Drawing with .NET: System.Drawing

In this 56-minute video originally presented at a Code Camp, Wrox author Jacob J. Sanford goes through the intricacies of creating a performance meter using only the objects in the .NET System.Drawing namespace. This video shows how to create basic shapes, such as circles and lines, as well as how to rotate them around your drawing canvas to create exactly the effect you need. The performance meter application shown in the example is an ASP.NET application written in C#, but the System.Drawing principals are easily adapted to other .NET settings.

Eric Engler: Extending Visual Studio 2005 with Add-ins: An Example with SQL Server and C# Code Generation in Visual Studio 2005

In this 69-minute screencast video recorded at the 2007 Atlanta Code Camp, Wrox Technical Editor Eric Engler discusses the benefits of extending Visual Studio 2005 with add-ins. In doing this, he illustrates the process with an example creating an add-in for 2-way SQL code generation: it reads an existing SQL Class and writes updates without the developer using it having to know how it works.
