Just Cause is set on a fictional Caribbean tropical island called "San Esperito", where the player works as CIA black ops agent Rico Rodriguez in a guerrilla war to overthrow San Esperito's dictator, Salvador Mendoza, who may be in possession of weapons of mass destruction. The game draws its premise (and name) from the real-life United States invasion of Panama, code-named "Operation Just Cause", which involved United States military action to overthrow military leader Manuel Noriega. (LIKE GTA SAN ANDREAS)

The core gameplay consists of elements of a third-person shooter and a driving game, with a large, open world environment to move around in. On foot, the player's character is capable of walking, swimming, and jumping, as well as utilizing weapons and basic hand to hand combat. Players can take control of a variety of vehicles, including cars, boats, fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, and motorcycles. Players can also perform stunts with their cars in which they can stand on the roof and jump to another car, or choose to open their parachute while still in motion on the roof. Other key features of the game include skydiving, base jumping, and parasailing (by latching onto a moving car or boat while one's parachute is deployed).

The open, non-linear environment allows players to explore and choose how they wish to play the game. Although storyline missions are necessary to progress through the game, players can complete them at their own leisure. When not taking on a storyline mission, players can free-roam. However, doing so can attract unwanted and potentially fatal attention from the authorities.

The player can also partake in a variety of optional side missions, for example, liberating a village or taking over a drug cartel hideout. These are generally (as indicated by most critics) quite repetitive but are necessary to gain points with certain factions.

Pepsiman is a Japanese game for the PlayStation released in 1999, featuring the Japanese mascot for Pepsi, Pepsiman. The gameplay itself is entirely on rails, consisting of Pepsiman running from one end of the level to the other, picking up Pepsi cans and using Pepsi-branded vending machines on the side. Some levels mix up the gameplay by either controlling Pepsiman in awkward situations that change the controls or by having him run away from a renegade gigantic Pepsi can on the prowl. The good news is that this Planet of the Apes retelling isn't quite as bad as the Tim Burton film. Though not directly tied to any of the movies, this ape adventure is based in the world of the original 1960s movie and book. As stranded astronaut Ulysses, you find yourself in a decidedly inhospitable world run by apes that have a penchant for keeping captive humans running around in loincloths. There are some friendly primates and humans to be found, but it's the mean monkeys that are bent on stopping you from learning their many secrets. Sadly, the game's many blemishes include boring combat and a horrific save system that only works between levels.

The overly familiar Tomb Raider-ish gameplay features plenty of button pushing, important object locating, and ledge grabbing. But the outdated visuals, droning voice acting, and occasionally awkward controls will keep seasoned gamers from coming back for more. The game follows Tal'Set, a Saquin Indian who is transported to the Lost Lands; a strange, dark world where "Time has no meaning". while fighting Captain Tobias Bruckner (a tyrannical and genocidal maniac who sees Native Americans as worthless animals; apparently based upon George Custer; though bloosthirsty to the point of psychosis) of the United States Army; apparently this occurs in the late 19th century, around the time of the Indian Wars. He is rescued by the seer Tarkeene that says he is the legendary Son of Stone, known to them as Turok. After being rescued, Tal'Set is sent to eradicate the jungles around the River Village of the Slegs, a race of sentient, humanoid reptiles. He then meets Tarkeene again and he tells Tal'Set that he must complete his mission of defending the Lost Lands, but he refuses and leaves to rescue the Wise Father from a Sleg fortress, since the Sleg's forces that were sent ahead in the jungle were a distraction to leave the River Village undefended.

After saving the Wise Father, Tal'Set encounters Bruckner, who is now a general in the Sleg's army appointed by the Sleg's leader, Lord Tyrannus. Djunn saves the Wise Father and Tal'Set and he is then sent to stop a Sleg assault in the Chasm City. He reaches the senate building and is ordered to destroy the city and prevent the Slegs from crossing the chasm and reaching the city of Galyana. He succeeds and also destroys a Sleg war machine called The Juggernaut, a Fortress atop a giant Diplodocus over 350 feet long.

At the very end of the game, Bruckner appears riding a Tyrannosaurus outfitted with metal tusks and horns, various weapons (such as a Gas bomb-launcher, flame-throwers, a Death ray, machine guns and grenade-launchers) and serves as the game's last boss. Tal'Set defeats Bruckner, but refuses to kill him: Tal'Set doesn't believe he deserves a warrior's death. He leaves him to be eaten by Deinonychus instead; a slower and more horrible death than simply by Tal'Set's Battle-Axe.

The game ends with Tal'Set accepting his role as the Son of Stone and becoming Turok. Lord Tyrannus is also seen at the Sleg fortress, mourning his defeat.

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix is a video game created by Raven Software, a sequel to Soldier of Fortune. It was developed using the Quake III: Team Arena engine. Once again, Raven hired John Mullins to act as a consultant on the game. Based on comments and criticisms of the original game, Raven Software developed Soldier of Fortune II to be a more "realistic" game.

The theme of the sequel is germ warfare, as the mercenary Mullins and his new partner Madeline Taylor travel to Colombia to investigate a viral outbreak in a small town, only to link it to a shadowy organization called Prometheus. The virus, called Romulus, is followed by a computer virus called Remus which is programmed to delete files on any computer in the world, in this case, files relating to Prometheus and Romulus, so an anti-virus cannot be formulated. Prometheus then plans to blackmail the G8 countries at a summit in Switzerland for billions of dollars. It is revealed throughout the course of the game that a mole inside The Shop may be feeding information to the terrorists.

Made Man is a third-person shooter computer game developed by UK company SilverBack Studios and published by Mastertronic and Aspyr for PlayStation 2 and Windows. The game is set in the New York underworld of organized crime in the Mafia. The storyline is written by crime author David Fisher with collaboration from former mafioso Bill Bonanno.The player assumes the role of Joey Verola, a former soldier, as he is indoctrinated into the world of American organized crime and must relive his life - every moment, every kill - as he rises through the ranks to become a made man. The storyline spans three decades of his life, from the horror of Vietnam to the urban jungle of Brooklyn.

Made Man tells the story of Joey Verola, a longtime Mafia crony who's on the verge of being "made." Most of the story is a series of flashbacks that Joey recants to a friend while they drive through New York. What, exactly, the whole plot is actually about is never terribly clear. The game jumps around a lot, and the cutscenes aren't scripted well enough to properly extrapolate on what's going down. One minute you're hijacking a truck in North Carolina; the next you're in the middle of the Vietnam War. The in-between bits of narration try to set all this up into an overarching tale of gold buried in a coffin and rival families in cahoots with federal agents to take you down, but it's all very disjointed and, after a while, insufferable. The lone positive is that Joey is voiced by a solid actor who seems to be channeling Goodfellas-era Ray Liotta at times, and he sells the character as best he can. But every other actor hams it up so badly, and the plot itself is so scattered and unintelligible, that the whole thing is downgraded to somewhere between Godfather III and Corky Romano in the lexicon of mob fiction.

Even if the plot were better, odds are you wouldn't be able to put up with Made Man's awful gameplay long enough to really invest yourself in it. It all begins with the shooting controls, which were sluggish-to-the-point-of-broken in the earlier-released PlayStation 2 version of the game. In the PC version, controlling the aiming reticle with the mouse doesn't drag as much as it did when using the PS2 controller's analog stick (conversely, there's no controller support at all in this version), so it is a good bit easier to hit targets while moving. Still, it's entirely too easy to get shot to pieces while fiddling with the zoom toggle to get a proper aim on anything.

To counteract this, you'll want to use cover as often as you can--though the fact that the cover mechanics border on broken kind of negates the usefulness of this feature. All you need to do is walk up to a spot that looks as if you could duck behind it, like a wall or a box, and press the designated button. Problem is, sometimes that just doesn't register, and you stand there like an idiot while bullets riddle your dopey-looking self. When it does register, there are some cover areas that you can still get shot behind, even though it looks like your whole body is covered. Even more obnoxious, you have to peer out from cover to get any kind of target on your enemies, and the second you do so, they pounce and start firing away at your peeking-out head. And for the game's final trick, sometimes you can't get the targeting reticle out far enough to even hit anything. It's as if it just gets stuck in one spot, and won't move far enough out to shoot anything other than the box you're sitting behind.

Though the names do not correspond with any actual vehicle, the fact is evident both visually in-game and in the names of the game's files.

One of the most appealing aspects with current PC games is the ability to play online with several opponents. It's hard to find a current PC game without an online multi-player feature and for many games that is its main selling point. Of course, if the game doesn't amaze with stellar visuals or rock solid gameplay, it doesn't matter how good the multi-player aspects are. While 1nsane's visuals aren't terrible and the gameplay isn't awful, in the huge crop of PC games, it's falls far below the normal standard that we should see. And while 1nsane features some pretty decent multiplayer features, if you got nobody to play, how good can they be?

If you happen to eye the 1nsane game box, it'll boast "no limits, no rules, no roads." And that's certainly the case for the gameplay in this chaotic racing game. There are eight modes of play to be found in this game:

The game includes a level editor and enables its players to share and download custom content via an online service.

The objective of each level in Crayon Physics Deluxe is to guide a ball from a predetermined start point so that it touches all of the stars placed on the level. The ball and nearly all objects on the screen are affected by gravity. The player cannot control the ball directly, but rather must influence the ball's movement by drawing physical objects on the screen. Depending on how the object is drawn, it becomes a rigid surface, a pivot point, a wheel or a rope, and the object can then interact with the ball by hitting it, providing a surface to roll on, dragging, carrying or launching the ball, etc. The player can also nudge the ball left or right by clicking on it, and in some levels, rockets appear and can be used as part of the solution.

The game challenges players to come up with creative solutions to each puzzle, and provides additional rewards for elegant solutions that don't rely on "brute force" methods. Each epoch brings new technologies and units. Epoch advancement requires additional buildings to be built and the costs of advancing increases as more epochs are attained, although the ability to gather the required resources greatly increases as well. With new epochs, some new units are available at the cost of having to abandon the ability to produce old units, though any old units still alive are kept. The epochs in Empire Earth are the Prehistoric Age, the Stone Age, the Copper Age, the Bronze age, the Dark Age, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Imperial age, the Industrial age, the Atomic World War I age, the Atomic World War II Age, the Atomic Modern Age, the Digital Age and the Nano Age. A game should be judged more on its own merits than how it holds up to other, similar games. But in the case of Cocoto Kart Racer, an utterly shameless rip-off of Mario Kart DS, I feel warranted to make an exception. Cocoto Kart Racer adds absolutely nothing to the kart-racing genre and makes no effort to differentiate itself from Nintendo's champion racing series. And what it does rip off, it usually does so poorly. Although the game plays okay and might even be enjoyable to someone unaware of the Mario Kart series, it offers nothing that Nintendo's game doesn't and is pretty worthless because of that.

The instruction manual gives a brief overview of the story and characters, but this information is completely missing in the game itself. Players are thrown into races without any hint of story or character info, which makes the nauseously cute characters seem pretty random and unimportant. Granted, story isn't the most important aspect in a racing game, but if you're going to bother coming up with some original characters at least give your audience a reason to care about them.

Players can race as eight different creatures, with four more unlocked through the game. Four cars can be selected for each character, although unlike in Mario Kart these are generic cars shared by everyone. The cars also don't seem to have any attribute differences, other than some of them being uglier than others. The twelve racers do have slightly different attributes but in a disaster move, this isn't mentioned anywhere in the actual game. The player will have to look in the instruction manual to find that Neruo has "great acceleration" while Baggy moves "fat and sturdy but handles the road somewhat poorly." Wait, does that last one even make sense?

There's a lot to admire technically in this game, aside from how well it's going to play. Look forward to the first driving game with infinite draw distance, thanks to a revolutionary new graphics engine Effecto Caos has named AMBUSH. Better yet, this performance is promised to be the same whether you're running it in software, or on a 3D accelerator. It's going to be interesting to see.

Races consist of a series of checkpoints, represented by columns of light. In some races, the order in which the checkpoints must be cleared is prescribed. It is up to the player which route to take from one checkpoint to the next. There are no artificial barriers in the game's open world environment that force the player to stay on a specific course. Any area that is drivable or jumpable in the free-roaming cruise mode between races may be used to get to the next checkpoint.

Some areas can be driven upon that are not intended for such use outside of a computer game. Examples are escalators, roofs, railways and riverbeds and many ramps. However, many areas that would be drivable in reality, for example entrances and some stairs, are fenced off with invisible barriers. In some areas, the player can jump or drop down. Using this to the player's advantage can be necessary in order to win a race. If the car falls into deep water,the damage meter goes to its maximum stage and the car starts to overheat and the race is immediately lost.

The game features a damage model. The amount of damage inflicted upon a car is indicated by both an HUD indicator and visual damage to the car. The performance of a car does not degrade with damage. When the damage limit of a car is exceeded, the car explodes or stalls. After a delay of a few seconds, the player can continue with a new car.
