I have not been counting but I have noticed that many times I was in Walgreens having things done I saved a lot of money and learned more than I know. Like one time not too long ago, I needed picture develop off a memory card. An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand and pulling a malebuffalowith the other. He says to the waiter:

"Want coffee."

The waiter says, "Sure Chief. Coming right up."

He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee.....

The Indian drinks the coffee down in one gulp, turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, causing parts of the animal to splatter everywhere and then just walks out.

When your children grow up you are kind of excited about the fact that they have graduated from college and are ready to move on to the next stage of their lives. It is hard for a parent to see all that happen, but it also makes you proud at what all they have accomplished. Well my twin daughters graduated from college and both have very promising jobs and careers ahead of them. Neither one of them is ready to settle down and get married, but they did decide to buy a small house together in Connecticut so at least they wouldn’t be throwing their money away on rent. I was really nervous at first because I was hoping for maybe a gated apartment community that would make me feel like they were safe. But they insisted they had found exactly what they wanted in this little house in an urban area near downtown. After much debate I convinced them to get a security system through home security systems Connecticut. At least now I won’t worry as much about them. They believe this, but you never stop worrying about your kids no matter what.

Saving money has always been really important to me but now that our second child is here it’s no longer fun and games. You know that show “Extreme Couponing?” I’d like to say I think it’s crazy but to be honest I relate to it as much as I do anything else which is a scary thought. This two-letter word in English has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that word is 'UP.' It is listed in the dictionary as an [adv], [prep], [adj], [n] or [v].

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?

There's just nothing to make me feel a little bit better or happier than dabbing on some sweet smelling perfume. Sometimes I even put perfume on before I go to bed because it's just a nice little addition ot end the night with. I dare say that I even sleep better when I put on perfume before I go to bed at night. But I want to try and pick out a new type of perfume. Every few months I get restless and decide to buy a perfume so now I'm shopping for it.

I've been using my wireless internet to shop around for certain perfumes and comparison pricing. I also got a few suggestions from beauty blogs on perfumes that fit my needs and personality.

When I was picking out a new perfume I narrowed it down to Chance by Chanel and Mark Jacobs Daisy before I went with the Chanel one. I just thought that it smelled so sweet, but not really in a floral way. It smelled like it could be a little mysterious, which was what I was after.

Sunny Sunday : Playtime for Sunny

Today, Sunny played on the couch, hopped around like a little bunny. Sunny played with his favorite duck toy. We laid his toy on the couch and squeezed it to make a squeaky sound and Sunny will start chasing it. He climbed up when we put his toy up on the top of the cushion, and when we put his toy back down and he will climb back down or fly back down and jump around like a bunny again. Guess he enjoyed the chase and tag of his toy back and forth.

After playing, Sunny flew back to his cage where his little mirror is and taps on it. Tapping the mirror is Sunny’s one way of saying that we need to put his toy back. When he got his toy back, he would start kissing and talking to him while looking into the mirror occasionally.

Enjoy Life

Many of us would do different things and various ways to be happy. Some would go to different places to make their self-good. Some would go to the mall and buy things that would make them happy. Some would watch comedy shows. Some would call and talk to a friend. Some would just lift their heads and look to the blue skies. Some would play music they like.

What would really make us enjoy life? Well, we just have to enjoy the people around us. Why? Because whatever we have, whatever we possessed if we do not learn to appreciate or enjoy the people around us, all our happiness is superficial. We have to face the fact that people surround us. We are living in the midst of people. One concrete scenario is the workplace. There are times that we do not enjoy working. One reason is that we do not enjoy the people we are working with.

Lately, I have been impinging on with my work associate. She is a nice woman but lately I observed that she could easily be aggravated. Her fuse is too short. I understand that some of our co-workers are sometimes difficult to deal with. Not only because of the age gap but also because of each of us has different culture. The attitude she have is a little virus that slowly infecting me. I started to think like her also and started not to like some of the co-workers that she does not like, as if I am trying to sympathize with her. However, deep inside me, I know this is not me. I should not feel the way in which she feels. I do not want to be too proud. I do not want to criticize my co-worker every minute. I have to correct this attitude right away. I do not like always wear a puckering eyebrow at work.

Instead of feeling how she feels. I talked to her and advised her to be more patient. I told her to start looking on their good qualities. Stop focusing on their ways that irritates her. Seize on looking on their bad qualities and trying to correct them. It’s not healthy emotionally and mentally to keep on passing judgment on them. Learn and love to enjoy them. Not all of us are perfect. I told her, we do not know they might not like us also. Nevertheless, love always begets love, appreciate always begets appreciate and so respect begets respect. Enjoy the whole package. Start enjoying people and we will enjoy life.

Man, in my opinion, summertime is one of the best times of year to live in New York. I love how the town sort of clears out when everyone goes to the beach and to “summer” somewhere and the heat really brings out the crazy all over the place. I especially like how many street fairs and outdoor concerts are held here during the hotter months and my dog sure does love not having to wear snow boots anymore. The one thing I don’t like about it here in the summer is how stifling hot my apartment gets – it was built in the 1940s and until a few summers ago it didn’t even have air conditioning.
