In this weeks song selection, we included a popular hymn "As the deer". This hymn is taken directly from the beginning of Psalm 42. Take a minute and read the whole chapter. David is distressed but reminds himself: "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." David, a man after God's own heart, experienced extreme, hard times. Things happen in life that can leave us feeling distraught, but taking our cue from David, may our souls pant for refreshment in God and may we put our hope in Him.

Psalm 42

¹ As the deer pants for streams of water,
   so my soul pants for you, my God.
² My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.

Resurrection Sunday

We had a great service with Greenwoods Community Church on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many from the community coming together to praise and worship God on Holy Friday.

Good Friday Service

Long time no write! Our family was sick for a while and then we fell off the band wagon when it came to organization. It all snowballed when we fell behind. So sorry we haven't been much help if you have been looking for song lists.

Joel (the praise leader) sat out one week when he was too sick to play and Dan (the church treasurer with many talents) filled in. We heard great things about the service! Thank you Dan and praise God that he helped pull everything together at the last minute.

Our Holy Friday service will be this Friday at 6pm. Greenwoods Community Church will be joining us and has graciously offered to do two specials and a hymn.
