In the last 15 years, I gained weight from just eating the wrong foods, too much food and at bad times. In July 2008, my weight was 330 pounds. I was on five different meds for high blood pressure.

In February of 2009 after a disagreement of sorts, I didn’t feel good. Something was wrong, very wrong. I had it checked at a fire station it was my pressure hit 260/150. They almost took me to the hospital. I was at 354 pounds, waist at 46, shirts were 3XL and a size 56L suit size. So now I heart damage, gout, high blood pressure and the weight was out of control.

Healthy Eating | Changing Your Eating Habits

Healthy Eating Changing Your Eating Habits:
The food you eat can affect your health and your risk for certain diseases. To eat healthier food, you may need to change some of your daily habits. You also may need to change some things in your environment. Your environment includes everything around you, like your home or the place you work.

Weight-Loss Success Story: I Finally Started Eating RIght

Weight-Loss Success Story

My freshman year of high school, I gained a lot of weight, maybe weighing up to 170 pounds. I stayed that way for a year, until a high school breakup caused me to lose weight (I can't eat when I'm stressed). Then, throughout college, I gained more weight, not realizing the amount I was eating and how bad the food was for me. I tried exercising, but always wanted immediate results, which of course, never happened.

Lose Weight Naturally | Natural Obesity Remedies

Natural Obesity Remedies:
Eat less, move more. Sounds simple enough, right? If it was, more than 25.6 percent of American adults wouldn't be obese as of 2007, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. While a low-calorie diet is the right idea for weight loss, it's important to eat foods that contain the right vitamins and minerals to aid in this endeavor.

Xoco Slim | Chocolate Protects The Heart

The Checkup - Study: Chocolate protects the heart
We all know that many women love chocolate. But does chocolate, in effect, love them back? Well, a new study provides new evidence that eating chocolate can protect a woman's heart.

Women who consumed one or two servings each week of what is considered high-quality chocolate because it contains a higher density of cocoa had a 32 percent lower risk of developing heart failure. Those who had one to three servings per month had a 26 percent lower risk.
<img width='1' height='1' If you're struggling to get up off of the couch for a 20-minute run or quick gym session, a study presented at the American Physiological Society may be all of the motivation you need to get moving. The research showed that a single bout of exercise can reduce fat by-products inside the muscle, thus affecting insulin sensitivity.

Jennifer Hudson Reveals New Size 6 Body

Jennifer Hudson Reveals New Size 6 Body
There are a variety of different ways to lose weight, from dieting to exercising to using dietary supplements. By looking at your different options, you can determine which quick weight loss method is right for you.

The most tried and true method of losing weight is diet and exercising. By finding a well-balanced diet for you and exercising on a regular basis, you can help ensure that your body stays in top shape, as well as helping to reduce your overall weight. By eating right and exercising, you help your body stay healthy, making sure it is able to burn all of the fat that it needs to in order to operate well. Drinking cold water helps your body to burn off fat because your body has to work harder to raise your temperature back up.

Another type of method for losing weight is by using dietary supplements. These supplements aim towards helping lower weight gain by a variety of methods. Some of these supplements work by decreasing your appetite, while others work by increasing the number of calories that your body burns. A combination of dietary supplements might provide you with the best weight loss methods, and combining these supplements with exercising and dieting can help to ensure you lose the maximum amount of weight you can.

If you are looking for more powerful methods of weight loss, then the over-the-counter weight-loss drug known as Alli may be what you are looking for. This is the highest strength weight loss drug that you can buy that does not require a prescription. If you are unable to find the weight loss that you need from other methods, then this drug may be exactly what you are looking for. Remember, dieting and exercise can help go a long way, even when using weight-loss drugs.

For those with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above, prescription strength weight-loss drugs may be the way to go. These drugs are extremely powerful weight loss methods and should not be used by anyone that does not truly need them. If you are seeking to lose a couple of pounds, the other methods mentioned will be more than sufficient in your goal. But for those seeking to truly turn their life around and get back on a healthier track, then these drugs can be the gift you have been looking for.

Have you ever felt the urge to eat when you were really upset? Even more, did you act on that urge and stuffed yourself with sweets, ice cream, pastry or pizza? Therefore, there is no wonder diets don’t work if you cannot master your feelings other than by literally feeding them food.

You need to understand that eating emotionally is not a reaction to physical hunger. Your body does not require food. Instead, your feelings, your state of mind, most of the times distressed, act as a stimulant – eating becomes a must in the attempt to deal with all sorts of feelings. In order to do away with such a harmful habit, you should first identify what activates it. Number one in a rather extensive list of need-to-eat-though-I’m-not-hungry triggers is the feeling those around you don’t know to appreciate you. Maybe you’ve been promoted or gained a bonus to your monthly payment, but nobody has bothered to acknowledge it. The next “natural” step is to give yourself a treat by diving into a bucket of ice cream and thinking that you do deserve this sweet “escape”, since the others haven’t even bothered to ask what you have been doing lately.

A second trigger is often resentment. You are bitter at yourself – no matter what you do, it doesn’t turn out right – or at someone else – yeah, you know, they seem to just not care about you – so the only thing you know will do you any good is food. You eat with resentment and you eat a lot, because this is one feeling that will not go away easily. In fact, the more you eat, the more resentful you may feel – until you get tired and think you’ve had enough, but you’re already at the point where you’ve stuffed your body and done damage that is difficult to mend.

Another trigger of emotional eating is the French-echoing “ennui”. You feel there’s nothing you can do to diversify your life: you have no choice of travelling, of activity, of befriending someone, or of occupying your time. In other words, you are bored, so you find a getaway in eating. Food can truly both diverse and diversifying. However, you forget that, while filling up part of that boring time, food will also load up your body. You forget that, once you’re set on losing weight, you can actually find yourself at a point where boredom, resentment or feeling unacknowledged should be tackled with in all maturity and understanding of your concrete needs.

In other words, there are ways of not being bored, of not feeling underappreciated or resentful different from eating. I’m not saying it’s going to be child’s play – no matter what you do, weight loss will always require some effort from the part of the dieter – but things can work out for the best if you are able to recognize what makes you eat when you’re not hungry at all and then find ways to correct this unnecessary “necessity”.

Weight Loss Tips | Eight Great Ways To Lose That Weight

Everyone is looking to lose a few extra pounds - so here's eight tips to losing weight permanently.

1 - Take everything one step at a time. Begin simply by paying more attention to what you are eating, slowly cutting back on the bad foods and implementing more healthy foods into your diet. Once you have this under control, the next step is to add exercise to your plan. If you do not like exercising, take this one step at a time as well by implementing only 15 to 30 minutes at a time, at first.

2 - Choose foods and activities that you enjoy. If you do activities that you get enjoyment out of, you will find them to be much more successful than trying to exercise in ways that you do not enjoy. The same goes for foods that you implement in your diet: Choosing foods that you enjoy will help you enjoy your diet rather than craving bad foods.

3 - Build muscle. You lose calories based on your weight. Muscles, surprisingly enough, burn calories more quickly than fat does, pound for pound. Work out with weights to build muscle and lose weight, and then allow your extra lean muscle mass to burn more calories for you on a long term basis.

4 - Reduce your carbohydrates. Do not cut your carbohydrates out completely, because your body needs carbohydrates for energy. Cut out some of the white breads and pastas from your diet, though, to cut down on the carbohydrates that you consume. What carbs you do need to eat, you can replace with whole wheat and brown carbs for better health.

5 - Set realistic, measurable and attainable goals. Put deadlines on your goals, making them measurable. Make them realistic by choosing goals that you know you can attain. Set long term and short term goals and you will more readily achieve your expectations regarding quick and healthy weight loss.

6 - Give up the bad stuff. It may surprise you how unhealthy it is to eat candy, cookies, cakes and other sweets, and to drink soda and sugar laden drinks. Cut these bad goodies out either completely, or at least 80% of the time and the pounds will shrink away without you having to do much else to make the weight loss happen.

7 - Have a suitable breakfast. Most of your calories should be consumed early on in the day, and breakfast is no exception. Eat a nice breakfast to give your metabolism a good foundation to run from for the remainder of the day.

8 - Control portions by leaving something behind. Make sure your portions are correct based on the actual serving size of your food, and then make sure not to clear your plate completely. Exercising portion control will give you better control over what you put into your body for easy and achievable weight loss.

Implement these tips one by one and in no time at all you will begin to see a significant difference in your weight.

Xoco Slim | Weight Loss And Cravings Video

<img title="Click to play" alt="Video thumbnail.
It seems that more and more scientists are discovering that your common burgers and fries, the kind of junk food everybody eats from time to time are as addictive as hard drugs.

Look at this article from October 2009 that says cakes and sausages will program your brain into craving more foods….

Here's another article from Mar 2010 that reports that junk food is as addictive as smoking or taking drugs and could cause compulsive eating and obesity.

You probably already know that the global obesity rate is steadily on the rise for men, children and women alike. Could there be any link? Could it be that the extremely harsh refined carbohydrates from sugar and white bread are the things causing this alarming rise in obesity??

Let's look at what happens when your blood sugar spikes after eating white bread and drinking soft drinks…

After a sugary meal…. your blood glucose levels spike…. which triggers the pancreas to start producing insulin…. which in turn lowers blood sugar levels..

There are a number of problems with this process, all of which contribute to weight gain:

Problem #1: Insulin is a hormone that stores carbohydrate calories in the form of fat,

Problem #2: Insulin tells the body not to release any stored fats to use as energy,

Problem #3: Insulin inhibits other important hormones in your body, one of which is responsible for burning fat and calories and the other is none other than the human growth hormone.

Problem #4: Insulin also causes hunger by reducing your blood sugar levels in only a couple hours after the sugary meal.

Can you see a pattern forming? First you eat a sugary meal… Then insulin gets released within your body to lower your blood sugar levels… Once your blood sugar levels are lowered, it causes you to crave more food... And naturally when you crave food… You Eat!

This vicious cycle is caused by refined carbohydrates found in sugar and white bread.

On the flip side, if you restrict the number of calories you eat you naturally begin to feel tired, hungry and deprived. This is the main reason why diets fail. But unfortunately people blame themselves for not having enough will power.

The truth is that weight loss has little to do with will power. What you need is the right information. And now you know.

Xoco Slim | Fat Loss And MSM

All weight loss diets come with life-changing approaches or at least with new substances, habits, activities introduced into your daily routine. Methyl-sulfonyl-methane (MSM) is not something necessarily new to you, in the sense that it is a chemical compound (a compound of sulfur) that is produced by the body. Generally, the quantities of methyl sulfonyl methane are rather small in the body. Moreover, as we grow older, they decrease. Therefore, the introduction in your diet of supplements containing MSM can prove beneficial in a lot of manners, together with helping with weight loss, release from muscle and joint soreness, and sustaining the stability of your general physical condition.

The first thing to remember about MSM is that it is a natural variety of sulfur and it can be found in the cells of your body. MSM is valuable in dealing successfully with various disorders, since it presents a stabilizing result on different tasks accomplished by the human organism. Certain amounts of MSM can be found in most meats, in fruits and vegetables alike, as well as in fish or shellfish. The issue, nonetheless, is in the manner of actually getting those amounts of MSM from the food into your body – you cannot do it unless such food is ingested raw, since MSM is fast destroyed by any type of heating.

MSM provides for two essential routines within the body. First, part of the excess MSM consumed will be eliminated from the body within 12 hours of the ingestion – and the wonderful aspect is that many toxins are eliminated along with it (which is imperative in an efficient weight-loss program). Second, the MSM is part of the structure of the walls in the cells permanently regenerated by our body – a process necessary for the replacement of old cells. Along with the generation of new cells, the MSM is absorbed in the structure of the cell walls, rendering them more accessible to nutrients.

Additionally, MSM is significant for preserving the body’s blood sugar and energy levels. It is equally important in the generation of insulin. It accomplishes a whole other series of beneficial functions in the body. If you opt for MSM supplements targeting weight loss, you should know that the methyl sulfonyl methane will aid in the breaking of carbs – this means an accelerated metabolism and an improved weight loss process. Another process important in weight loss diets is digestion – and one essential aspect aided by MSM here is the bile production.

Since it diminishes joint and muscle discomfort, MSM can also be successfully introduced to help with a physical routine. The implementation of this sulfur compound can also mean longer-term maintaining of a more challenging physical effort – which, is known, should be combines with any dietary approach to losing weight.

However, cases are known of people who have opted for the administration of MSM supplements and gained weight. The result was quite the contrary of what they had expected. Nonetheless, this took place because their body retained water after ingesting the MSM supplements – it had undergone a side effect to the compound. This may happen, but not in many situations. In the case where you opt for the MSM alternative, should you notice an increase of weight, you are advised to break off the implementation of the supplement right away.

Xoco Slim Weight Loss | Why Chocolate Is Good For You

We All Love Chocolate but do You Really Know How Great Chocolate is for You?

In ancient Aztec times chocolate or ‘Cacao’ was sacred and was associated with fertility and love. It was considered a food for the gods and was used as currency.

Now, why do I call it Cacao and not Cocoa? Raw cacao is the unprocessed bean used to make cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is processed and some of the natural fats are removed.

The beans from the cacao tree contain powerful antioxidants that are known to help eliminate deadly free radicals from your body. In fact, CACAO has the highest ORAC antioxidant rating per 100g, way in front of ‘Acai’ berries or ‘Goji’ berries.

Raw cacao has shown to be effective in promoting mental well being through the production of endorphins. It also acts as anti-depressant by raising serotonin levels. Cacao is a complete food. In fact, cacao is the #1 source for magnesium, used in hundreds of metabolic processes.

Cacao is a also a rich source of:

Iron – which fights back anemia

Zinc – Helps with Immune System

Vitamin C – Is a Super Medicine

Fiber – Cleanses digestive system

Cardiovascular cleansing compounds – Reduces the risk of blood clotting

Chromium – Balances blood sugar levels

Manganese – Formation of haemoglobin

So what's the problem with our modern day chocolate? I'll tell you what it is!

It's the pounds of white refined sugar and pasteurized homogenized milk that's added to it. White sugar is a very harsh carbohydrate that acts as a drug causing your hormone levels to spike. Pasteurized homogenized milk comes from thousands of cows. Some of them sick and most of them treated with antibiotics and growth hormones.

But there is a better way to make your own chocolate at home. This is a chocolate that's super-healthy and actually melts pounds causing rapid fat loss. Get all the details here: http://www.xocoslim.com.
