I Need A Life?

I cannot recall the number of posts I've made regarding my k-pop addiction particularly SHINee. So now, I'm dropping the subject (well, at least just this once).

I feel like I need to get a life. I know - that at some point - I'm crazy but I never feel as crazed like this before. So what do you think? Should I get a life? But the big question is how? With my ~~messy~~ schedule, it's really hard. In fact, meeting with friends is hard since we do not have the same schedules!

SHINee Is Coming To The Philippines; Janelle Is Coming To See Them ♥

It is already confirmed that SHINee - the group that I'm always blogging about - is coming to the Philippines! And min you, it's not for vacation. They are here to hold a concert. And the best thing is, the concert is FREE and it will be held in CCP at 3PM. The Korean Embassy is bringing them along with Mighty Mouth in celebration of the 60 years of friendship of the two countries.

When I read this last night, I hurriedly texted some friends to come with me to the concert. Luckily, they agreed even though they do not know the group I'm fuzzing about. Haha! I just hope that I don't have classes on that day. Because if I have, all plans will turn to zilch. I really hope that I don't have classes on this day.

Onew-hyung, are you watching?

SHINee performed with Super Junior's leader Leeteuk since Onew is sick with Swine Flu. The changes were made last minute since it is expected that SHINee will finally perform with all members present since Jonghyun has finally recovered. Unfortunately, Onew caught the flu.

In my opinion, Jonghyun still needs rest. In their performance, his voice is not as clear as before. But still, they SHINee still had a fantastic performance.

Setting aside SHINee, I'm addicted to Super Junior M's Blue Tomorrow. This is the third subgroup of Korean idol boy band Super Junior. It's just that SuJu M sings in Mandarin rather than Korean. 5 of its members are from the original SuJu together with 2 Chinese members Zhou Mi and Henry.

I just noticed that most of the groups that I like are from SM Town.

It's sad that Jonghyun is not there to join them on their performance at Music Bank since he's recovering from Swine Flu. Because of this, SuJu's Yesung became the stand-in for Jonghyun. He sang some of the lines Jonghyun used to sing. The remaining lines were covered by the other members.

SHINee still managed to pull a great performance. But, of course, their performance will be perfect with Jonghyun.

Sorry if I keep on blabbing about them. I just can't get enough of this! In fact, I watch their performances every night xD Pretty retarded. . . but I can't help it! I'm such a fan ♥

Just how much is too much?

I think I am spoiling myself a little too much this sembreak. I spent quite a lot compared during the other times. And mind you, I haven't partied at all! I guess parties are no longer my thing.

Anyway, here are the things that I did this sembreak:

1. Spa services at Wensha.
Can't help it. The semester is really stressful. And I feel like I've been to heaven during this hours! So forgive this ok?

2. Bought 2 books.
These books are my treat to myself. Also, I've been wanting those books for years already! The books that I bought are: Like the Flowing River by Paulo Coelho and Love In The Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. They don't cost much and like what I stated earlier, they are on my wishlist for so long! So . . . forgive this again.

3. Dyed my hair to brown.
I've dyed my hair to black brown around March or April. Obviously, my hair has grown and the dye has faded. This time, I want dark brown or should I want the brown color to be more noticeable. So I did dye my hair. This is also one of my treats to myself for surviving the semester.

4. Some products for the face.
The only thing that I can say is . . . NECESSITY!

I've decided to cut the post. I won't be mentioning the other things I bought/spent on. But hey . . . is it too much? Allow me to reiterate, how much is too much?

Anyway, tomorrow is Wednesday ♥ This means new episode for You're Beautiful. I'll be watching the live streams again. And obviously - it's Korean - so I won't be able to understand a thing, again. xD harhar~

I Know It's Retarded BUT I Just Love 'Em ♥

Thanks to live streams, I'm able to watch SBS Inkigayo. Before, I wait for the uploaders to upload the videos of the performers on YouTube. But now, I have watched the full show not just the performances. And 2PM's Wooyoung and Taecyeon are really funny! The two guys from BEAST (KikWan and YoSeob) are also funny! xD

Other than that, I've watched SHINee's awesome performance of Ring Ding Dong! I thought that they're going to cut *again* the first part. And I'm so glad that they didn't! They performed the song at full length. And their outfits are really cool. I love Key's outfit as always ♥

I just love this song. And IMO, this performance is their best performance so far. Congratulations on winning the mutizen SHINee~

PS: I've watched this video so many times today (including the livestream of course) yet I still continue to watch it xD

Will Prolly Transfer to Wordpress

I'm already 90% convinced that I need to transfer my blog to Wordpress. And it's thanks to the pro blogger who told me that platform-wise, Wordpress is better than Blogger.

I have used both platforms simultaneously, even up to now. And basing from experience, both has their own pros and cons. But honestly, this is not where the remaining 10% lies. I am more conscious of the hits (unique visitors) that I'll be losing on the day of the transfer. Server propagation takes about 24 to 72 hours. And the reason why I am concerned with it? Well, the site is new and I'm targeting a higher Alexa ranking. Hopefully, this one day won't affect much.

And by the way, this site is not the one I'm pertaining to. I'm talking about my entertainment site. Yep, my site about Asian Gossips and Celebrities. Check it out if you have time.

PS: I'm very thankful to the person who's somehow guiding me. Hopefully, I'll be able to know more of SEO before this year ends.

The idea of buying a new domain name - janelleski.net to be exact - just pops out of my head. Also, I've been thinking of using the same name in all of my online activities. Do you think it's a great idea?

Anyway, I've gotten hold of my first multiply account. And guess what, the username is janelleski! But the weird thing is, there are no updates in this multiply. I guess this is the first multiply that I have created. It's a pity that only now have I realized that this actually belongs to me. Why you ask? Well, I'm using another multiply and that account has tons of updates already =/ And I do mind in starting from scratch.

And I have a new layout! It's pretty cool huh? I didn't make this that's why it's pretty xD

PS: I missed blogging stuffs about me. Random stuffs that is.

PPS: I'm totally addicted to k-pop right now. As in addicted! The latest addiction is SHINee. It only took me 1 day to love them xD

It's Finally Over

Classes were suspended for 1 week due to the Ondoy tragedy. Thanks to that, my last week in the university was very pressuring. I was very stressed that time. And finally, it's sembreak! I haven't made plans on what to do, but I want this sembreak to be fruitful - more fruitful than before. But before that, I'll be taking my time in recovering the hours of sleep and rest lost. So to speak, I am currently a bum. And being a bum is really great! My addiction to k-pop is taken to the next level. Now, I know quite a number of groups and I am enjoying their music! One of those are T-ara and Supernova! I am so digging their song TTL (Listen.2).

A Nice Home Is What I Dream Of

I have tons of goals that I want to achieve. And one of those goals is to have my own house. I consider this matter as a goal and not as a dream. Because goals are achievable if you just work hard. Unlike goals, dreams seem to be something distant - something that can't be achieved. That's why, having my own house is a goal that I will definitely achieve in the future. Though I know that the deadline is still in the near future, I am already fantasizing on the kind of house that I want. This is the very reason why I keep on looking on luxury home plans. Firstly, I want my house to look luxurious. And I know that I can have a luxury home if I work harder. Also, I know that in the near future this will no longer be a mere home plans but a structure. Yes, I am very determined to have this. But for now, I'll just settle on luxury house plans.

The Worst Ever

I thought that typhoon Milenyo was the worst typhoon that came to Metro Manila. The calamity happened in 2006 and there's no electricity in my community for almost 3 weeks. After 3 years, another great calamity has shaken Metro Manila and it goes by the name of tyhpoon Ondoy. Ondoy showered Metro Manila a month worth of rain in just hours! Because of those, high areas were submerged in floods. And sadly, a lot of people died.

Fortunately, I didn't experience not even an inch of flood even though I live near the river. And the power interruption is only for 24 hours. Indeed I am lucky. But I find it bothering to be happy since there are a lot of casualties caused by this typhoon. So in return, I want to help. I want to extend a hand to victims of typhoon Ondoy. Some friends and classmates have already done their part, and now, I believe, it's my turn to give back.

An Official Donor

Yet again, it's been so long.

I have just donated my blood. This is the first time that I have done such a thing. It's a little frightening at first since the needle used in collecting the blood is a gauge 19 needle (which is big - it's bigger than the needle used in IV insertion). But surprisingly, I didn't feel a thing! Moreover, it only took a few minutes. But in those few minutes, I'm able to save a life.

I've never been hospitalized but I know how hard it is to look for blood donors. Our family had experienced this when my grandmother had an operation. And trust me, it's hard to find one. Anyway, I hope that through my little blood donation, I'll be able to extend one's life. I plan to continue this deed until graduation, or if possible every year as long as I can donate.

So, why donate blood?

Simple. By donating blood, the body will produce new red blood cells in order to replace what was lost. Also, you'll get a donor card. This card is accepted nationwide. This means that in case of emergency, donors with donor cards can immediately donate their blood without undergoing the long pile of examinations. And the best part is, donors are prioritized if they're the one needing blood donations.

I'm so tired. It's been so long since I had a break. And my next break is this coming Sunday. Last week is hellish and I'm hoping that the load this week is not that much. Pero mukhang hanggang pangarap na lang yan... pagod na talaga ako.

I don't have classes this Friday up to Monday next week because of the new rotation for the final grading period. And I am very glad about this since I can relax and chill as much as I want. Speaking of chilling, I'm going to Tagaytay City this coming Monday with some friends. I am so excited since it's been years since I last went there. And I am so hoping to see some new attractions!

In this trip, I'm hoping to relieve all stresses from my studies. It sucks that we cannot stay overnight because we have classes the following day. Anyway, at least I have gone to a good place with good air and ambiance together with some good friends.

On the other hand, I'm getting tired of this layout. I'll try making a new one probably tonight? The moment that I'm done, I'll have this for download. Yes, another simple yet not-so-easily customizable layout this time. I admit that I did have a hard time coding this so I dunno if someone would spent time tweaking it. But I like that idea.

It was in 2006 that I have started blogging. That time, owning a subdomain was a big talk of the town. And only a few bloggers own a domain. But as the years go by, subdomains became passe because most bloggers have their own domain. It was during this time that free webhosting was offered. It's still offered nowadays but bloggers now are richer. Yes, many bloggers right now either own a reseller plan, a master reseller plan and there are some who even have their own webhosting server. And this is the very reason why the price of webhosting come in really cheap price now! This is great news to bloggers because they can buy their webhosting plans for a cheaper price! Moreover, there are tons of good offers since there is a tight competition on webhosting. And this is a little bit of bad news to those in the webhosting business. Also, this is the very reason why I didn't pursue this kind of business. But I am still considering since I want to establish myself. Well, I'm already 19 and I want to experience earning cash out of my own sweat, blood and tears.

Yet Another Long Week End

I was supposed to take a leave from school last week, but classes were suspended. So, I've moved the date of my leave today. Yep, I didn't go to school today. And the reason behind that . . . I just don't feel like coming to school today. But I won't be pushing my luck, next Saturday I'll definitely attend my eLearning class.

Just like last week, I watched Naruto Shippuuden again. And now, I've finally managed to finish up to the latest episode released. I am so happy ♥ I so know that I sound like a bum here. Do forgive me on that because I really am drained with my clinical classes and am so wanting to have a break. And this is the kind of break that I really want. Would you believe that I even turn down 2 gimik just to have this kind of break? Me is no longer a party girl. I'm a home buddy once again :)

I am so proud of myself for having created this layout. Folks, this is my div layout prototype. And I spent around 3 hours in making this. That is also the very reason why this layout doesn't have a banner. I did have a hard time in coding this layout. But, I feel really happy and contented.

And during the grueling 3 hours, I have been listening to 4minute's Mini Album. Yet another girl group from Korea.

If you're into trance, pop and hiphop genres; and, it's ok with you to listen to songs that you don't understand, then why not give this group a try? They're good. And I'm really lovin' their songs. They're kinda Britney-ish (if you listen to Circus, ya'll know what I'm talking about) but hipper.

3 days

Unlike last week, I only had classes for 4 days this week. I know 4 days is still one heck of a pain in the bum but it's better than having a 6-day straight class. And because of this, I have a long weekend. It's been ages since I last have these luxury.

Indeed my weekend is long but not enough to reach the latest Naruto Shippuuden episode. Yes, this whole 3 days... I only watched Naruto Shippuuden. I think I watched around 40 episodes or so.

Also, I think I can finish it up to the latest since I am only behind 10 episodes. But I am sorta tired watching it since it's Sasuke's part of the story. I used to like the guy, but now, nah-uh! And I am really bored whenever an arc is about and/or related to him. I don't know, it seems that the tides have turned against him. And I really hate him. Harhar~

Now with the layout, this will do at the mean time. I'll create a better one once I have free time. And I am considering a Naruto Layout as the next skin of this blog. We'll see about that... soon!

Have you ever feel like passing out?

That's what I'm feeling right now. I feel like all the energy in my body has been drained. And I feel like I'm already at my limit. Though I lack the energy, ideas of different things still flock my mind. Take making a blog post for example. I can no longer squeeze my mind for thoughts to share yet I still feel like making blog entries.

Have you ever felt that way? Wherein you know that you're already at your limit yet you still want to continue doing something you consider "fun"?

Hey people, I'm still alive! I know that it's been so long since I updated and it's all thanks to my ever busy schedule

When I saw that, I was like... what did I do? And what made me feel more irritated is that I can't even log-in to my account at freewebs. It's so unfair. I didn't do anything.

Ok. Breathe. Relax.

I'll just change the download link and preview. And I'm planning to use blogskins' download and preview links while I am looking for a new host. And you do not know how thankful I am that I submitted my layouts to them because I don't save layout backups in my hard drive.

Anyway, does anybody know a free hosting website that allows html and other file uploads? I prefer a free sites because they have a file uploader in the member login.

I was feeling really down yesterday because of some things. I no longer want to talk about those things that happened - they're done and I'm over them. And today is the opposite of yesterday. Again, small things happened but these small things are positive, very positive. Allow me enumerate.

1. Earlier today, I've heard that there will be another non-working holiday this Wednesday and this is because of the funeral of the late President Aquino. May she rest in peace. Yes, I am happy because there won't be classes but I am neutral with the death of the former president. With all respect, I think she is already ready for this new stage since she has done a lot of things already - things not only for her family and loved ones but also for the Filipino people.

2. My aunt told me that she'll buy my Olay Total Effects. I have a mini-bottle as a freebie in my last purchase. I have no use of it since I am using the blemish/prone free type of Total Effects. The freebie is for Normal Skin types.

3. Aunt-dearest told me that we'll shop this coming Wednesday. Though empty-handed, I'm ecstatic! It's been years ago since I last hit the mall.

i just can't help it

One of the things that I'm not good at is saving money. Since I do not have a job, my only source of income is my daily allowance coming from my parents. And just recently, I've taken a great interest in beauty products to the point that I keep on buying them. They aren't pricey but buying a lot is another issue. And because of the constant buys, there's a big dent on my little savings. Also, I've been having a hard time budgeting my daily allowance especially during clinical classes. I always spend way higher than the usual during these days. And I'm hating myself for this urge in spending.

I have always wondered how do people save money. I'm serious with this since - as mentioned above - I'm not good at it. I tend to save so that I can use for shopping later. I want to change this attitude of mine. I want my savings to grow.

This is a promise, I'll stop buying things that aren't necessary. And during school days, I'll just carry the amount that I'll be needing to buy food. No unnecessary spending should be made. This is my resolution. I just hope that I can live up with it.

I really thought that I don't have classes today but I actually have! And the bad news is, I DON'T KNOW! It's all thanks to the faulty connections of Globe.

According to my classmates, they passed on the news that we'll be having a make-up class and unit exam in LDP (Labor, Delivery and Puerperium) at around 8 in the evening. Well, my batts were run out by that time. But isn't it that the messages received during the time the batts were out will be received the moment you turned on the cellphone? Guess what happened? I didn't receive mine! Good thing a friend asked me where I was when the lecture was about to start. That's only the time that I know that we do have classes plus an exam today! Upon knowing that, I rush to change into my uniform and hurriedly went to school. I took a cab instead of riding the jeep! And it cost me a lot but thanks to that, I made it just in time for the exam. I was shaking so much that time. Good grief I made it!

This is the first time that my cellphone network has disappointed me. I've been a subscriber for more than 3 years now but this is definitely the first time that I've felt that they've done me wrong. The messages that weren't received mean a lifetime to me!

I prefer coding blogger layouts than wordpress themes. Because blogger layouts are supported by basic HTML unlike wordpress who uses the complex php. HTML is much, much easier to learn than PHP. I have a wordpress blog for years now, but up until now I am very sure that I cannot make a php of my own. At least with blogger layouts, I can proudly say that the codes - both HTMl and CSS - are mine. And speaking of which, I just made a new blogger layout ♥ It's just a simple layout. But believe it or not, I pluck out all my hair because I had a hard time figuring out the alignment. The HTML alignment is very different with the blogger alignment. This is the first time I've encountered something like this. So instead of having a code that works well with both simple HTML and blogger, I've decided to come up with 2 since it's the easiest way around. And alas, I've done it.

Anyway, here's the new layout that I've made. And I also put up a download page for all the blogger layouts that I've recently created.
