The snow may be thin on the ground but that has not stopped heiress Paris Hilton from enjoying her holiday in the upmarket ski resort of Aspen, Colorado.

The socialite, 30, hit Main Street wearing a Pucci padded coat with a matching pink hat and the obligatory sunglasses.

Hilton's famous pet dog Tinkerbell was nowhere to be seen, although the pampered pooch was last seen sitting sweetly on her lap in a private jet as they touched down in the Rockies.

The reality TV star has been revelling in spending quality time with her family after a few weeks of jet-setting around the world.

She jetted via private jet to Aspen just 24 hours after flying into Los Angeles from Italy.

She tweeted: 'Just landed in Aspen with @KathyHilton @NickyHilton @ConradHilton @BarronHilton @VanessaDubasso, my dad & Tinkerbell! Love my #family!

Taking to her Twitter, she enthused: 'Having the best time skiing with my dad in #Aspen. #FatherDaughterDay :) Feel so lucky to have such an amazing dad, love him so much!

'Love skiing down the mountain blasting @DJAfrojack @DavidGuetta & @Kaskade on my Ipod. It's like clubbing in the snow;.'

After the father-daughter fun, they reunited with the rest of the Hilton family for a dinner at the private diner The Caribou Club.

Paris jetted to the Colorado resort on Monday along with mother Kathy and younger siblings Nicky, Conrad and Barron.

If the red-tinged eyes peeking out beatifically from an impeccably made-up face aren't enough to convince you that Kim Kardashian is really, truly suffering... her mother has words for you.

Kris Jenner wants you to know that her 31-year-old daughter is sobbing from dusk 'til dawn within the beige confines of her Calabasas mansion now she's returned to LA from visiting her poor, dumped husband Kris Humphries, 26, in Minnesota.

'She needs to do what she's doing now and cry and figure it out,' Jenner, 56, told Extra during an interview with Maria Menounos at The Grove shopping mall in Hollywood.

'She's just trying to follow her heart, and she's going to be okay.'
Kim will eventually open up about what led to her decision to file for divorce, her mother added.

Such trailing of the sordid details has been criticised as protracted advertising for the new series of Kim and Kourtney Take New York.

But the Kardashians have vowed to ban all divorce drama from the shows, however, it certainly doesn't stop Kim taking part in an interview elsewhere, and one that's televised at that.

Something that did happen without the E! cameras there to document it, was Kim's midnight flight to Minnesota to see Kris on Saturday night.

And she wasn't at the CBS studios in Hollywood to support her brother Rob in the semi-final of Dancing with the Stars with the rest of her family.

Jenner said of the dramatic dash that her 'she really needed to talk to him.'
Though she was in Minnesota for less than 24 hours, Kim and Kris met with the pastor who performed their wedding ceremony to discuss what went wrong in the 72-day marriage.

Sources told TMZ that while Kim was 'conflicted about the divorce' there was no chance of a reconciliation for the pair and that the summit was about 'closure.'

And Us Magazine are reporting that the mission came as a result of a hostile email exchanges that were building up between the pair.

Kim is said to have wanted to stem the tide before things in the press and at court got ugly between them.

'They both came away with a better understanding of their relationship,' a source revealed.

It certainly seemed intense, the reality star was spotted on the porch of Kris's lavish home during their talks, pacing like a Bronte sister on a windswept moor with phone clasped to her ear rather than a symbolic brace of heather.

Later as she left with suitcase and pillow for the flight, Kris could be seen at the door staring after his wife of such a short period with a hang-dog expression.

When she arrived back at LAX, Kim appeared to be looking drained.

If you look more closely, however, she looks great for having just travelled cross-country, and has even taken care to apply some blusher.

Though her trademark eye make-up had not been applied, to achieve that red raw eye effect.

First Muslim Woman to be Crowned Miss U.S.A

A 24-year-old Lebanese immigrant has been crowned Miss U.S.A.

Rima Fakih, from Dearborn, Michigan, is believed to be the first Muslim to win the pageant despite nearly stumbling over in her evening gown last night.

Born in Lebanon, she emigrated with her parents to the U.S. as a baby. She was raised in New York and attended a Catholic school.

Miss Fakih told pageant judges that her family celebrates both the Christian and the Muslim faiths.
They moved to Michigan in 2003, where she was later crowned Miss Michigan.
Pageant officials said competition records were not detailed enough to confirm if she is the first Arab-American or Muslim woman to win the contest.

The Miss U.S.A. pageant, co-owned by Donald Trump and NBC, was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino last night.
Miss Fakih competed against 50 others in the swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions.
She nearly fell while finishing her walk in a long, strapless gown because of the length of its train - but managed to recover.

In the interview, Miss Fakih was asked whether she thought birth control should be paid for by health insurance.
She said believed it should as it is expensive. 'I believe that birth control is just like every other medication even though it’s a controlled substance,' she said.
Last night supporters at La Pita in Dearborn were ecstatic.

'This is the real face of Arab Americans, not the stereotypes you hear about,' Zouheir Alawieh, 51, of Dearborn, told the Detroit Free Press.
'We have culture. We have beauty. We have history, and today we made history... She believed in her dreams.'

Supporters wore T-shirts emblazoned with Miss Fakih's picture. On the back was a quote from her: 'It's beauty that captures your attention, personality which captures your heart.'

Her short skintight dress might be the perfect outfit for dancing the night away in a sweaty club.

But among the high-fashion labels and flagship stores of LA's prestigious Rodeo Drive, Britney Spears's revealing outfit looked rather out of place.

The 28-year-old didn't seem bothered, of course, wearing a large grin as she shopped in the designer boutiques.

Britney teamed the dress with geek chic dark rimmed glasses and a pair of white wedge sandals.

Rodeo Drive featured in the film Pretty Woman, when Julia Roberts was turned away for being inappropriately dressed by a pair of snooty shop assistants.

But with her fame and multi-million pound fortune, there was little danger of Britney receiving an unwelcome reception.

The singer has frequently spotted on shopping trips in recent months.

But while Britney's Circus world tour helped her make more than £35million from June 2008 to June 2009, she does not control her own finances.

Instead her father Jamie keeps a tight rein on her spending.

He took control of Britney's personal, financial and medical affairs in January 2008 after her very public breakdown.

This guardianship was extended in December and lawyers still expect it to last somewhere between six months and a year.

Kim Kardashian has never been one to hide her figure in shapeless outfits.

But the socialite outdid herself last night when she showed off her toned body in TWO stylish ensembles to attend events in the run up to tomorrow's highly-anticipated Super Bowl.

Early in the evening, the 29-year-old looked stunning in a colourful, geometric-print, strappy dress as she dined with family and her New Orleans Saints footballer boyfriend Reggie Bush, 24, at Miami's Prime 112 Restaurant.

Following the meal at the world-famous steakhouse, Kim tweeted: 'Sooo yummy! Prime One Twelve with the Familia!'

Kim recently said 'relaxing' prior to the Super Bowl was the best way to help boyfriend Reggie prepare for the big game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

She told Eonline.com: 'We have just been completely relaxing. Now we're just going to dinners with our family and with our friends.

And it's just about being low-key now from this point on and focusing.'

But focusing on the game is not stopping curvy Kim from ensuring her wardrobe is eye-catching and paparazzi-friendly.

Late last night the reality TV star opted for a figure hugging pale pink dress that hugged her curves in all the right places as she hosted the 7th Annual Leather & Laces Super Bowl Party.

Despite using the Super Bowl as an excuse to attend parties and spend time with friends, Kim admitted she is feeling increasingly nervous in the run-up to Reggie's big game.

She said: 'Reggie's mum and I text about how nervous we're getting, and I think all the wives and girlfriends are such nervous wrecks.

'This is a huge moment. Obviously we want the Saints to win and it's just fun and exciting and nerve-racking all at the same time!'

And it seems the socialite would do anything she can to help her beau win his important match, including resorting to criminal behaviour!

Speaking about the competition between her and former Playboy playmate Kendra Wilkinson, who is married to Indianapolis player Hank Baskett, on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, Kim jokingly told Kendra: 'Let's meet up, and I'll poison your coffee, and you can give it to Hank!'

The girls also revealed they are planning to support their other halves in very different ways tomorrow.

While Kendra will be donning a Colts jersey bearing the name 'Mrs Baskett' and holding the couple's newborn son, who will also wear a Colts jersey, Kim said she is too superstitious to wear Reggie's team's shirt.

But, referring to the team colours of the Saints, Kim added: 'I always make sure I wear something black and gold, though.'

The game between the Colts and the Saints is probably the most anticipated match of the entire season.

In total, 2,100 private security staff, 1,000 police officers, SWAT teams, armoured vehicles, sniffer dogs, and hostage negotiators will be on hand to ensure the day runs smoothly.

However, it's not only those who attend the match at Miami's Sun Life Stadium who will get to enjoy the excitement.

The Super Bowl is also one of the most popular television events of the year, with many people in America throwing parties to celebrate the occasion.

Last year watched by one in three Americans, figures this year expect more than 100million viewers to tune in. It is also being broadcast live on BBC One at 10.55pm.

As a 23-year-old svelte blonde larking about on a beach in a plunging swimsuit, Lindsay Lohan doesn't need to do much to get attention.

But as the troubled actress posed for a photoshoot on a Santa Monica beach recently, onlookers found themselves distracted by the nasty cuts, bruises and scratches on her body.

On her right thigh, it appeared a chunk of Lindsay's skin has been removed, while a painful red scratch lay beneath it.

She also had another bruise on her left shin and a deep scratch on her right arm.

But despite her many injuries, Lindsay didn't appeared bothered by them and looked happy.

By the time the photos taken will appear in a magazine, we can safely assume her cuts will be airbrushed out of the photos.

The Mean Girls star also appeared to have applied her fake tan badly and had orange blotches on her arms, feet and bikini line.

Lindsay was getting into the Christmas spirit during the shoot as she posed on the beach wearing a Santa Hat.

In between shots, she relaxed on a deckchair reading the latest gossip on Tiger Wood's scandal in the latest edition of American magazine Newsweek.

Lindsay spent actual Christmas Day in her native New York with her mum Dina Lohan, brothers Michael Jnr and Dakota and sister Aliana.

The family also celebrated Aliana's 16th birthday earlier this week.

Earlier today, Lindsay cheered on hockey team New York Rangers play the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

Mounir Moufarrige quit as president and chief executive two months after Lindsay's Spring/Summer 2010 collection was panned by critics at Paris Fashion Week.

Mounir hired Lindsay and chief designer Estrella Archs just weeks before Fashion Week last October.

The collection, which feature bottom-revealing mini-dresses and heart-shaped nipple pasties, were panned by critics.

The label's founder Emanuel Ungaro, who sold his eponymous fashion house four years ago, labelled the collection 'a disaster'.

He said last month: 'I’m furious but there isn’t a thing I can do. I have absolutely no link with that house.

'This happens to a lot of designers. We were creator/owners, responsible for both the designs of the house and its destiny. But when you give up your house, we’ve also given up our soul.'

Mounir insisted Lindsay would continue in her role and she had nothing to do with his decision to quit.

Lindsay Lohan and Leonardo DiCaprio seemed to have developed a habit of running into each other recently.

Just a month after partying at the actor's house, the unlikely friends were socialising again in Hollywood last night.

The pair have been frequently linked romantically in the press this year, and their latest night out will do little to dispel the rumours.

The pair started the night at Voyeur nightclub in West Hollywood, before moving on to San Francisco Giants baseball player Brian Wilson's Christmas party, and leaving separately in the early hours of Friday morning.

Also in attendance was Playboy model Jayde Nicole and Entourage actor Kevin Connolly - who was also romantically linked to Lindsay recently.

Lindsay, 23, was clearly feeling confident as she flashed her underwear in a black transparent lace dress and thigh-high boots.

Although they haven't been pictured together in weeks, Lindsay is still said to be dating DJ Samantha Ronson, 32, who is currently in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Leonardo, 35, is currently single after splitting from Israeli model Bar Refaeli, 24, in June after a three-and-half-year on/off relationship.

Amy Winehouse is 'engaged' to ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil - just four months after they ended their brief marriage.

Former music video assistant Blake, 31, claimed the couple only got divorced in September because of a pressure from their families and were planning to start a family.

Blake, who is currently receiving treatment for his drug addiction in Sheffield after being released from prison earlier this year, said the 26-year-old singer was 'the love of my life'.

He told The Sun: 'Amy and I have talked about getting married again and starting a family.

'This time we're doing things properly and hopefully that will help our families both come round to the idea.

'We've been through a lot but we love each other the same as ever. We tried to get on with our lives and see other people, but it wasn't the same.'

Blake admitted he knows Amy's protective father Mitch Winehouse will not be happy about their engagement.

He told the newspaper: 'Mitch controls most of Amy's life.

'I'm fed up with people trying to tear us apart. The only reason me and Amy want to be together is because we love each other.'

Two weeks ago, Amy was spotted meeting up with Blake in a Sheffield hotel.

Blake’s mother, Georgette, said earlier this month: 'He'll be straight back with Amy in London. I know it won't be long before I get a call from Blake saying, '"Mum, I'm at the airport and we're flying off to get married."'

Blake's claims contradict a recent interview with Amy's teenage god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, who said the couple had split again.

She said: 'No, she went there (Sheffield) to call it quits. Seriously. They're over now.'

Amy and Blake stunned their families when they married in Florida in May 2007, just weeks after getting together.

They'd previously dated in 2005, but split and Amy went on to have a one year relationship with chef Alex Claire, who she dumped for Blake just weeks before the wedding.

The couple's 28 month marriage officially ended last September, but the couple had actually only spent six months together as husband and wife.

Blake was jailed in November 2007 for assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice and was sentenced to 27 months behind bars in July 2008 before being released in March this year.

He filed for divorce on the grounds of Amy's adultery in January - days after the singer was photographed cuddling up to aspiring actor Josh Bowman on holiday in St Lucia.

During Blake's imprisonment, Amy was also linked to her manager's assistant Alex Haines, who sold details of their brief relationship to a Sunday tabloid.

Paris Hilton showed off the cutest addition to her menagerie of pets - her micro-pig Ms Piglet.

The socialite was appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show last night and told the host: 'This is my new piglet - Ms Piglet - she's so adorable.'

The 28-year-old has enough animals to start a small petting zoo and said they even have their own Christmas tree in Paris's favourite colour - pink.

The micro-pig is a growing trend among celebrities with Victoria Beckham said to have bought two for her husband David as a Christmas present.

Charlotte Church has a pair and Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, treated his sister to a couple of ginger and black micro pigs.

Paris, who confirmed she is still dating baseball player Doug Reinhardt, bought her designer piglet in Oregon in October.

She added: 'I have six dogs - there they are chilling in their house in Christmas outfits.

'They have a little Christmas tree in the house. It's Christmas so they need to get into the spirit too.'

As for her other animals Paris told Ellen: 'I have two frogs, two bunnies and I just got a new parrot - an African grey.

'They live to between 75-100 years old.

'He's five months old now, he doesn't talk yet he whistles. He whistles along to music and loves the Black Eyed Peas.'

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian made her acting debut on the small screen as a femme fatale in CSI: NY.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians brunette plays Debbie Fallon, the fiance of a musician accused of murder, but suspicion eventually turns onto her.

'Someone is murdered and somehow I'm involved,' she explains.

It's cool to get in this mindset and really be this heavily involved in such a crazy crime.'

Kim, 28, struts onto the set in a pair of killer stilettos in the episode Second Chances, which aired in the U.S. last night.

'Detective Flack? My name is Debbie Fallon. You're holding my boyfriend, Sam Baker,' she says before handing the man a business card from her lawyer.

'You are accusing an innocent man of murder.'

Kim appears alongside fellow guest star MTV host Vanessa Minnillo.

According to a producer: 'The ladies play two women who’ve managed to concoct a very interesting scheme that ends in murder.'

Kim enjoyed her time on the popular programme.

Everyone here is so genuinely nice,' Kim says. 'But I was really surprised that CSI: NY films in L.A. I was so excited to go to New York for a little vacay.'

Her performance has received mixed reviews from viewers, ranging from 'wretched' to 'not bad'.

It's the second time Kim and MTV host Vanessa, 29, have teamed up - both played cheerleaders in the 2008 comedy Disaster Movie.

Madonna turned the New York premiere of Nine into a family affair last night as she arrived on the red carpet with daughter Lourdes.

The film may have been set in the Sixties, but Madonna was clearly reprising her own Eighties look as she turned up in a figure-hugging outfit.

With her incredibly youthful face and Like A Prayer outfit, comprising lace Dolce & Gabbana bustier dress, long gloves and silver crucifix, the 51-year-old didn't look much older than she did during the 1989 video.

Her 13-year-old daughter was also going for the Eighties look in a D&G fringed skirt, biker gloves, leather jacket, Doc Martens boots and several beaded necklaces.

With her boyfriend Jesus Luz DJing in his native Brazil, the Material Girl treated her eldest child to a night on the red carpet.

Madonna was just one of many A-listers who graced the star-studded premiere at Manhattan's Ziegfeld Theatre.

Last night's screening saw the biggest showing of the film's cast with Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Fergie and Kate Hudson all stepping out in their finest couture for the glittering night.

The movie's leading man Daniel Day Lewis was also in attendance, but the only female castmember missing was Italian screen legend Sophia Loren.

The cast stepped out just hours after they heard the film had received five nominations at the Golden Globes.

Despite a mixed response from critics, Nine is up for Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy), Best Original Song, and three acting nods for Day-Lewis, Cruz and Cotillard.

Arriving on the red carpet last night, Kidman shunned her favourite neutral colours for a girlie black prom dress.

Appearing slightly too tight for the Australian actress around the bust area, the 42-year-old's dress gave her a cleavage a boost.

She was joined by 35-year-old Cruz - who dated Kidman's ex Tom Cruise soon after their marriage split - who went for old school Hollywood glamour in her red hot satin asymmetrical gown.

Excited Cruz, who was earlier nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe for her portrayal of Guido's mistress Carla, said: 'I am so honoured to be nominated for Nine. I had an incredible time working on the film with such an amazing director, Rob Marshall, and with this extraordinary cast.'

Her co-star Hudson, 30, went for a more unusual gown - a embellished monochrome jersey dress with a long train.

Hudson's night on the red carpet come as widespread reports claimed she had split from baseball player Alex Rodriguez after a six-month romance.

Sources close to the high-profile couple said they split a week ago after their return from England, where A-Rod had attended the London premiere of Nine with Hudson.

Amid the reports, Hudson was supported at the screening by her actress mother Goldie Hawn, who looked glamorous in a black tiered gown and white stole.

Fergie, who plays prostitute Saraghina in the film, also brought her mother Terri Jackson.

The 34-year-old went for the Grecian look in a crisp white asymmetrical gown with long train.

The Black Eyed Peas singer put on 17lb to play her curvy character and quickly shifted the weight again in time for her January wedding to actor Josh Duhamel.

She said: 'It was just eating everything that I never eat, like butter, oil, salt, sugar, fat, all those things, and not working out.

'Penelope always had a protein shake and a plate of pasta, and I would have the full-on milkshake and a cheeseburger. I would order French cheeses and eat the whole thing and go to bed happy.

'It was wonderful! I wasn't very health-conscious doing it. I probably had high cholesterol by the time we were done filming.'

They are said to be man's best friend, but Jennifer Lopez could find that her dog is rather costly as she's dragged through the courts in a £3million lawsuit.

The wealthy singer, 40, and her husband, Marc Anthony, are involved in a legal battle launched by an air hostess who claims she was bitten by Anthony's German shepherd.

In court papers, Lisa Wilson, 40, says military-trained guard dog, Floyd, attacked her three years ago when she was working on a private jet.

She claims the dog growled at her and bit her trouser leg, causing her to fall over and injure her back so badly that she is unable to work.

Ms Wilson is now suing the couple in Brooklyn Federal Court in New York.

A vet who examined Floyd, which is Anthony's 'personal protection' dog, said the couple are responsible for the attack.

In an eight-page report, Dr Karen Overall, who has a PhD in zoology, found the dog was a menace.

She wrote: 'It is clear to me that Floyd, Mr Anthony's personal protection dog, behaved inappropriately, aggressively and in a manner that consistently endangered humans.'

Ms Wilson was carrying silverware when she claims the alleged attack happened in 2006 and the vet found that a personal chef for the couple had also been the subject of the dog's anger when he carried sharp objects.

Wilson also noted that she had been told to be careful around Floyd - which her team claims is more evidence the couple knew he was a danger.

She contends Anthony ordered her not to make eye contact with the dog and to call Floyd by his name if she needed to pass.

'The dog was obviously dangerous and we will prove at trial that it was only a matter of time before he hurt someone,' said Ms Wilson's lawyer William Cafaro.

Joseph Varvaro, a lawyer for Lopez and Anthony, responded in court papers that he's hired his own animal behaviour expert to evaluate Floyd.

After spending £35,000 a breast enlargement, Amy Winehouse couldn't be more eager to show off her new look figure.

The singer emerged last night from her favourite Camden haunt, the Hawley Arms, with her bra bursting from beneath her tight white vest.

While exposed lingerie is usually considered something of a faux pas, it appeared to be a very deliberate move by Amy to ensure all eyes were on her.

The star recently boosted her bust from a 32B to a 32D, which sources say has given her a fresh air of confidence.

But she's is now said to be hooked on surgery and planning another breast enlargement and even bum implants.

'Amy loves her boobs,' a source told the Sun. 'She can't stop showing them off to friends.

'She says she feels womanly again and wants to be more curvy like she used to be.

'She thinks by having another operation and bum implants that she will achieve her dream pin-up look.'

Amy has also become obsessed with exercise and keeping her body in shape.

'One of Amy’s positive addictions is she’s got her own gym,' her father Mitch revealed.

'She’s in the gym three or four hours a day. I mean boy is she fit – really, really fit. So that’s a really positive addiction.'

But Mitch is more concerned about his daughter reconnecting with her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

He said that a reunion between the pair would take place 'over my dead body' and branded his former son-in-law a 'vampire'.

Amy is currently working on her third album which is expected to be released next year.

Australian fans extremely upset Britney spears in live show over lip-syncing

Britney Spears has been left distraught over claims that she disappointed fans with her lip-syncing while on tour in Australia.

The pop star is 'extremely upset' over the backlash, her promoter admitted, because 'she's a human being'.

Fans who walked out of her Circus tour performance last week because she was miming during segments of the two-hour show said they wanted their money back as her dancing had failed to make up for the lack of words.

One entertainment writer described Miss Spears as looking 'horrifically out of place, like she'd rather be anywhere else but on stage in front of 17,000 fans, some of whom had paid up to £800 for tickets.

'We were led to believe the lip-syncing was necessary because her dancing was so good, so rigorous, she couldn't possibly sing. But her moves were sloppy and stiff, as well as out of time.'

This came as the embattled singer raised eyebrows for leaving her hotel in Perth, Western Australia, wearing a top that left no-one in any doubt that she was bra-less.

Claims that she lip-syncs blew up in Britain in November last year when she mimed to her latest hit Womanizer on the X Factor.

And even though publicity before she started her Australian tour last week suggested she would be miming on stage again, many fans still expressed their disappointment.

Entertainment writer Rebekah Devlin's report on her and other fans' dismay over the lip-syncing has now blown up into an ugly war of words.

Miss Devlin declared 'Don't call me a liar' while Miss Spears' Australian promoter, Paul Dainty, claimed the report about fans walking out was 'the biggest lie I've ever heard'.

The writer said she had personally spoken to 25 people who walked out of the Perth performance - some as early as the third song - and while she was speaking to disgruntled fans, more and more people walked past.

She added that a security guard had commented that he had never seen so many people walk out.

Miss Devlin said that while the staging was spectacular, the dancers and acrobats incredible, in the midst of it all there was Britney 'prancing and dancing awkwardly on the stage, moving her lips with nothing coming out.'

Mr Dainty said: 'I'm so angry. We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly - that's something you have to live with - but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication.'

Thousands of Perth fans have written in to Miss Spears' personal website and to Twitter to congratulate her on her comeback, some describing the Perth performance as 'awesome', 'brilliant' and 'amazing'.

The revelation, before her tour began, that Miss Spears would be miming her songs has led to politicians in three Australian states calling for new laws to force music promoters to disclose whether a concert will be live or lip-synced.

One suggestion has been that a warning should be printed on tickets.

Miss Spears, who is travelling with her father, will perform in Melbourne on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week before flying to Sydney.

The 14-concert Australian tour finishes in Adelaide on November 29.

Amy Winehouse to sing live on Strictly Come Dancing

Amy Winehouse and her goddaughter will perform live on Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday.

In a move which risks more controversy for the BBC, troubled star is scheduled to provide backing vocals for her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield.

The teen will sing Mama Said, the first single from her new album, Introducing...

Winehouse, who is battling to overcome drink and drug addictions after a protracted holiday getting clean in St Lucia, has said that the teenager is better than she was at the same age.

It is being released through Lioness, a new record label created by Winehouse.

The 26-year-old said: I’m just so proud of her. I’m very lucky to have a record label. I’ve got all these people that I love, that are really talented – and Dionne is my number one.'

Dionne, described as an exceptional talent by the BBC, said that she and her godmother are both huge fans of Strictly Come Dancing.

She said: 'I watch it every single Saturday, so it was brilliant to find out I’ll be on TV for the first time singing on one of my favourite shows.'

The BBC is currently in the throes of a row surrounding professional dancer Anton Du Beke.

It is facing mounting pressure to axe the performer over his racist comment to partner, Laila Rouass.

Du Beke called his dance partner a 'Paki' during an exchange witnessed by 15 other people on the show.

A BBC source described Du Beke, 43, is a 'dead man dancing'.

Glamour model Katie Price has sensationally claimed that the person who raped her is a well-known celebrity.

Two weeks ago, she revealed she was raped 'more than once' when she was younger.

But now the 31-year-old has gone one step further by announcing that the perpetrator was a famous face - but she still won’t reveal their identity.

She even said ex-husband Peter Andre knows who it is - something he quickly denied

She said: 'A famous celebrity raped me and Peter knows who it was. It was years ago before I was with Pete, and my friends and family knew about it at the time.'

It's not clear if her attacker was well-known at the time or has since gone on to find fame.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Katie said she had 'no idea' why Pete would deny knowledge, adding: 'He’s not the Pete I knew any more. He’s being really cruel when he knows exactly who did it.'

Meanwhile, Peter broke down in tears last night at the launch party of his new album Revelations at Studio Valbonne in Mayfair.

After singing Unconditional to the 200-strong audience - a song dedicated to his seven-year-old stepson Harvey - he came off stage and was overcome.

A close friend told Mail Online: 'When Peter came backstage it all went a bit quiet and he started to cry. He really broke down because Harvey means so much to him.'

Peter has also revealed to New! magazine today that Jordan is still texting him to say she loves him.

Kim Kardashian has posted pictures of herself in a pair of bikinis as she shows the results of losing almost half a stone.

The reality star has been using dieting product Quick Trim, which she claims has helped her shift the weight 'fast'.

Posting the images on Twitter, the 28-year-old said: 'I lost my last 6lbs fast & toned up! Loving Quick Trim, adding: 'Quick Trim does a body good!'

Both her and her sister Khloe promote the weight-loss product.

The Quick Trim 14 day system comes with a complete diet and exercise program as well as recipes and includes a lemonade flavoured drink which the makers claim helps 'rid the body of excess water weight, belly bloating and intestinal bulk.'

Kim, star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, is famous for her abundant curves, and recently posted pictures of herself in her underwear as she filmed an advert for Quick Trim.

Just last week she went back to her roots and dyed her hair brunette after five months of sporting a blonde look.

After undergoing the transformation she tweeted: 'Loved the blonde but that is my alter ego, I am back! Feels good to be me again! I swear I was a different person with blonde hair.'

Away from the cameras Kim has been busy creating a new untitled reality TV show about PR with her friends and Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck of Command Public Relations.

According to People magazine, a pilot for the show has been shot the series is due to be made next year by the makers of reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and 'Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami.'

She said going behind the camera is 'the next step in my career'.

'I’ve always wanted to get into producing. After my reality TV show is done, the next step is producing. I definitely see myself in the producing chair.'

She said the show would 'show all the ins-and-outs or PR. It’s going to be really fun. It’ll show how there’s lots of drama and crisis in the PR world.'

Lindsay Lohan goes trout pout as she shows off pumped-up lips

There has been much speculation about what's been going on with Lindsay Lohan's lips recently.

But as the actress was spotted out and about in New York yesterday, it appeared she had taken things to new heights.

The 23-year-old's lips looked swollen, sparking speculation she could have been at the collagen again.

At one point, the Mean Girls star was seen tugging at her bottom lip, seemingly in a bid to draw attention to her trout pout.

She was wearing a black hat during her trip and continued to wear it as she went out later in the trendy Meatpacking District.

Perhaps Lindsay has given her lips a boost in order to attract attention.

In a U.S. TV interview last week she admitted she consciously decided she wanted to be in the spotlight just like her pop princess idol Britney Spears.

Lohan said: 'I think I always kind of aspired to be like Britney Spears in the tabloids when I was in middle school.

'It's kind of something you sign up for in the beginning and if you really want it, you know that comes with it.'

The star admitted she would also like to straighten out like Britney.

'I know that I'm a target and I know that I've given people a lot of reason to kind of run with things that have been said.

'I no longer intend on doing that, but I'm not perfect.'

Asked if she had any regrets Lindsay said she feels the last few years have been a learning process.

'There are things I would like to take back and I always say that, but there aren't many things that I regret doing, because I wouldn't have learned from them, and I wouldn't be where I am today.

'I think it's taken me a long time to learn how to love myself before I could love someone else too. Whether it be a best friend or family or someone that I'm in a relationship with.'

Victoria Beckham storms into Fashion Week in thigh high leather boots and a racy micro mini-dress

With fashion's elite descending on the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week, it seems Victoria Beckham was determined to make an impression.

And she certainly pulled out all the stops for an appearance at Fashion's Night Out at Bergdorf Goodman department store, a shopping event conceived by Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

The former Spice Girl arrived in this season's must have item - Gucci thigh high boots - and a Giles Deacon micro mini dress that featured a bold orange animal print.

It was a very racy ensemble for the mother-of-three, who has been working a far more conservative look in recent times with an array of carefully tailored dresses, including designs from her own collection.
She joined a host of A-list stars supporting the event across various stores around the city, including the Olsen twins, Sienna Miller, Rihanna and Gwen Stefani.

The night is designed to encourage consumer spending during New York Fashion Week.
Of course, Posh is gearing up to unveil her new DVB collection at catwalk show this weekend.

'She is feeling great,' says a source. 'Just the right mix of nerves and excitement.

'It is another strong collection comprising of her signature style dresses as well as a few more edgy surprises.'

She is also set to launch her new fragrance Signature Story with an appearance on popular American chat show The View.

And it's no surprise she plans to find time to do a bit of shopping while in the city. She said last night: 'Because I'm in New York, FAO Schwarz and toys for the kids.'

Meanwhile, her husband David was seen arriving back in Los Angeles last night after earning his 114th cap at Wembley.

England managed a 5-1 victory over Croatia, sealing qualification for next summer’s World Cup, and David is now planning to go to South Africa with the England squad in 2010.

While David has returned to LA Galaxy after his stint with AC Milan earlier this month, he is expected to return to play in Europe this January.

It's unclear if his family will remain Stateside, however Victoria has admitted that being apart was difficult.

'I felt like someone had chopped my arm off, to be completely honest,' she told America's Elle magazine.

'Everything we do, we do together. I very rarely go out on my own, unless it’s a work commitment.'

It seems things really are going swimmingly for Victoria Beckham.

The former Spice Girl, who has reinvented herself as a high-fashion style icon, appears in the pages of America's Elle magazine in a playful Fifties bikini.

The 35-year-old put her incredibly lean figure on show in the retro Diane von Furstenberg two-piece which features a sweetheart neckline and high-waisted bloomers.

But of course it wasn't without a touch of Posh - the ensemble included an outrageous oversized bow headband and of course, a pair of impractical Nina Ricci platform boots.

With a toned down tan, smokey eye make-up and lashings of red lipstick, she poses poolside with a blue umbrella.

The mother-of-three is also pictured wearing a dramatic Valentino gown with reams of tulle and in another shot she is perched on a pool lounge in one of her own designs.

In the accompanying interview, Victoria gushes about her life in the U.S.

"You know, I love America. It’s such a positive country,' she says. 'When people say to me, "How long did it take for you to adjust? Poor you, it must’ve been really difficult" – poor me? I’m living in Beverly Hills!

'I’m very, very lucky. I wake up every morning and I recognise that I’m blessed.'

But Victoria, who never favours a casual look, says she still can't get her head around American style.

'I find it odd that people will go to a nice restaurant or to the theatre in jeans and T-shirts.

'You know, it's great, David loves it. But it's very different to my personal style.

Not that she has any intention of pairing down her stylised look.

'I haven’t changed the way that I dress at all,' she continues, 'Which is probably why people stare a lot.'

She also opened up about how she coped being apart from her husband David Beckham while during his stint with AC Milan.

She is famous for her love of pink, blonde hair extensions and small dogs.

But not for her wit or wisdom.

So it must have come as something of a shock to hotel heiress Paris Hilton to find herself in the company of Oscar Wilde and Barack Obama in the latest edition of the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations.

The 28-year-old enters the prestigious tome with: ‘Dress cute wherever you go, life is too short to blend in.’

It is one of over 20,000 new quotations to enter the latest, updated edition - the seventh in the book's 65-year history – in a bid to bring in more 21st century contributions.

She joins former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin who said: ‘What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick.’

New quotes come from the likes of British authors Terry Pratchett and Philip Pullman, Stephen Hawking, Aung San Suu Kyi and late comedy host and jazzman Humphrey Lyttelton.

Some are not as new as they seem.

Barack Obama's contribution: ‘The arc of history is long but it bends towards justice' was famously similar to one used by Martin Luther King in 1968.

The dictionary also publishes, for the first time, several quotes from the past, even a 'new' one from Confucius, the 5th Century BC Chinese philosopher.

This may be because they have been used or referenced by others in recent years or that the researchers have, after years, managed to source and verify them as genuine.

Some have taken on a whole new relevance, such as former US President Thomas Jefferson who died almost 200 years ago but said: ‘Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.’

The book's editor, Elizabeth Knowles, said: ‘Events may give an older utterance very topical significance – for example, Thomas Jefferson has for obvious reasons been quoted quite widely in the last year.’

She added other quotes from the past sometimes become familiar to new audiences and much more widespread because of the internet.

She said: ‘Anything quoted today, verbally or 'written' in electronic form, can be and probably will be encountered by people all over the globe.

‘And as more data is added to online sources, more voices from the past find a route to us today.

The new edition of the dictionary reflects the impact of these changes.’
