Keel Toys - New 2009 Editions to the Range (1)

Keel Toys have just bought out their new 2009 catalogue.

This years catalogue is full of new exciting editions to their range of soft toys.

As a toy seller I love going to trade fairs to find out what is on offer and as a regular toy seller ... it is easy to spot new editions to manufacturers ranges.

First out of the bag is a new edition to Keels wild cats range. Currently, Keel offer a lion, tiger, white tiger, cheetah and lioness - all available in 3 sizes - 33, 46 & 58 cm. The new edition to this collection is a Lynx. Again, the Lynx will be offered in the full range of sizes.

The largest 58cm wild cat soft toys make really nice decorations to lay across the end of a bed !

Soft toys arent just for children - one of the reasons they are purchased is as a substitute for a loved family pet - though I dont suppose any of the wild cats fall into this category.

Currently Keel make two types of long armed soft monkeys, one is a chimp and the other an orangutan. These two toys are available in two sizes - 50 & 80 cm. The new kid on the block is a Lemur - again available in the two sizes. All these toys have a velcro pad on their hands, so you can hang them up.

There are a lot of new toys that have been added to Keels range and I will only mention 3 in this blog offering, but will mention more in later posts.

Also, although these new toys are in the catalogue, as yet, they are not available for me to order.

Dates for ordering are often changed and its a bit of a waiting game. I kind of expected that when any manufacture premiered a toy at a trade fair, then it would be instantly available for ordering, but that isnt how it works. Some manufacturers (but not Keel) take along one sample
product and use the toy fair to gage reactions before deciding whether to go to manufacture. Ive got my eye on one particluar toy from a manufacturer and just have wait and see if it goes to production.

Now, back to a third new offering from Keel ... its a Barbary Macaque. This little fellow is available in 2 sizes - 20 & 30cm. The catalogue shows him as being gingery in colour with a short dangly white beard which follows round his face from ear to ear.

All these new toys I have actually seen and all 3 are cute and cuddly and should be very popular.
