and that since I can't replicate the same characters over a couple of panels, I resort to drawing stickmen - and not incredibly pretty ones at that.

But the 'great reveal + zoom in' scenes are fun to draw. :D

Exams are over, and I'm just really glad they are. It's not the kind of relief you get when you go all 'YAYYY OMGWTFBBQLOL EXAMS ARE OVERRRR WE ARE FREEEE' but more of 'Whew. Finally.'

Either way, it's good to be free. For a while, at least...

I meant to post this a while ago, but put it off for a while.

Trust me on this one - the kite IS there. It's just really really really high up. Nobody's pretending to be kite flying.

But just in case you don't believe me, that's not my picture there. :)

This was the highlight - I can tell people I've been on a winter dip in the sea on an island at the edge of the earth. :D

To be fair, it was towards the end of winter, and a really really nice, relatively warm day of winter. But keyword being relatively. Still.

Of Really Bad Analogies

It's such a bad analogy, it's as bad as the kind of badness that comes not from a badass gangster, but the chubby fifteen year old wannabe gangster who attempts rapping in saggy jeans and spouts ridiculous and horribly lame lines; not in a funny way, but in a utterly uninspired, declamatory, and painful way.

That was a sad attempt at an ironic, bad analogy. In hindsight, I can't imagine why I even tried. I can't beat 'female reproductive system = man playing hide-and-seek holding rugby balls'.

On another note, there's no way that's an AB with those rugby balls. Probably Quade Cooper. Go ABs!

I know I haven't updated in ages. Life goes it's course and we have our own courses (get it? Uni courses? :D Course? Pun right there in case you missed it. Uh huh.) that keep us occupied... Another small part of the reason I didn't post anything was that the previous post was the 500th, and well... I didn't just wanna post a stupid piece of nothing or the standard "I know I haven't posted but here's something to show this blog is alive so please don't all run away just yet" post.

But then there weren't really any words I could think of worthy of the golden 500th spot. Tho I suppose, given what this blog has turned into, words aren't really necessary all the time.

Life is a mystery. That probably sounds like a very clichéd Tumblr line, but it really is. In the best way.

I originally wanted to say something about this whole... blog... thing, given that I've reached the 500th mark and I probably should for the sake of keeping the gods of Cliché-ness happy. All I can think of to say, looking back at about four years of blog history, is that things have changed amazingly and tremendously (amazingly tremendously too), and I guess I'm glad for that.

And well... Being alive is awesome.

p.s. I'm sorry I couldn't make this post any more clichéd. I thought I hit all the right spots already, but well... Probably needs more Tumblr quotes tho. Sorry bout that.

2nd Sem

I can't decide if this sem is going to be a better one because I kind of know how things work now, or if it's not, simply because lazy me feels like I'm going to burn out in a little bit. I suppose I ought to make a resolution of some sort to make sure the latter doesn't happen.

Lack of inspiration/ time to do any doodles recently. Maybe soon. :)
