01, November 4th 2008

Keanu Reeves has successfully completed his court mission. On Monday, a Los Angeles jury cleared the 44-year-old actor of any legal responsibility for wounds a paparazzo claimed that had been caused by the “Matrix” star, who allegedly hit him with his car.

The panel of six men and six women deliberated for more than an hour in the civil lawsuit filed by photographer Alison Silva against Keanu Reeves before deciding that the “Sweet November” star was not responsible for the paparazzo’s supposed injuries.

Thus, the actor does not have to pay Alison Silva a single penny, although the photographer had been seeking approximately $704,974 in compensatory damages from Keanu Reeves, including medical bills, as well as lost wages, which had allegedly been a result of the injuries he sustained in March 2007, according to E! Online. Alison Silva asserted that he was knocked down by the actor, who was supposedly pulling his Porsche out of a parking lot. He explained that he had suffered wounds to his wrist while he was trying to take pictures of Keanu Reaves in the wealthy Ranchos Palos Verdes neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Nevertheless, the photographer’s trustworthiness was damaged during cross-examination by the “Handball” star’s legal representative, who showed the court a video portraying the plaintiff climbing up a razor-wire fence so as to capture a video of pop icon Britney Spears and subsequently using his left hand to prop and keep balance while descending. As the clip proved that Alison Silva had not permanently injured his left wrist, his story did not seem credible to any further extent.

In addition, Keanu Reeves explained in his testimony last week that he had not run into the paparazzo in order to stop him from taking his picture and that the man had simply tripped over his own feet while he was walking backward from the vehicle.

The civil trial was far from being a sole case, as the number of confrontations between paparazzi and famous people has grown considerably during the past year, since stars like Kanye West, “Rocknrolla’s” Gerard Butler, Matthew McConaughey and Pierce Brosnan have been involved in such unpleasant incidents.

In spite of the fact that Alison Silva’s attorney explained that his client was far from being a violent photographer, Keanu Reeves’ lawyer, Alfred Gerisch, told the court that the plaintiff had endangered his own safety for a picture that would have brought him a lot of money.

After the verdict was read, the actor showed satisfaction as he patted his attorney on the back. On the other hand, Alison Silva said that he respected the jury’s decision as well, wishing the “Matrix” star all the best.

Why The World Loves Cristiano Ronaldo!

2008-11-05T15:49:00.000-08:00

Someone once told me, even if you hate someone, try looking at the positive qualities of that person and you might change your mind. Ever since I've seen him, I've harboured deep hatred for Cristiano Ronaldo. He has always been up there on my list of most hated people, sometimes I’ve had reasons for hating him, and sometimes none at all. Yes I know, it doesn’t make me sound like a great person but emotions are hard to control.
One of the articles I’ve written, entitled ‘Why the World Hates Cristiano Ronaldo’, seemed to get me quite a few haters, on and off B/R. Now, this is not an attempt to ‘suck up’; I am merely trying to find reasons that suggest, to myself and other Cristiano haters that he isn’t such a bad person after all.
I’ve never, no matter what, doubted the talent oozing out of this youngster and he definitely has style – Yes this is the part where you gasp in disbelief over me complimenting the ever so famous “CR7”.

Skills

Everyone knows about Cristiano’s skills, his famous step over and the creativity in his football. Moaning, whining and hitting the ground howling in faked pain is also, in my opinion one of his skills! How many times have I tried to fake an injury and no one ever fell for it? For that I applaud him. If only he could have taught me a few things in school, I wouldn’t have to bother with Algebra every Tuesday, and I’d just fake an injury. Woo.
He is very good with the ball – by ball I mean football. Cristiano emulates inventiveness and style and almost always brings forth an element of surprise. Why watch boring old soap actors, when you’ve got the real deal?

The election over, Barack Obama readies for the future

2008-11-05T15:44:00.000-08:00

by J. Scott Orr/Star-Ledger Washington Bureau
Wednesday November 05, 2008, 5:53 PM

A day after he made history as the first African-American to capture the White House, Barack Obama took a day off.

The Democratic senator from Illinois held no public events today, his marathon race to the White House suddenly a memory. Behind the scenes, though, his transition team began making plans for an Obama administration that will confront the nation's deep woes come January.
Obama is expected to return to Washington Thursday to receive his first top-secret daily briefing from Bush administration intelligence officials. He also is expected to meet with reporters for the first time as the president-elect. A White House meeting with President Bush could also happen soon.

Rahm Emanuel, a Democratic congressman from Obama's home base of Chicago, chairman of the Democratic Caucus in the House and a former advisor to President Clinton, reportedly has accepted the job as Obama's chief of staff.

And Obama announced that his transition team would be headed by former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta, Obama's Senate chief of staff Pete Rouse and campaign advisor Valerie Jarrett.

Britney Spears Reveals Album Cover and Tracklist

2008-11-03T10:13:00.000-08:00

Leah Collins Published: Monday, November 03, 2008

Britney Spears has revealed the cover of upcoming album Circus via her official website. Predictably, the album art has a Barnum and Bailey vibe, with Spears posing as rare sideshow attraction "The Airbrushed Lady." Personally, we're a little surprised that Spears didn't take advantage of the circus theme to showcase her usual freak tendencies, but perhaps she's leaving that for the music.
Spears has also unveiled the tracklisting, which includes such titles as "Lace and Leather," "Unusual You," and "Kill the Lights." You can find the full tracklist below.
Also included as a "bonus track" is "Radar." The song -- produced by "Toxic" masterminds Bloodshy and Avant -- was previously released on Spears' 2007 record, Blackout. Jive Records told MTV News, however, that the version appearing on Circus may be a remix.
And, as good news for those of us who've heard the word "Womanizer" sung about ten zillion times too many, Spears' new single will be the reportedly "up-tempo" title track, "Circus."

Lindsay Lohan given the boot

2008-11-03T10:09:00.000-08:00

Lindsay Lohan has been axed as the host of the World Music Awards 2008 and replaced by actree Denise Richards. Apparently organisers weren't too confident in Lindsay's ability to present the World Music Awards in Monaco next week.
Lindsay - who is reportedly engaged to her girlfriend Samantha Ronson - was said to have reacted badly when organisers booked 'Desperate Housewives' star Jesse Metcalfe to co-host the ceremony. A source said: "Lindsay was furious she wasn't the main star. The organisers had gone through a list of who was hot at the moment and returned to Lindsay again.
parties it was better if she pulled out." Rumours are now rife that Jesse has also been dropped from the prestigious event.
At the 2006 awards, Lindsay, 22, messed up several of her lines and accidentally called Beyonce to the stage while she was still getting ready for her performance.

McCain tries to turn must-win states; Obama stays on offense

2008-11-03T10:05:00.000-08:00

By Scott J. Anderson
CNN
(CNN) -- As they enter their final day of campaigning before Election Day, Sen. John McCain is trying to swing undecided voters in key battleground states, while Sen. Barack Obama is staying on the offensive by campaigning in territory that is usually safely Republican.
In addition, both campaigns are ratcheting up their get-out-the-vote efforts, as election officials predict record turnouts -- and long lines -- on Tuesday.
McCain on Monday hopes he can shift enough voters in a handful of critical states to give him enough votes to pull a come-from-behind victory.
He has an uphill climb. There are few undecided voters left, and McCain will have to sway most of them for him to overcome Obama's lead. The latest national CNN poll of polls has Obama ahead of McCain 51 percent to 44 percent, with 5 percent undecided. iReport.com: Still undecided? What gives?
McCain has also lost ground to Obama in the race for electoral votes and needs to win a number of battleground states if he is to deny Obama the White House. Predict the outcome with the Electoral Map calculator
Going into Election Day, CNN estimates that Obama will win 291 electoral votes while McCain will win 157, with 90 electoral votes up for grabs. A candidate needs 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.
On Monday morning, McCain began a seven-state blitz with a rally in Tampa, Florida. He then heads to Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New Mexico and Nevada. McCain ends the day in his home state of Arizona.

Tony Barretto, EX- A former body guard Spears Rebuffed in Court

2007-09-18T00:05:00.000-07:00

A former bodyguard for Britney Spears went to court Monday to support a sealed declaration about questionable behavior by the pop star in a child-custody dispute between the singer and ex-husband Kevin Federline .

Tony Barretto, 28, arrived with a lawyer but Family Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon held only a brief open session before clearing the courtroom of everyone but attorneys for Spears and Federline to privately discuss unsealing documents in the ongoing case.
Outside court, Barretto's attorney Gloria Allred issued a statement calling him a "key and secret witness."
The singer married Federline in October 2004. She filed for divorce last November and the divorce became official July 30. The two have joint custody of sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.
Spears went through episodes of bizarre behavior early this year — including shaving her own head — and finally spent time in rehab. Her attempts at a professional comeback took a hit last week with a sloppy performance at MTV's Video Music Awards.
Spears hired Barretto when she left a rehabilitation facility in March but fired him May 17 because "he didn't hear her when she asked him to pick up her hat," Allred said.
Allred said that while working for Spears, Barretto became concerned about the safety and well-being of the pop star's children. Federline and Spears were not present in court.
Laura Wasser, an attorney who represented Spears until Monday, said Barretto was a disgruntled employee.
She said Spears' "will be in excellent hands" with her new attorneys, Melvin Goldsman and Marci Levine. They did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
In another development Monday, Spears was dropped by her management company, The Firm, just a month after she hired them for the run-up to the release of her new album on Nov. 13.
"We have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears," the company said in a statement. "We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record. But current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job."
