The painting of Christian Jequel is impregnated with ecology, with respect for nature. In his pictures no cars, no concrete, no supermarkets but bikes, shady places, openair markets. Its topics are filled with purity, eternity: the sea, the fields of lavenders, the harvests, the horses… For him the earth it is the nourishing mother whom it is necessary to respect. He remained faithful to this vision. However it was not easy in this time deliberately turned to hard modernism.

Painter of the biodiversity he is the witness of the world in mutation. Its pictures could be use as models for the resurgence of big balances: coast-fishing, pedestrianized zones, aromatic plants (lavenders), chimney fires, natural culturales methods .
The place of honour is given to the man, to his traditions, to friendliness. The painting of Christian Jequel is in complete harmony with nature and in this sense it is a very current artist.

The Ottoman Empire or Ottoman State Modern Turkish: Osmanlı İmparatorluğu, Osmanlı Devleti or Osmanoğulları Ülkesi), also known by its contemporaries as the Turkish Empire or Turkey, was an Islamic empire that lasted from 1299 to November 1, 1922 (as an imperial monarchy) or July 24, 1923. It was succeeded by the Republic of Turkey, which was officially proclaimed on October 29, 1923.

At the height of its power, it spanned three continents, controlling much of Southeastern Europe, Western Asia and North Africa.[8] The Ottoman Empire contained 29 provinces and numerous vassal states, some of which were later absorbed into the empire, while others gained various types of autonomy during the course of centuries. The empire also temporarily gained authority over distant overseas lands through declarations of allegiance to the Ottoman Sultan and Caliph, such as the declaration by the Sultan of Aceh in 1565; or through the temporary acquisitions of islands in the Atlantic Ocean, such as Lanzarote (1585).[9]

The empire was at the centre of interactions between the Eastern and Western worlds for six centuries. With Constantinople as its capital city, and vast control of lands around the eastern Mediterranean during the reign of Suleyman the Magnificent (ruled 1520 to 1566), the Ottoman Empire was, in many respects, an Islamic successor to the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire.

Born in 1980, and as far as i can remember i have always drawn… but on paper. I studied archeology and history of arts, then i went to a game design school (for 2 years), which just was not my thing. I discovered Photoshop in 2005, since then i have became addicted to it. All subjects are interest, they just have to talk to me, but fantasy and dreamy subjects are my favorites.

Charles L. Peterson was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois. His childhood was a happy mix of life in that small city and many long visits to his grandparent’s rural Illinois farm. He was the third son of Swedish immigrants who stressed values such as hard work, honesty and duty to one’s community that strongly influence his life to this day. He fondly remembers his childhood being filled with sandlot baseball games, delivering papers on his bicycle, and being very involved in the Boy Scouts achieving Eagle Scout status and leading a contingent of scouts trained in American Indian dance to the Jamboree in Paris France. He was an excellent student and participated in a wide variety of activities including wrestling, band, drama performances and student council president. He was particularly fond of outdoor activities and spent many a summer corralling horses and canoeing at Camp Big Timber. Beyond all of this though, Chick (his lifelong nickname) found a great deal of satisfaction in expressing himself through drawings and although he didn’t begin to dream of his love of drawing as a viable career until many years later, it was with these first drawings, mostly of horses, cowboys, and Indians, that his interest in painting began.

Sexual Color Photographic exhibition, research laboratory of images and interaction with people, re-reading of famous and sexy bodies. Choose one of these labels (or all at once) and apply on Sexual Color of Gabriel Wickbold, work scheduled to be shown in the second half of 2010, in New York. Pointing his lenses and projecting his pop light on a mixture of materials, organic or inorganic, onto human skin, the young, 25 year old photographer from São Paulo, reaches an unique way of seeing sexuality, covering to strip. He explains: “The paint is a protection and at the same time revealing. It covers a woman, but in character, reveals itself.” To achieve this effect, Brazilian personalities such as Adriane Galisteu, Fernanda Paes Leme, Didi Wagner, Natalia Rodrigues, Fernanda Souza, Adriana Bombom, Barbara Koboldt, and Carla Fiorito, undressed (the majority for the first time) and had their beautiful forms covered with chocolate, gouache, airbrush paint, synthetic hair, coconut vines, sand and makeup, not necessarily in that order. Dismissing stereotypes, Sexual Color reinvents and exports the Brazilian beauty in a format that you have never seen. Check it out and participate.
