Moon in Cancer: The Moon clashes with Saturn today which sounds like a bad thing but can actually be rather productive. If someone upsets you, look at it as a chance to change things around. Sometimes it’s as though the planets clash and cause upsets just in order to prod and push us into doing something to change a situation which is not serving our Highest Self. If you know there are some issues which need resolving, have a go today. And if the day is a bit of a drag, end it (and the week) by thinking about all you have to be grateful for, to balance out any negative energy. I just had an email from a reader on my Facebook page which read: “I am compelled to ask as I have had so many friends whose marriages are breaking up at the moment ….is there something happening astrologically??”

The obvious answer is two-fold. For one thing, we have Venus Retrograde. That’s the rare reverse cycle of Venus which makes us all stand back and quite dispassionately ask ourselves how much our lover/partner/spouse means to us.

If the answer is, actually not that much, of course, break ups follow. There is also a sense under Venus Retrograde that we are weighing up how much we are getting versus how much we are giving. And once again, if the answers come back and we’re not happy with them, it’s a time when people decide they ain’t gonna give no more, if you’ll pardon the Country &
Western twang.

Added to this we are in the eclipse season, which is when we decide to do what we know is right for our soul’s evolution towards enlightenment. If you know you are not on the right path with your partner, the electric energy of the eclipses can give the impetus to break free.

But the news doesn’t have to be bad – not at all. In fact, some people now will be realising that they have not been giving enough in their relationships. And this is the time to redress that. Others will realise better just how blimmin’ lucky they are with their beloved, and go into a state of gratitude.

Hang on to your hats; here comes the new-Moon eclipse.

If you want to change your life, the time is ripe. And if you take no action? Well, that’s actually a tricky question.

In my opinion, astrology gives us an idea of what the time is right for. It’s like a cosmic clock. Thousands of years of observing eclipses have taught us new-Moon eclipses bring new starts.

However, if you just sit there and wait for something new to start, chances are nothing much will happen.

However, if you have the intention to start something new, and you do it around the time of the new-Moon eclipse, look out, world!

If we know we need a new start but we are fighting it, quite often the eclipse season is when things seem to be changed for us.

Relationship you won’t put up with anymore? Hate your job? It’s time to say goodbye.

Eclipses are not to be feared. In fact, once you have had an eclipse seemingly deconstruct your life and put it back together, the energy can be addictive. But you need to work with it, not against it – that means moving on from the past and whatever you know is done and dusted, like it or not.

The new-Moon eclipse is on Monday at 9.47am. Make a wish just afterwards.
