You can read elsewhere, the characters, plot line, are there closeups of January Jones!
The film obviously works well if you are familiar with the XMen story going to the origins of the Professor X and Magneto beginnings, along with the first X-Men recruits.
There is a good preview of where the characters originated, leading to the sides they take against the ‘humans.’

What is reflected more in this film is the emotional aspect of the characters and how they deal with the fact they are just humans themselves, just with unique gifts, who take one view of humans or another – sides forming. This is a good contrast to the earlier films where they are portrayed as their stoic end characters.
A 60′s vibe to the film is a good change and backdrop the story.

The only criticism, is the end of the film felt a little rushed in its telling, but i guess that’s for the next installment.
Worth a watch? – IF you are familiar with the X-Men story, it is good to see how they have adapted it to screen. As a stand alone movie you have just come across, it still works and has a good story to hang all the effects off (and they are great)

The cast list is out there, speculation behind us and now we just wait to see if the film lives up to the hype.
As with the Wolverine story, the film makers are dealing with a storyline precious to X-men fans, who have read multiple times version of the comics and graphic novels, know characters inside out and want to see certain story elements as they are in the comics.
Wolverine was a good film, but personally think it was a story more for what would work, have an impact on screen or wow non-x-men fans.

X-men first class has the trailer out and looks great, but as with all trailers, is that all the best bits? Hope not.
If the film makers stick more to the X-Men mythology set down already, then not only will it satisfy more people, but have more continuity with the comics.
Ok, films have to show, what will work on screen, prioritise certain story elements over others, budget, etc., but really this time it nees to follow the X-men orginally sotrylines as per the comics, otherwise, it maybe another – ‘pretty good, great effects, great bits, nearly there, but……….’ type feeling.

Anyway, watch the film and sum up if after years of comic and graphic novel reading the film comes up to scratch.

If you want a new way to consume your comic characters, then Comixology may be the way.
They have a good selection of comics for the iphone, not just Marvel characters, like the X-men, but many other titles.
prices are fine for what you get, but personally with the quality of the Marvel artwork especially, you would prbably need an ipad to get the full benefit.

This app from Android zoom looks like the starters of a good xmen themed android app.
It is listed as a mobile pet. How this will work out in time we wait and see.
Feedback on the quality and usability would be great.

A well put together montage from the makers of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game, going into the characters and snaps of the game levels. IF you haven’t played the game, this is a good look at what its about.

A note – some of the moves in the game, especially the more advanced ones, should be in the next movie. The game shows the moves fantastically and show how Wolverine moves more akin to the comics.

A behind the Scenes look at X-Men 3: The Last Stand. with Bryan Singer, Hugh Jackman, Famke Jansen.
A bit old now, but interesting still, even for the thinking behind the various aspects of the film.

A nice video from Fox starting with Hugh Jackman’s short overview of him playing the Wolverine character, along with snippets from the film.

No matter that the feedback is one x men origins: wolverine, its clear Hugh is excited by the character and X-men, which will hopefully show in future movies.

Although set for screening on April 30, 2009 in theatres in Jordan, UAE, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, it seems thefeddbakc is just coming through.
It seems the storyline is being quite enjoyed in that part of the world, with differing feedback from the west.
Its interesting to see how people from differing cultures, interpret the stroyline and what they pull from the movie.

Hugh, for his part quite enjoyed exploring the darker side of Logan. The character of Wolverine as pictured in the earlier three movies has always had to deal with faint remnants of a murky past, magnified by his amnesia. X-Men Origins: Wolverine tries to tell the audience about this troubled past of Logan aka Wolverine.

10 years since the debut of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, the next entry in the popular fighting franchise will soon find its way to audiences worldwide, following the recent popularity of fighting games.
For the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 released early next year, combines modern and classic characters from both arenas.

Marvel’s Deadpool and Super-Skrull will be in with the Marvel additions.
The interview at Gamasutra with  Ryota Niitsuma, producer of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 at Capcom Japan, says the new game will be darker, slower of pace in a bid to attract new fighting game users.

The Marvel aspect of the interview was as below -

How much did you have to work with Marvel with the look of each character? Did Marvel have any influence over how the Capcom characters looked as well?

RN: First off, Marvel didn’t give us any direction or suggestions for how Capcom characters should be depicted in the game. As for the Marvel characters, the idea is to make these fighters as fun as possible to play in the game, so along those lines, it’s not like we’re dealing with tons of red tape over character design. There are certain aspects to the Marvel in-house style that they insist on sticking to with their characters, though, so Capcom does get guidance along those lines from them.
