Theatre in Steve Martin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile," directed by Lamont E. Clegg.

The Osceola County School for the Arts is presenting it's production of comedian Steve Martin's historically perceptive stage comedy "Picasso at the Lapin Agile."

Just a few miles away from the emerging "Orlando Actor's Theatre" this is another example of Central Florida's growing theatre community, with more audience and performing opportunities for actors as the months go by during the construction of the new performing arts center in downtown Orlando.

The New Orlando Performing Arts Center will be named the Dr. P. Philips Orlando Performing Arts Center.

Orlando is known for it's water oriented theme parks like Aquatica, Discovery Cove and Seaworld, where the kids can get acquainted with the animals that live in our world's oceans.

So who was Doctor Philips that he would have a new Performing Arts Center costing hundreds of millions of dollars to build? Think Oranges. Dr. Philips developed the canning process that enabled Florida's citrus growers to take blemished fruit that were not high enough quality to crate and ship North as table fruit and make a salable product out of them. Canning orange juice also meant that excess production would not go to waste and could be stored indefinitely, smoothing-out the growers income during the year.

and Performing in Orlando, Florida. There is an interesting local Entertainment Convergence that the tourists never see as they spend their days in the theme parks and visit the night time entertainment districts owned by the same Orlando vacation corporations.

Aquatica is new water park where the kids can experience the inhabitants of the world's oceans close-up and personal.

When Elvie Presley Enterprises was purchased by Robert F.X. Sillerman of the CKX Corporation (who also owns the American Idol Television show) we were thinking "what can Robert Sillerman do with all those old songs that everybodys heard a thousand times?" Then American Idol started Elvis Theme Week to give the talent competition's "Final Four" a chance to work with some of what has become American Classic songs.

Orlando, Florida is home to Universal Studios The Simpson's Ride as well as Gatorland and Seaworld, entertainments with animals as the central characters.

Orlando also has petite ballet dancers as well as dolphins leaping into the air as the Orlando Ballet Company stages various productions during the season.

In the past we have written about Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, who we felt were treated unfairly by the broadcast, print and Internet media. It is more challenging to write about the ballet whose creators and artists rarely make the the news and never appear on Entertainment Tonight.

That man Peter Jackson again! The film - maker extrordinaire responsible for directing the Lord of the Rings triology, and the remake of the classic 1930's King Kong, will produce the remake of another British World War Two classic, "The Dam Busters."

Slimmer and minus the spectacles (he now wears contact lenses) Peter Jackson has begun his new project in his Wellington studio in New Zealand's lower North Island.

The original film portrayed the exploits of 617 Squadron and its 19 four engined Lancaster bombers during its months of training and the actual mission to blow up dams in Germany's Rhine area. It involved 133 people including the 19 pilots and crew, who successfully smashed the Moehne and Eder dams in Germany on May 16 1943. The resulting floods killed over 1200 people and destroyed many factories involved in the German war effort.

Time is running out - join Qassia now while it is still in private beta and opportunities begin to diminish.

I'm glad I joined Qassia nearly two weeks ago and have made quiet and good progress; earning Qassia dollars which will be able to be exchanged for services later on through referrals; submitting intel (written contributions);screening(surveying other's intel).

I have noticed that most of my referrals have taken little or no part in the program. Thats their prerogative: You can lead a horse to water but you can"t make it drink.

What a tiny little gem! Just 3 characters and a single hotel room brewed into a fantastic moral thriller that keeps you riveted at the edge of your seat for an hour and twenty four minutes. That’s quite a feat.

Yes, it’s all talking heads, as is the case with all scripts adapted from stage plays. But Ethan Hawke (at the time married to Uma Thurman in real life) brings an electrifying suspense to the script with his no-holds-barred acting.

NASCAR's Cup Series of races is one of the most regulated sporting events in the world. There is a 96 page manual of specifications just covering the construction of the race cars that were designed by NASCAR Research and Development and then supplied to the various racing teams crew chiefs and mechanics to prefect.
In the races prior to the July holiday weekend Hendricks Motorsports drivers Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson's crew chiefs were both suspended and fined $100,000 for altering the top surface of their Chevy race car's surface shape to create more downforce on the front-ends of the cars.
