Last week, Yoocasa was partner of the Digital4Change, organized by Olivier Maurel from Danone Communities. This intense week of events about everything the digital world can bring to the social entrepreneurship was full of great encounters and positive energy.
The climax of the week was undoubtedly the conference organised at HEC Bsuiness School with exceptional speakers (Martin Hirsh, Florence Devouard (Wikipedia), Mitchell Baker (Mozilla), Matt Flannery (Kiva) and Walter de Brouwer (OLPC)…). And, last but not least the exceptional presence of Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Price in 2006 and inventor of micro-credit.
As you can see on the picture above, we were honored by the visit of Professor Yunus on our booth. And, despite the limited time he had, he showed great interest for our action to help families with a way to stay in touch, even at a distance.
In fact, this conference was a great success even if the weather was against us. It gathered the different forces for the digital world and from the social entrepreneurship with a real willingness to make things happen.

Cut the Rope offers a lot of funny riddles to candy addicts. The principle of the game starts very simple, you have to feed a little green hungry frog with candies. This little frog called Om Nom lives in a tiny cardboard box where candies are hanging on ropes. To help On Nom, you just neeed to cut the rope so he can catch the candies. This becomes more challenging and fun when different traps appear in the box…

]]>Pee is a yellow drop and Poo, a chunky brown dollop. These two “cute” characters were designed by Emma Meggitt while studying graphic design at the University of Gothenburg. This Scandinavian toy hit is also very successful in the U.S.: “They are horrible. But the children love them”.
Following the success of the cuddly toys that cost € 32, there are now T-shirts, underwear, key-chains… a>
“I wasn’t sure who would buy the toys but it turns out that kids absolutely love them,” says Ms Meggitt. “With the cuddly toys, kids aren’t sure if they are allowed to give them a hug – and then they think it’s great.” But it seems to be rather the parents who buy Pee & Poo, for the joke.
Up for a good laugh? You can get your Pee and Poos on the Pee and Poo web store or in one of the shops listed in the retailers section of the website.
This speech was given at a TED conference. If you have a bit of time, feel free to explore the TED site for more gems like this talk by Adora.
Do not hesitate to share other TED speeches in the comments: at Yoocasa, we really are fans.

We thought it would be a good opportunity for a poll about this trend:

In his crusade against junk food, Jamie Oliver proposes us a simple and effective alternative: water flavored with fruit.
Ingredients:
2 jugs of water
1 lemon 1 (not treated)
1 lime or 1/2 orange (not treated)
some strawberries or raspberries
a small bunch of mint
Recipe:
In the first jug:
Mash up the strawberries or raspberries in a bowl with a fork. Pour in a bit of lemon juice. Crush the mint with your hands to release the flavor. Pour fruits and half the mint in the jug filled with water. Mix well. Add ice to make it very fresh.
If you’re feeling a little adventurous, add a few slices of cucumber. It may seem strange, but it’s very refreshing.
In the second jug:
Cut the citrus in slices. Throw them in the jug filled with water before crushing them against the bottom of the carafe. Add the remaining mint and ice. Mix well.
Here, you can get the whole family refreshed and healthy.
