Indie BookFest 2013 is an day long event (starting at 8:00 AM and ending with a cocktail reception in the evening) celebrating Indie Authors and Artists and their freedom of expression. Join some of your favorite Indie Authors for a day filled with book signings, sessions, and lots of good food and great fun! You won't want to miss the sessions throughout the day, where several panelists will be speaking on a variety of topics relevant to writing, publishing, promoting your books, and all things indie.

Indie BookFest 2013 will be held at the Buena Vista Palace in Buena Vista, FL, on August 3rd, 2013 ... just minutes from all the Disney and Universal parks! Everyone attending Indie BookFest 2013 will have access to special room rates while staying at the Buena Vista Palace. Turn this one day event into a fun little getaway and indulge in the sunshine and parks while you are visiting the Orlando area.

I'm back!! Or am I??

After three months of not posting anything and feeling utterly guilty about it, I am back.

Not a whole lot has been happening in my life as of lately, and most of what is, isn't too pleasant, so ther isn't much to say. Unfortunately, my writing has been very minimal almost close to the non existent. The ideas are coming in, being recorded and written down, but to actually put them into chapters has been very hard.

I decided to post a very short scene from Forevermore (book 3 in the Trilogy) below. It is in Abbie's POV as we will be learning more about her and her evilness.

"I nodded and looked past her and out the window. The moon was full and overly white, and before I could stand my ground, I slipped into it.

I walked through the empty and dark dirt road, hiding in the darkest corners keeping away from any wondering eyes. “No one must see you,” is what he had said. The warm feelings that came from thinking of him swarmed inside my belly like a thousand happy butterflies. Soon I would be in his arms and nothing else would matter.

Once I had finally reached the barn, I pushed the heavy door open and hurried in, seeking warmth from the icy wind that had whipped my face as I had made my way here.

The barn wasn't much warmer, and my body shivered painfully. I was not used to such feeling but I welcomed it anyhow, I had done all of this for him. He was everything I wanted, everything I needed, and tonight would be the first in a lifetime together.

I sat on a pile of hay across from the horses that watched me intently. They knew I was different, or at least had been... animals can always sense it. Wrapping my arms around my knees I rested my chin on them and closed my eyes. There was something in the air, something that did not sit well with me, a scent stronger than anything I had experienced during the day. I looked up and out the small window on the side of the barn. The sky was black. Darker than I had ever seen it, but the whiteness of the moon calmed my uneasiness.

That's when it began.

Things that go Bump in the Night

Damaris from Good Choice Reading and Trini from A Book-lover's Review we are such big fans of so many books, that they asked authors to give them a little glimpse into their favorite characters lives during Halloween. Over thirty authors are participating!!

Ok so here are the details of the event.

From Damaris' blog:

"We have asked a couple of our favorite bloggers to help with this event: Books With Bite, The Book Reaper, & Once Upon A Twilight. They, along with Trini and I, will be posting up Halloween scenes with some of our favorite characters written by the author, plus host giveaways throughout this event. I just wanted to come on by and say really quickly how much I love you all! Thank you to everyone who has gotten a copy of Fallenmore. I hope you're enjoying the Trilogy.
Now, I had given a tentative date of release for the third and final book, Forevermore, somwhere in November. Although I will try to keep my promise, due to some personal issues I will no longer have as much time to write as I would want. But I promise I will try my hardest to get Forevermore out as soon as possible!
