My delight is in you (Draw Me Close)

2013-01-03T01:39:00.004+00:00

My delight is in You Lord
On your word I set my heart
You are peace, You are calm for my restless soul
Lord you light my way through the dark

I want to know you even more
Holiness is my desire
Purify, burn in me, come and make me clean
You refine me in Your fire

Here I am, open arms, draw me close to your heart
You're my life, You're my refuge
My delight, my delight is in you

My delight is in you

My delight is in You, Lord

You're the treasure I have found
You're the rock where I stand, I will not be moved
All my life is in Your hands

Children of Light (Let It Shine/It's a new day)

2013-01-03T01:17:00.005+00:00

It's a new day, everything changed when Your love came into the darkness
You sent the light of the Son

Wake up, open your eyes, no longer dead, we are alive
Rise up children of light, open the doors, go let it shine

There is freedom in your kingdom
For You Jesus we will be dancing, this is Your song

Song for the broken, let it shine
Into the shadows, let it shine
Hope for the whole world, let it shine
Let it shine!

Come To The Water

2013-01-03T01:02:00.005+00:00

Come, come to the water all who are thirsty, come and be filled
come, come to the river brothers and sisters, come and be healed

We believe in the kingdom come
We believe in the risen Son
You bring our hearts to life
Lord we come with our hands up high
We believe you will satisfy
You bring our hearts to life
You bring our hearts to life
We are alive

See the people returning, the love of the father drawing us in
See salvation coming, Jesus our Savior, light of the world

Let revival come, let the people sing the glory of Your name

God's Great Dance Floor

2013-01-03T00:46:00.001+00:00

I'm coming back to the start where you found me
I'm coming back to your heart now I surrender
Take me, this is all I can bring

You'll never stop loving us
No matter how far we run
You'll never give up on us
All of heaven is shouting, let the future begin

I am alive on God's great dance floor!

This song is on Martin Smith's God's Great Dance Floor EP. This song is also track 5 on Chris Tomlin's upcoming album 'Burning Lights'

Lord Our God

2013-01-02T17:55:00.002+00:00

Promise maker, promise keeper
You finish what you begin
Our provision through the desert
You see it through til the end
You see it through til the end

The Lord our God is ever faithful
Never changing through the ages
From this darkness You will lead us
and forever we will say You're the Lord our God

In the silence, in the waiting
still we can know You are good
All your plans are for Your glory
Yes we can know You are good
Yes we can know You are good

We won't move without You, we won't move without You
You're the light of all and all that we need

Who has the power to raise the dead

Who can make the blind to see
Who holds the keys that set us free
He paid it all to bring us peace

Saints and angels all adore
I join with them and bow before
Jesus, only Jesus

Who can command the highest praise, who has the name above all names
You stand alone, I stand amazed Jesus, only Jesus

The highest praise is Yours in all the earth!

With its simple structure and small range, this song is a great place to start if you're looking to introduce something from #Passion2013 to your church or small group. If you're a male leader, try playing it in G or A instead (Capo 4 or 5).

First heard led by Christy Nockels and the Passion Worship Band on the 1st night of Passion 2013.

Shout (Let Justice Roll)

2013-01-02T15:28:00.003+00:00

I hear the sound of an army waking
I feel the ground under my feet shaking
Let justice roll like a river...
We're your hands, we're your feet, your people love good hate what's evil
Let justice roll like a river, let justice roll...

We shout, shout for Your kingdom come
Shout, shout and the walls fall down
Our God be praised, whoa oh oh oh
We shout, shout to the ends of the earth
Shout, shout until You return
Our God be praised, whoa oh oh oh

You're the friend of the ones forgotten
You fight the cause of the weak and broken
Let justice roll like a river, let justice roll like a river, let justice roll...

Someone's gonna dance for the first time
Someone's gonna run to freedom
Hear the music, here it comes

Once and For All (We Believe)

2013-01-02T15:05:00.000+00:00

Once and for all the Father's love
He is the light in the darkness
He took on flesh and took our place
The weight of the world on His shoulders
The weight of the world on His shoulders

We believe our God is Jesus
We believe that He is Lord
We believe that He has saved us
From sin and death once and for all

Once and for all our debt is paid, there on the cross it is finished
The Lamb of God for us was slain
Up from the grave He is risen, up from the grave He is risen

Jesus, Jesus, God from God, light from light, You are our Salvation
Jesus, Jesus, God from God, light from light, Your kingdom is forever

Burning In My Soul

2013-01-02T01:47:00.001+00:00

There is power, power
Here in this hour, hour
We are all together, together
Waiting here as one

Whoa, hear the sound from heaven!
Whoa, a mighty rushing wind!
Whoa, we're calling for revival!
God let your fire fall again,
It's burning in my soul!

All Your sons and Your daughters Dreaming the dreams of their father
seeing the signs and the wonders, the kingdom of God

I cannot contain it, it's burning inside
I cannot contain it, so let it shine
I cannot contain it this light of mine It's burning in my soul

Chords
Throughout: G#m G#m E B
Except F# on 'God let your fire fall again'
Bridge (I cannot contain it): F# F# E B
Key: B

When leading at church or small group, you might want to drop this down to G or F. Lots of the words lend themselves to actions, so it might make a good kids song!

First heard led by Brett Younker and the Passion Worship Band on the 1st night of Passion 2013.

Kingdom Come (Soul Survivor) Album Review

2012-11-24T10:13:00.003+00:00

Let me make something clear before I start: this is a fantastic resource and a must-have for young people who attended this year's festivals. The first few tracks, 'Giving You My All' and a cover of Hillsong's 'Go' (with added rapping), are a rousing start to the album, but after that things start to struggle.

The title track is well produced, but to a point where the live power is lost, covers of Cantelon's 'Guardian' and 'New Day' are bearly distinguishable from the original studio recording, and the seemingly random track order means the album lacks flow. On the second 'Momentum' disk, Sam Bailey's cover of Christy Nockels' 'Waiting Here For You' lacks the simplicity of the live version from the Passion conference.

There’s a silver lining in the offerings from Rend Collective, including a folked-up new arrangement of 'You Bled', injecting lots of energy and a new sound into this album. The simple and truthful lyrics of Bailey's 'My Heart' are backed up by a funky rhythm and tune that wouldn't be difficult for a congregation to sing. The rocking 'Exalted One' gives Beth Croft's incredible voice a real chance to shine, while 'Forever Reign' is a cover they've pulled off really well, feeling really natural and capturing the Big Top atmosphere.

Don't get me wrong - Beth, Tom and Sam have God-given talents in their worship leading and song writing, but it's a shame that the live worship has been cut-up and polished into something else. This is an album that should be leading thousands across the country into a place of worship, and I pray that however astray the production has gone that this is still the case.
