This is unethical, and disgusting.Where did these kids even get alcohol from? Should that person be responsible for purchasing or selling alcohol to underage kids.The boys took advantage of the girl that is terribly wrong. But who was chaperoning this house party? So many questions, not enough answers. At the end of the day everyone is affected. I hate it was in that manner.

Are You Worried About Being Attacked? by By Jeremy Haas Thankfully not everyone is going to be the victim of an assault. That fact leaves us with many unanswered questions though. How do criminals decide who they are going to attack, and what steps can you take to avoid being their next target? Unfortunately there is no magic pill you can swallow to keep yourself protected. Studies have shed some light on how our posture can help keep attackers at bay. Projecting a confident, watchful image to others can be one of the best ways to keep you safe. Research has shown that attackers try to find people who look towards the ground. People who appear distracted, seem brooding, or search though their belongings all have a higher chance of being attacked. Eye and head movement are other things that attackers look for. Those with abnormal eye movement and constant side to side head movement are also at higher risk of assault. The best way to carry yourself is with your chin high. Standing up straight is a sign of a confident person. Those who slouch often appear lazy and with low self esteem. Poor posture, whether correct or not, is associated with lower class individuals. While a chest out, chin high posture is the way a higher class person would carry themselves. Emulating those with good posture has more benefits than just in self defense. There have been several research studies that provide interesting conclusions regarding the different forms of posture. In one study, people at a singles bar rated others based on their posture. Included among those rated, were an actor and actress who assumed particular forms of posture. A woman who judged the actor had very different feelings based on whether he stood straight or slumped over. The actor weighed in at 143 pounds and stood five feet ten inches tall. The woman guessed he was five foot nine inches and weighed 136 pounds when hunched over. As soon as he straightened up he was estimated to 160 pounds and five foot eleven inches. When the researcher asked the woman to rate him one out of ten, with ten being the best, she gave the hunched version a 4 and the straight version an 8. The actress involved in the study received a score of 9 out of 10 when standing up straight. This research is supported in 2 other studies. One study from the University of Helsinki concluded that women who are taller seem to be more authoritative. The other study showed that women who are taller have a better chance at avoiding a sexual assault. Keeping good posture doesn't actually make you taller, but it can give you the appearance of extra height. Good posture also causes people of all backgrounds to find one more capable, intelligent and attractive. All of these characteristics will help you ward off attackers. Another way you can add to correct posture is through projecting power. This technique is used with great success by cops, who are able to get control over criminals thanks to their perceived authority. To adopt this stance: Keep your head up and straight. Jaw tight. With squared shoulders. Keep your mouth closed and do not smile. Keep your eyes steady. Your feet firmly on the ground. The final place you need to convey your power is through your voice. As a general rule, the lower your voice is the better. Dropping your voice a half an octave or move can significantly improve the authority and power one projects. This can be critical during a time of self defense. You will sound helpless and afraid with a high pitched, fast voice. On the other hand you can take complete control with a deep voice. Lastly, if you ever have to let a potential attacker know not to mess with you, tell them to back off in the same tone a general uses to give an order. Don’t Give Away Your Power ~ By Joel Osteen

Every day we have opportunities to get upset, be frustrated and offended. Maybe someone thwarted our plan, or somebody was rude at the office. Life is full of inconveniences and difficult people. And while we can’t control the people around us, we can control our reactions to them.

I heard somebody say, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond.” If you get stressed, and perhaps lose your composure because somebody offended you, then what you’re doing is giving away your power.

This idea is well illustrated in a new book due out this Tuesday by David J. Pollay entitled The Law of the Garbage Truck. In fact, I was told of The Law of the Garbage Truck a couple of years ago and liked it so much I used it in a sermon. David’s story is so good, I’ll repeat it:

One day, David was in a New York City taxicab on his way to a meeting. Suddenly, another car pulled out right in front of them. The cab driver had to slam on his brakes and swerve into the other lane, missing the car by inches. The driver of the car started honking, screaming and shaking his fist. He was so upset. But astonishingly, the cab driver just smiled and waved at him. David was impressed by the cab driver’s restraint and asked him how he was able to keep his cool.

The taxicab driver explained that many people are just like big garbage trucks. They go around all day full of frustration, disappointment and anger. As their garbage piles up, they need somewhere to dump it; and sometimes, they’ll try to dump it right on you. You can’t take it personally because it doesn’t have anything to do with you. Just smile, wave and wish them well.

David liked the taxi driver’s philosophy so much that he wrote a book about it. I liked it so much I preached about it. That is one wise cabbie!

What that New York City cabbie taught us is that successful people don’t allow other people’s garbage to pollute their day. If somebody dumps a load on you, don’t get upset. Don’t get angry. Don’t get offended. If you make that mistake, you’ll end up giving away your power. And eventually, you’ll grow so tired of carrying their load of garbage around that you’ll dump it on somebody else. While we can’t always stop people from dumping their garbage on us, if we’ll recognize it for what it is – their garbage – we can stop it from affecting us.

Today, choose to hold on to your peace. Hold on to your joy. Hold on to your power. When you continue to stand strong with a smile on your face no matter what is going on around you, that’s when you’re at your very best. That’s when God can come in and fight your battles. He can take you to a higher level. He can pour out His blessing and favor upon you and lead you in victory all the days of your life!

Over a year ago, on a Tuesday morning it was rainy and I had nothing to do all day. I felt like ordering take out. I checked my bank account and there was a double negative followed by a big overdraft.Oh my god! I immediately called into the bank and asked them was there some sort of mistake. The receptionist replied: No, Mam our system shows that you used your card at XYZ gas station in Texas. I'm like ding dong, Hello! I'm in Georgia it would be impossible to drive to Texas to a gas station to purchase items for the same amount of money more than one time around 7 pm and be back in Georgia by 9 am this morning.Are you listening to me? How is it this bank can freeze my account for withdrawing $1000 from the ATM with my pin number but couldn't stop my account from being compromised. I'm stumped. No take out, no money until they figure this matter out. And I'm freaked on whether the thief has any other information of mine, better yet how the heck, or when the heck did they get my bank information? I am officially bombarded with a million CSI questions running through my head. Did someone I know do this? In the process, of waiting for the bank to find the criminals that borrowed my account information I decided to find another way to spend my money on the internet. I signed up for PayPal. The most recent thing that happened to me was when I was doing last minute Christmas eve shopping.

I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I was dropping things, leaving things behind,jumping in and out of lanes on the highway and the ultimate jaw dropper; I forgot where I parked. After, fighting for a parking spot,checking off my shopping list, sneaking up and snatching the last and only item that I drove two cities to get and more than ten people before me where fighting for. I have had enough of this chaos, I put myself through. What else could go wrong? After waiting for a place in line for 15 minutes, I was free at last. Now, I had another crazy dilemma. Where did I park? After walking row by row for about 5 minutes looking for a white car with tinted windows, I finally found my car. I am extremely relieved. I pressed my automatic button to unlock the doors and I heard the car beep. When I went to open my door it wouldn't unlock. I tried about 4 more times pressing my automatic door opener, tried to pop the trunk, and open my other door, nothing. So, here I was looking around like what the hell is going on. Is someone messing with me? Wait, did I pay my car note. Oh no! I looked in the window to see my bags were missing and there was a purple plush steering wheel cover. Now, I am tripping. I stepped back took a look at the car again, it looks like mine,feels like mine,is this mine? Hmm, I skimmed the lot again and spotted the exact same car two cars in front of the car I thought was mine. Before, I start screaming let me press my automatic button one more time,I thought. Finally, I seen the light blink on the other car parked two cars ahead. Yes! I Woosah, all the way to the car looking back like damn, that was weird. I need to slow down.

Have you suffered from a break-up? Well, I certainly have. It was not the best time of my life. I was all talked out. Nothing seemed to go right. So I decided to stop everything I was doing and freestyle my thoughts. If you are going through a break up this could help you.

Definition. A broken heart (or heartbreak) is a common metaphor used to describe the intense emotional pain or suffering one feels after losing a loved one, whether through death, divorce, breakup, physical separation or romantic rejection.

Osama Bin Laden once predicted he would never be captured alive and that others will follow him. True to say he hasn't been captured alive but who is to say that their aren't want-to-be jihadis offering to give their lives in revenge.

American and Westerns officials are elated that the United States had a successful operation in capturing and killing the hot type enemy Osama Bin Laden.

Clearly Al-Qaeda will not disappear overnight, however, the death of Bin Laden will aid the intelligence agencies around the world given clues and leads to catch other leaders. The american people should know that this will raise tension for the already weak Afghanistan, Pakistan and India , placing these countries at risk for more organized attacks.

The number one objective is to dismantle Al Qaeda. Kudos for killing Bin Laden but there's much more to be concerned about such as: America going through another recession, the
dedicated jihadis may be plotting and targeting the plan they have been working on for years, strain on our relationship with Pakistan if not already.

I am safely assuming the

It has been awhile since you last dated and you are a little timid on what to talk about on your first night out with a prospect. In most cases, the conversation always starts off with questions like but not limited to: tell me about yourself, what are your likes and dislikes, etc...After all questions are answered what do you say next? What happens next depends on the vibe between both parties. If there isn't a connection than it probably wouldn't matter what is said because that may be the last time you two date each other. I can recall going on a date with a guy I never seen and only texted. When we met it was like okay he isn't too bad looking. We barely said anything to each other the entire night. He would ask me and then he would criticizing my answers. I was immediately turned off and had to do something exciting. So, I started shouting like I had Turrets Syndrome, squirming in my seat as if I had ants in my pants and asking off the wall questions you shouldn't ask anyone you barely know. The night was fun but he was very boring and I had no intentions on meeting with him ever again. Let us start with the thought of letting go of oneself, a loved one, place or thing. I stayed over my mums house in lou of the rain. The plan was to drive back to my place after it ceased. Unfortunately, it is 12 midnight and still going strong. So, my mum and I were talking about someone that is dear to me, my dad. She said something about him that touched my heart. Without giving full detail of his life story, he is at a point in his life where he is just making all bad choices. It seems as if he has let go of himself. I started to think about others as we started to talk about him more and letting go in a broader capacity. It drove me to think of break-ups, divorces, bankruptcies, foreclosures and many others. In this blog I use letting go loosely, so that in most cases its not a bad thing. Allow me to explain my views.

Letting go of your past – whether that means quitting an addictive relationship or grieving a death – can be one of the hardest things you'll ever do. Even if it was an unhealthy relationship, you may still struggle to move on with your life.
It's not easy, but there are practical ways to let go of your past. Before you delve into letting go and saying good-bye to your past, however, you may need to face your memories and experiences. No matter the situation I believe these can help anyone that is in the process of letting go.

Excercises

I always found it best to get over something through the art of writing, talking, drawing, and coloring(or painting for those no longer in touch with there adolescents side)
Don't dwell on the painful memories and emotions you may feel, if you must cry do so.
Sometimes it brings closure when you can talk to the person involved, if possible. If you can relive the past for a moment it can help you get over it.
If your at the point in your life where you can be open to anyone, share your real feelings, confess to your mistakes and express your emotions.
Every situation may not end because of the other persons mishaps, you may have been the cause. That's okay. Don't hesistate to apologize and ask forgiveness if you need to.
Don't over indulge on food, liquor or drugs. Harming yourself isn't an option either.
If you have a problem the first thing you must do is ,admit you have a problem.
Seek help. Don't be to proud to ask. Its not unheard of to bury your pride when you need and want help. Letting go is a very difficult thing to do, but you can overcome anything if you want to. Just Don't Give Up.

No matter how bad of a storm you been through you cannot change anything. Acknowledge, the hard work you have done thus far. Forgive yourself and others for the mistakes made. If you can't try to forgive realize that not only is this unhealthy but can cause negativity(thoughts, actions, obsessions). When reading this you may say easier said than done, true but overtime you will find yourself believing in the same things mentioned in this blog. Change comes overtime. You will be able to heal and move on. Another remedy, that is helpful is to start meeting new people. If you have to get a whole new set of friends,environment, lifestyle feel free. It is extremely important to face your fears(failures), vent, share your pain and sadness. Remember, in order to have someone listen to you, you must listen to them equally. There is nothing like devoting your time to a persons problems and when you have a problem they sell you short, or just to busy to listen. Learn new directions and paths for you to start on, like a hobby or volunteer. The biggest idea is to rid yourself from your comfort zone. In the case of a relationship, take a break. You may be confused, madly in loved or abused but it may not be wise to spend time with him/her. Let GO but DON'T give up.
