That’s true, since Yellow! is an awesome minimalist one-column PSD weblog theme with elegant typography and nothing to distract from the main content. The main body text is centered on index and justified on single page with letterpress text effect.

The clean and minimalist layout bended me on my knee by the first sight. It made me really, really want to make a WordPress version of Yellow!. And now, my wish comes true.

There are several minor changes I have done to the theme, though. I changed the Delicious font to Amaranth from Google Web Fonts –with letterpress effect. I set the default paragraph align to the left instead of center, added icon tags, and changed tag icon in footer.

Yellow! is very ideal for personal blog use, espescially if you create a photo blog because each post featured image has 760 x 300 pixel size. Hope you guys like it.

Crafting Spiky took pretty long time, it started from looking for unique concept, designing the PSD files, then we reconcile all of them together into a WordPress child theme. Since this is a premium theme, we work harder so this theme looks good in all latest WordPress theme post formats (yes, it’s the Twenty Eleven). We did distinctive styling for the post formats, e.g. the Standard, Aside, Link, Gallery, Status, Quote, Image.

Look at the home page. The header uses vertical ribbon and is followed by auto-arranged 3 element columns, there is a 3-columned footer and green ribbon, while the zigzag content border also beautifies the theme. All these uniqueness inspired us to name this theme “Spiky”.

p.s. Although we use food photos in the theme demo, the use of Spiky is not limited for restaurant, snack, and everyone in the food & beverages industry. It is just for the sake of raising your appetite. Hope you guys like it.

A new prime minister was elected, although many parties sputter and criticize almost about anything, but the country and the people move on. Just like what they always did, since Japan is definitely one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world, but they are also the leading country in the field of disaster management.

If we take all the critics relate to its economic performance aside, there are a lot of things to learn from Japan. It’s amazing how they managed to recover very quickly.
