Our President still has the weight of a torn economy on his shoulders, God Bless Him

2011-02-19T23:50:00.000-08:00

The House of Representatives on Saturday approved legislation to cut federal spending serverly through
September. This plan certainly will be stopped by President Barack Obama and the Democrats in the Senate. Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said the Republican-backed bill would damage the economy.
"They have made matters worse passing a spending bill that destroys jobs, weakens the middle class,
hurts schools and young adults, eliminates assistance to homeless veterans, and diminishes critical investments in our future," Pelosi said. Obama has outlined his own plan for less severe spending cuts in 2012, and has warned that tightening the belt too much too soon could harm the slow economic recovery.

I Got It From My Daddy

2010-12-29T08:32:00.000-08:00

R.I.P. to my Father Well Known Artist William "Snooky" Alexander who passed away April 2010. I was saddened by my fathers passing he was a wonderful man a very Talented well known Professional Artist, his paintings have been in exhibits and sold upward to 10k-15k a piece. Snooky Alexander was the Editor n Chief of the very first Black Fashion Magazine in the 60's. He designed most of the comic book covers for the now collectors comic books Thor, Vampire and Horror. Snooky Alexander did alot of Art work for Herman Monster from the legendary show "Monsters". William "Snooky" Alexander was also the one who brought us the "Zoot Suits"..

He designed the album cover for Ray Charles 1966 Grammy Winning Album "Crying Time" after being asked by Ray Charles Manager Joe Adams. Snooky Alexander designed a pair of Glasses for the album cover which they liked so much they had a pair made from the design in which Ray Charles wore from 1966 until his death, known worldwide as Loc's! It was interesting watching the movie "Ray" many of the characters portrayed were friends of my parents.

Snooky Alexander was also head illustrator for a very popular newsstand magazine in NYC for 16 yrs. He was a visionary and innovator his Art work impeccable as well as a professional photographer well respected in the world of Art and photography. The celebration of his life was held at the Bonaventure Hotel in L.A. with 100s of people gathered to give honor and see a display of some of his Fabulous Art Work.

He had some very close friends also well known Artists and Photographers such as Cliff Hall, Howard Morehead who passed in 03 and Lamonte McLemore original member of The Fifth Dimensions who is a Professional photographer for Playboy, Ebony, Jet, People, and Harper's Bazaar magazines http://www.lamontephotography.com/ . I thank God for my Artistic ability from my father. He was truely gifted, loved now missed by many. Love you pops, R.I.P. William "Snooky" Alexander

Xander Design Hits 1st Page of Bing and Yahoo- Best Las Vegas Web Designer

2010-12-15T23:02:00.000-08:00

We are ranked on Page 1 for the keyword phrase "Best Las Vegas Web Designer" and "Best Las Vegas Web Design" with over 160 Million Results on both Bing and on Yahoo. Im really happy about getting on page one for Best Las Vegas Web Designer, not too bad at SEO either. I have 3 years experience as a closer for a SEO Company and brought in over 750k revenue for the company so I guess I know what im doing a little bit.

Getting on the first page of Google is a bit more difficult because there are more users and you have companies with a staff of people working around the clock that are devoted to just SEO. Im a Web Designer first that takes presidence but I do have quite a bit of SEO expereince. For those of you who are reading this wondering what is SEO it stands for Search Engine Optimization. Being on the first few pages of the Search Engines is major to a business because it brings direct traffic, people who are actually looking for you. Which is why folks pay Thousands of dollars to have technically inclined people get them there, or at least try to. Its not an easy task, the higher the number of results, the more difficult it is.

It took alot of work and dedication to get this ranking and its going to take just as much to keep it. Im all for it theres no quit in me, the stronger we are the more exposer for our clients as well.

The First Urban Music Site with Multi-Media Capabilities Designed in 1999

2010-08-05T12:42:00.000-07:00

Our head Web Designer Troy Alexander designed http://www.rapscene.com/ which is one of the most popular Hip Hop Sites online launhed in 1999 the same year Google was found. It was selected by the Nationally distributed Book The Indie Bible in 2001 as one of the Top 100 Best Websites for Music. At that time Record Companies did not have websites and they all went to Rapscene.com to promote their Recording Artists. As years went on then came myspace and youtube. Recording Artists and Record Companies started building their own websites and using these Platforms as well. Along came facebook and twitter for ultimate social netowrking. Xander Design re-designed http://www.rapscene.com/ in Jan 2010. Rapscene still remains one of the most popular Hip Hop and RnB websites. Rap Music is the biggest selling genre of music and Rapscene has a piece of the real estate online. However this website does not just promote hip hop but all genres of music and keeps their website fresh and classy. No disrespect to other Hip Hop sites that have become more popular than Rapscene.com but to be quite honest, some of them look a absolute mess! Kudos to our Head Designer Troy Alexander who was the first Web Designer to design a Urban Music site using Multi-Media Capabilites in 1999..an Honor. Now with hundreds of websites that have followed his footsteps, he remains a trendsetter in the area of Web Design. Las Vegas Web Design http://www.xanderdesign.com/
