Join the Young Architects Forum of St. Louis for our Bi-Annual Architecture License Recognition Celebration on Thursday, October 18 at 6pm!

We will be recognizing architects in the St. Louis area who have received a practicing license within the last two years (May 2016 - June 2018). All members of the architecture community are welcome.

Light appetizers, drinks, and a social hour will begin at 6pm, a brief presentation and recognition of attendees at 7pm, with a continuation of drinks and socializing until 8pm.

The event is being held at Urban Chestnut’s Midtown location at 3229 Washington Ave. Feel free to extend this invite to other newly licensed architects and other friends or colleagues in the field, but please remember to RSVP to our link so we can provide appropriate food & drink, and gifts for those who are newly licensed.

Project: BJH 3, 5 & 9 Floor Interim Bed Plan – Part of the North Campus Renewal

When: Friday, June 8th at 3:45 pm

Where: 1 Barnes Jewish Hospital Plaza, 63110

Tour Leaders: Todd Schweigert, AIA & Patrick McElveney, AIA

Tour Overview: The tour will encompass three separate floors which are currently gutted and under construction. The 9th Floor is a Neuro ICU Renovation, 5th Floor a Med/Surg Patient Division and the 3rd Floor an Observation Unit. A majority of the existing 1969/1977 structure and core will be exposed on both the 5th and 9th Floors and portions of the existing original 1912 hospital on the 3rd Floor.

Note: Plan on arriving at Barnes Jewish Hospital no later than 3:45 pm with your safety gear. Directions, parking and meeting location in the Hospital will be emailed to the RSVP’d individuals.

All participants should wear proper attire which includes; close toed hard soled shoes (no tennis shoes), pants, hard hat and safety glasses. Hard hats and safety glasses can be provided but in limited quantities.
