I went to Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya today for the Sony Centre Warehouse Clearence. The three days event started today.

I was hoping to get a Sony PSP for less price. Fat or Slim? I don’t mind.

Unfortunately, Sony PSP is not on sale.

I asked two different person and get two different answers.

Sales Person 1

Me: Sony PSP on sale or not?

Sales Person 1: You want PSP? Got. RM799.00.

Me: Eh… normal price lah? No discount?

Sales Person 1: Normal price. But I can sell it to you for RM750.00 if you pay cash. I need to order first.

Sales Person 2

Me: Got Sony PSP?

Sales Person 2: No. PSP mana boleh sale… (he mean discount).

Me: Mana tau… old stocks ke…

Sales Person 2: Tak adalah… nanti kacau la…

My quest for PSP ended in 5 minutes. I was very dissapointed. So, I just stayed there for awhile. They sell various electronic items… LCD TV, camcorders, digital cameras, mp3 player and even Sony Ericsson handphones.

One thing that really catch my eyes was the 6GB mp3 player (demo/display unit). RM99.00 only. Damn cheap!. I can’t recall the model number. You can look for it in the attached price list.

I didn’t buy it anyway. I don’t really need an mp3 player.

I didn’t get one.

I’ve googled for the coupons and found out several websites publishing random coupon codes. Various people claimed to have had different success rates with them.

Hmm… I would really like a discount as I’m about to make payment for an item now. Let’s give it a shot!

1. The total payment is US$ 89.95. I entered the codes and clicked ‘Apply’…

2. Whoaa… I can’t believe my eyes. It works. The total payment is now less US$ 25.00! Clicked ‘Continue’.

3. Still looks good. The discounted total price is still there. Time to sign in to my PayPal account.

4. No! The total price is now back to normal. An error notification appeared. It says “The redemption code is linked to another PayPal account and can’t be used with this PayPal account“.

I’ve tried other coupon codes as well with no success. No less price for me I guess.

Sigh…

This Transformers BUMBLEBEE & OPTIMUS PRIME keychain has eight points of articulation - moveable head, arms, legs and waist! Including a metal clasp keyring with chain *. Oopss… not. The only parts that are actually movable and poseable are the arms and legs. Thats it.

Well… at least the word HASBRO is printed under their feet. MEGATRON and BARRICADE are also available.

1. Solution 1 (for programmers only)
   Write a small and simple software. Simple applications such as a scientific calculator or system specification reader will just do. Throw in some extra features and functions. Advertise the product. Make the potential users feel the necessity to purchase instead of downloading freeware applications offered by competitors. Make it available for download from top ranked download sites. Cnet’s Download.com for example. Sell it super cheap. As low as $1 USD and you’ll become instant millionaire when it reaches one million downloads.
2. Solution 2 (for evil hearted person)
   Take advantage of current global crisis. Global food crisis or the tropical cyclone Nargis that hits Myanmar are hot issues on news these days. Create a website. Highlight the selected crisis and request for donations. Minimum donations should at least be $2 USD. With one million people participating, you will receive $2 million in no time. Break the fund into two once you are done. $1 million goes for the needs and the other half is kept by you for running the show (claim it as management cost). You’ll need to state this carefully in a very fine printed ‘Terms and conditions’ which must be agreed by the participants to avoid getting sued.

   I need to remind you that this act is evil. I do not recommend this solution.
   

3. Solution 3 (for people with patience)
   The third one is moral friendly compared to the second solution. But requires a lot of time and effort. Create a blog. Put ‘Pay per click’ advertisement inside it. Let it run for a month and see how the PPC progress. Only $10 USD for one month? No problem. Time to proceed to the next step. How many blog is required to achieve a million dollar? Do the math. Create another 999 blog. Which total up 1000 blog with different content. Do not use the same content on each blog. Creating duplicate content will cause you to be banned by PPC providers. You’ll receive $120, 000 USD in a year (assuming all blog maintains the same PPC income every month). You’ll reach the millionaire target in approximately 10 years time. Its a long run. But still worth it.

Carnivals are one of the easiest ways to get links and traffic and they do it for free. You can submit your article using the multi-carnvival submission form. However, do not spam the carnivals with irrelevant material (only submit to the carnivals that are a match for your content).

Blog Carnival editors will evaluate the articles you submitted and published it in their blog if you qualify. Done in weekly basis.

Its a great free marketing tool.

2 weeks have passed since the first launch. Let’s take a look.

To date, www.temp2escape.com had received 855 visits with 1,655 pages viewed mainly from ten countries worldwide. Malaysia, of course is first on the list followed by United States. Not bad for a two weeks start.

Referring sites such as Google and my existing blog (another) holds 56.26% of the total traffic sources.

As for the Pay Per Click advertisement (I only use Google Adsense, if you noticed), it only managed to squeezed out USD$ 3.00 out of 29 clicks.

Yes. The PPC progress is kinda slow at this moment.

Blogging for money is an art. More skills and techniques are required to success.
