My husband creeped out a few days ago and I could hear power tools and saws and such.
I had no ides what her was doing out there.
Imagine my surprise when he came in the house with this:

Crocheted a quick square out of rope. 40 mm hook. That is bigger than a size Z!
Hey, now I can crochet him that hammock he has been wanting.

Tatting...

2012-12-01T22:36:00.000-08:00

I thought I had never seen any tatted work before.

I have heard of it.
My mom has a blanket that her grandmother started making but she was never able to finish it.

My husband looked up tatting one day for and he found the most awesome website.
Handy Hands is so awesome!!

They have a how-to on their website and it has detailed pictures.

With little, okay some, cussing, I figured it out.

Now I love it.

I have lots more practice to do but it is awesome.

And my husband, not to be out done, made me this giant tatting needle. It works great for yarn!

Now I just have to figure out how to shuttle tat!!

Baby boys

2012-12-01T22:29:00.002-08:00

I love them so much!! I even have 2! Well, they are not really babies anymore. One is 2 and the other is 4 now.
Geeze, they grow up too quickly.

This little ensemble was not theirs. But I made it for my store on Etsy.
It is for newborns. Comes with the cardigan, hat, booties and the no-scratch mittens.

How many Granny Squares?

2012-12-01T22:24:00.001-08:00

A little over 3000!!!!!!

That is how many granny square it will have to make for a blanket to cover our bed.

They are little bity 2 inch ones.

I think they are cute and work up SUPER fast.

82 down. 3000 to go :)

Great way to use up my scraps!

A Couple New Things

2012-04-24T18:41:00.002-07:00

Awesome t-shirt yarn crochet rug!

I figured out this pattern by looking at pictures online and this thing is so soft an comfy under the toes. I need it to be bigger. Working on this. :)

Beautiful dark purple and white triangle shawl with a braided border. I wish that I had a finished picture of this. I sent it out to my Granny before I could snap any.

Bracelets

2011-11-04T03:19:00.000-07:00

I have decided to start making some very simple bracelets out of some left over yarn. These are cute and they are super easy to make.

Odd Ball

2011-11-04T03:05:00.000-07:00

Or yarn ball is what my boys know it by! And for some reason they love this thing. I messed up on a few circles while making the blanket for Michael. I stitched them all together and I came up with this odd little ball. The little puffs on it a great sized to fit in Jonathan's hands. He loves it.

Scarves

2011-11-04T03:00:00.000-07:00

Scarves for my boys. I knitted the brown colored one on the top for my oldest son, Michael. The one on the botom is for my youngest son, Jonathan.

Finally Finished

2011-11-04T02:51:00.000-07:00

Finally got Jason's house shoes done. YAY!!!!! Both the left and the right. All done. He is in love with them. Our 3 year old, Michael, think they are really cool.

Still on These

2011-11-03T15:51:00.000-07:00

Still working on these house shoes for Jason. I am very nearly done with the second shoe. I have one more piece to make before I can start putting it all together. Almost there!!

Mocassins For Jason

2011-11-02T15:15:00.000-07:00

Mocassins for Jason
He wanted socks. I said 'hmmm, never made those' So after staring and starting over about 2 dozen times. I said 'no, not making socks. How would you like Mocissins Babe?' So, I have one done now and the other is about 1/3 the way there.

Blanket for Michael

2011-11-02T15:09:00.000-07:00

Still making this. It is a "Dots" blanket for my 3 year old Michael. He went to Walmart with his Granny and they picked out this cammo color. I knew right then that it would look good a a granny square. It did, but I got mad at the squares and just decided t make little star burst circles from the middle of my pattern.

I have been doing all sorts of things in between making these circles.
