All the leaves are falling..

Hi,

Second Life has been so busy, but you will only hear me say "lucky me"!

Every single tree in my yard has manage to drop 90 percent of the leaves and still the next day 90 percent more show up on the ground...doggone you Mother nature! But I do love this time of year. Fires,(in the fire places) sweaters, winds, 1/99th percent chance of snow...Turky and Christmass trees, pumpkin pie, bread and muffins..yum

I now have 3 dogs; Penny, the precious Golden Retriever, Katie (the grandmother) is a Llywellyn Setter and the new addition is the baby 9 week old Maggie. She is a German Shepard.

They each have their own ways about them. Katie hates aggravation in any form. Penny hates anyone else getting attention (including the computer) and Maggie is in the shark phase. She eats anything left on the counter , stove, floor, sink and dishwasher. Whole sticks of butter with paper..i tried to grab it from her throat...she is a quick swallow! Little lids that fall on the floor.

Every single day is an adventure with them. Any ride in the car gets us lots of looks..they love to bark at other people in cars. I am probably the only person in the world that has a never ending audience with I take a shower, Penny pulls the curtain back, Maggie keeps trying to jump in and Katie lies on the carpet wondering when the two crazy dogs will mellow out, (if ever)

On another note. I have met some of the most amazing people in second life. Doctors, Nurses, Teachers,Professors of nurseing, and Math and Jazz Professors and a super techie girl. A German entrepreneur living in Honk Kong, and his proteges ,Agriculture Professors and one working on the study of trees and vegetation . It all seems almost impossible to believe. Some days i need a pinch to make sure its real! Each of these people are making history finding new ways to tap into students brains and think of new way of learning to make it exciting and rewarding and they have allow me and Random Cole to be a big part of this.

I have to say I still love Second Life and I'm around my 8Th year in there. Second Life is a wonderland and always will be to me. Tonight I spent time exploring a bit. I am always in awe at the wonderful possibilities. I have always thought you get what you put into Second life....the old saying Garbage in-garbage out... don't look for or bring garbage to Second Life you will be astounded how wonderful it is

If its been awhile since you explored Second life...I think its time you check it out again! Fall in love all over again!

Learning Mandarin in Second Life!

Hi,

My sister just left after a 10day visit and I had friends from Europe drop in, so i have felt like a social butterfly, sorta kinda maybe not..lol

But, What really has me going is in Second Life there is a new school that Random and I have been working on that teaches Mandarin Chinese.. I have always thought that Chinese was way way way over my head but the teachers are patient...and explain the sounds. They are able to work with complete beginners, and people wanting to brush up on their Mandarin too.

Its interactive, its fun...its not sitting in front of a screen its...actually playing while you learn! The best part is you have actual Chinese mandarin teachers. You can pick your avatar, and dress up!!!

If you watch this video http://t.co/LGbT0Rj it makes you think about how the whole concept of teaching is the same everywhere for as long as we can all remember...until TODAY. 3d Avatar School changes the whole idea of learning and teaching and their support system is amazing.

There are mountains, floating clouds, fruit you can climb, challenge games for groups, "lofty" games and sooo much more. I could go into more detail but, you need to check it out yourself. Planning a trip to China, or wanting to brush up on Chinese Mandarin before you head to high school or college in the fall...

I cannot think of an easier way to learn a foreign language. Hope you do take time to check it out. You honestly have never been in a classroom like this!

Spring has sprung...

Hi, I love this time of year, flowers blooming, sunny days, cold nights, hay fever lol. Things are looking up ...Penny is great and Katie is fine... I keep planning such wonderful things to post..but work and life get in the way.. I am working on a really really interesting project in Second Life, for now that is all I will say lol. Del Sol, my wonderful store is going good.. Really really short post...mostly just an update of my girls and life in general..Hope all is great with everyone.. x0x0x0x0x Xandi (Japan is still in my thoughts..)

Well nothing seems as happy as my last post. My feelings for what has happen and happening in Japan are overwhelming. I constantly during the day stop for a min and think and say a little prayer. It is difficult to know I'm going to sleep in a bed, when some people in world don't have the simplest of needs.

On to my own issues .. I woke up a few days back with a black eye..literally. I went to the drs and was told i had a staph infection in my eye..ugh. It spread to my face and I ended up with two black eyes and lots of ugly messy face stuff. I can say it is now clearing up, after lots of antibiotics and creams!

Katie, (13 years old) my Llewellyn setter went to the vet a several months ago. I was told by one of the vets, she had cancer... so I went home and had to think it through. I set her up for surg a week later...When I got there I saw a different vet and he said..no, I don't think its cancer. He did about 5 xrays and came back and said it was bone fusion in her spine. She couldn't walk well and started being treated with steroids shots. I honestly felt she was just not going to make it, and obviously the Dr did not either, he suggested she might also have cancer but with her condition and age, keeping her comfortable was the best decision and an invasive surg on her would not be recommend. I did not have her on heart worm prevention. I didn't even know about heart worms. They had about 10 different posters all telling of horrible things dogs get. I looked away. BIG MISTAKE!

At the last appt she was really doing great, the pills worked. She was almost her old self. So she needed to have her toe nails clipped and get her prescription renewed. I took Penny for the ride and off we went. Everything went great, I had Katie's meds, and was purchasing heart worm protection blah blah... well I was headed out the door and the Dr said Oh Katie was not tested for heart worms last time you were here..and after about 20mins the dr came and said Katie has heart worms..UGH my heart sank. I felt like a complete and total failure. They did xrays and came back and said it had not enlarged her heart. So she started the treatment. She came home upset and tired. She slept for a few days and I was at her side bringing her water, and breaking up bits of food.. She is to go back in a few weeks to have the final treatment of two shots and an overnight stay. My point of this is for a few dollars and a taking time to think if I have done everything i could to keep my pets healthy, I COULD have prevented this. If I had taken time to think of what I needed to do to be a good pet owner.

1) no pain of treatment and infection for Katie
2) treatment ends up being around 1500.oo

Penny my golden is great and yes she is on medicine to prevent heart worms now. I am reading a book on caring for pets http://www.amazon.com/Dogs-Ultimate-Guide-Matthew-Hoffman/dp/0875965326

So, in closing its important to educate yourself if you decide to have pets. You are their only chance at having a healthy life.

Hi Everyone

It's almost spring! The weather is giving me tiny bits of spring fever..yay

Everyone is great, Penny is swimming already, and Katie is doing great, she has some issues with fusion of bones in her back, but the meds really help her and keep her mobile.

Penny is the only dog i have ever known that loves tv. She interacts, barks, sniffs, stares..her favorite channel is ..um Animal Plant lol

Second Life has been incredible busy. Its such an exciting place to work. I feel I'm going to a creative party every day. In the next week, or so I will take time and post some pictures that you can check out .

I have some new things at Del Sol too! hope you check it out.

The craziest change for me..I'm tweeting now! Not a lot yet, but I'm thinking. I want my tweets to be something that is important to me. I find I'm not as spontaneous as i would like lol

The wildest thing that has ever happen to me so far on tweeter is Yoko Ono is following me. I was like omg omg omg. I of course follow her. She is just amazing, and calming. Her tweets are uplifting.

I am amazed at all the people on tweeter.. I like to hop around checking out what people are saying. Some i try to follow, but they tweet constantly and I'm afraid they fill up my tweets too quickly so i dump them. I think its a lot like real life ,some like the sound (look) of their own tweets a bit too much. lol

Anyway enough about that...I hope everyone is well, happy and doing what you all love doing..in life.

Second Life has been incredible busy for me..and im happy for that. I have posted a new set on this page...below. But also I am starting to put things on the MarketPlace for Second Life. I have put things there at a bit of a discount...

Also starting to put my Christmas items on MarketPlace..you can seach my name of course, for the items.

My bad doggies are being good doggies..Its cold now so no more swimming :(

But I do have to say I really love this time of year...when the nights are abit chilly..can't wait to light a fire. (in the fire place)

Christmas!

Hi,

I have been pretty busy ..but made a few new sets..hope you take time to check it out..

And...now I have my Christmas things out...I love this time of year. Lots of cute things...
If you land in Del Sol Furniture..there is a landmark for it..or if you know the area..its in the center of Del Sol too..right next door. I have trees, wreaths, angels, stars, santas, ms claus,misfit toys (my fav) old fashion Christmas things...you have to see to appreciate lol

Dogs ....Penny is getting huge..she is 72lbs...And Katie ..is still sweet Katie..lol..Last night was bath time..when its done the bathroom is soaked..and they get so excited afterwards..running, fighting, jumping around. I always bath Penny first.... and afterwards Katie...Penny peeks in watching me give Katie a bath...waiting for her playmate. lol

Penny is a golden retriever..and when im at the computer and she needs attention ..she nudges her nose in the bend by my elboe.and pushes up ..knocking my arm till i stop and play with her.....she loves to be petted..and at the end stands facing me sitting in the chair giving me kisses lol ..Katie on the other hand comes..and stands..waiting patiently for me to pet her..and..then i cant stop..she keeps butting my leg till i continue... I kinda think my life is ruled by my pooches!!!

Almost turkey day...not sure if ill get turkey this year..I have been clearing my home, packing. painting and throwing things away..and giving things away..Turkey always makes me sleepy and
I always eat wayyyy to much of everything. My favorite part is the 7 layer salad..I could eat that everyday...(not a bad idea) oh! and i want to annouce my favorite cake is German Choc..or Coconut Cake..love them both. But i hardly get either and spend alot of time..eating peanut butter sandwiches..im just not living right!

Im reading a book..The Lost Symbol..Gosh its good..all sorts of facts about Washington etc etc..Dan is such a good writer..

ok ok ok ..real life is calling hope you all have a Wonderful, Blessed, Happy, Food filled Thanksgiving with lots of relatives and friends around!

Paris Apartment!

Hi,

Well the new furniture addition is called Paris. Its so cute with little surprises. The working clock is adorable ..A rendition of the Eiffel Tower is amazing! Its a lamp! And as the probably cutest thing in all of Second Life, the rug is astro turf with a rubber mat..and it grows little flowers..awwww. You can turn that function on and off. Then the little retro suitcase table is cute cute cute.. Hope you take a min to check it out.

New things at Del Sol Furniture... I have pictures of a couple of new sets below. Its an odd blend of color light blues and reds but I love it... Hope you like it too!!!

I have some time off and im updating lots of things in the store and adding new things..

hi!

hope you take a min to check out Del Sol...i have put a few new sets out. i always have the best intentions but lately life has been a bit hectic..

i have been knocking around the idea of creating a group..and sticking to it and .offering discounts and prizes..so im going to think on how to do it effective and make it worthy of asking you to join..giving away a random item seems a bit jaded , if it does not match or go with your plans..so i want to ponder it and do what is best!!!

i don't hardly ever go out , so tonight i went to a baseball game..and ..while there it rained so hard, had strong winds, knocked out power, took some roofs off, downed trees, took down power poles... for hours.. Everyone had to sit there in the dark with just emergency lights..waiting!!! so it just proves going out is not all its cracked up to be!!!!

if you ever decide you want to learn to speak spanish ... you can do that in secondlife!!! at http://www.languagelab.com/en/ .. they have beautiful sims that are a so much like a small spanish town. they have certified teachers and the cost very very very resonable to join and go to class. you learn how to order food, shop, go to different tourist spots without ever leaving your home. so when your ready to head over to Spain, you can know you have learned from people actually living in that country. they have english courses too in a different area and its so interesting. go check it out and and take some lessons and play games, role play and learn while your having fun!! check out the web site..my thought is that we spend so much time in secondlife why not use part of your time to learn a new language!! you can see pictures of the english and spanish towns.

i just really think its such a neat concept.

Happy Almost Spring !

Hi,

Well I have been so busy..but happy to have time now to update my items in Del Sol.

I have some new ideas I will be working on in the next week. The urge I have is spring eclectic..flowers, plants, furniture mixed in to give a kinda of mix and match feel..So it will be serveral pieces that match dif sofas, rugs, chairs..antiques,modern...and you bring it together with your color and feelings

When im done..ill be boxing older sets and setting them for sale at a discount ..yay!

On the personal side.. We had snow here!!! I honestly think it was 2 inches maybe more. It seem like a blizzard, it was comming down so fast...but and a huge but!! The very next week it was 80degrees

My furry buddies, Katie and Penny are great... had an alpha dog issue..since Penny(golden retriever) is getting huge..but its resolved.

So in closing please check back in about a week!!! Pretty Please, with a cherry on top!

I have been busy with the holidays and work..so not on here as much..but i have started updateing furniture at Del Sol Furniture and Del Sol Too (outdoor things) as hard as this is to believe im getting spring fever..wanting hot weather..sun sun sun...

My crazy puppy..Penny is about 6months old now..and she is a HAND FULL!!! She has a best friend Katie (my other doggie)

I really enjoy Secondlife but its been a bit buggie for me lately ..not sure why...

My thoughts are jumbled so i better close ..just wanted you to know im still alive and building

I have been busy adding furniture and updating some at Del Sol Furniture.... If you have not been there in the past few months ..wow things have changed .. lol

The new home is so colorful... in real life i wouldnt have the nerve but hey..this is my secondlife so i can do wild...and playful and colorful etc etc etc

I am working on furniture for the new home...kitchen bar... living, and bedroom..so it should be ready soon soon soooooon...

I had a brainstorm Ouch and my next sets are going to be totally different should be out in the next week or so... something unexpected from me...

There is a new addition to my home.... a new puppy its a golden retriever... and i call her Penny.... and i have to mention Katie my beautiful Lewellen Setter... (not sure i spelled it right) i love my puppydoodles...EEek is storming here and i expect to lose power anyyyyy ..min..so have fun ...enjoy your lives, both of them....

I have been sorta in a brain scramble mood and not up to posting or adding or ..well anything,
but I am feeling better finally! I had a tramatic spring but i manage to live thru it...

so here goes...

Feb, March, April, May... were a blurrrrrrr.... lol I have added new furniture in the store. And lately (past week) I have been in a home building mood .. I Posted a few of the new ones..not big homes but convenient and with character and fun built in!! I did a hanging bed in the ..beach hut and in the Adobe style i put some wild little lamps hanging from rafters on chains.... come by there is a bowl of chili with your name on it . Oh and becareful there might be um snakessssss.
And im so careless i leave my cigs burning all the time lol...hey its called a m b i a n c e...

I will post some of the new furniture also here... not sure what order. I am taking the pictures now lol.. I made a retro working fan(no it wont cool you) but the blades spin its soo adorable..and the Flamigos by Random Cole ...are the cats pajamas..They are sculpties soooo low prim how funny to put them in a yard for someones birthday ..one for each year. And i love my little oil lamps.. that glow in colors etc.. at the country bed set. And I made sure grandma wont like my rocking chairs(unless she is supra coool)...and I was bored too so i Pimped your Ride!!! Check them out ..It's SL have fun ... shake it up..

Also someone showed me the most unique thing to do ..with prims Yes something i have not figured out before..and ill post a picture of it..tooo...I think ill be the second to do it in Secondlife, is that possible ..noooo way.. so its Elvis and its sorta neato

Well im off to get the pictures of my new things..etc etc...and I hope you have a wonderful summer or winter depending on which side of the earth your on. In closing I want to thank everyone that comes to Del Sol, you have all made my experience in Second Life so inspiring.
I used to like to paint , water colors and pencil drawings and painting and still do from time to time but SL gives me such an artistic outlet..

Oh on my profile i put dorky funny sayings...i find humor in words...and i have "Everything i know i learned in prison...Someone asked me if its true and was i not afraid i would scare people.. ..well news alert its a joke i have not been to prison..and i have no bodies in the closet..
My favorite one is. "The grass in greener on the other side" as quoted by "Cow". Did i mention im dorky ..

Well Christmas has passed ..we survived. I have been working quite a bit lately on the store and have remodeled Del Sol and Del Sol Patio...

I have moved kitchens and offices over to the Del Luna (there is a tp to it when you land in Del Sol on the bright green signs lol ...Hard to miss...

Del Sol Patio and Garden center has taken on a life of its own.. so many new things...You have to check out the sculpty flamigos.... and all the garden items.. Its neater and seems easier to manuver.

The Original Winterland ..was such a success this year.Thankyou to everyone who helped make it such a great experience....Its closed now :( but in our hearts forever...

In closing please take a minute to stop in at Del Sol Furniture and Del Sol Patio and Garden center..we have lots of new things.. oh and Happy New Years

Yes its true...all those noses pressed to the sim edge can now get in ..and boy have they. I really want to thank every single person that has come to visit...

The whole layout is a bit different and if i do say so myself ...It is fan fricken tastic.. I go there and feel like im stepping back in time so sincere simple Christmas...

You wont find glitz, bling or the normal things you have come to expect in SecondLife.

When you land if you touch the sign you will recieve a HUD wear it and you can touch the landmarks on it to teleport to the area you want to explore..

Sushi Samba in SECONDLIFE !!!!!!!!!

Well when you have time you must check out the beautiful builds by Random Cole and myself. We built two locations of Sushi Samba and also Sugar in Midnight city for Aimee Weber.

I have added two links to the right so you can see it ..omg i love it..

If you love color, and "the wow factor" then you have to go there in person (well secondlife avie type person ) It has so much charm.

Random did a beautiful job building the actual buildings and omg check out his build of the Sugar bar and the reflection ..it is 10000percent amazing..

Ok i have said enough ... now you have to just take the time to see it yourself.

Del Sol has retro... the Atomic set by Random Cole. Its kinda comfort for the eyes..Scroll down a bit to see the picture.

We have some new bathrooms too.. You have to check them out.

I've been sorta busy between real life and some cool projects...but as always we try to keep fresh and new things comming to Del Sol.

We kinda have some surprises in the near future..so keep checking Yikes!!!!

I was wandering around secondlife and found the cutest dress store...Maria Gherardi is the owner. The shop is called MG Fashion... but dont waste your time searching under find. It never came up for me so i checked her profile and used the link under her picks.

The shop is located in Portucalis sim. The exact coordinates are 67,158,22 Season Twins
Beach Resort.

Her shorts are the best i have seen in here...her tops are adorable. Flexi skirts with some interesting color blends..

I would probably consider her style as casual. So in closing its well worth a drop in. I considered it a great little treasure hunt

Hi.

I work in a virtual world called Secondlife.com. In there i have two stores. One is called Furniture @ Del Sol in the sim Del Sol. It is decor items for the home. Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and game rooms. The second store is Del Sol Patio in the sim Del Luna.
It is primarily things for the outdoors and sunroom items etc the list could go on forever...We even have some model homes there

I enjoy building furniture and will use this blog to post new items im working on and have placed in the stores... But I have also decided to add some information on some of my favorite designers, clothing , hair, shoes and skins etc..

I'll also share some of my favorite spots in SecondLife as time goes on...and I'll even give you little tidbits about the past in here. So this will be a bit rough at first..but give me time..
