Beauty Credit Lovely Q10 Two Way Cake Moist Review

I have been reserving this review for quite a long time because I wanted to make sure I give myself enough time to test it out. I bought my Lovely Q10 Two Way Cake Moist when I went to Subic last year and I got to using it just the latter part of December for I’m trying to finish up other products that I own.

Beauty Credit is a Korean brand and they have a couple of stalls here in Metro Manila. I have been going gaga over Korean and Japanese brands recently. I feel like they have really good powders and foundations. I also have the Lovely Q10 Liquid Foundation Mat and I am head over heels in love with it! Since I don’t usually use liquid foundation, I had to buy a powder compact for my eveyrday use.

I mentioned in my video that I initially wanted to purchase the Two Way Cake Mat, however it was out of stock. So I settled for the Moist variant. I really wanted to get this because when I tried it out (before purchasing), I thought that it gave really nice medium coverage.

It’s also a big PLUS that the packaging is really really cute! The compact comes with a sponge and a mirror. And you can also buy refills. In fact I actually bought another refill of this. It's very easy to replace.

I got the shade #23 or Natural Beige and actually this is the darkest shade that they have. I’m not really that dark, I’m a MAC NC30. So I think that’s one problem that some people may encounter if you want to purchase this.

So here is a photo when I used it:

Even though it’s the Moisturizing variant and not the matte variant, it did not make me oil up too much. I think that Matte version “may” be better in terms of keeping oilies at bay, but this still didn’t make me look greasy! I had to retouch once because we were going to take photos and I did not want to risk any oiliness.

Here are photos when I got home, after 5-6 hours after application with just 1 retouching of sheer powder:

I’m quite impressed. Again this is the Moist variant so it’s intended for normal to dry skin. But it worked quite well for me. I would still want to try the matte variant just so I can compare. But honestly, I’m really really happy I bought this and bought a refill! I love the coverage because it’s not too heavy. It’s a good everyday powder foundation for people who need coverage. As for me, I only wear this when the occasion calls for it since I don’t need a lot of coverage anyways. But I like the fact that it makes my skin smooth looking!

Meet & Greet ItsJudyTime

If you are a follower on twitter or if you liked my facebook page, you probably have seen me tweet and post about the Meet and Greet with Judy of ItsJudyTime. I have to say I was ecstatic when I learned that she was holding another M&G in Manila and I made sure I was present!

I'll be making a video about the Meet & Greet and to show you the things that we received but since I haven't done that just yet- here's my blog about it. I'll just edit and embed the video once it's up!

The Meet & Greet was held at Red Mango in SM Mall of Asia and I think I've said this in twitter, I don't go to SM MOA. Well for one thing, it's really really really far from where I live. It takes about 2 hours just to go to the mall. Secondly, I find it to be too warm. There's just so many people and there are only parts of the mall that's airconditioned. However, since it's Judy we are talking about, I made an exception. I dragged my husband along with me. :p

When Judy came, she looked so adorable- exactly what I was expecting. I have always thought that she's so sweet. And she did not disappoint, she was super sweet and down to earth. And Benji was this supportive husband, standing beside her and letting her do her thing.

We were asked to introduce ourselves and then we were given a chance to ask Judy whatever. We asked her things about her personal life, about beauty, makeup, what she was wearing that night, vlogging and youtube stuff. She was so gracious and she answered every single one!

After the Q&A portion, Judy said that she had some goodies for us. NYX sponsored some products! Yeeey! And mind you, most of the products that were in the bag aren't available in the Philippines (or at least that's what I think). :p

Benji decided to make it a game. They would ask questions and we have to answer them. Some questions were pretty basic especially if you are really subscribed and follow their videos regularly. But some were quite tricky too!

Smokey Silver Ready for Prom

Hi everyone! Do you know that Valentines is fast approaching? I actually haven't done any videos for that specifically. Eep! I hope I'll be able to squeeze at least two videos for a back to back series once again. :) If you have any request, do let me know and post it in my Facebook page and I'll get right to it as soon as I can.

Here's another smokey look, this time working with silver shades! I decided to make this tutorial in time for prom because I know that a lot of young girls like the smokey look and I feel like it doesn't have to be too dark as this will only make you look more mature. Have fun with this look! I actually like this look because I find it to be wearable even during day time. What do you think?

Hey everyone! I have so many stories and activities to share with you. My internet is quite sucky though, so I'm really really struggling to do blogs and even upload my videos. I went to several events last wee and even met Judy of ItsJudyTime with her husband Benji! All of those I would be talking about in the next couple of blogs. I also plan to do a video regarding the Meet & Greet and show you what she gave us!

Anyways for now, let me share with you another FOTD. I call this "Sweet & Pretty" because it's fairly natural looking with soft lips and just a hint of pink for that sweet blushed like look. I wore this look when I met up with my girls when my friend Diana went home for her Christmas vacation.

What I Received for Christmas 2011

Snoe Fizzy Clean

Hi everyone! And as I'm typing this, I have a box of facial tissue beside me. No, it's not because I'm sad but because I'm sick- which also makes me sad. Anyways, I think a lot of people are sick nowadays. My husband suffered from coughs for a month and he's now getting better. And now it's my turn to get sick. Boo.

I don't like getting sick. It's so unproductive and it's not like when you stay home and relax, you can actually relax; with all the problems you'd think of because you're not at work or because you're stuck. This is probably one of the reasons why I am so OC with my hands. I also think I get it from my dad. He would always always wash his hands a long time and soap his hands and keep soaping until there's already a soapy white film enveloping his hands. Whatever it is, I know and doctors always preach that we can get sickness and virus anywhere and washing our hands could help decrease chances of getting sick.

Another product from Snoe Beauty that I received during the bloggers event was Fizzy Clean. It's a hand sanitizer with a twist. :) I love the Green Tea scent! This is probably one of my most favorite products that I received because of my OCness and its usefulness.

Overall this is a good product to keep in your bags at all times! I just wish the sticky feeling will be lessened next time. :)

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

If you're a subscriber of mine in my youtube channel, you probably have watched my November Haul last year and one of the products that I bought was the Proof 10 Eye Primer of Etude House. I actually even said that I give it a 2.5 out of 3 rating.

Well now that I have already tried and tested it several times in several occasions, I think I can now give it a much better review compared to my mini review in my video.

Proof 10 Eye Primer

Packaging: I find that it's better than Urban Decay Primer Potion in terms of packaging because it's easier to scoop out the product. Hopefully the product won't dry just like my UDPP. Oh well time will tell.

Consistency: Although I haven't had the chance to take a photo of the wand and the consistency of the primer, Proof 10 is more watery unlike UDPP which is creamier. It doesn't really bother me as I think that it's actually easier to blend and move around.

Color Vibrancy: It does help make the eyeshadow more vibrant especially colored ones.

Now I timed my makeup and after 12 hours of no retouching of my eye makeup, here's the result:

As you can probably tell, the color is still there and it did not crease. But since I have really oily lids, the inner corners of my eyes have already started to oil up. It's not very evident but it still shows especially for close up photos like these.

Overall, I think this is a good product and I'm so sure that this is enough for other women. But I still find that it's not the best for me and I still feel that UDPP is my HG eye primer. But I would probably try a different brand when I finish this just so I can try others as well. Don't worry I'll report them to you. :p

Nano Fine by Fine Living Essentials

Now that it's the first month of the year, why not try a new skin care brand? Well that's what I had in mind so I decided to give a new line that I received last year a try.

I received three products from the Nano Fine Line which is imported from Japan. I actually like Japanese skin care and makeup products. So when I got these products, I already felt that this might be a good line and when I learned more about it, I realized that Nano Fine is actually a luxurious brand.

I received some items from the Travel Set of Nano Fine.

Skin Lotion | Milk Lotion | Essence

I was able to use this for a couple of weeks and to be honest, I didn't really know how to use the products because there were no instructions or manual that was given to me. So I decided to ask Fine Living Essentials and I was instructed the following:

Nano Skin Lotion:
Revitalizes and stimulates the renewal of skin. Natural active ingredients such as nano-capsule Coenzyme Q10, nano capsule vitamin E, nano-capsule ceramide, and job’s tears extract moisture and nourish skin.

After washing and cleansing the face with your cleanser of choice, apply skin lotion on a cotton pad and massage it on the face.

The milk lotion, they said, acts like a toner. Although as compared to my other toners, I find that this product doesn't remove as much dirt from my face. On the other hand, since it's lotion- at this point, the face already feels moisturized as it is.

Essence:
It contains an abundance of nano-capsulated placenta and rose extract. Hydrates and improves the natural transparency of skin. Skin becomes moist and radiant.

Apply a small amount of product on you skin (forehead, nose, chin and cheeks) and gently massage it on the face.

This is actually my favorite product out of the three. It's serum type and is very concentrated. When I apply it, I immediately feel that my face is smoother right away.

Nano Milk Lotion:
The ingredients penetrate quickly into skin and moisture skin. This lotion is smooth, spreads well and leaves skin feeling refreshed. The encapsulated ingredients keep skin gentle all day long.

Apply on the 5 areas after essence. This is equivalent to our moisturizers. The only difference is you could see right away that it gives the face a "glow." I also pull it a little bit on the neck to give my neck a little more moisture and hydration.

I love the fact that these products are hypoallergenic and it doesn't give you any break outs. (My huge pimple by the way is not because of these products). I highly recommend this to those people with sensitive and problematic skin.

I also think that this is a nice gift. It's very travel friendly too! So if you are wondering how I welcomed the New Year, I sure did with glowing and beautiful skin! Thanks to Nano Fine!

Why I Have Been MIA!

I know I've been bad. Not blogging for so long. I think I am having withdrawals- seriously. There's just one reason why I have been MIA recently and it's because I've been sooo busy lately. Well, my husband got sick last week, (he's been sick since the 24th of December and he's still coughing!) so I had to take charge of work to be done and our errands. I'm usually in the car and I don't really enjoy blogging via my iPod or Galaxy Tab (though they are very helpful for short blogs!).

Also, I got back to another passion of mine- dancing. I started going back to the gym and went for a total of 4 times in a week. I hope I can maintain that or go at least 3x. Anyways, I would join classes to work out and also get back to my dancing. I've loved dancing way before I discovered my love for makeup. I started dancing when I was a kid and would choreograph dances for school when I was in elementary and college.

And now that I'm older, I decided to continue via classes in my gym. I would go to the gym and when I get home which is usually already in the evening, I'm too tired or just want to rest or watch tv or snuggle with my husband. Then again I know it's not an excuse. I know I'll be able to adjust to my new routine. :)

I've got some events lined up and a makeup gig so I know I'll be busy again. But don't fret! I'll definitely be sharing all of those and more when I get back! :p

Simply Glam Tutorial

Yahoo Yabu!

I love discovering new restaurants, whether they be fine dining, casual dining or even fast food. My husband and I both enjoy eating and being a foodie that I am, I am always on the look out for new and interesting restaurants and food.

One of the restaurants I recently chanced upon is Yabu. I have been hearing so many reviews and good stuff from Twitter. I have already eaten twice and I have to say that both times, I'm very much satisfied.

We ordered some appetizers, seaweeds and potato salad.

Appetizers

My friends and husband enjoyed the seaweed. It's a little sweetened. I am not a big fan of seaweeds but I tasted this and it was okay. The potato salad was my order. I have to say that I like World Chicken's potato salad better.

Rosu Katsu Set

We ordered their famous katsu set. We chose pork (although I have already eaten chicken as well) The meat is so friggin tender! Haha! So juicy and one set is so filling! I also am so in love with their rice! It tasted sooo good! It's crunchy outside but tender inside! I loved the chicken katsu more though. But both have the same side dishes.

Now in Yabu, you get to make your own sauce! They gave us sesame seeds to grind and we can add the sauce afterwards.

After grinding the sesame, slowly add the sauce and mix them together to taste HEAVEN! :p

We also ordered Chicken Katsudon set.

Chicken Katsudon

It's donburi, meaning the rice is under the katsudon. The main difference of this and the katsu is that this has egg on top. This also tasted heavenly! The same rice that I love so much and the meat was just so tender!

Both sets were served with miso soup, japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage, and fruits. I know the photos don't do justice. It just means that you have to try it yourself. :p

Now here's another reason to go to SM Megamall Atrium! :) It has a casual modern ambiance so it's not very intimidating. It's great for date days, family days or just hanging out with your friends. I would definitely suggest for you to be early if you want to dine there for dinner during weekends.

Now I know why they say Yabu, House of Katsu! They have the best katsu's in the Metro!

Snoe Glam Jam in Scarlet

One of the most recent things I played with is lip and cheek tints. Honestly, this is one of those makeup or products that I really need a lot of practice in applying. I remember seeing some of my friends back when we were in highschool using lip and cheek tints and they would wear it really nicely and they didn't have a hard time applying it. Not me. I tried and failed! I felt that it was so hard to apply and blend evenly.

Last month I received Glam Jam from Snoe and all I could think about was "Oh no! A lip and cheek tint!" I knew I would have a hard time applying it and I wasn't looking forward to it. But the adventurous and experimental side of me wanted to at least give it a try and when I saw the sales attendants of Snoe in Robinsons Galleria wearing Glam Jam, I knew I had to try it!

Looks like a jam indeed!

Smells like one too. :p

I finally gave it a try and even though I still struggled, I have to admit that this product is very promising. It lasted me the entire day! And I mean 10-11 hours without retouching and with just minimal fading! When I said that Snoe Handy Candy Lip Color is pigmented, I didn't know that Glam Jam is TOO!

I don't like the effect that it gives on the lips so far. I still can't seem to apply it evenly on the lips so it accentuates the lines of my lips even more, but I am enjoying using it on my cheeks as blush! I didn't know I would like it this much that I actually purchased another Glam Jam- in Crush. (More on that next time.)

I would love to watch tutorials on applying lip and cheek tints and definitely learn a thing or two. I think I did good, for someone who doesn't wear stains. Haha!

I recommend this to those people who just want a little pop of color on the cheeks and who prefer long wearing cheek stains! This is definitely long wearing! I promise you. :p

This is a look I could definitely see myself wearing for a date night because of the dark shadows and how sultry looking it is. :p Just make sure that when you wear this look, you pair the heavy eyes with nude or light pinks for the lips.

I also chose to use my Goody Spin Pins to create that romantic side bun. :) Have I told you how much I love my Spin Pins? :) It's so versatile and it helps me create wonderful hair looks!

Flawless Anniversary Collection

One of the brands that I got in contact with last year was Flawless. I have been a Flawless client for so long but never really told the branches that I'm a blogger. I just didn't see the need to, and then I met the wonderful people from Flawless during the Flawless Bloggers Event.

Last December, Isa invited some of us for coffee and told us that she wanted to give us a little gift. Since I knew that it was so traffic and malls were packed with people. I suggested Starbucks in Ortigas. In attendance were Shen, Belle and myself.

After chit chatting for hours, Isa handed us our gifts! Aside from gift certificates, she also gave us the Flawless Anniversary Collection!

White Result's Treat at The Spa

How's 2012 treating you? I hope it's all positive! :) I still cannot believe it's already 2012!!! It feels so fast, but I'm definitely excited to see what's in store for me and even for Yellow Yum. :) I hope that you enjoyed your New Year's party as well!

I was invited to White Result's launch of their newest product, White Result Exfoliating Gel. It was an intimate gathering of beauty bloggers and was held at CAV in Bonifacio High Street.

I was surprised when I saw that there were only a handful of invited guests. I have always enjoyed these intimate meetings as I get to converse and interact with more people without it being too chaotic.

On to the food. Since this post is a little late, I actually can't remember much about the food. Haha! Only that I loved their iced tea and the salad.

There was a short introduction of the product and a video demonstration on how to use it. White Result Exfoliating Gel, is a breakthrough skin technology that gently exfoliate dead skin cells, blackheads, other skin impurities for a brighter, smoother, younger looking skin and lets you see visible difference in just one use.

After lunch and discussion on the product, we were led to The Spa for our facial and for us to try the product ourselves. Before leaving, of course photo-op is mandatory! :p

When we got to The Spa, we saw all the products of White Result. I have to admit, that was the first time I learned of the brand and the products.

After changing, we were led to our area and I was with 5 other beauty bloggers.

I loved The Spa's ambiance. I swear, they are one of the spas that have the best ambiance! Plus I also love the aroma. The Spa smells so relaxing, so good and so clean.

We were able to try 3 products of White Result:

Whitening Facial Wash, Exfoliating Gel, Daily Face Sun Block

The first product used was the Whitening Facial Wash. They used cotton pad to cleanse our face so we wouldn't need to stand up and take turns washing off our makeup.

Next was the Exfoliating Gel. It didn't hurt at all unlike other facial scrubs. To be honest, I don't really exfoliate regularly because I feel that my cheeks are sensitive that I get redness and blotchiness when I use a harsh exfoliant or ones that have quite big beads. The White Result Exfoliating Gel was massaged to our face and they massaged our face for about 3-4 minutes before removing the exfoliating gel and the dead skin with a warm cloth.

Lastly after exfoliating, Daily Face Sun Block was applied since we were still going out and will be exposed to the sun. We were also advised not to wet our face for a few hours after the procedure.

The whole time, all the beauty bloggers were chatting! It was really fun! :) I have only met Tara and Liz that day but they were so fun talking with. Definitely hoping to see all of them again in my future events!

San San Hydrating Color Dew Review

New Year is coming up and I'm sure a lot of us will be going to different parties. As we all know, kissing is a New Year tradition, whether or not you will be kissing a boyfriend, husband, family or a friend, it is important that we have a well moisturized lips. We don't want them to be dry especially when kissing. ;)

Here's one of the local lipsticks I recommend and I think this line is one of my favorites. It's none other than San San Hydrating Color Dew Lipsticks.

Beautiful lips know vitamins too, and San San Cosmetics offers lipstick lovers a healthier way to swipe their lip colors with the introduction of San San Hydrating Color Dew lipsticks.

Each tube of San San Hydrating Color Dew lipstick provides a burst of color with brilliant shine and has moisture retain features such as Lanolin Oil that seals the lips and prevents it from chapping. Its waxy texture allows for easy application and even coverage.

Shades 01, 03, 04, 05

To be honest, I was quite surprised that these lipsticks were THAT good. It was my first time to try their lip products and I didn't know what to expect. I only have a couple of local lip brands and I have to say I am not 100% satisfied. Some were really good, some were not. So trying out these lipsticks from San San was a risk for me.

I honestly fell in love with this line because of how moisturizing the lipsticks are. San San is known as the "makeup with vitamins" so I know that these vitamins are responsible for keeping my lips hydrated. I am also in love with the scent. The lipsticks smell soooo good and so yummy. Reminds me of cocoa butter and flower candies. :)

The only down side that I can think of is that it's a "regular lipstick". It's not long wearing, which means you have to reapply time and time again. When I'm going to a party, I would wear a lip liner prior to my lipstick but I still bring my lipstick with me for retouching.

Shade 01

This shade is a little sheer and it just gives the lips a little shimmer. When applied, it looks like you have lipgloss on instead of a lipstick. I rarely wear this though.

Shade 03

This would have to be my favorite shade. I like the peach-pink color it gives my lips. It looks pretty natural too. Out of the 4 lipsticks, this is the one that I usually wear and bring with me when I go out.

Shade 04

This is a nice burgundy lip color. I've worn this in my Christmas Colors Inspired look and I love it. It's not as bright as my other red lipsticks, it's a little deeper so it's not over the top! So if you are into red but not ready for a bright bright red, try this!

Shade 05

Now Shade 05 is pink. At first I thought that 03 and 05 looked the same, and then I realized they're not. Shade 05 is more pink. I've worn this in another makeup look (which I haven't posted yet.) Aside from 03, this is also a staple in my everyday look as I can wear this lip color with anything- and I mean anything! :)

So that's it! I will probably wearing 01 with a nice colored or heavy eye makeup or a neutral eye makeup with 04 on New Year. :)

Lilac Rose Makeup

Happy New Year! :) I know I haven't been blogging that much, I've been quite busy with family gatherings and work. Normally, we get a lot of customers and we tend to get a lot busy during the holidays.

Anyways, here's another makeup tutorial which I think you can use for New Year celebrations. It's fairly simple and you can wear it during day time or night time if you want. It's a great look when you don't have time to change your makeup from day to night.

I was on my way out one day and I chose to wear a black top. I didn't want to go with my usual neutral look so I thought of wearing a little lilac and old rose on my lids.

Last Minute Xmas Gift: Snoe Beauty Handy Candy Lip Color

Hey everybody, Merry Christmas! I don't think I'll be able to blog tomorrow because I'd probably be busy with celebrations. Haha! But do check out my youtube channel because I will be uploading several videos today and maybe tomorrow. :)

Anyways, my husband and I actually finished our Christmas shopping last week- to my surprise we didn't go last minute shopping. But I know some people who will be running to the mall to get their last minute gifts. Here's one that I highly recommend for the girls in your life.

Snoe Beauty Handy Candy Lip Color

This is one of the things that I received from Snoe. And it comes with three colors in one cute little packaging. I love the variety of shades!

Bubble Gum, Strawberry Shake and Milk Chocolate shades

Here are some things I pointed out:

First of all, I love the packaging! It's so handy and so cute. It makes as a great add on to your gifts or actually, if I was the one who'll receive this, I'd still be ecstatic even with just this lip color.

I also love the colors, you get pink, red and red orange shades! I always bring 3-4 lip shades because I love changing my look with just a swipe of lipstick.

You have to use your finger to apply the lip color and I discourage using a lip brush. I actually don't like this fact because I don't like using my fingers and the color also stains my finger.

It's long wearing. Obviously since it stains my fingers. I'm a sucker for anything long lasting and this actually meets my standards. I call this a lip tint instead of a lipstick because it doesn't give the same intensity of color in the pot but it's still good enough for me!

I don't really like the "I just sucked on a red lollipop look." I find it funny. I don't really know how to explain this further but the color settles on the lines of the lips. I found a solution though. Yey! Just put lipgloss on top as this helps blend the color better.

Christmas Inspired Looks: Christmas Colors

This is the second look that I came up with for my back to back Christmas tutorial which is all about Christmas inspired looks or makeup. And since we're already talking about Christmas, my second look is basically using Christmas colors, green and red. I know a lot of people are scared of using bright colored eyeshadows and I think this look and makeup shows you that it's not so scary after all. :)

Christmas Inspired Looks: Blue Christmas

I am extremely excited to share with you something I worked on recently. Well since it's Christmas time, I decided to create a back to back Christmas tutorial. I wanted to do some Christmas inspired looks. I decided to use colored shadows on this series just because I felt that I already have a lot of neutral and natural looks. You can of course wear those looks too since they're very timeless anyways. :)

This is the first look that I came up with, I always hear people saying "It's a Blue Christmas for me." meaning no love life. Well, here's a makeup look that will surely turn heads. :) I have always felt that blue eyeshadow gives perfect contrast to brown eyes and I have always loved wearing a "tame" blue shadow.
