I’d like to thank everyone who is beta testing the site. The feedback is truly appreciated. I thought a little history for the first post was appropriate……

Back Story

Year round rental property has been a part of my life for three decades. In 1980 my family bought a business and mixed use building in East Falmouth on Cape Cod, MA. The convenience store business and apartment we lived in were located on the first floor. Two additional apartments were above. Within a matter of months we were demolishing walls and modernizing the unit we lived in. We renovated each unit throughout the early 1980′s and then continuously as needed after that. I learned everything necessary to renovate, manage and maintain a year round rental, investment property from a very early age. After high school I rented a unit in the property, after college my wife and I bought the property. We renovated every aspect of the property again and sold the property in 2008.

How YearRoundRentals.com Began

In 2002 we had just finished renovating one of the second floor apartments. It had nice finished hard wood floors and antique molding, new paint and we vaulted one the bedrooms ceilings to the studs. It was beautiful. To attract tenants we had a window sign, three line in the local newspaper and Craigslist ads. None of those options could communicate the features and benefits effectively, had a short shelf life or required constant maintenance….not to mention I was traveling 30 minutes to and from the place. It was this experience that inspired me to create YearRoundRentals.com in 2003.

Upon its completion the site was state of the art, providing structured details, pictures, freestyle description, map, secure email and a custom search engine for Cape Cod and Islands long term rental community. It was very successful for me and countless others.

Today

From 2003 to the present I maintained YearRoundRentals.com but have not made the incremental improvements it deserves, until now. Today, renting year round is more popular than ever. I recently employed a talented group of professionals to redesign YearRoundRentals.com and the team is very excited announce Year Round Rentals.com is re-launching in January 2012.
