3. To delete a post or page, locate the item you want to delete. If you’re working within the post or page editor, you can find the “Move to Trash” button in the Publish module. Simply click on this button to move the item to the trash.

4. Alternatively, you can go to the “Posts” section in the left-hand menu and click on “All Posts” to see a list of all your posts. Similarly, for pages, go to “Pages” and select “All Pages”.

5. Once you’ve selected “All Posts” or “All Pages”, you’ll see a list of all your posts or pages, respectively. To move a specific post or page to the trash, place your cursor over the item. A list of action options will appear beneath the title. Locate and click on the “Trash” link to move the item to the trash.

6. After moving the item to the trash, you have the option to undo the move by clicking on the “Undo” link at the top of the WordPress dashboard. This will immediately restore the item and remove it from the trash.

7. It’s important to note that items placed in the trash will be permanently deleted after thirty days. However, if you want to delete the item immediately without waiting for the thirty-day period, you can go to the “Trash” section in the left-hand menu. Click on “Trash” and hover over the item you want to permanently delete. A “Delete Permanently” option will appear – click on it to permanently delete the item.

8. One thing to keep in mind is that different types of content have their own unique trash folders. This is to protect you from accidentally permanently deleting important items. So, if you’re trying to restore an item, make sure to visit the appropriate trash folder for posts, media, pages, or comments.

Remember, if you ever need to delete a post or page on WordPress, you can easily move it to the trash and either restore it or permanently delete it based on your preference.

Like categories, tags help to organize the posts on your site, as well as provide searchable keywords that make it easier for users to find your content. Tags are more descriptive than categories and are completely optional for your post.

To add a tag, simply follow these steps:

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard. This is usually done by adding “/wp-admin” to the end of your domain name (e.g., www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).

2. Once you are logged in, you will be taken to the WordPress dashboard. On the left-hand side, click on “Posts” and then “All Posts” to view all your existing posts.

3. Find the post to which you want to add tags, and hover your cursor over it. You will see several options appear below the post title.

4. Click on “Edit” to edit the post.

5. You will now be taken to the edit post screen. On the right-hand side, you will see a section labeled “Tags” under the “Document” tab.

6. Click on the text box next to “Tags” and start typing the tag you want to add.

7. Once you have typed the tag, hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard, or click on the “Add” button next to the text box. The tag will be added.

8. If you want to add multiple tags, simply separate them with commas. For example, if you want to add the tags “WordPress,” “Blogging,” and “Website,” type them in the text box like this: “WordPress, Blogging, Website.”

9. After adding all the tags you want, click on the “Update” button on the right side of the screen to save your changes.

10. If your theme and widgets support it, your tags can be shown on your posts or in the sidebar. This allows users to easily find other posts that have used the same tags.

11. Finally, click on the “Publish” button at the top right corner of the screen to make your post live on your website.

Now you know how to add tags to your WordPress posts! By adding relevant and descriptive tags, you can improve the organization and discoverability of your content on your website.

To upload new files such as images and videos to your media library, follow these step-by-step instructions:

1. Log in to your WordPress website and access the admin dashboard.

2. In the sidebar on the left-hand side, scroll down to find the “Media” option. Click on it to expand the menu.

3. From the expanded menu, select “Add New”. This will take you to the multi-file uploader screen.

4. On the multi-file uploader screen, you have two options to upload files:
a. Drop Files: Simply drag and drop the files you want to upload from your computer onto the designated area on the screen.

b. Select Files: Click on the “Select Files” button. This will open a file explorer window, allowing you to browse and select the files you want to upload.

5. If your browser is having compatibility issues with the multi-file uploader, WordPress provides an option to use an older version. To access the older version, click on the “Browser uploader” link located at the bottom of the screen.

6. Once you drop or select your files, a progress bar will appear, indicating the upload progress for each file. Wait for the progress bar to reach 100% for each file.

7. After the upload is complete, you can click on the “Edit” button next to each uploaded file. This will redirect you to the media editor, where you can make any desired modifications, such as adding a title, caption, alt text, or description to the file.

8. In the media editor, you can also choose additional options, such as linking the file to a specific page or post, selecting its alignment, or even setting it as a featured image.

9. Once you have made all the desired modifications, click the “Update” button to save your changes. You can also click the “Delete Permanently” option if you wish to remove the file from your media library entirely.

10. Congratulations! You have successfully uploaded and edited files in your WordPress media library. Repeat these steps whenever you need to add more files to your website.

4. Start by adding a title to your page. The title block is required and cannot be removed like other blocks.

5. Next, you can start adding your content to the default block that is already created. You can add text, images, videos, and more using various blocks available in the editor.

6. If you prefer the classic content editor from previous versions of WordPress, you can change the block type to “Classic.” This option is available in the block settings.

7. In case you have already added your content and decide to switch to blocks, you can click on the options button and select “Convert to Blocks.” This will automatically convert any content, such as images or text, into their respective block types.
8. Once you are satisfied with your content, you can preview what your post or page will look like. Click on the “Preview” button to see how it will be displayed to your website visitors.

9. If you are still making changes and not yet ready to publish, make sure to save your document as a draft. You can do this by clicking on the “Save Draft” button.
10. Finally, when you are ready for your post or page to go live, click on the “Publish” button to make it visible to your audience.

Using WordPress to create posts and pages is relatively straightforward with its user-friendly interface. Follow these steps, and you’ll be able to create and publish content on your website in no time.

While you may not need them all the time, revisions can be very useful if you need to recover an older version of a poster page or just to see what you wrote in a previous save. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use revisions in WordPress:

Step 1: Access the “Revisions” Box
If you don’t see the revisions box on your edit screen, turn it on from the screen options. By default, it will be added under the content editor, but it can be moved anywhere you want it.

Step 2: View Your Revisions
Regardless of whether you have the revisions box displayed on your screen, any changes you have made to your content will be seen here. WordPress makes a new revision every time you save a draft, publish, or update published content, as well as periodic autosaves.

Step 3: Navigate through Revisions
Clicking on a revision will take you to the revision comparison page, or click “browse” next to revisions in your published box. Use the previous and next buttons to scroll through your revisions or drag the slider to jump through the timeline.

Step 4: Compare Revisions
In the main window, you can see the changes that have been made to your content. The items highlighted in red are the “before,” and the items highlighted in green are the “after.”

Step 5: Restore a Revision
Clicking “restore this revision” will restore the content highlighted in green. By default, this only compares consecutive revisions.

Step 6: Compare Any Two Revisions
If you wish to compare your current save with a save that is further back, click the box next to “compare any two revisions.” This will split your slider, allowing you to compare any two revisions on the timeline.

Step 7: Restore an Older Version
In order to restore the older version, you will need to move the slider on the right to the position of the one on the left and click “restore this revision.” This will take you back to the edit page where you can update and publish your content.

Managing revisions in WordPress can help you easily track and restore changes in your content. By following these steps, you’ll be able to utilize this feature effectively..

1. From the dashboard, select “Posts” or “Pages.” To do this, log in to your WordPress website with your username and password. Once you are in the dashboard area, look for the “Posts” or “Pages” option in the left-hand sidebar. Click on it to proceed.

2. Click on the “Trash” link. After selecting either “Posts” or “Pages,” you will see a list of all your existing posts or pages. At the top of the list, you will find a tab or link labeled “Trash.” Click on it to proceed to the trash section.

3. Here, you will find a list of all the items you have placed in the trash within the last thirty days. In the trash section, you will see a complete list of all the posts or pages that you have deleted or removed within the past thirty days. This list is where you can find the items you want to restore, view, or permanently delete.

4. Items left in the trash will be permanently deleted in thirty days. It is important to note that any item you have placed in the trash will be automatically deleted after thirty days. If you do not restore or permanently delete the item within this time frame, it will be gone forever.

5. Hover your mouse over an item placed in the trash to reveal options. To interact with the items in the trash, simply hover your mouse over the specific post or page you want to deal with. This will bring up a list of options you can choose from.

6. You can either choose to delete the item permanently, never to be seen again, or restore it back to the posts or pages section of your dashboard for immediate use. From the options that appear when you hover over an item in the trash, you can choose to permanently delete the item by clicking on the “Delete Permanently” option. If you want to restore the item, click on the “Restore” option, and it will be moved back to the “Posts” or “Pages” section of your dashboard.

By following these steps, you can easily manage the items in your trash, whether you want to restore them or permanently delete them from your WordPress website.

To create a new post, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your WordPress website using your username and password. This will take you to the WordPress dashboard.

2. On the left-hand sidebar, click on “Posts.” This will expand the options related to posts.

3. From the expanded options, click on “Add New.” This will take you to the post editor screen where you can create your new post.

4. In the title box at the top of the editor, enter a name for your post. This will be the title that appears on your website.

5. Below the title box is the text editor, where you can start writing your post’s content. You can type directly into the editor or paste content from another document.

6. As you write, you can use the formatting options in the toolbar to format your text, such as making it bold, italic, or adding headings.

7. If you need to add images, videos, or other media to your post, click on the “Add Media” button above the text editor. This will allow you to upload files or choose media from your media library.

8. Once you are satisfied with your text and media, you can click the “Preview” button in the publish box on the right side of the screen. This will show you a preview of how your post will look on your website.

9. If you are not ready to publish your post yet but want to save your progress, click the “Save Draft” button. This will save your post as a draft, allowing you to come back to it later and continue editing.

10. When you are ready to publish your post and make it visible to the public, click on the “Publish” button in the publish box. Your post will now be live on your website and accessible to your visitors.

Please note that while WordPress offers various modules and post editing options to further customize your content, those will be covered in another video or tutorial.

6. Once you have added the title, you can begin adding your content to the default block that’s already created. This default block allows you to add text, images, and other elements.

7. If you prefer using the classic content editor from previous versions of WordPress, you can change the block type to “Classic.” Simply click on the block options button (three vertical dots), and then select “Classic” from the drop-down menu.
