Style is only a part of her attractive qualities. M-720’s Fiberglass hull utilizes U.S. Navy-style construction with hull and deck plate forming an integrated structural element – “box-beamed.” It’s cored fiberglass encapsulating high-density foam core below the waterline and end grain balsa core above the waterline. The deck-plate utilizes tubular aluminum rails, mechanically fastened and laminated to the hull sides around the entire circumference. Hull bottom is molded with Knytex substrates; sandblasted in preparation for bottom paints to assure adherence and eliminate the “peeling effect.”

Aft of the helm on the fly deck, an ultra-leather lounge accommodates at least six adults, plus three comfortably at the curved, multi-level stand-up bar. The entire design is soft-molded, with no corners. An attractive, monogrammed-accent stainless steel gate separates the lounging area from the rear deck and the entire deck is non-skid with optional waterproof carpet. Taking a tactile tour, it's quickly evident the flydeck is robust in nature. From the materials chosen to the engineering and installation, this is well-conceived flybridge.

Hargrave 84'

So what's everyone talking about? A Raised Pilothouse , minus the wheelhouse, sorta speak. Yes, a control station is still present, but it's taken a side seat to open air vistas and views that are unmatched by any raised pilothouse from the past. To the untrained eye, exterior styling and lines make the new 84' look similar to other yachts in the 100+ foot range, including full pilothouse windows. Closer scrutiny reveals a departure from other Hargrave yachts with an emphasis on grand living accommodations and wide open spaces.

Hargrave heard the call from clients who wanted a raised pilothouse yacht that could be handled by a couple. In most circumstances, exceeding 70 feet in length means adding a helping hand. So, Hargrave did a design study in conjunction with Ted Black, along with some underwriting support from a private owner and the 84 Hargrave RPH was born, along with a whole new RPH concept. But, more on this later...

Up high on the flybridge, creature comforts are under the fiberglass “hardtop” which has a built-in convertible soft top that retracts forward, offering a more open-air feeling for soaking up rays or watching the stars. It opens right behind the helm, keeping the captain shaded and not frying in the sun. The 21-foot beam allows for a wide bridge deck, which also extends aft sufficiently to store a 15-ft Nautica Tender (with 90 hp Yamaha four-stroke outboard) and a Quicklift 2,000 lb electric davit.

The flybridge helm is chock full of space for full electronics and a chart or two. The layout includes Caterpillar engine displays flanked by two Furuno Navnet plotters running Nobeltec chart software. Raymarine displays for depth, speed, temp and wind logs; a Simrad auto pilot, dual ICOM radios (one a regular VHF, the other a remote Command Mic which offers full radio functions and wired to the ICOM VHF at the lower station), Bennett trim tab indicator, bow thruster joystick, remote spotlight controls and a few other electronics. The absence of most switches and breakers, which are located at the lower station, keeps the upper helm dash uncluttered and resistant to the elements.

Smuggler's Cove is quite possibly the most private beach on Tortola, outside of the several uninhabited sandy islands with no amenities at all. The people of the Virgin Islands frown on public nudity. Save that for another time. Aleutian Yachts launched a $6 million, 92-foot yacht into the Blair Waterway. The luxury boat – which took Aleutian more than two years to build – has five bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, a sky lounge and a full-time crew of four including the captain and a chef.

“Everything is top end,” said Greg Ward, CEO of Aleutian Yachts, which is now headquartered in the port’s Earley

Business Center at the tip of the Blair-Hylebos Peninsula. The company is one of several being displaced by the Port of Tacoma’s plans to develop new shipping terminals on the east side of the Blair Waterway.

The yacht’s new owners, Raymond and Sally Duncan, and Sally’s mother, christened the vessel early Tuesday morning with champagne and a bottle of cabernet. The first was tradition and the latter was fitting – it’s the name of the boat. The Duncans are founders of Silver Oak Cellars, a winery in California. They are also involved in the oil business, according to the Silver Oaks Web site.

If you tough that yachting and sailing are 'hobbies' just for those rich ones, beeep :) you are in wrong! Thanks to yacht charter , everybody can be 'in paradise' for at least few days. Here, I decided to write about that, because found out that many people think that yachts and life related to them is just for 'chosen' :) Belive me if you have an average salairy that wouldn't be problem to feel another kind of life,like I said for at least few days.
