Rules & Regulations

GENERAL RULES

1. All entries must be a group of four (4) persons. Other than group of four (4) persons will be automatically disqualified.
2. Only one entry per student is allowed.
3. Participations are limited to the first 20 teams only.
4. Submission after dateline will not be entertained.
5. Submission that does not follow the criteria will be automatically disqualified.
6. All correspondence must be in English.
7. Advisor are not allowed to help in the design and assembly, as well as the making of the presentation.
8. All decisions made by the judges are final.
9. Participation assumes the acceptance of the regulations.
10. The maximum dimensions for the inventions:
a) Width : 1.5 m
b) Length : 1.5 m
c) Height : 1.5 m

11. Registration and briefing is on 16th April 2013 (8pm-9pm).
12. Participants must be punctual at all times and follow the instruction given by the committee members.
13. Grievance :

Grievances must be made verbally or in writing by the competitor (griever) to the judges between the competition start and 10 minutes after the competition end. If the judges’ decision is not accepted, a written grievance must be submitted by the griever within 30 minutes to the operations center using the grievance form (the committees will have grievance forms available). A deposit and processing fee is charged to the team who would like to make a complaint and not returnable.

At this point the head of the judges will make a decision. The griever may appeal the decision of the head of the judges to the Grievance Committee within 30 minutes of the decision. In this case, the Grievance Committee will be convened and make a final decision. All decisions made by the Grievance Committee are final.

This year, we have created a new slogan. "Achieving Healthy Environment" is the slogan for World Varsity Engineering Challenge for the year 2013. What do you expect from this slogan?

Well, there are many things that we can do in achieving healthy environment. Our objectives in the World Varsity Engineering Challenge is to challenge each team to create and build one design based on the slogan. In order to reduce pollutants and be energy saving.
