Valentines Day is for communicating fond or affectionate feelings. Typical valentine sayings can express “like” or “love” to an extend you want your “like” or “love” to know how much you..well “like” or “love” them. It is with this in mind I write this post.

You see, your smile makes the most wicked at heart feel warm to a point it would block out all thoughts of evil thus converting bad into good, evil into something pure. You have this personality which makes one want to stay in your presence, kind of like the AOE effect I talked about earlier. Your amazing laugh is like an infection which causes other people to laugh no matter what you are talking about -you could call it viral cus it spreads wherever you go.

You are always a total joy to be around -such pleasant company even. I very much appreciate our compatibility to a point your always welcome in my life.

Simply put, I am fortunate to know you and that is why I want to say, to a rare and special person, Happy Valentine’s Day.

Realising It

The power of her essence is like that of a typical AOE effect, AOE meaning “Area of Effect”. I say this because I can not control the feelings felt nor the power of the thoughts experienced. I also say AOE because I am sure many other people (perhaps even females) seem to be captived as much as I. To be at the whim of a dictator-a female even-to which I seem to have pledged my allegiance too is something strange.

The bare truth is ‘the xaasid’, finds himself in previously untread lands which is not under his kingdom. Lands that have a Queen as the reigner. A monarchy structured around such greatness and beauty that one is automatically allured…enticed even. You see, the quality present in her gives such intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind. It tends to be arising from her sensory manifestation such as her lovely skin colour to her majestic smile which can bring tenderness to the most wicked at heart. She has a meaningful design- Take for instance her personality in which high spiritual qualities (whether it be religious or just normal advice) are present to her just everyday way of saying “hi, how are you?” with a wide smile and a laugh.

I remember the beginnings, always tremblin feeling nervous almost preferring to be unconscious. Perhaps it was then I realised…..

I believe in Angels as those perfect beings roaming the heavens but I find myself with one everyday, difference being I call it my friend. For this Angel I have prepared the short scripture below which some people I believe would call a “poem”.

Definition of Insanity.

This is as the man himself said it and I do not mean Benjamin Franklin but Albert Einstein. However science defines insanity as something completely different:

“A deranged state of the mind usually occurring as a specific disorder.”

In English, the word “sane” derives from the Latin adjective “sanus” meaning “healthy”. The phrase “mens sana in corpore sano” is often translated to mean a “healthy mind in a healthy body”. From this perspective, insanity can be considered as poor health of the mind, not necessarily of the brain as an organ (although that can affect mental health), but rather defective function of mental processes such as reasoning.

Insanity

Insanity is a consequence of human nature. Throughout our lives, in our daily doings we face actions from fellow human beings or mother nature herself which can drive you on the verge of insanity. Facing mental intrusion can cause one to act or behave differently than what is considered the “norm”. But out of all types of “infringement/intrusion”, mental intrusion/intrusion is the worst.

I say mental infringement is the worst simply because of one thing- we allow it. Being a subject of something brutal or something strange which by the way your “human” mind can not decipher or understand can lead you into a mental lapse. You allow such situations to develop simply because you do not commit the required action to remove/change such a situation.

For example:

Jerry got beaten up at work. He suffered a black eye and a bruised lip. 4 days later he was healthy and back at work.

Michael suffered mental infringement. Sarah toyed with his mind. She created doubts and distrust in him regarding his own wife named Maria. Michael reacted to the mental infringment, who as a child had lost his girlfriend to David. Michael now enraged with anger went home and kicked the living shit out of his wife. This led to a divorce essentially tearing their childrens lives. Micheals son became a drug addict and his daughter a prostitue.

Can you see how a situation can occur to change ones mental state? I keep using the word infringement because I believe this is what describes it best. Such mental intrusion (i.e infringement) can lead to ones life being radically changed. We need to be able to recognise the power of emotion, the power of our individual human mind.

Our mental health is constantly in use so therefore being able to assess the moment others are trying to “hack” into your mind and make it overload is essential. The single moment you choose to reply to such a hack with a negative response you have fundamentally lost.

Awareness

Being a student of medicine I firmly believe in prevention being better than a cure so going by this principle I would say being aware of such attacks is important because Satan is the biggest mental intruder.

Insanity only really occurs when the person being infringed upon (mentally) actually reacts to the intrusion meaning they elicit an emotional response. This could be in the form of screaming, crying or physically abusing someone or yourself.

“Mental infringement which doesn’t elicit an emotional response is an attempted mental infringement.”

Back and fresh from my recent trip to Qatar, Doha I welcome you all to XAASID 2.0 - A new theme, more posts and hopefully some new faces blogging with me for you all to read.

How have you all been? I hope you have all enjoyed your recent break from work/studies if you was celebrating EID and if you are now celebrating christmas or the new year then happy holidays to you too. Unfortunately I wont be off this new year, infact I will be stuck sitting my end of semester final exams for various subjects so wish me luck while your feasting like you do once a year!

What I miss the most every year come winter (November-April) is the snow that used to whiten our streets and trees back home in Oslo, Norway. Theres has to be no place like it where everything will change from their original colour to a single shade of white.

Old or young, skinny or fat, black or white- you can not but be amazed, in awe of this gift from the skies. For example, being able to go up north and witness the “northern lights” at night and to be able to share this prodigious, spectacular occurance with someone special, perhaps family or that special someone.

Seeing the northern lights is a jaw-dropping and mystical moment. Perhaps not so surprisingly, the northern lights’ spectacle has created as many legends as there have been people watching. Northern light symbols are found on the Sami shamanistic drum. The phenomenon has several different names in Sami. It is, for instance, known as Guovssahas, which means the “light which can be heard”. The northern lights were traditionally associated with sound by the Sami.

Furthermore, during the Viking Age, the northern lights were the armour of the Valkyrie warrior virgins, shedding a strange flickering light. And according to Japanese legend it means good luck to conceive a child under the northern lights..perhaps I should have my first born under such circumstance..perhaps..
