Stila sunset..

Now I know I stated in my post a few days ago that 'kitten' was my favourite out of the Stila in the nude palette but I take it back, 'sunset' is my fave. It's nothing ground breakingly original, just a slightly oranged toned bronzey shade which I think really compliments my green eyes. Somehow when working it through the crease it seems to change colour slightly which enables me to just use just this eyeshadow if i'm in a rush. That being said, my shoddy picture which was taken on my iPhone fails to capture this :(... I seriously need camera lessons!

See, nothing ground breaking but I absolutely love it. What's your current favourite eyeshadow?

Well this feels weird..

I haven't blogged in over half a year so excuse me if I ramble on. I thought I'd ease myself in slowly with a favourite products of the month post.

So...first up...

Stila 'In the nude' palette. Yes it's looking a tad grubby but it has been getting a lot of love this month so I forgive myself. In the time I haven't been blogging I have probably bought, at most, 10 pieces of make up... mainly foundations, power, necessities if you will. This however was the only piece that I saw time and time again and just knew I'd end up having to buy it. Obviously I was right because I snapped it up on my 27573883 swatching sesh in boots. The shades are quite similar to Urban Decay's naked palette, but in my opinion they are much better, a lot softer, more pigmented and they 'blend like a dream'. At £27 it's not cheap, but as I use it a lot I don't really mind. My most used shade is........KITTEN (second on the top row) Everyone loves this shade, right? If you would like swatches, please just say in the comments and I will add them in :-).

Estee Lauder - Raspberry pop!, Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy, MAC Toxic tale, MAC Viva glam gaga (if you would like swatches just ask! :)

I've decided nudes don't suit me, they make me look ill which is never a good look. So I've been using a few of my brighter lippies dabbed on, with a similar shade lip gloss on top. Midnight cowboy is nice applied lightly in the centre of the bottom lip and it smells like candy canes. So yum! Viva glam gaga... I hated this for the longest time, now that I have a tan though, it works and I'm loving it.

Stila Matte bronzer. This has been stuffed to the back of my collection for yonks, recently dug it out and i have really enjoyed using it. Not too orange, blends nicely and looks natural!

Benefit They're real mascara. Okay, I lied, this was another product I had to have. I'm not really a fan of plastic brushes as I don't feel they do much but if I take my time with this one my lashes actually look amazing, really long and separated. Pretty expensive at £18 but definitely worth it!

Loreal super liner gloss - Now this is a biggy! I had never worn black eyeliner, it just looked wrong on me. I was bored one day and tried it out, weirdly I loved it and have been wearing it every day without fail. It is really easy to apply, doesn't transfer and only costs around £6-7 in boots and superdrug!

Garnier BB cream. I love this stuff, I've gone through 2 tubes! First things first, it smells gorgeous, really fresh and herbally. It offers a medium coverage which is what I like and it wears well. It can look ~~very~~ shiny so wearing a powder over top is a must (for me!).

COLOURED SKINNIES

Pink, blue, red, yellow...you name it, I want it. I'm a bit boring, I like my darker colours, sometimes add a splash of colour, but for some reason (good reason might I add!) I'm lemming after more out there coloured jeans. Probably to brighten up my days, what with this crappy weather. urgh.

Review; Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic

The lovely Liz Earle ladies very kindly sent me the next step in the Cleanse, tone and moisturize set about a month ago. In that time I have been testing them out and here are my views on the first part..

Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic.

I'll be perfectly honest - I have never used a toner. I've always been wary of using more than one of two products on my face as I have sensitive skin and I'm terrified of getting spots (vain I know!)

Plus, most toners have alcohol in them, which dries out the skin - big no no! However, this one doesn't! It's packed full of Naturally active ingredients; organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin.

Smell is a big importance to me. Instant boost tonic has the most incredible light florally scent, very calm and soothing. A pleasure to use..

To use..

Simply pore some on to a cotton ball and wipe all over the face and neck, after you've cleansed..with Cleanse and Polish, obviously.

It doesn't make any life changing differences (what does?) but it definitely makes my skin feel amazing, look brighter and helps my moisturiser to sink in quicker. LOVE!

I have definitely been converted and will never be without a bottle of this amazing product!

MAC - Semi Precious haul

Semi Precious is the collection I've been waiting for!! I LOVE mineralize products, especially blushes and MSF's, so of course I had to have them all. Although the eyeshadows look gorgeous, I couldn't bring myself to purchase any because Temptalia didn't rate them - BUT...Adrienne and Muhsine swatched the two I really wanted (Smoked Ruby and Golden Gaze) and both said they are incredibly pigmented, so I might have to get them. Again, I wasn't really interested in the lipsticks, but Adrienne and her swatches convinced me that I needed 'Gem of Roses' and 'Lush Amber'. The cremesheen glasses looked pretty, but meh! I'd rather have a new blush. Oh and the brushes! Split fibre! I don't really know what that means or what they're supposed to be used for, but I loved the look of the cheek brush so I purchased that too!

The MSF's are GORGEOUS! I could look at these beauties all day long! They're all really smooth and very pigmented. My absolute favourite is Rose Quartz. I am mega pale but I still purchased Goldstone because, well, Adrienne's swatch told me to! I hope it works for me! Pearl and Crystal pink are definitely more highlighting products but I will let you all know what I think about them in more detail when I've had a little play with them. From first impressions and swatching though, they get a mahooosive thumbs up from me!

I was really surprised with the lipstick in this collection. I had totally written them off as 'nan lipsticks' but no, I was wrong. Gem of Roses is a mid tone strawberry pink and oh my word is it gorgeous! For me, it's a perfect 'my lips but better shade'. Lush Amber is a light nude beige - quite sheer on my pigmented lips but I kinda like this because if it was really really opaque I can tell I wouldn't like it!

Are you still here?? No far to go....

This is such a lovely brush. Like I said above, I'm not sure what to use it for because it seems a bit dense for a cheek brush! I'm thinking foundation? Or cream blush? Or even for highlighting? I'll give all three a whirl and let you know!

Mineralize Blushes.

I love blushes, and from the get go, I was getting all three.

Feeling Flush is a pinky/plummy colour. Very pigmented and not too shimmery. As it has plummy tones, I probably won't reach for this until Autumn/Winter, but it's pretty enough to look at for a few months.

My favourite is surprisingly, 'Pressed Amber'. I wasn't keen on it when I saw swatches but my god, in real-life it is so, super pretty! It's the perfect light contour shade for me, or a very natural blush. Absolutely love it. One of my favourites out of the entire haul.

Warmth of coral I'm kind of on the fench about, it seems very... orange! I expected it to be a bit orangey, but mine is like, mega orange! Does anyone else find this?? I will have a play, but like I said, kinda on the fence about this one. I was really hoping for my perfect peachy/coral blush.

Overall I really like this collection! My favourite's would have to be, Pressed Amber, Lush Amber, Gem of Roses and all the MSF's.

MAC Fashionflower haul........

FINALLY.. I got a black box. I haven't made an order from MAC for ages, so I went a little bit crazy!

I'm going to separate this 'haul' post into two parts as I ordered from both the Semi Precious and Fashionflower collections.

So, Fashionflower. Here's what I bought..

Everhip - I had to get two of the beauties! Can you believe I returned this last year when I purchased it from The give me liberty of London collection?! Such a gorgeous creamy coral, very happy to have this back in my collection!

Fresh Daisy, Bows & Curtseys and Lucky Green eyeshadows - Fresh daisy isn't anything special really, I'm just a sucker for white/ivory/cream eyeshadows. It's a great highlight/lid colour - not too shimmery! Bows & Curtseys and Lucky green (LG is permanent so I just got it in pan form. You can get it in the Fashionflower collection with the flower printed on it though.) I had decided against these eyeshadows but then I saw this post by Nicoletta! I am in love with the eye look she created so I decided to get them. I'm definitely going to try and re-create the look. B&C is a dark hunter green, with some brighter green shimmers. Very pretty! Lucky Green is a bright lime. Again, very pretty! I also really wanted Groundcover but I forgot to ask for it! Silly me...

Alpha girl Beauty Powder - I absolutely did not need another beauty powder, but I like anything remotely peachy so I had to have it. Well I didn't really, but I would've died if I didn't buy it, right? The embossed flower is really pretty, but after a couple of uses it will disappear. It's not majorly pigmented and I find it a little bit chalky, but ho hum, I'll work with it because I love the colour.

I didn't bother with the other beauty powder because I have a few which are probably the same and the the other lipsticks didn't really appeal to me. I liked this collection, but I was more excited month's ago when I thought it was coming out in May!

Batiste goes big!

EVERYONE has heard of Batiste by now I'm sure? Well this is just a quick post to let you all know, they have gone BIG! Yes, they have increased the size of the cans, which is a god send for someone like me with very long and very thick hair.

I was kindly sent a can to try out and although I'm not crazy about the tropical scent, I love that it makes my hair look freshly washed on the morning's I don't have time to wash it and it also gives me some much needed volume. What's not to love!?

It's simple to use; Shake, spray into roots from 30cm's and then smoosh it about with your fingertips.

To depot or not to depot...

Once again, I am considering changing my makeup storage. I've gone from the 2 metre MALM dresser from IKEA, to the 'Micke' desk (from IKEA) with two drawers, and I also have the 9 drawer Alex unit from IKEA. Yes, I love IKEA! I really really want to streamline my collection now though. I plan on purchasing the dressing table below along with 4 sets of the wide Muji drawers. Whatever I can't fit into these drawers will be thrown out/given away etc..

The main point of this post is to ask "Would you depot your MAC blushers to save space"? It sounds MAD but I really do love seeing the neat little rows of blush, BUT they are taking up a great deal of space.

Also what about the Mineralize ones? Will I forget about them?

If you have depotted your MAC blushers before have you used them more or less?

Basically do you prefer your MAC blushers in a palette or in their pots?

Let me know your thoughts!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in place Gel Eyeliners.

Here we have the new Estee Lauder Gel Eyeliners. There are five in total (3 perm, 2 LE) and I was kindly sent the Limited Edition shades; Stay Bronze and Stay Violet, to have a play with.

I don't have a great deal of experience with gel eyeliner. I'm not very good at applying it, so have tended to shy away from it. I was pretty nervous when i first saw them, but I had a go nonetheless, and I am very impressed. I love the bronze/brown which has a bit of gold shimmer running through it, but I love the violet/purple better as it accentuates my green eyes. Both are incredibly pigmented, soft (but not too soft) and have a satin like finish. They are totally smudge proof and it is claimed that they last up to 15 hours! I apply my makeup at 9am and take it off at around 8pm, so not quite 15 hours but it was still firmly there when I removed my eye makeup. I definitely need more practice - hence no pictures of my shoddy application, doing them no justice. I'm hoping to master the technique and then wearing them with a little bit of the Estee Lauder 'Pink Pearl' shadowcreme on my lids. Perfect, stay in place summer eyes :)

Stay Violet - Stay Bronze

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - Hot Cloth Cleanser

I have been using the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot cloth cleanser for a while now, so I thought it high time to chip in my two cents!

A little bit about the cleanser..

Cleanse & Polish is a concentrated cream which quickly removes everyday grime and makeup - including mascara! The pure muslin cloth gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells. Together they leaves all skin types looking a feeling clear, soft, smooth and simply healthier. Naturally active ingredients include; Chamomile, toning hops, stimulating rosemary and purifying eucalyptus oil.

I was kindly sent a starter kit which includes a 100ml sized cleanse & polish and two muslin cloths. £13.25

My thoughts

I have pretty oily skin and tend to avoid anything rich in texture, so when I first pumped this on to my hand, I won't lie - I was worried that I would wake up covered in spots! (this has happened before!) I used it anyway, and oh my gosh, I loved it almost instantly. It smells GORGEOUS! Really fresh and herbally, the eucalyptus really comes through.

To use, you pump 1 'blob' on to clean hands and massage into your dry face. I'm not sure how long you're supposed to do this for but I personally sit on the edge of the bath for about 5 minutes massaging my face, breathing in that gorgeous smell! I like to start on my cheeks, work round my face, down my neck and then to the eyes, because remember this removes mascara (and it really does remove all mascara!). Do your eyes first and you're going to look like you've just stuck your head in a coal bunker!

You then fill your sink with warm/hot water, take one of the muslin cloths which have been specifically designed to gently exfoliate skin and lift away dead skill cells and impurities, and in circular motions gently remove the cleanser. I like to fold my cloth into four, and gently remove the cleanser turning the muslin cloth over as I go along. Once every last scrap is off ofmy face, my skin feels squeaky clean, incredibly soft and brighter! I have always had dull looking skin, but this product has definitely helped to rectify that issue.

Now I have used the Cleanse and Polish I can totally understand why people rave about it so much. Truly fantastic product! Since receiving the Cleanse and Polish I have gone on to order a trio of them from QVC. I managed to get it on easypay too!! :) I will definitely be trying more from the range soon.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-place Shadow-Cremes.

Along with the lovely palette I showed you a few days ago, I was also sent four gorgeous Double Wear Stay- in- place Shadow -cremes to have a play with.

There are a total of 9 NEW shades (4 are limited edition) that can be worn alone if your in a hurry- just slick it or and go! Or you can use them as a base to compliment an eyeshadow of a similar colour. I use them as bases, with a similar colour on top. It really makes your eyeshadows much more vibrant and helps them to stay put!

The four I was kindly sent are;

Pink pearl

Smokey twilight (LE)

Gold dust (LE)

Smokey Plum.

All four are really gorgeous shades, but for me Pink Pearl and Smokey Twilight are my absolute favourites! I have used pink pearl every single day since I got it. All four are really creamy, blend beautifully and most importantly don't crease on me - which I always worry about. Estee Lauder state that they will not; crease, fade, streak or change colour in heat or humidity. Now I can't test all these things out, but I can say my eyeshadow looks exactly the same when I take it off in the evening as it did when I first applied it. I also applied them on the back of my hand and went the whole day, cleaning, washing up etc and they genuinely did not budge - I think that is a pretty good test of their staying power because we don't clean up with our eyes do we?! I also wet my hand and scrubbed them 6 or so hours after I put them on my hand (pic below) and again they didn't budge.

The nine new continuous shades are; Golden Sands, Pink Pearl, Mochachino, Smokey Plum and Midnight Kohl. And the four new, limited edition shades are; Gold dust, Buttercream, Cafe Au Lait and Smokey Twilight.

I am really interested in checking out Mochachino, Buttercream and Cafe Au Lait!

Nails Inc - nail wraps♥

I'm sure you've all heard of minx? Well I really want my nails 'wrapped' by them but a/ there is nowhere near me that does minx, and b/ it's about £30-40! Pretty expensive in my books.

Well, I spotted some nail wraps in Boots today, made by Nails Inc. As I have had nothing to do this afternoon, I purchased a packet to tide me over until BGT. They were quite cheap too - £7.99!

Here's the result...

You get 24 wraps- enough for a a set or hands and feet with a few spare!

The instructions are printed on the back and are pretty straight forward;

Remove nail polish and push back cuticles with hoof stick.
File nails to desired shape.
Gently buff nails to remove any surface shine
Select nail wrap which is the closest size to your nail. Trim if need be.
Heat the wrap for a few seconds with a hair dryer on a gentle heat. The wrap should start to soften and bend.
Carefully place the wrap on the nail starting at the cuticle edge (colour side facing up), applying firm pressure, push the wrap onto one side of the nail and then to the other until the whole wrap is neatly applied to the nail.
Re-apply heat for a few seconds and push firmly over the entire nail for a secure fit.
Trim the end of the wrap and then file the excess in a downward motion either using a glass file or a wooden file with very fine grain.

I found it quite simple to do, although I didn't use the correct sizes because I was worried about the 'shaping' part, because of this I have tiny bits of bare nail showing on the sides of some nails. I definitely need more practice, I have little bits of creasing here and there. I will get better at it though, and when I do I will post them again :)

Review: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Island Oasis Palette♥

Like I said in this post, I was rather taken with the 'Island Oasis' palette, which is part of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection. Well, I was really really happy when a few days later, I was very kindly sent it to review.

It is inspired by the Mediterranean - warm sand, blue seas, seashell pinks and of course seaweed! It's the perfect palette for any bronzed beauty.

The main shades that stood out to me when I first saw this palette were the Champagne shade, the Bronze, and the Seashell pink with a gorgeous gold sheen running through it. They are all gorgeous though. The only shadow I noticed any fall out from was the champagne shade, but it was nothing I quick dusting wouldn't fix.

I'm a bit boring when it comes to eyeshadow, so I kind of dismissed the turquoise shade, but whilst I was having a little play, I decided to use it along the lower lash line and I really like it! Turquoise is one of the best shades to wear when you are 'bronzed' so I think it's fantastic that it's been put in this palette. The black with gold sparkles (which look green in some lights) is really pretty, and unlike some shadows I have tried before which have been similar, the sparkles actually show up!

(Sorry this is so shoddily done. I had two hours sleep thanks to my poorly niece so I was a bit blurry eyed, and not with it.)

I used the 'champagne' shade on my lids, 'bronze' in the crease and on the outer part of my lower lash line and 'turquoise' lightly smudged over top.

Overall, I really rate this palette. It is fab quality and perfect for summer!!

perfect summer lip♥

When I visited Meadowhall on Sunday I went for three things; Chanel-Mimosa, Chanel - 4 Facettes bronzer in rose and the Estee Lauder, sea star bronzer/blush. I managed to get these, but whilst my mum was talking to the Chanel lady, who was lovely might I add, I couldn't stop looking at her lips. Now I understand that sound's a bit creepy, but don't worry I'm not weirdo, she was just wearing the most gorgeous lipstick/lipgloss combo I have ever seen. I didn't dare ask what she had on so when she turned around, I pointed at my mum and growled 'lips!!!'. Thankfully my mum thought her lipstick/lipgloss choice was gorgeous too, so she asked. She wrote it down for me as I said I would get them next week, but I couldn't wait, so after a half hour wander around meadowhall I went back and purchased.. Chanel rouge coco '56 Teheran' and a Chanel glossimer in 'Venus 124'. They are both absolutely beautiful, especially layered.

'Teheran' is a bright coral with a little pink thrown in. It's not a million miles away from 'Costa chic' by MAC, which I have and love. I could have probably skipped this but I wanted 'Leannes' exact lip colour, so I just bought it.

'Venus' is my favourite of the two. It is a bright fuchsia with millions of different coloured sparkles, which make your lips look full, plump and juicy!. At this point I am wishing I had the 'skilllllz' to take good lip swatches, but alas I don't and if I did post the lip swatches I attempted, they wouldn't do these beautiful products any justice. Instead I have tried to recreate it on my hand.

Close up of the beautiful sparkles! The glossimer's feel amazing on the lips. Smooth, non sticky and have fantastic staying power, not that you would expect anything less from a £20 lipgloss!

As you can see when paired together they look gorgeous! What do you think? I think these two are going to be my go to summer lip along with these one's which I blogged about a few days ago!

MAC Bubblegum - I acquired this from Laura's blog after months, and I mean months of stalking blog sales and eBay for it. It is a medium pink, with a hint of purple and a fine golden shimmer. It is a Glaze finish which means it's not crazily pigmented, but it's not terribly sheer either. It is such a lovely, easy to wear shade, and it has been getting alot of love from me. If MAC ever re-release this little beauty, I will be sure to pick up a couple.

Loreal Color Riche 'Freshly rosy' - First things first, I hate the smell of these lipsticks. I can't even think of a word to describe it, other than sickly. No likey. The actual lipstick is gorgeous though. Freshly rosy is a light glossy pink with a teeny bit of frostiness to it, though this isn't really noticeable once applied. Great everyday shade.

17 Mirror shine 'peace' While this lipstick looks scary in the tube, in reality it isn't. It is quite a sheer, pinky/coral when you apply it, but it also buildable. I find that when I wear this my face as a whole looks alot more awake and refreshed!

CHANEL 'chance' I'm not going to say much about this one, as I feel it deserves its own post (coming up!). I will repurchase it time and time again, and possibly purchase more of the Rouge coco shines! Ab fab.

I have been wanting this nail polish for ages, after seeing it on Lisa Eldridge some time ago. 'Mimosa' is part of the Chanel Summer collection which is absolutely gorgeous! After what seemed an eternity, it was finally released a few day's ago. I was at 'MeadowhEll' dead on 11am this morning to purchase some pretties, it was all so gorgeous I could have gone for the whole lot!

(I purchased items from Chanel, Estee Lauder and Dior so if you would like a post on that just let me know.)

(Sorry about the shoddy application and anyone notice how short my nails are compared to my last nail post? Yes, I picked my nails off without even noticing!! Has anyone else ever done that?)

At £16 Chanel nail polishes aren't cheap, but I was determined to have this colour as it is so up my alley I would have regretted it if I had left it behind. Mimosa is a bright summery yellow, with really fine gold shimmers running through it, although you have to look very closely to see these once you've applied the polish.

From my first experience using a Chanel nail polish I can safely say I am quite impressed. I don't think they are AMAAAZING quality. It applied quite streaky on the first coat but the second one glided on a lot nicer. There is still a little bit of streakiness going on but I think if I wasn't rushing like I was, two coats would have been perfect. Consistency wise it is just how I like it, not too thick or thin! Overall good, but nothing amazing! That being said, I would purchase another one if it was unique enough.

I popped into Boots yesterday to prove to myself that I could leave empty handed....well apparently, I can't! I don't really mind though as I spotted some gorgeous new products from Maybelline that were just too pretty to pass up.

Peach and Berry

These are the new 'dream touch blushes'. I think these are brand new altogether, not just new colours. Maybelline have had 'mousse' blushes before which I really didn't like. These ones though, are gorgeous, especially 'peach'. They are buttery soft, none greasy, very pigmented and a bargainous £6.49 each. Full review to come.

I think there were 4, or even 5 new Color Sensational lipsticks. I wanted three, but showed some restraint and opted for 'Rosy dream', a soft, milky pink. These type of colour's don't tend to suit me, so we'll see how it looks when I have a play tomorrow. They had a nude one which was gorgeous! Think I might have to get that one tomorrow... £7.19

and finally I purchased two nail polishes. Deep violet and Hot salsa.

I'm not overly fond of 'Deep violet', I let my mum choose that one because I am very kind, he he. If you like it though, let me know and I'll do a NOTD. Hot salsa however, is a gorgeous bright coral red, with a hint of pink. I cannot wait to try this one out... maybe tonight! £4.09 each..

I have been loving really pale colours on my nails lately, namely - Bourjois 'Rose Lounge'.. you know, the one that Kate wore on her big day?

Well anyway, on Friday I was browsing the aisles of Asda and spotted the much coveted Maybelline express finish 'diamonds' nail polish. Of course I had to have it.

When I got home I put it on my nail rack and went on with my evening. It was past midnight, mid sleep when I suddenly remembered I'd bought it.. so what did I do? Put the TV on and painted my nails... pretty badly! (sorry)

I layered 2 coats of 'Diamonds' on top of Barry M 'indigo' and the results pretty much speak for themselves. Although I will say, my nails definitely look alot more sparkly in 'real' life. My mum said they look like, 'the night sky, with all the stars and STUFF?!'.

Overall for £4.09 this is a fantastic little nail polish, which I am highly impressed with. It is fully deserving of all the hype it seems to be receiving at the moment.

For the first time in a long time I have made a 'wishlist' that doesn't include just makeup. I am really trying to break away from buying from every collection I see, and sometimes most of a MAC collection. I really want to start saving my money and buying nice things. Having lots of makeup is nice, but when you think how much that costs... I wouldn't be writing this wishlist because I would have it all already! Shameful. I'm not saying I'm never going to buy makeup again, because I would be lying.. for instance I know I'm going to go mad (well abit mad) for the MAC collection in July (Semi-precious I think?) but for now, I'm going to try and cool off and stop buying so much makeup.

mac- lilicent blushcreme♥

A few weeks ago I had a sudden urge to purchase a couple of new MAC blushers. I literally begged my mum to come along with me at 6pm at night to Meadowhall to get them, and in the end she agreed. I bought blushbaby, peachtwist and I was suppose to get peaches, but just as I was telling my mum what to ask the scary MAC ladies for, I thought of Lilicent, the blushcreme that has just been discontinued. I had wanted this for some time, but had never got round to getting it. I just thought maybe they'll have a few left over, and to my utter shock they had ONE. I was so excited!

I would describe Lilicent as a nudish/peachy colour. Very natural, fresh and pretty. It is the perfect subtle blush to accompany a dark smokey eye, but on the other hand it also looks fab teamed with a few simple coats of mascara and a nude lips. It gives a polished, dewy look.

I have been a fan of Ladyblush for a while now, but this is more my type of colour. It is quite a thick consistency to begin with, but once you start blending, it quickly becomes silky soft and blends in beautifully. It is very pigmented though so a light hand is definitely advised. I personally like to apply this blush with either the Elf stippling brush or my fingers.

(I took these pictures outside and I was freezing, hence why I smudged it about abit and ran inside hehe.)

It's probably abit mean of me to blog about something that is now discontinued, but you never know if you ask instore they may have a few lurking...

I purchased this foundation a few weeks ago after seeing some rave reviews about it. I had £15 worth of beauty card points at debenhams so paying an extra £17 wasn't too bad, but £32 for a foundation. Jeezz! It better be good for that amount of money!

What Chanel say..

Packaging - I have never had a Chanel foundation before, but I think they are all normally in glass bottles. Well.. I actually really, really like the packaging of this one. It looks like you get about 10mls of product the bottle is so small, but you actually get the same amount as the other ones, 30mls. I would much prefer all my foundations to be packaged like this, so dinky (small) and perfect for travel. It doesn't have a pump either (see picture), it's more like a little hole/nozzle/squirty 'thing', again really like this. It doesn't just pour out as the tube is squeezy meaning you are in complete control of how much product you want to use.

Application - As this is a water based foundation it needs a very good shaking before use or it will come out looking abit watery and 'split' looking. It is really so easy to apply. Shake, squirt, dab around the face and blend in with fingers, I found this the best way. I would say it is a light coverage foundation, definitely not enough to cover the couple of acne scars around my chin, but I would rather have to use a little concealer on areas of concern rather than piling foundation all over my face. It evens out my skintone making my skin look like my own, but better kind of thing. It's not too luminous either which I was worried about. It's inbetween luminous and matte which I quite like.

It has spf15 in it too, which is always good as you are protecting your skin from the sun whilst also getting some decent coverage. It also smells gorgeous, really fresh, holiday kind of smell. love it!

Durability- I found that it lasted about 5-6 hours before I needed to touch up. I became a little shiny around my nose area, but I always do so I can't really say that this foundation made me shiny.

Packaging - 10/10

Re-purchase - if I didn't find something better I would!
