Cocomelody Designer Wedding Dresses

I've been a fan of Cocomelody website for at least 2 years, I always find something that I love and sometimes I find dresses that I thought I created in my mind but they actually have something really similar to what I wanted.

But today I actually want to talk about something new I found out about Cocomelody that I didn't section.

I'm talking about the Designer Wedding Dresses, where I found the most beautiful wedding dresses I've ever seen, if you are getting married soon and you still don't have a wedding dress I really recommend you to take a look at these beauties, I'm pretty sure you'll fall in love with these dresses just like I did. My brother is getting married next month and I already sent the link to my sister in law so that she take a look and maybe find her dream wedding dress.

I never really thought about how I would like my wedding dress to be like, but these designer weddings dress really got me thinking so I kind of did these wishlist because these dresses are absolutely gorgeous, it kind of made me want to buy one just to try it on :) Even though I'm not getting married anytime soon, but I decided to do my wishlist anyways and share with you, because maybe one of you is looking for a beautiful wedding dress and I would like to help with my suggestions.

I was able to reduce my favorites to only 6 wedding dresses, I must say that it was not easy, but here they are, I selected from a few different designer, so check the website if you want to know which designer is and see more of their collection.

Since I was already on the Cocomelody website, I decided to check some wedding dresses but for the reception because I don't know about you girls but I would like to have two wedding dresses one long and puff and on short and more simple so I found myself on the short wedding dresses section and I have to say that I was surprised the short wedding dresses were as pretty as the long ones, these are my favorites.

Hoje trago-vos um update sobre a minha vida de Au Pair nos Estados Unidos, como alguns ja devem saber eu ja estou a viver nos Estados Unidos a cerca de 2 meses, mas a minha rotina tem andando muito complicada e ainda nao tinha tido tempo de vir conta-vos sobre esta nova etapa que comecei na minha vida, vou comecar a publicar um video actual e um video que gravei quando ainda em Portugal ate conseguir organizar-me e comecar apenas a postar videos sobre a minha estadia aqui nos Estados Unidos. Beautiful Prom Dresses Are Not Only For Prom by Promonsale

As you all probably know by now, I'm currently living in the USA and working as an Au Pair, this week I found out that I will have to attend a wedding with my host family in August and of course I started to freak out because I didn't bring any formal dress from Portugal so I don't have anything to wear to a wedding and as an au pair I don't have a lot of money to shopping for expensive dresses.

I started to search online, which is what I normally do if I need to buy more inexpensive clothes or dress because I always find something that I like, that fits the situation and that it's more cheaper than if I shopped in physic stores. And found this website that I really liked so I decided to share with you my favorites and ask you guys for opinions on which one you think I should get for this wedding.

The website is called Promonsale and it's as the name indicates a online shop for prom dresses, but I think that you can wear these dresses in many other occasions other than Prom.

I did my research and I went through a lot of dresses online shops and I can tell that on Promonsale.com was where I found the most cute ones and I also found some really cheap prom dresses that definitely do not look cheap. This way I can look good for less money, because I didn't wanted to spend a lot of money on a dress that I will wear for a short period of time, because I don't know anyone, so I will be watching over the kids and as soon as I'm done, I'll leave the party.

So I came up with my favorite top 6 dresses and I would like to get your opinion on which one you guys like the most, because right now really confused because I like them all.

I also found this category on Promonsale about Short prom dresses which I also really liked and I found 3 that were my favorites and I could see myself wearing but because I'll be playing with the children, short dresses ar probably not the best solution but I decided to share with you guys, because if it was a normal wedding I would definitely go for one of the short dresses on Promonsale website, because they are so simple but at the same time, the details on the dresses makes them so different and beautiful and it not what we normally see on stores, that one of the reasons I love to shop online is because you will find a way bigger selection of different dresses.

Ola ♡ Coloquei hoje no meu canal do YouTube o video que gravei para colocar no meu application da Au Pair in America, quando estava no processo de me tornar Au Pair nos Estados Unidos. Algumas meninas pediram para partilhar, pois estou com duvidas sobre como fazer, o que devem dizer, onde devem filmar e foi por esse motivo que resolvi partilhar o meu, pois foi o primeiro video que gravei na minha vida, nunca tinha gravado videos comigo a falar para uma camara e fica mais dificil ainda porque temos que falar ingles.

Nao ficou grande coisa, e havia muita coisa que neste momento teria mudado, mas ainda assim partilhar convosco e fiquem atentas porque vou gravar um video a dar dicas sobre o preenchimento do Application e tambem como escrever a Carta e como fazer o Video que irao colocar no vosso application e que as Host Families irao ter acesso.

So algumas informacoes importantes na agencia Au Pair In America, que e a minha, o video nao pode ter mais de 3 minutos e nem pode ter mais de 16mb, para terem uma ideia quando acabei de editar o meu estava com 132mb, mas vou fazer sobre isso mais detalhadamente num outro video, por isso fiquem atentas.

Hi girls. Today I’m super excited with this post because it will be about Wedding dresses more specifically my sister in law wedding dress. Yes, my brother is finally getting married and as you all probably know I not living in Portugal so I will not be able to attend de Wedding which is heartbroken but they have been so nice and trying to include me in everything that would been doing if I was with them in Portugal.

I think one of the most important things of a wedding is the bride wedding dress and if I was there I would definitely help my sister in law choosing her dress and would go shopping for wedding dresses with her. But since I’m not and the wedding date is right around the corner, we decided to shop online for her dress.

The online shop we choose was jdbridals.com which is the perfect place to shop for beautiful, inexpensive and has the perfect dress for any event you are having. They offer numerous designs in wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, parties, evening dresses, homecoming, cocktai. And every single one of these dresses are high quality.
When we started to look for wedding dresses we knew we need something beautiful, with good quality but also cheap because they just had a baby and she didn't wanted to spend a lot of money on a wedding dress.

Quero comecar por pedir desculpa pela ausencia aqui do blog, mas neste momento ja me encontro a viver nos Estados Unidos da America, e foi todo muito em cima da hora e uma grande confusao e desde ja quero pedir imensas desculpas pela falta de noticias. Quero pedir desculpa tambem pela falta de acentos, pois estou a utilizar um computador americano e nao sei como colocar acentos xD.

The quality of this products is amazing, the fabric is really soft and I got it in size XL because I learned the hardest way that normally chinese sizes are a lot smaller than European size but this one actually has the perfect size and it fits me really well, I'm really happy with this product.

I also ordered this long sleeve irregular blouse in fuchsia, I know they have it in black, white, gray and rose red, I have to say that all the colors were cute but this one catch my eye, I immediately felt in love with the fuschia color. I also love the elbow details.
The blouse is even more pretty live than in the pictures. As for the material is Spandex (Lycra) and I was expecting really bad quality because some photos on the website were not the most flatered, in some of them the blouse look really irregular, like it was wrongly made but when I opened the package I was really suprised by the quality and I'm so excited to wear it.

Now about this sweater... It was a last minute buy because Dresslink has this thing called Flashbuy, where you can get selected products for that day for only 0.01$, which I love, I think it's a great idea. You just have to make an order over 10$ and you can buy a product from the 0.01$ section, and trust me after you start searching on their website, I'm pretty sure you'll make an order over 10$ :)
Well, back to the sweater... I decided to get this sweater and it was 0.01$ like I said, the price is unbelievable cheap and I got the sweater in size XL. Well when I got the package I was really disappointed at this sweater, mostly because of the fabric because it was really bad and cold and also because of the size like I said I ordered XL and it looks like an S or M because it's really small and the fabric doesn't stretch, so it was really small for me but I'm going to give it to my cousin and I'm sure she will love it. Don't get me wrong for a 0.01$ it was a great deal but I would be really upset if I had paid the full price for this sweater.

I was in serious need of a good pair of gloves and I really liked these pair, there were many colors but they were in sale so the red was the only color available at the moment and I actually moved on to other products because I was looking for a more neutral color but after a while I couldn't stop thinking about the gloves and I went back and added to the cart. I was so in love with the design and it decided to get it even in red because it's a really strong color and I was afraid I couldn't use them with a few of my oufits. At the end, I'm really glad I ordered them because, yes, they're a really bright color but it make my outfits really pop out.

And the last item I got, was this set of makeup brushes, I love to buy makeup brushes but I don't like to spend a lot of money on them. I found that some cheap brushes do the same thing as really expensive ones, so I started to buy this kind of brushes and I'm really happy so far.
I got this set of 5 eyeshadow brushes and I'm really happy with the quality of them, they're soft and blend really well, So if you're looking for good makeup brushes but inexpensive ones I highly recommend checking the Dresslink brushes because you won't regret it.

I got this one because I wanted a simple bracelet but that it could be elegant at the same time, and I got it, this bracelet is really pretty and the white and gold together are perfect it makes the bracelet really bright and pop out. It looks like a very expensive bracelet.

And here's the final item, one of my favorite pieces, "diamond" earrings. I'm absolutely crazy about this kind of earring, I think they look so elegant and pretty and even though they're small earrings I think sometimes they can get as much attention as statement earrings because they're really sparkly. I already own a pair of these earrings but they were a little smaller so I really wanted a bigger pair and these ones have a perfect size, I'm completely in love with them.

Au Pair - Agências em Portugal e o Processo

Olá Meninas.

Hoje trago-vos um vídeo sobre o meu intercâmbio de Au Pair nos Estados Unidos, eu recebo várias perguntas sobre que agências em Portugal fazem o intercâmbio de Au Pair, qual é a minha, para que serve a agência, etc..,. Então eu gravei este vídeo onde falo de todas as agências que conheço em Portugal, poderá haver mais, falo sobre as diferenças entre elas e aproveitei também para vós explicar passo-a-passo qual é o processo para se tornarem Au Pairs nos Estados Unidos. Espero que tenham tido um excelente Natal e que tenham entrado em 2016 om o pé direito.

I'm always online searching for new stores and new clothing pieces at an affordable price.

I think that bloggers have to know which shops are trustful and which ones aren't so that we can share with our followers and advice them, where to shop online. So when I find a shop that I actually like and that is the real deal I like to go through the website and create my wishlist. I do that a lot if I bought everything I have on my wishlists... Oh, My God, I would go broke in two seconds.

Today I decided to share with you, my wishlist from Dresslink. What I like about Dresslink is that people that bought from them, review the pieces in their website, so you can read what people thought about the fabric, the size, and some people also share picture of the real product, I have to say that seeing pictures of the real products has saved me a few times from buying things that look really cute in the description page photo but in reality is doesn't that cute. Hoje estava meio aborrecida e resolvi gravar um vídeo que é bastante comum no YouTube e que eu pessoalmente gosto imenso de ver, porque sou curiosa à cerca destas coisas.

O vídeo é O que eu tenho na minha mala? E eu aproveitei o facto de ter comprado uma mala nova na Primark e ter feito a troca para vos mostrar porque assim sei que esta arrumadinha e não vou mostrar nada que me envergonhe, porque a minha mala por norma está cheia de lixo.

My Havaianas Collection

Ontem foi dia de dar uma arrumadela no quarto, o que não acontece muitas vezes =). E enquanto estava a limpar o meu roupeiro, resolvi organizar as minhas havaianas por cores e aproveitei para partilhar convosco a minha colecção.

Eu comecei a colecciona-las quando tinha ai uns 16 anos talvez, e graças a Deus o meu pé não cresceu desde então, senão já me tinham deixado de servir. No verão são o meu calçado preferido quando preciso de algo confortável ou quando tenho que andar bastante.

As havaianas não são propriamente baratas portanto eu aproveitava quando elas estavam em saldo para comprar ou no Freeport porque também são mais baratas lá .

Neste momento já não colecciono, para ser sincera porque já não tenho espaço para mais e também porque já tenho todas as cores que preciso, mas tenho muito orgulho na minha colecção.

Vocês usam havaianas?

Yesterday was the day I decided to clean my room, yes that does not happen that often =) and while I was cleaning my closet I organized my Havaianas by color and I decided to show you guys my collection.

I started my collection when I was about 16 years old and thank God my foot did grow since then otherwise they wouldn't fit me anymore.

In the summer, Havaianas are my go-to shoes when I need something comfy or if I have to walk for a ver long time because they're really good.

Havaianas are not exactly cheap so I normally bought them when the were in the sale.

Right now I stopped my collection, honestly because I don't have the room to storage more and also because I already have all the colors that I need, but I'm really proud of my collection.

Depois de muitas dúvidas, incertezas e nervos, hoje venho vos dizer que criei o meu canal no YouTube e acabei de publicar o meu primeiro vídeo :).

Depois do vosso incentivo e apoio, no post em perguntei o que achavam de criar um canal, podem ver aqui, resolvi mesmo avançar com a ideia.

Acho que vai ser uma mais valia para partilhar melhor convosco o meu intercâmbio nos Estados Unidos e desta forma ajudar meninas que estão a pensar em ser Au Pairs mas têm dúvidas.

Já publiquei o meu primeiro vídeo no YouTube e quis logo vir partilhar aqui convosco. Achei que o primeiro vídeo do canal deveria ser uma introdução ao que podem esperar ver por lá.

Além de vídeos sobre o programa de Au Pair, podem esperar também vídeos de moda, maquilhagem, TAG's, DIY e muito mais.

O meu primeiro video está longe de estar perfeito, mas estou super orgulhosa por ter tido coragem de publicar no YouTube.

After many doubts, pros and cons and feeling nervous about it, today I'm here to tell you that I started my own YouTube channel and that I just posted my first video :).
After all your support in my previous post, see here, where I asked you all, what you guys thought about me starting my channel, I decided to go for it.
I think it will be the best and easiest way to share with you, my Au Pair program in the USA and this way I can help girls that also want to became Au Pairs and have questions and doubts about the program.
I already posted my first video on YouTube and I wanted to share with all of you right away. I thought that the first video of my channel should be an introduction to what you can expect to see on my channel.
I'm not only doing videos about the Au Pair program but also related to fashion, makeup tutorials, TAG's, DIY and much more.
My first video is far from perfect, but I'm very proud of myself for having the courage to post it on YouTube.

Addicted to Lip Balms

Eu tenho uma confissão a fazer... Sou viciada em batons de cieiro. Sim, não consigo resistir. Os meus favoritos são os lipsmackers, podem encontrá-los na Claire's e acho que os da Primark também são da marca lipsmackers, mas ultimamente eles não têm estado em promoção por isso acabei por comprar os da marca Claire's.

A semana passada tive na Claire's e como estavam em promoção consegui comprá-los a 1€ cada por norma custam 2,50€.

Os meus batons do cieiro têm que ter sabores e quando há com sabores a doces, eu fico maluca e tenho que comprá-los.

Comprei dois de frutas, um de ananas e um de maçã e são muitos bons, tem o sabor real e não aquele sabor artificial, detesto quando isso acontece.

Em termos de hidratação, eles são bons, eu não tenho os lábios muito secos, por isso para mim hidratam o suficiente, claro que não são tão bons como um bom hidratante labial, mas fazem o que é suposto.

My lip balms have to have flavors and if they have a sweetor candy flavor, I go crazy and I have to have it.

I bought two fruity lip balm, the pinapple and the apple one and they're really good, it smells like the real deal, it doesn't have that artificial smell, which I hate when that happen.

They hidrate well enough, I don't have very dry lips, so they do the trick for me, of course they're not as good as a great lip balm, but they do what they're suppost to do.

E agora, olhem estas delicias que achei esta semana na Claire's do Freeport, também a 1€ cada.

O cherry pie, que tem um sabor delicioso a cereja, é muito bom, deixa um tom vermelho nos lábios como é comum nos batons de cereja; o chocolate milkshake cheira muito a chocolate no tubo e fiquei com receio que fosse muito enjoativo quando colocasse nos lábios mas não, tem um sabor super suave mas sabe na mesma a chocolate.

E por fim, eu tinha que comprar este, um lip balm de batata frita, adorei-o e tinha mesmo que o experimentar.

Sou sincera, não consigo decidir se sabe mesmo a batatas fritas ou não, faz-me lembrar o cheiro de quando passamos por um carrinho de pipocas ou farturas, algo assim, nem consigo explicar, mas gosto dele.

Ainda há outros sabores que quero experimentar, vocês já experimentaram estes batons do cieiro da Claire's?

The cherry pie, that like the name says has a delicious cherry taste. It's very good and it leaves a red color on the lips, like normally cherry lip balm do; The milkshake chocolate smells a lot like chocolate in the tube and I was a little affraid that the scent would be so strong that would make me sick but no, when you apply it, it actually has a soft taste on the lips but it tastes like chocolate anyway.

And the last one, I had to buy, I mean...a french fries lip balm, I really had to try it.

I'm honest, I can't really tell if it smells like french fries or not, I mean it does smell like something fried, like when you're close to carnival carts, I can't really describe it, but I like it.

There are still some flavors that I really want to try, have you tried the lip balms from Claire's?

Beauty Review: Cien mascara

Cada vez mais acredito que no que diz respeito a maquilhagem nem sempre se tem que gastar muito dinheiro conseguir-mos produtos com qualidade e hoje venho vos provar isso.

Eu adoro usar rímel mas sempre tive dificuldade em encontrar um que fizesse tudo o que precisava. Comprei dezenas ao longo dos anos e alguns eram bons, mas como eu tenho poucas pestanas ficava com aqueles espaços entre elas e eu odeio ver isso, acho que não fica nada bonito.

Eu comprei este rímel da Cien que é a marca de produtos de beleza do Lidl e comprei por 1.99¢ e não há palavras para vos dizer o quanto gosto dela, mas faz com que as minhas pestanas fiquem perfeitas, tem tudo o que precisamos numa rímel.

Já comprei alguns da L'oreal por 12€ e não fez nada pelas minhas pestanas portanto eu não acredito quando dizem que a qualidade paga-se caro, porque eu achei um óptimo rímel que faz tudo o que é preciso por um preço baratissimo. gosto mesmo muito deste rímel e neste momento não o trocava por nenhum que há no mercado.

Estava tão feliz que comprei logo um de reserva porque eles nem sempre estão disponíveis na loja e comprei também um à prova de água para experimentar e posso dizer que a qualidade é também muito boa, a única diferença é que o aplicador desta é mais pequeno.

More and more I believe that when it comes to makeup you don't have to spend a lot of money to get good products and today I want to prove.

I love mascara, but I always had a hard time to find one that actually did what I needed. I bought so many mascaras some of them were good but not what I wanted, they gave volume, but I don't have many lashes, so you could see big spaces between them and I hate that, I don't think it looks pretty.

I bought this Cien mascara from Lidl, it was only 1,99€, which for a mascara it's really cheap and I can't even say how much I like it, it makes my lashes perfect, it has everything you need in a mascara.

I bought mascaras from L'oreal that cost me 12€ and did nothing for me, so I don't believe when people say that if you want quality you have to pay. I found a great mascara, that I love for a low price and right now I would not change this mascara for any other in the market.

I was so happy that I bought a refill because they are not always available in stores and I also bought the waterproof one and the quality is similar, the only difference is that the brush is a little smaller.

Store Review: Apparel Candy

I love searching online for new online stores and when I find one that I like and that sells pretty products I like to share with you, my discovery. I think that we can always use a good and cheap online store.

Today I want to introduce you a store called Apparel Candy, that sells wholesale clothing (basics and trendy pieces) and accessories like sunglasses, makeup, fragrances, and handbags so you can get stylish fashion pieces for an affordable price.

Their store is one of the largest online wholesalers of cosmetics from nail polish, make-up, eye shadow, lipstick, to nail polish removers and eye curlers, perfumes and colognes. So it's definitely a destination for fashion clothing online that you have to bookmark and visit all over again.

I never would've thought to shop from a wholesale website, but now I've changed my mind. I didn't make an order from them yet, but I'm already adding stuff to my cart because everything is so affordable and there is a huge range of products with different styles to choose from.

In the Apparel Candy Wholesale Clothing section, I found some cool dresses and tops that I’d love having in my closet. They come in different all these different colors and prints, they really are lovely and stylish. For Fall/ Winter, I actually found some really nice sweaters and jackets, they have a great variety of pieces. I decided to create a wishlist of my favorites, take a look and let me know what you think.

So the good thing is that all of the items at Apparel Candy are super cheap you can buy a top for 6$ and a pack of 6 for 39$, you can get a lipstick for 1$ or 6 for 6$, a fragrance for a unit price of 3$ or the pack of 4 for 12$ or a clutch at a unit price of $7.50.

I mean when it comes to clothing pieces I might want to buy a dress and get an extra, but I will definitely not going to need 5 extra but if you're shopping online and can put together a group, like friends or family that might also like the products, I already did that and it really works.

Or you can also take advantage of the holiday season if you are looking for presents for friends, cousins, aunts, sisters, it's the perfect time to get a pack of 6 lipsticks, nail polishes, fragrances, or even a 6-pack of cute sweaters and put together a cute gift bag for them.

I think that shop wholesale jewelry specially or some items that you will need forever, like white/black/nude tank tops, vests, jewelry, sunglasses, lipsticks, eyeshadows it's a great way to save some money.

So I'll definitely be checking the handbags since they come in a pack of 1 and also the beauty products because you can never have enough of those.

Depois do post que fiz sobre a minha decisão de ser au pair, podem ver aqui, recebi vários emails a perguntar mais coisas sobre o programa e resolvi fazer um pequeno post sobre o que é ser au pair.

O programa Au Pair é um programa de intercâmbio cultural que permite que jovens de todo o mundo vivam com uma família em um outro país. Au Pair é um termo francês que significa "a par" ou "igual", ou seja, indica que a pessoa seja igual entre a família que o recebe.

As Au pairs devem cuidar das crianças e executar pequenos serviços domésticos até um máximo de 45 horas/semana. Não são responsáveis por serviços que não estejam relacionados com as crianças ou com as áreas de convivência da casa.
Os deveres de uma au pair geralmente incluem: Acordar as crianças; Levar e/ou ir buscar à escola; Ajudar com os trabalhos de casa; Brincar com elas; Leva-las para passear em parques, playdates ou outras actividades; Preparar refeições; Lavar as roupas das crianças; Arrumar as camas e Limpar a casa de banho das crianças.

Em troca a Au Pair recebe alimentação e hospedagem gratuita. Recebe ainda um salário semanal e uma bolsa de estudos, que possibilita que estude nas suas horas livres.

O programa Au Pair é regulamentado pelo governo americano, onde recebemos um visto especial de intercâmbio.

Geralmente o programa de Au Pair dura 12 meses, mas pode ser prolongado por mais 6, 9 ou 12 meses. Podendo também ser prolongado com a mesma família ou com outra.

I have to say that it was really hard to only choose a product for review because I was doing a list with the ones I liked and when I realized, I already had 5 products that I loved. The designs are absolutely amazing, so creative that really made my choice harder. I decided to share with you, my favorite top 5 products and then below you'll see the one I decided to get.

Devo dizer que foi bastante dificil escolher um produto para review, porque eu comecei a fazer uma lista com os artigos que gostava e quando dei por mim, já tinha 5 produtos escolhidos. Os desenhos eram maravilhosos e super creativos, o que tornou a minha escolha bem mais difícil, Eu resolvi mostrar-vos os produtos que tinha na minha lista e embaixo vão ver a que decidi pedir.

So I had to make a hard decision because I love their tunic vests, but II also liked their sweatshirts. In the end, I had to go with the sweatshirt. Because I love to wear big sweatshirts in the Fall/Winter so thought it would come really handy since it's getting cold around here.

I got my order about a week later and I have to say I was amazed by the quality, the sweater quality was great, but the design print is something else, I washed it as soon as I got it because I already had bad experiences with print shirts after I wash them, they break the print or the letters end up glue to each other.

After I washed the sweater the print was perfect, even if you stretch the material it doesn't break, so I was pretty amazed and happy with that.
I ordered the size XL because I like this kind of sweatshirt a little large on me and luckily is not too big, I like how it looks on me. I've been wearing it like crazy at home and when I workout too. It's super pretty and comfy.

Então tive que tomar uma decisão dificil porque eu gostava muitos dos tops de alças deles, mas também gostava das camisolas. Acabei por optar por uma camisola porque adoro usar este tipo de camisolas no Outuno/Inverno e vinha mesmo a calhar visto que o frio está a chegar.
Recebi a minha encomenda em cerca de 1 semana e tenho que dizer que fiquei mesmo impressionada com a qualidade, o material da camisola é muito bom, mas a qualidade da estampa é algo do outro mundo. Eu lavei-a assim que a recebi porque já tive péssimas experiências com estampas após lava-lás, ou as letras estalaram todas ou ficarem coladas umas as outras.
Depois da lavagem, ela saiu perfeita, mesmo se esticar-mos a camisola, a estampa não estala, a sério a qualidade é mesmo muito boa.
Encomendei no tamanho XL, porque gosto destas camisolas largas em mim, e felizmente ela não é enorme, gosto bastante de a ver em mim. Tenho-a usado muito em casa e também quando faço exercício. É super gira e confortável.

This time I didn't have the courage to create my own design, but I'm really curious about it, I'm not sure if you can use any image you like and have it printed on the shirt or if it has to be an image that you design yourself, but I'll check that and if I have the chance next time, I'll create my own sweatshirt or top for sure, maybe something with food because I love clothing pieces with food on it or maybe a XOXOCITYGIRL official sweatshirt or top, oh my God, that would be awesome, don't you think?

Não sei bem se podemos usar uma imagem qualquer que agente goste e imprimir na peça, ou se tem que ser uma imagem mesmo criada por nós, vou ter que verificar e se tiver oportunidade para a próxima vou criar a minha própria camisola ou top :) Talvez algo com comida, eu adoro peças de roupa com imagens de comida ou talvez uma camisola ou top oficial do blog, XOXOCITYGIRL, oh meu Deus, isso era espectacular, não acham?

Should I Start a Youtube Channel?

Olá meninas. Hoje queria saber a vossa opinião sobre algo que ando a pensar desde que decidi ser Au Pair nos Estados Unidos.

Eu adoro escrever no blog e obviamente não tenciono deixar de o fazer mas tenho andado a pensar se não seria proveitoso criar também um canal no Youtube e conciliar as duas coisas.

Acho que talvez se torne mais apelativo ver um vídeo do que ler um texto enorme, como é o caso dos textos sobre o Intercâmbio de Au Pair que ando a preparar, para explicar todo o processo.

Desde que filmei o vídeo para o application, que fiquei com esse bichinho de experimentar, mas depois por outro lado tenho algum receio, acho que um canal de Youtube mesmo que tenha poucos subscritores, estamos mais expostas, então estou assim meio que na dúvida.

Eu sei que quando estiver nos EUA gostaria de fazer alguns vídeos sobre as minhas viagens, compras, as lojas de lá, etc... mas também não sei se isso seria algo que gostariam de ver, como podem ver, preciso mesmo da vossa ajuda.

Se criar o canal, não quero apenas fazer vídeos sobre o intercâmbio de Au Pair, porque acho que ficaria mais interessante se gravasse também alguns tutoriais sobre maquilhagem, penteados, alguns outfits , DIY's, talvez algumas receitas faceis que depois também irão ajudar no intercâmbio de Au Pair.

O que vos parece? Acham que devia começar um canal? A realidade é que de Au Pairs portuguesas apenas existe um canal no youtube e eu queria ajudar meninas, que assim como eu tive no ínicio, também elas têm muitas dúvidas sobre o Au Pair e acima de tudo dar a conhecer este intercâmbio as meninas que não o conhecem.

Iam gostar de acompanhar as minhas aventuras? Agora ainda em Portugal e depois nos Estados Unidos?

A minha decisão se ser Au pair nos Estados Unidos

Hoje trago-vos uma novidade e nem sei bem por onde começar... Tomei a decisão de ser Au Pair nos Estados Unidos da América. Sei que algumas pessoas já conhecem o programa, outras nem por isso, mas não vou entrar em grande pormenor porque senão o post fica muito longo, talvez para a semana faça um outro mais detalhado sobre o que é o programa, as responsabilidades, etc...
Só para ficarem com uma ideia, o programa Au Pair é um intercâmbio de trabalho, nunca se esqueçam que é de trabalho, pois temos a possibilidade de estudar e viajar mas apenas se isso não interferir com o nosso trabalho. E que tipo de trabalho é? Tomar conta de crianças.
Falando sobre a minha decisão, eu tive conhecimento deste programa há cerca de 2 anos mas não era a altura certa para o fazer, por motivos financeiros, e fui adiando mas sempre fiquei com essa ideia na cabeça. Este ano por motivos de idade, apesar da idade máxima ser 26 anos, eu não queria ser au pair fora de tempo (com mais de 24 anos) por isso era agora ou nunca.
Tenho várias razões para ser au pair e para achar que este é o melhor intercâmbio para mim, primeiro eu sempre quis fazer um intercâmbio, mas sempre achei que eram muito caros, e apesar de este ainda ter alguns gastos, pareceu-me acessível e também achei que era bastante seguro, a agência que escolhi tem uma óptima reputação. Depois sempre gostei de inglês na escola, e queria muito aprender a falar fluentemente; sempre tive um fascínio pela cultura americana e quero vivê-la. E por fim, não estava feliz no meu emprego, estava cansada do que fazia e precisava de uma mudança portanto desta vez resolvi avançar com o processo porque trabalhar com crianças, viver nos Estados Unidos, ganhar algum dinheiro (não muito) e ainda poder estudar e viajar parece-me uma óptima escolha.

Nestes 2 anos aproveitei para absorver muita informação, segui blogs, vídeos no youtube a maior parte de meninas brasileiras, pois apenas conhecia 2 meninas portuguesas que tinham feito o programa, só agora descobri que afinal há muitas mais.
Em relação as meninas brasileiras, elas têm mais agências que nós em Portugal e apesar de algumas das dicas servirem para as portuguesas também, resolvi partilhar a minha experiência aqui no blog.
Eu não vou criar um blog separado, eu já tenho dificuldade em actualizar um blog quanto mais dois. Espero que fiquem felizes por eu partilhar esta nova aventura convosco e talvez esclarecer algumas dúvidas a quem queira fazer este intercâmbio.
Tomada a decisão, foi hora de escolher a agência, temos 5 opções em Portugal, que eu saiba: a Multiway/ Euraupair, Portugal Aupair/ Au Pair International e Au Pair in America. Há ainda duas não tem escritórios em Portugal, pelo que é tudo tratado online e por email: a Au Pair Care e a Expert Au Pair. Vou fazer um post a falar sobre as agências, o processo e os valores de cada uma delas, por isso fiquem atentas.
Eu escolhi a Au Pair in America (APiA) que apesar de não ter nenhuma agência em Portugal, tem algumas representantes que são antigas au pairs portuguesas. Eu falei com a Isabel Ribeiro, que me esclareceu imensas dúvidas e ajudou-me a dar início ao meu processo.
A Isabel pediu para me registar no site da APiA e tive logo acesso ao meu application online, para quem não sabe o application é onde vamos colocar as nossas experiências com crianças, outras experiências de trabalho e estudo, falamos um pouco sobre nós, escrevemos a carta para a host family e fazemos o upload do vídeo e de toda a documentação. E depois as famílias, terão acesso a ele. Também vou fazer um post mais a frente sobre como preencher o application passo-a-passo.

Neste momento ainda estou a preencher o app, não estou com muita pressa, porque quero fazer as coisas com calma, preencher tudo direitinho, ir atrás das referências que são necessárias, fazer as 200h através de voluntariado numa creche pois só tenho experiência com crianças na família, e apesar dessas horas contarem, são exigidas pelo menos 200h com crianças de fora, vou também escrever com calma a carta para a host family, fazer o vídeo (que já me esta a dar dores de cabeça), tirar o passaporte, etc...
Vou colocar em cada post sobre o Au Pair Program uma lista com tudo o que me falta fazer e também os custos que vou tendo. Até agora ainda não tive custo nenhum, pois a APiA não tem custo de inscrição, só farei o pagamento depois de ter encontrado uma família e ter conseguido o visto.
