Call me... <em>kiasu </em>:P </span><span style="color: #336666; font-family: trebuchet ms,sans-serif;">First time seeing these. But then, I hardly explore the vegetables section - they're always crowded and I am usually there just to grab broccoli, baby spinach and tomatoes afterwhich I'm rushing out for air and personal space within 1 minute. </span></div> <p /> <div><span style="color: #336666; font-family: trebuchet ms, sans-serif;">Surprisingly, the hypermart was hardly crowded yesterday - what a rare treat! And as I was searching for asparagus, I found these. Three for a buck. They look like elephant's turd. Especially when left on the ground. :P Who would have thought an ugly vegetable can have so many nutrients! </div> <p /><div>First time, with no recipe at hand, was a success. She has this cute and small heart-shaped face, big eyes and a body frame so small, you'd think she's a teenager. But I think she has been around longer than that. </div> <p /> <div>She loves people and she's so smart, she blows my mind every time she climbs up the stairs <em>with me</em> and <em>follows </em>me <em>across</em> the pedestrian bridge! When I return an hour or two later after my run, I'll find her chillaxing at her usual corner. Amazing.</div> <p /> <div>She doesn't talk and she doesn't purr when I pet her. I wish I knew what she sounds like. She luuuuvvvs to do the number 8 around my legs and she loves to rub her face on my smelly shoes. I usually let her do that for a few seconds, but today I was extra generous - 3 minutes.</div> <p /> <div>And then... without warning... <strong><em><span style="font-size: medium;">she BITES me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</span></em></strong></div> <p /> <div>You'd think after hurting a nice human, ie me, a cat would run away in fear. Especially after hearing me scream and kicking my leg out like a lunatic. No. This little thing still had the cheek to follow me! But with a bitchy attitude. When I saw their 25% off offer for 3 Big Items, I gave in and got myself an everyday bronzer, it base and a kabuki brush. Along with that order, I received some samples. They used to put the samples in little pots with sifters, but I suppose putting scant amounts of mineral powder in little pouches is more "green". I think some of the pouches didn't have more than half a teaspoonful worth of powder. So little, after one use and it's gone. But I think the two eye makeup colours will last a bit longer - I am not so crazy about their eye colours. Doesn't look appetising in the pic, but upon opening the top bun, I found a generous scatter of pale lettuce. Yay @ quantity, not quality! And considering this was under $3, I was surprised at how big this burger was. My lunch time mandarin orange was placed next to it for size reference :P</div> <p /><div>The Nacho burger wasn't crispy as advertised, but it was tasty, filled me up to the brim, made me feel almost sick afterwards and regret I didn't buy another coupon. That is 24 packets of goo!</p> <p>:P</p><p>But I need them! I swear, I need them!! At the rate this training is going, I'm going to need at least a dozen. Do the math: GNC sells the GUs for $3.90 each x 12 = a whopping and wallet-burning almost $50!! So I found a local "lobang" on FB, got bored yesterday, emailed them enquiries, and then bang, a box of Clif Shots in my hands by the afternoon.</p> <p>I also got three tubes of Clif Shot Bloks and a tube of nuun's Lemon Tea flavour - the thought of drinking cold iced tea while running on a hot day is mmmMMMmmmmMMM - both were also at a really good deal.</p><p>Not sure how much I saved - around $30+ - but now I have a good supply of energy gels for the tough long runs to last me a year, if I'm lucky :)</p> <p>Hope the new formula Clif Shots taste good. I know, they say never try anything new especially when buying in bulk, but I got all the mocha, chocolate and chocolate-cherry flavours, so I don't think they can go wrong with that.
