On the occasion of April's Fool Day prank Google launched "Treasure Maps" i.e.

one more type of view of maps. Google Launched video of "Treasure Maps"

explaining the story behind the it.

Google's marketing manager 'Mike Pegg' says that,

"The map is rumored to contain the clues to Captain Kidd's long lost treasure, however the map contains encrypted symbols and codes and is not readily decipherable".

To use the "Treasure Maps" go to the Google maps & you can see option at the right top side "Treasure".

Google maps already have following three options for maps

2) Maps

3) 3 D (Google Earth)

And now "Treasure Maps" is the fourth one.

The elevated corridor starting from Indranagar jogging track will run for 6 kms till K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research. Biggest Flyover at Nashik Phata Pune

With permission in hand,work on the first multi-layered flyover in the district,at Nashik Phata in Pimpri-Chinchwad,is expected to begin by the end of February.
Speaking to TOI,Ashish Sharma,municipal commissioner said,The PCMC will construct a flyover that will enable motorists to cross the Pavana river,Pune-Lonavla railway tracks,Pune-Mumbai highway and Pune-Nashik highway.Permission from the Railways as well as from the Union ministry of surface transport was needed for the construction,which we have received.
Sharma said that initially the project was to be implemented under the Union governments Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).Later we tried to get loan from the World Bank (WB) for the construction of the Nashik Phata flyover.The WB agreed to give us a loan for the Empire Estate flyover as well as the Nashik Phata flyover.It also approved the format of tenders to be invited for the Nashik Phata flyover project.So now,the flyover will be built partly from JNNURM funds and partly from the WB loan.
Officials of the engineering department said that the two-tiered flyover would be the first in the district and would connect the Dehu Road-Katraj bypass and Pune-Mumbai expressway with the Pune-Mumbai highway and Pune-Nashik highway.
Traffic on the Pune-Mumbai highway will go via the ground layer.Traffic on the Pune-Nashik highway from Pimpale Gurav,Wakad,Kaswarwadi and nearby areas and vice versa will pass through the first layer.There is a provision for vehicles coming from Wakad,Pimpale Gurav,Kaswarwadi and nearby areas to reach the Pune-Mumbai highway and proceed to Pune or Mumbai.The traffic coming from Bhosari and going towards Pune and vice-versa will pass on the second tier of the flyover.
Officials said that traffic coming to Nashik Phata chowk in any direction would be able to cross the chowk without having to stop at the traffic signal.They said that earlier the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) had planned to construct a simple flyover at the Nashik Phata chowk in 2004.But after considering the topography and the traffic conditions at the chowk,a decision was taken to link the Pune-Mumbai expressway to the Pune-Mumbai highway and the Pune-Nashik highway.There was a delay in obtaining permission from the Railways and the Union ministry of surface transport,hence the cost of the project escalated from Rs 60 crore to Rs 93 crore.
Officials said that bids for the flyover project have to be submitted by January 15.It is expected that the tender process will be completed in February and the work will start at the end of that month.
The Pune-Mumbai highway and Pune-Nashik highway meet at Nashik Phata chowk.The PCMC has widened the Pune-Mumbai highway to 61 m while the Pune-Nashik highway has been widened to 42 m.As a result,there is heavy traffic at this chowk.

They’re looking for a few good spies. GCHQ, the intelligence service of the government of the United Kingdom, is looking for some web-savvy cyber-sleuths-to-be, and apparently decided a post on Craigslist wouldn’t quite do it.

So it put up a website with the enigmatic title “Can you crack it?” and spread the word on Facebook, Twitter and other social media. The site has a matrix of letters of letters and numbers on the homepage — surely something is hidden in them — and a place at the bottom inviting you to “Enter Keyword.”

If you crack the code, please let us know — though you may not get the chance. If you enter the right keyword, you’ll get past the homepage and possibly into the intriguing world of intelligence-gathering.

Britain’s GCHQ (short for Government Communications Headquarters; it’s been around since 1918) says it usually recruits bright young people right out of university, but in the digital age, it says, there may be a lot of bright young hackers out there who are worth talking to.

“The target audience for this particular campaign is one that may not typically be attracted to traditional advertising methods and may be unaware that GCHQ is recruiting for these kinds of roles,” said the GCHQ in U.K. media.

“Their skills may be ideally suited to our work and yet they may not understand how they could apply them to a working environment, particularly one where they have the opportunity to contribute so much.”

That may be flattery. Prime Minister David Cameron’s government said last week it is setting up a Joint Cyber Unit to protect against cyber attacks from hacktivists, organized crime, hostile states and would-be terrorists. Having disaffected young hackers work for the government would be better than seeing them work against it.

GCHQ has tried unusual promotions before; in 2009 the BBC says it placed video content on the Xbox Live network, where it appeared during such video games as Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed.

The “Can you crack it?” contest ends Dec. 12; there’s a countdown clock in the lower left corner of the homepage.

At the entrance to the Arlanda airport in Stockolm, Sweden, hostel entrepreneur Oscar Diös transformed a former Pan Am 747-200 jumbo jet into a modern and sophisticated hostel conveniently located just a 10 minute walk to the international airport’s check-in terminals.
Although some of the original parts and signage remain, much of the interior of the plane was removed and replaced with 27 individual cabins of varying configurations. There are a total of nine bathrooms on the plane, some of them communal.

Hopkins Architects have been selected to design a 55,000-seater stadium in Pune, India for the Maharashtra Cricket Association.
It is intended that the MCA Pune International Cricket Centre (MPIC) will be able to host matches for the ICC Cricket World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka in 2011. The practice already has landmark work at London's Lord's and Hampshire County Cricket grounds in its portfolio and has recently strengthened its sports offering with the National Tennis Centre at Roehampton (completed February 2007) and its recent Olympic Velodrome win.
The MPIC project will include: A main 15 wicket match ground with adjacent practice ground for nets and smaller matches; spectator seating for 55,000 grouped into 4 stands including a Members' Pavilion and a Media Stand; additional facilities for 5,000 members including squash, badminton, swimming, spa, restaurants and bars; 80 corporate hospitality boxes; a "state of the art" Indoor Cricket Academy with residential accommodation for youth training schemes; parking for almost 4,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers.
The site is conveniently located close to the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, just outside the city of Pune, with dramatic 360-degree views of mountain ranges. In a notification by Sahara Pune Warriors, they have named Pravin Kalyan Amre as an Assistant Coach for Pune Warriors. Praveen Amre is the third person to be hired for coaching the Pune Warriors Players.
Earlier Sahara Pune Warriors appointed former Australia coach Geoff Marsh as Primary Coach and former England all-rounder Dermott Reeve as Additional Coach.
“Praveen has been one of the finest coaches of Indian. He has been quite successful as Coach with the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team as well as India A team and more importantly he enjoys his place in the team. He is very dedicated towards his work of coaching and will provide additional support our team of support staff,” a Pune Warriors official informed us.
Praveen Amre played 11 test matches and 37 ODI matches in the early 1990′s before taking retirement. He also coached the Mumbai Indians team in the second edition of Indian Premier League – IPL 2009.

In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).

7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?

The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.

Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the JAN LOKPAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.

8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?

A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.

9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare?

Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.

Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.

10. Ok, got it. What can I do?

At least we can spread the message. How?

Putting status message, links, video, changing profile pics.

At least we can support Anna Hazare and the cause for uprooting corruption from India.

At least we can hope that his Hunger Strike does not go in vain.

At least we can pray for his good health.
