I've realized I'm not the greatest at interpreting "art" and I really just didn't understand the point of a huge metalalic structure across from Rockefeller Plaza. I felt a little bummed about the fact that I'm so dense about understanding abstract art, but when I came home and reflected on the day, and thought about compiling my video, I realized that I actually could take meaning from the giant sized pocket mirror.

My video is more of a socio-personal interpretation but I hope it's easy to understand where I am coming from. I didn't post "en vivo" while I was living in Spain; I just didn't have the time. But now that I have a little time on my hands before school starts (and I go to Hawaii! Really, I'm not pretentious!) I'm planning on getting some footage posted. I'm also aiming to do some serious overhauling on my page.

I have so much to say about "how this experience changed my life" but for now I will say that when I returned from Spain (I think) I had an epiphany - I'm going to go into broadcasting. Feel free to leave me any tips or feedback about this. That would be much appreciated.

SO MUCH to edit - I'll get some vlogs up eventually! In the meantime you can checkout the new pics I've posted on flickr (mostly starring my sister).

Day 1: Leon, Spain

Watch the Video

The Nata village vlog
Josh Leo's Webpage
Michael Verdi's Webpage

vlogging in the rain is fun

"The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves - say rather, loved in spite of ourselves."
~Victor Hugo

"Men may believe what they cannot prove. At least they do when you let them, when you work with circumstances instead of saying, 'This isn't supposed to be happening this way,' and trying hard to make it happen some other way. If you're in tune with The Way Things Work, then they work the way they need to, no matter what you may think about it at the time. Later on, you can look back and say, 'Oh, now I understand. That had to happen so that those could happen, and those had to happen in order for this to happen...' Then you realize that even if you'd tried to make it all turn out perfectly, you couldn't have done better, and if you'd really tried, you would have made a mess of the whole thing."
~The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff

"My own humanity was awakened, rising up to greet me with a handshake as I watched the first glimmers of sunlight peek over the horizon. There's such a big difference between being dead and alive, I told myself, and the greatest gift that anyone can give anyone else is life. And the greatest sin a person can do to another is to take away that life. Next to that, all the rules and religions in the world are secondary; mere words and beliefs that people choose to believe and kill and hate by. My life won't be lived that way, and neither, I hope, will my children's."
~The Color of Water by James McBride

Bean Town, MA

"Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
