The Quasar from Quasimidi is my oldest rack-synth expander. In the video you see my typical way to play with this machine. Of course you can make different changing to the single instruments and performances. For detailed technical infos please search the web.
As you see i like a randomized style of handling with the Quasar. That includes most times the key following same as the instrument changing. In this video i played only the C for triggering.
Posted on http://worldofsynthesizers.blogspot.com/

Polymorph in Blue and New !

Posted on http://worldofsynthesizers.blogspot.com/

Vangelis Blade Runner blues - cover (live)

I never would have tried to cover this, but when I made the cs80 like lead on the juno 6 it was too tempting :) here is a link to a German magazine interview , the settings for the Juno 6 patch are on the last page http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26&file=2&article_id=3038
also a link to to a warm up while I was getting the right atmosphere to the cover version
Nothing too fancy, It´s just me having fun with the Alesis Andromeda A6's 16 X 16! internal Step Sequencer and its filters. For the noises almost at the end of the video, I used a Dark Energy, Moog FreqBox and a Moog Analog Delay Mf-104Z
DJ Puzzle Jason Donnelly is back with the Roland SH-32 Synthesizer. ALL SOUNDS BY ROLAND SH-32
Lyrics by Vasilis Mantz, Music by Are Kalogeropoulos

Soil of the Sun
We'll be ready when the time comes
And the rain has washed away
And the sunbeams come around to stay

We've been hiding for so long
In the city we belong
Come and walk these streets with me again

Chorus:

Soil of the Sun
Nothing else can get us on our feet (hey-y-eiiii)

Until we're gone
In another universe far from the Milky Way

I'll be ready when the time has come
And the ice has melt away
When the colors out on display

And the people who got lost
All the souls that stayed in frost
Will unfold into a sunny day

Chorus:

Soil of the Sun
Nothing else can get us on our feet (hey-y-eiiii)

Until we're gone
In another universe far from the Milky Way

Rieg's creative idea behind The Absynth Ritual album was inspired by the fact that the "Absynth" word is very like the word "Absinth". With a little fantasy, the Absynth word relates to both synthesizers and Absinth, which is an alcoholic drink with some special attributes to it.

Some of the artists and authors around a century ago, -"the bohemians" used a lot of the trendy Absinth drink at the time (which still can be bought in some countries). However, it was also believed that long time use of Absinth could lead to excentrism and madness.

The Absinth color is normally green and when water blends with Absinth (as part of the Absinth Ritual), the visual, ghostly effect in the glass is called the Green Fairy. So Rieg have used the Absinth and all around it as themes for the music in this album.

The Green Fairy is a relatively light tune illustrating happy fairies, flying and dancing in the absynth g... -sorry, absinth glass.

The Absynth tune starts out quietly as from a harmonic and peaceful soul, but ends up more wild (as from a soul affected by long time use of "Absinth").

Daughters of Doom, is kind of a musical journey, where these daughters (green fairies) first was sent away and doomed, but later was rescued and could return home. This piece is kind of classical in style, blended with electronic music and new age style style.

The Absynth Ritual is just a honor to the Absinth Ritual, which is a special ritual for making this drink. Some of this can be seen on the front cover. but with an electronic musical twist. You can even see the green fairy in the bulb in the glass. Thanks to the artist Geir Opdal and his brilliant interpretation in the making of this cover, by mixing both the (real) absinth ritual with electronic musical elements.

A Wonderful Day was special composed as part of a mini concert in a bohemian party where Rieg performed live. Yes, some guests did actually drink Absinth in that party too. Don't ask who... :) This track is a bonus track not originally meant to be included on this album.
Yamaha PS-30 (1981) + Ti2 = demo 1 by Alba Ecstasy
From: adimsimion

A demo of the rare Yamaha PS-30 (1981) versus Acces Virus Ti2.
You can read more about this beautiful Yamaha PS-30 here: http://weltenschule.de/TableHooters/Yamaha_PS-30_PS-20.html

I just picked this synth 1 day ago for about 50 bucks!
In this video, the Yamaha is passed by a reverb effect from Korg Radias.
You just have to see /listen for yourself and... comment!

Posted on http://worldofsynthesizers.blogspot.com/

Retrogene by Steven Lipcsei [λιπ]

One word can define the music from this album: SPECTACULAR!
One of my favorites songs, composed by Bruno Ender Lee.

VELVET VOYAGE - "Velvet VOYAGER" (part 3) - by Bruno Ender Lee, September 18. 2011
Every sound was created with the MiniMoog Voyager (Old School), recorded on 3 double-stereo-tracks (bass, effects & leads. Each Voyager-output, L & R, runs through a different stereo-panning-delay, Behringer DD600, with different timing). Filmed during recording of the effects.

Posted on http://worldofsynthesizers.blogspot.com/

Galaxy The Space Dolphin by LarsDF (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Blade Runner Theme on a Ti Polar. All Synths, sounds, bangs, FX etc. were programmed only using the Virus Ti Polar. Ableton is only running as the midi sequencer with a compressor & video player. Its no where as good as the real thing but it was painstaking fun to tweak, a great way to get to know your gear by the way. Respect to Vangelis for coming up with such a brilliant soundtrack.
