NATURAL GLOW

First time hearing about this brand so it is interesting in trying a new brand. The claim and ingredients does sound promising I found that this doesn't have any coverage even though it claims to have an "astonishing coverage". I'm not sure in what terms, astonishing means in their books. It's a sheer cover more like. There is only one shade available called Natural Glow. It's suited for every skin tone however it won't suit porcelain skin shades. Because it is only one shade, it doesn't counteract the undertone of the dark eye circles as everyone's is different.

It blends easily and has a thin consistency. I would say a tinted moisturiser consistency. But it does emphasises dry patches as you can see above. Also settles into fine lines. From a far, you can't see it settling but up close you can. It has left feeling the eye area smooth and soft therefore a great product to use before makeup. I have used this without makeup however I cannot comment on the longevity as I cannot see any coverage.

I don't really like this product. Have used this over time and haven't seen any difference with my dark under eye circles. Hasn't been reduced but I would use it as a makeup base for the eyes. You will have to remove this at the end of the day as it is makeup in a way. I do wonder if this is formulated for those who has slight dark eye circles. It doesn't contain any preservatives as well as silicones, mineral oils, parabens etc. 100% natural products.

The Met Ball or Met Gala is an annual event and is known as the fashion oscars. The night where celebrities dress to impress to the theme. This years theme was "punk chaos". I love themed balls/parties because you expect the unexpected with the outfits. You get subtle to outrageous, little or nothing to drowned, glam to dull. It's great to see how creative it can get and how it fits to the theme. I have selected a wide variety and put them together. Zara Office City Bag

There is a lot of hype with this bag as you guys probably know. Here is a little review to help you decide if this is the bag for you, if you're indecisive or you want to see the features.

The bag isn't made of leather. It's made of polyurethane.There are 5 compartments, 3 zipped and 2 with a magnetic clasps. The bag is lined with a gorgeous wine red shade. The middle zip compartment is for your laptop. It'll fit my 13 inch macbook easily. I would say you can fit up to 15 inches with ease. The best thing is that it is padded in both directions.

In this comparment, you have card holders, mobile phone holder and coins purse. I must say, the card holder is very useful. I can just put my train tickets and railcards there without having to reach for my purse all the time.

In this other inner compartment, there's a pocket where you can place your iPad or other tablet devices. It is also padded for the extra security. You can also put things in this compartment.

There is also an adjustable attachable shoulder strap. There isn't much padding but the extra layer does help relieve your shoulder from the weight a little bit. Bag does become heavy when you have a laptop and documents in it. The hardware is gold and it looks best on black.

Wish I bought this ages ago whilst at university. It would help me so much especially during my dissertation and exam period. It would help me be more organised. A sturdy, structured, very practical bag that can fit a heck of a lot of junk, I mean useful items. A chic looking bag and can suit every outfit choice. It is a big bag, measuring 30 x 42 x 15cm, it may look a bit big on petite ladies. I didn't find the bag as heavy when it's empty but some may find it heavy, some may not. For £49.99, it's worth it as this is my work bag since I commute to and from. This is a dupe for the Prada and Chanel bags. Now I don't have to carry my handbag and a laptop bag around anymore. I did find that there was a little trouble with the zips. Sometimes, it's not smooth when opening and closing but to be honest, the positives overcome this one negative. This bag had made my life easier. If oversized bags aren't your thing, then this won't be.

It is available in black. I have seen it available in brown however I'm unsure if they're still selling it in brown. You can purchase it instore or online.

Been ill all week so I've just been having lazy outfits. To be honest, lazy outfits are the best. Comfort over style. I'm loving wedges at the moment. Prefer it to heels due to longer comfort and also a great way to style lazy looks. Been wearing knits and people have been giving me strange looks as to why am I wearing them. Yet I'm still feeling cold.

This jumper is from Cichic. I think it looks better on the website than on. It's a high low drop shape. Haven't had a problem in terms of customer service however they do need to update their website whether an item is in stock or not as I originally chosen it in black then told it was out of stock. Then saw that blue was in stock and chosen that. Then was told that it wasn't in stock and red was the only colour left. However, they do have new items in stock daily. This reminds me of a Christmas style jumper. Think it's the red, bright red.

First time doing these what's in my bag/makeup bag. I store it in the Dior beauty bag that my auntie got me. It's small and compact to store everything that I need and into my handbag. I have:

I've seen what other ladies have carried and most of the time, I'm pretty sure it's their whole makeup collection. Or it's just a never ending bag as more and more comes out when they're reapplying in the toilets. I use to carry just my eyelash glue, eyeliner and lip balm. Never bothered with blotting paper. Now I use it and get paranoid if my face has a greasy shine few hours later.

BEST GREY LENSES

I am not exaggerating on this being the best grey lenses I've tried so far. It isn't too light or too dark, a good shade. They will cover brown eyes nicely. Due to the pattern in the centre circle, it does try to blend in. Nowadays, I don't look for enlargement as a factor. I prefer natural looking sizes. These are 14mm in diameter which is a natural size for a little bit of enlargment. There is a dark grey, limbal ring around the contacts. It's not thick therefore it won't give you those dolly eyed look which can be creepy.

Out in the sun, they look gorgeous giving you the halo effect. My images doesn't demonstrate this however believe me, it does. The shine and makes your eyes pop. I have been asked if my eye colour were naturally grey and have been complimented many of times. However in indoor and artificial lighting, it looks like a dark grey, black. The only improvement I would say about this is to make it a tad lighter and then it'll be the perfect lenses for me.

Comfort wise, I have worn these for 6-8 hours. Didn't cause my eyes to dry out until at the end of the 6-8 hours which doesn't bother me as that's when I take my makeup off. My eyes sometimes get dry from wearing these however use contact eye drops helps rehydrate the lenses for extra comfort. If you want a natural colour change, I wouldn't say these are the one for you because of the limbal ring.

Dirty Works Bye Bye Dark Circles

CONCEAL AND CORRECT

I've never heard of Dirty Works before and the style of this brand reminds me of Soap and Glory. From what I am aware, it is only available in Sainsbury's. Love the packaging of this. A little ice cube in your makeup bag. Great to pop into your bag. The most interesting feature of this is that it contains two shades for you to individually use or to mix the two together. You have the yellow based undertone (best suited for blue undertone dark eye circles) and peack, salmon based undertone (best suited for purple untone dark eye circles). It contains vitamin E and aloe vera to sooth and moisturise the area but I couldn't feel any difference.

One touch of this and the product melts easily onto your fingers. It's very creamy and blendable but it does need powder to set it otherwise it'll slip off. I do find that using brushes is a lot better than your fingers. It is buildable and can give a good medium coverage however will cake if you keep applying it. This does cover a good amount and brightens the area however it did melt after a few hours and I looked a mess as it did make my eyeliner smudge. Cream products and oily skin doesn't really go well together. Better suited for dry undereye.

I haven't used it on blemishes as I am afraid of it making me break out more. This is a good concealer for beginners and does suit many skin types however not both ends of the spectrum. There is a weird smell. Hard to describe. I personally don't like this as there are way better concealers out there for the same price.

Commuting to and from work maybe a cheaper option but not good when you're ill. Eurgh. These sunglasses are awesome! Probably the first pair that looks good on me. I've tried many different style over the years and none of them seem to suit me. Will do close ups and a review of them soon.

The Zara bag is a lifesaver especially since I commute. It's my new love. Fits everything I need without having to carry other bags. Love love love! I can do close ups of this bag if you're contemplating on purchasing one or not sure if it will fit everything in. Just let me know!

Before you say anything, I didn't wear this out! I got bored and decided to play dress up with some new clothes. I personally wouldn't wear this cute top out during the day. It's too revealing and much for the public eye. I would wear it more on a night out to the bar or clubs instead. Would wear it to a festival too.

I have received this skirt from Cichic. It is made of wool material so it is thick. This type of material is great for Autumn, Winter and Spring. Can be a bit too thick for Summer (if UK does get a summer). But can guarantee that this skirt won't fly up in the wind! The skirt is structured a bit too well. It doesn't fall naturally around the hips, puffs out a bit but it doesn't bother me much. Got some other lovely, less revealing tops to go with this. So versatile. A basic staple to brighten your wardrobe.

BERRY RED

About time I've actually tried this lipstick. This is the first red shade I actually like and isn't too right in your face like the Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang. I thought the colour would be a deeper, berry, plum shade. However the colour payoff makes up for it. One swipe and it's very pigmented, opaque but leaves a nice stain on the lips after it fades. You can lightly dab it on to give a stain look if you wanted to. It has cool undertones and it will flatter most skin tones. It brings warmth to your face without washing it out.

The formula is creamy and applies smoothly. Hard to outline the lips without a lipliner. The lipstick smudges easily after it's applied yet lasts a good 4/5 hours after blotting. The colour does come off a bit after eating and drinking but I guess that's normal. It doesn't really give a matte finish, more of a semi matte, satin finish. I have applied this over lip balm and had found that it clings onto the dry patches. Scrubbing the lips beforehand is definitely needed. It is a tad drying over the hours even after a good lip balm.

I do like the packaging. Bright red and stands out in my lipstick collection. I'm not too keen on the floral, fruity smell as it smells quite artificial and is overpowering but that doesn't put me off using it. The smell will fade afterwards. I would wear this during spring and summer. I do recommend this shade and the lipstick itself but if your lips are very dry, I wouldn't say that this is a good one for you due to the formula.

DEEP DETOX

I haven't been doing masks for properly for months purely because of laziness and don't have time to wait 20 minutes average nowadays, however this has become a new staple in my skin care routine. It is a grey, with a green tinge, cream with a thick yet light texture. It is thinner compared to other clay masks I own. It actually smells nice. The scent isn't superior. Product is jam packed with Salicylic Acid, Dead Sea Mud, Avocado Oil and Vitamins A, D and E.

It has a tingling, cool feeling when applied on cleansed skin, nothing uncomfortable. Applies smoothly and it works instantly. You only leave this on for 5 minutes and over time, it'll start to dry up and tighten where some of the product turns clear-ish. It doesn't crack after 5 minutes. I swear you can see some tiny dark spots on the mask where the excess oils and dirt have been drawn out of the pores or I'm just imagining things. If I has to use this in the shower, I would leave it on longer but stick to the recommended time as stated if used in a non steamy environment.

It washes off easily with warm water or warm water on a flannel, leaving my skin feeling soft, refreshed, deep cleaned, detoxed and clarified. I can see this product help spots too as it pulls the impurities from deep within. It has helped a little bit with blackheads but nothing dramatic.

This isn't drying whatsoever as it does have avocado oil but if you have dry and sensitive skin, I don't recommend this. Wouldn't say it's very hydrating. I would purchase this for £8.99. Worth it. It is available online and at Boots.

CONTROLS OIL

You're all probably sick of all the Bioderma reviews so far. Last one till after a few other reviews. Sebium Global is the first skin care product that biologically treats the causes and consequences of severe blemishes.

It has a smooth, light texture which is absorbed into the skin quickly without leaving any residue or greasy feeling. I have applied this morning and night and it has reduced the inflammation of many of my spots. It has a cool cucumber, melon like scent then leaves a weird after scent once absorbed into the skin but it will disappear quickly. The oil control of this product is beautiful, wait that doesn't make sense. It is AMAZING when used in conjunction with the Sebium purifying and foam wash. Controlled my oil throughout the whole day. I was so impressed by this, even my mum had noticed.

I didn't find it hydrating to the skin as it did leave it feeling a bit tight on my cheeks rather than soft. I think that the skin tightness was the cause for having a breakout on my chin after a few days during my week trial. I had even adjusted it to once a day and I didn't really see much improvement, still drying. I would say that this is best suited for if you have oily skin all around rather than combination. The formula is formulated for acne prone skin which I don't have and I did find it harsh on my skin and caused me to breakout more rather than eliminate spots. This states that it elimates blackheads however I didn't see a difference. I wouldn't say that this is a good makeup base for me.

I wouldn't repurchase this again. For now, I will just use this on my t-zone or when I'm the most oilest. Combination skin, this isn't the one for you. Currently trying out the Sebium AKN and it works better.

The Perception of Beauty

This video has been shared around twitter etc for the past week and thought I'd share it as well. This is an interesting and beautiful video showing the difference between our own perception of ourself, compared to how others see us. The differences are seen on paper rather than listening to them, which we do not absorb in. We see the flaws, every little detail where others cannot. We all have our own definition of beauty and we shouldn't let that overcome us to change every single bit of us. Easy said than done however there is always that first step even if it takes you ages.

This is a really cute, basic dress however not much of a lace design but that doesn't matter. Fitted at the top then loosens as it drops. I would say it's more of a fitted skater style dress. Figure flattering. It is a must have in everyone's wardrobe. You can dress it casually or for a night out. It's versatile. This piece actually brightens my wardrobe up and probably my most feminine clothing piece I own. When I first received this, I looked at it and thought that it wouldn't fit. Looked tiny. However it fits fine. It is only one size so I would say it would fit a size 10 and below. Thank you Sheinside.

I'm not very girly and ended up dressing it with the leather jacket which I received as a birthday present. Thank you! Now I look like a girly rock chick. You will probably see more of this jacket in my outfits to come.

Tattoo tights have been everywhere on the bloggersphere. Finally got myself a pair. The design of these are quite simple and is an alternative to getting a tattoo as many of my friends have tattoo thigh/ankle bracelets. Cute tights but it doesn't match my skin tone but it does make me look a bit tanned!

Went to see Wang Lee Hom on Monday in London and boy oh boy was he amazing. Having a pretty good week this week. Nice catchup with a coursemate, few surprises. Ah, now for a relaxing weekend. Hope you're all having a lovely week!

Looks easy and makes you baffled as to how it works. However, this costs £177. Expensive or what? I have never owned a pair of GHD hair straighteners and find the price of them and this quite extortionate. I actually barely curl my hair as I look like a *insert inappropriate phrase/word* with curled hair. Doesn't suit me but it does look pretty in general. You can purchase it online here.
