IT was pretty crowded today and it was hard to get a parking spot. On the bright side, the falls are full of water and the photographic opportunities are endless. I like to photograph on the Hite cove trail which is located a few miles outside Yosemite National Park on Hwy 140. This can create some dangerous situations especially in the winter. I stood in the beginning of the short walking trail and while my friends went to the bathroom I had some time to kill. So I decided to take this shot more or less out of boredom. It is probably my best image of the Fall as of today. The light was just perfect!&lt;br /&gt;The experience taught me an important lesson that I almost forgot. You can always delete a bad picture but you cannot create a situation like this a second time! The sun shines through the water and gets reflected from El &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Capitan&lt;/span&gt; and the appearance of the fall changes.&lt;br /&gt;I photographed this images last night (02-15-10) knowing that the best days are still ahead. The good news is that we did not see too many people up here. We drove up to Yosemite on &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Hwy&lt;/span&gt;. 140 on January 23, 2010 hoping that the roads would reopen and we were thrilled to  hear that they were. This opened up the possibility fro a day of &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;incredible&lt;/span&gt; photo opportunities. It is basically a small reconstructed village of last century houses. In the summer time there are docent there and teach about the good old frontier life. Since there was a lot of snow around us I was surprised finding an area without snow on the ground.
