Eric Bana Circling 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Lead?

Even as Daniel Day-Lewis prepares for his deep-dive portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in director Stephen Spielberg's long developing biopic about the sixteenth President of the United States, another actor is possibly gearing up for Honest Abe — though his take is sure to be significantly bloodier.

The Wrap reports that Eric Bana is circling the title role in "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," an adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's historical horror fiction novel for 20th Century Fox. Timur Bekmambetov is directing the project with Tim Burton on board as a producer.

The report is quick to note that Bana hasn't landed the presidential role just yet — for now, he's simply "scheduled to meet with" Bekmambetov and is "certainly in contention for the part."

The title pretty much tells you everything you need to know about "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." The story, authored by the same man who wrote "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," details Lincoln's secret life as a vampire slayer training under the tutelage of Henry Sturges, a benevolent bloodsucker who takes Abe under his wing after a live-saving encounter.

Bana's potential as Lincoln might not seem obvious at first, but the Australian actor has only a one-inch height difference with the 19th century leader; physically, he's a lock. Not only that, but Bana is well accustomed to both big budget fare as well as smaller, more dramatic projects.

Those sensibilities will doubtlessly come in handy for whoever plays Lincoln, as the part requires gravitas in the thick of a vampire-strewn landscape. Bana could handle that in spades, if the part is his to take.

Early life

Aruna Shields was born in United Kingdom. She is of Anglo Indian descent (Scottish/English/Indian). She began her education at a convent school before winning an academic scholarship to attend a boarding school. She went onto gain a distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She also obtained a degree from Central St Martins, London.

Her father came over to UK when there was shortage of doctors in England. Her father is from Bangalore and his mother tongue is Kannada.Her mother is also in medical profession.She has two brothers, one is an accountant and the other is an engineer.

Career

Shields', while at a theatrical workshop, was spotted by an acting agent. Her earlier works include working in theater for over a year. She also worked in various other leads in independent and feature films like Mission Improbable (2007), Live Bait and Private Moments (2005).

She made her Bollywood debut in 2010, in the action thriller, Prince. The same year, she appeared in the epic adventure Ao The Last Neanderthal, a love story set 30,000 years ago in a lost savage world. The film was produced by European cinema chain UGC.

Her film Mr Singh Mrs Mehta, was released on 25 June 2010.

Aruna is also a dance choreographer and has experience as a belly dancer.

More and more people are realizing that blogging is one of the best ways to start your own online business. It requires minimal start up costs, you can build an impressive and loyal readership over time and once you know how to monetize your blog it can also bring in a decent income that will keep on coming even on the days when you don’t update your blog.

There are several ways to set up a blog online. You could use WordPress, Blogger, or another free site that hosts your blog for you; or alternatively you can set up your own blog under your own domain name.

If you want to make serious money from blogging, you must have complete control over your blog – and that’s something the free blogging accounts won’t give you. You’ll be bound by their terms and conditions and that usually includes not being able to actively promote anything. There are plenty of people who have established a blog only to have it removed without notice some weeks or months later.

It will cost you a few dollars to buy your domain name and set up a web server that will host your blog, but the benefits will far outweigh the cost involved. It can literally be as little as $20 a year we’re talking about here – and that buys you total freedom.

Once you’re ready to set your blog up you’ll need to choose a good theme and layout for it. You might find one that relates to your choice of subject (more on that in a moment) or else there might be one you just like the look of. But there are thousands of templates available for you to use – a simple search on Google will reveal the ones that will be best suited to your topic.

But perhaps the most important question is what you are going to blog about. You should remember however that there are no real rules when it comes to blogging. Over time you will naturally find what works for you, and your blog will settle down into a nice pattern that both you and your readers will enjoy. You’ll find your character and personality will start to come through in your writing too; don’t fight against this as it is one of the hallmarks of blogging. It is, after all, a personal account of an individual’s life and experiences, so show people what you’re made of! You’ll get a more loyal – and bigger – audience like this.

So you’ve got your blog up and running and you’re posting to it on a regular basis. The next step is to get it in front of as many interested eyeballs as possible.

One great way to do this is to submit it to as many of the social bookmarking sites as possible. You can also join social networking sites and build a profile which contains a link to your blog. Other no cost ways to generate traffic include writing free articles for article directories with a link to your blog at the end, and creating signatures at the end of any posts you make to internet forums, and also in all the emails you send out. When you really start thinking about it, you don’t actually need to spend anything to generate plenty of traffic.

All we need to do now is monetize the blog itself. You’ll want to generate some money from all the visitors you’ll start getting, and there are plenty of ways to do this easily. Google Adsense is probably the most well known method – you can join the program for free and display contextual ads that your visitors will be interested in to maximise your click through rate.

There are also a handful of websites which give you the opportunity to get paid for each blog post you make on a specific subject. Pay Per Post and Review Me are two such examples, and they will pay you a certain amount of money to review a product or website for the owner. In a similar vein you can also review and recommend other people’s products through affiliate links inserted into your blog posts, and earn money on commissions earned through any purchases people make.

And once you’re more established you can offer ad space on your blog too, and charge a fee for both classified and display ads if you wish. What could be better than setting your own price?

But there is one final step you can take with your blog if you enjoy a change of scene every now and again. You can sell your blog! Once it is established and has plenty of revenue and traffic, you can usually sell it for ten times its monthly revenue.

And then, you can start all over again with a whole new subject!

Oscar winning films do not tend to work in India: Akshay Kumar

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar loves playing the quintessential Bollywood hero and though he would like to experiment more with his roles, the actor is not ready to leave the sphere of commercial cinema.

The 43-year-old actor, who saw three of his films -'Housefull', 'Khatta Meetha' and 'Action Replayy' releasing this year, had a mixed run at the box office.

And as he gears up for the his last release of the year, Farah Khan's masala flick 'Tees Maar Khan, Akshay says he will not compromise with the entertainment quotient of his films because that's what works with the masses.

"I love to play different roles and I am not afraid to experiment or make movies that have different roles. But I have always known that only commercial cinema really works here. Oscar winning movies never tend to work in India. Well, no problem with that but it slightly curbs what aspiring actors want to do in their careers," Akshay told PTI.

kshay, who has been in the industry for a couple of decades now and has acted in close to 100 films, however, sometimes craves to go beyond the commercial boundaries.

"Masala movies are awesome to do but sometimes one wants to break boundaries, create epics and perform challenging roles. But then India's masses are not really interested in those kind of films.

"Life is stressful enough that they just want to be happily entertained and really, I can't blame them. 'Tees Maar Khan' stands for the masses and pleasing them is all that I ever want to do."

The actor, however, feels that not all the ambitious movies work at the box office.

"As an actor I feel people should realize that in this industry it is dangerous if you only do what the audience expects as it is inevitably dangerous to attempt anything new as well. Hence the reason not every ambitious movie works. One aims to please and show versatility but 90 per cent of the times it goes unwanted. Whoever said that 'show business' was easy?"

kshay has replaced Farah's perennial favourite, Shah Rukh Khan in 'Tees Maar Khan', which will also see him reuniting with Katrina Kaif after a long time.

It is Farah's third film after the success of 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Om Shanti Om', and revolves around the exploits of a conman, played by Akshay.

The racy number Sheila Ki Jawaani', featuring Kaif, has already topped the music charts and despite the number, the actor says that it is family comedy.

"It is fast and full of humour. But then this is no brainless comedy and Sheila is sure to make you dance."

Also starring Akshaye Khanna, 'Tees Maar Khan' is all set to see a Christmas release on December 24.

Roots

Katrina Kaif, a name now familiar to Indian movie-goers, was born on 16 July 1984 in Hong Kong. Her parents are both British citizens, while her father is a Kashmiri who later acquired British citizenship. She lived in Hawaii before moving to UK and is now setting up a home and career in India.

Katrina has been Salman Khan’s long term girlfriend. Despite several speculations about the couple’s break-up, all seems well.

On the Runway
Kaif’s first taste of modeling happened in Hawaii when she was 14 and was part of a jewelry campaign. Thereafter, she continued modeling in London. Kaif, while in London, was spotted by Kaizad Gustad and was cast in his 2003 release Boom, which sank without a trace. Movie offers initially trickled in owing largely to her unfamiliarity with Indian languages. The very next year, in 2004, she played the part of Princess Malliswari in the Telugu movie Malliswari. She had another Telugu film, Allari Pidugu in 2005, along with two Hindi movies, Ram Gopal Verma’s Sarkar and as one of Salman Khan’s love interests in David Dhawan’s Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. Both movies did well at the box office. She won the Stardust Breakthrough Performance Award for Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. She co-starred with Akshay Kumar in Humko Deewana Kar Gaya, in 2006. Besides this she was a part of a Malayalam movie Balram Vs Taradas.

Five releases marked 2007. Her movie Namaste London with Akshay Kumar, was one of the year’s top hits, for which she did her own dubbing. The other three movies were Apne with the Deols, David Dhawan’s Partner with Salman Khan and Govinda and Welcome, all of which performed well at the box office. She also put in a special appearance in Nanhe Jaisalmer.

In 2008, we caught her in two blockbusters-the racy Race and Singh Is Kinng. She walked away with the British-Indian Actor Award at the Zee Cine Awards (2008). She played a small part in Hello, based on Chetan Bhagat’s One Night At A Call Center. Yuvvraj with Salman Khan didn’t do well.

Bigg Boss 4 inmates are in for a surprise as the team of Tees Maar Khan would be promoting their film on the sets of Bigg Boss and if sources are to be believed Barbie Doll Katrina Kaif would enter into the house of the Bigg Boss 4. Sheila Ki Jawaani shot Katrina into the limelight this year as everyone got to see the wild part of Katrina Kaif. Now as she would enter the house of Bigg Boss 4 everyone would go berserk.

By the time this pretty, porcelain-skinned actress essayed her breakthrough role as a tween bloodsucker in Interview with the Vampire at age 11, she was already a veteran of the entertainment industry.

At age 3 Dunst began appearing in commercials and by the early '90s she was landing small parts on television and the big screen. Her captivating performance as a woman trapped in a child's body in 1994's Vampire proved that she was more than just a precocious youngster.

'The Big Bang Theory' Recap: The Justice League Recombination

Something I really love about multi-camera sitcoms is their silliness. Perhaps it's the canned laughter, but shows in this genre don't ever really feel very realistic. And that's okay, because they're not meant to. More so, a multi-camera sitcom is there to provide an escape for the viewers. The writers (most of the time, I'm sure someone can give me an example) don't discuss big, philosophical themes in a show. Any trouble with relationships is often cleared up within the half hour.

The jokes and gags are just what they are: jokes and gags. And sometimes, this is the type of entertainment we like. We don't always need big, satirical episodes from Community or a constant, rapid fire of jokes from 30 Rock. Sometimes, we just need to sit down on the couch, turn on the television, listen to a few silly jokes, see some funny gags, and simply, just be entertained for awhile.

And that's what The Big Bang Theory does, or more accurately, used to do. For me, it gave me an escape where I could just chill out and laugh at the silliness of the ensemble -- Sheldon's weirdness, Leonard's pathetic-ness, Howard's creepiness, Raj's goofiness, or Penny's frustration. And when TBBT utilizes all of these parts, it's a very funny show. Fortunately, last night, TBBT went back to this recipe and gave us its best episode of the season.

So in "The Justice League Recombination," we're presented with a fairly common sitcom plot. Penny is back with her boyfriend, Zack (that dumb dude from earlier this season). He shows up, and the guys make fun of his stupidity (with some pretty funny lines, by the way. To Zack learning about starfishes on the Discovery channel, Sheldon: "Was the starfish wearing boxing shorts? Because you might have been watching Nickelodeon.") Zack slowly realizes the guys are making fun of him, so he retreats back to Penny's.

The guys apologize, and realize that he'd make a great Superman for the New Year's Eve comic book store costume party, which they plan to attend as The Justice League. He accepts, in turn making Penny Wonder Woman. So they all plan to go out but before they do, Penny realizes that Zack has become better friends with the guys than her, so she pouts. After everyone trying, Leonard is the only one who can convince her to come out. So she does, they go the party, win, and Penny kisses Zack on New Year's, but wishes she was kissing Leonard instead.

Jim Carrey To Host 'SNL' On January 8th

Jim Carrey has signed on to host Saturday Night Live's first show in 2011 on January 8th. Carrey is currently riding the wave of press that's surrounding his new sexually charged movie, I Love You Phillip Morris (that was shot in April 2008 and was first screened in January 2009 at Sundance, but struggled to get a concrete release date based on its content).

Carrey plays Steven Russell, a newly-out homosexual who reassesses his life after being injured in a car accident and begins to commit serious frauds and crimes against those around him. I Love You Phillip Morris has Carrey opposite Ewan McGreggor, who plays the Phillip Morris that Russell meets while doing time in prison.

They probably won't address the movie too much, and it's just too bad the itchy sweater skit already went to Dane Cook.

The musical guest will be The Black Keys, who I've been told are worthy of this recent honor.

Kareena Kapoor Spotted in Las Vegas!

Kareena Kapoor is currently in the United States to shoot Shakun Batra's upcoming movie Stand By Me. But a girl needs some rest every now and then and Bebo hit up Las Vegas for some sightseeing on her day off the other day.

Written by Shakun Batra and Ayesha DeVitre, Stand By Me also stars Imran Khan, Randhir Kapoor, Boman Irani and Ram Kapoor. The buzz was that Stand By Me is an adaptation of the Hollywood film What Happens in Vegas starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, but producer Karan Johar explains that that is not the case: "The movie is not an adaptation. It is an original story written by the writer of the film and Shakun is the director of the film with Imraan and Kareena in it. It is not an adaptation of What happens in Vegas.

Rumors were circulating that Kareena demanded an extraordinary amount of money to shoot the flick but the actress soon debunked those rumors as she told reporters, "Karan [Johar] is family, we don't discuss money or even scripts. He tells me when to start shooting and pays me what I deserve. I certainly hope he gives me this much."

As for the type of clothes Bebo will be sporting in the movie, she makes it clear that the designated designer, Manish Malhotra, will not be giving her any short shorts! "Shorts have been done to death in the movies. And my fans didn't like the Tashan look. So I'll be wearing lots of clothes with Jab We Met kind of a vibe."

So fans will not be able to swoon over Kareena's size zero body in the film that was previously titled Short Term Shaadi. Although the actress has had enough of all the talk about her weight as she says, "This size zero nonsense has been going on for too long. I'm grateful to Shahrukh Khan for taking the mantle away for me. Ever since he got into those body suits for Ra.One, people have been discussing his weight loss rather than mine."

Seems like Hollywood can't get enough of India! Californian songstress Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand got hitched in Jaipur in October this year and now the buzz out of tinseltown is that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning to tie the knot in Jodhpur early next year! Looks like Rajasthan is the place to be right now.

Pop star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand fell in love with each other - and with India - last year. And after getting engaged in Japiur, the happy pair decided to come back to their fav country - along with about 80 friends and family members - to say their 'I do's.' Katy was inspired by No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani's wedding dress and has hired one of her favorite designers to get the most exquisite outfit.
Katy and Brand touched down at Jaipur airport in October thus year and wed in a lavish Hindu ceremony. When the "California Girls" singer arrived in India she gave fans an idea of what she would be wearing during the nuptials as she donned a traditional bridal nose ring. Woody Allen with 40 films behind him embarks on yet another familiar tangled retread and there’s nothing new to be had either. His semi-autobiographical world is as skewed as ever, the moral compass decadent and rotting away on the inside and the sentiment just as usual, wry and matter of fact.
The film opens with an unseen narrator(Zak Orth) paraphrasing Shakespeare, about how life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
Helena(Gemma Jones) finds herself bereft and alone when her husband Alfie (Anthony Hopkins) divorces her to embark on the youthful pursuits of a much younger wife Charmaine (Lucy Punch) and a gym body. Their daughter Sally (Naomi Watts) supports her wannabe successful, one-book wonder, husband, Roy (Josh Brolin) while he frolics around with younger women in the hope of finding some miraculous inspiration.
One of his obsessions is Dia (Frieda Pinto) who breaks up with her fiancée to romance with Roy. Gallery owner, Sally’s employer and crush, Greg (Antonio Banderas), is yet another ageing romeo with a troubled marriage, who is seeking the arms of a younger woman, an artist protégé of Sally’s.
The only man who appears content to pursue a woman, Helena, nearer his age, is Jonathan (Roger Ashton Griffiths), but he too has the baggage of a dear departed wife whose spirit he needs to consult before committing to marriage again. Now where does that leave the women? They are either neurotic, self-seeking or faking it for a comfortable co-existence.
The title of the film merely alludes to the desperately seeking nature of human relationships be it for happiness or romance- but both don’t ever go hand-in-hand, at least not in Allen’s cynical celluloid world.
The titular allusion to fate and fortunetelling, finds expression in Helena’s dependency on a charlatan fortune reader and her interest in books on the occult.
Allen continues to reiterate, in film after film, and in this one too, that our existence is meaningless. He keeps the narrative buoyant through an amusing series of coincidences, a few stinging reversals and some half-way surprises.
There is beauty, irony, sarcasm, regret and philosophising in Allen’s screenplay but none of those themes are played out with any significantly satisfying impact. Each of the actors, from the stalwarts to the newbies, do a competent job to keep this relationship-play interesting.
Allen’s impeccable dialogue with it’s all-too-brief doses of humour and Vilmos Zsigmonds entreating cinematography add to it. While it lasts, the 98 minute runtime is inveigling enough but once the film ends(abruptly at that), there is just no aftertaste, or any feeling that you have just witnessed something monumental!

‘Toonpur’s success could create jobs for Indian animators'

A self-confessed fan of Tom And Jerry, Ajay Devgn is hoping Toonpur Ka Superrhero succeeds at the box office when it releases in cinemas on December 24. Not only because it will add to the hits this year, but also because it could turn the tide for the better for animation professionals in India. “If the film works, it can create one lakh jobs for animators in our country,” he asserts.

The actor recalls director Kireet Khurana showing some portions of Toonpur… to the producer of Who Framed Roger Rabbit when he was in the city. “He was impressed that such high quality animation could be done in India. So the film’s success can see more of our animation artists getting jobs from the global market.
Also, the increasing demand for animators will see more and more people entering this field,” Devgn explains, adding, “Our animators are not paid at par with those abroad. If someone in Hollywood is paid equivalent of Rs 1 lakh, our animator is paid barely R 20,000. That’s why the success of Toonpur will ensure more jobs and higher pay for our animators.”
Point out to him that many of our animation films are not up to the mark and he concedes. “The problem is that these filmmakers think our kids are stupid. That’s one reason why their movies don’t work. In Hollywood films, the humour is well-balanced, and that’s why they appeal to adults too,” replies the actor.
Devgn questions the reasons why some directors make films that children have grown out of. “The mindset has become such that animation films are only meant for children. That’s not the case with filmmakers in Hollywood. That’s why they also appeal to adults, like a Despicable Me,” the actor observes.
He further emphasises that the exposure today’s children have to the world at large is a lot more than his generation had during their childhood days. “Today’s kids ask questions that sometimes leave us fumbling for answers. So we can’t afford to take our children audience for granted anymore,” he reasons.
Interestingly, just like the animators, the actors too had to work hard on their performances. “It’s not easy acting in a green room, reacting to characters that are not around. And it’s even more strenuous doing the fight and action sequences. More so because we had to retain that intensity throughout, as if we’re actually fighting with someone,” he says.
Devgn, who’s booked next Diwali for his fourth consecutive festive release, is optimistic about making his mark this Christmas too. About clashing with Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan on the same day, the actor reiterates, “When you know the film is good, you consider not just the weekend, but also the whole week.”

The super-accomplished Anushka Sharma and debutant, quite easily the discovery of the year, Ranveer Singh (is this really his first film?) whip up a wondrous camaraderie in scenes written with such skill and craft you really don't see the labour that has gone into building this love- shove during the time of weddings-sheddings in the heart of Nayee Dilli.

Capital pleasure, anyone?

Band Baaja Baaraat (BBB) is an utterly joyous and enjoyable look-see at the world of Punjabi weddings in Delhi as seen through the eyes of two wedding planners, partners in business Shruti and Bittu who have sworn from Day 1 never to get involved with one another.

'Pyar' (love) and 'Vyapaar' (business) just don't jell. The couple keeps telling one another this.But are the Gods listening? The skilfully-written superbly crafted rom-com takes the no-holds-barred pair's relationship through a lavish labyrinth of shaadi shindings replete with Bhangra tracks (Salim-Suleiman) that provoke your heart and feet to jump up and dance.

Outwardly the film looks like Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding put into a maze of wedding festivities that seem to meander from one joyous jig to another until we come to a point where we ask in unison…now what?

With a smoothness of touch that shows the hand of a writer who knows his job thoroughly (full marks to the dialogue and screenwriter Habib Faizal) BBB changes the profile of Shruti-Buttu's relationship midway.

What remains unchanged is that sense of joie de vivre which comes to a film on that rare occasion when the writer and director know where they're going and how to take the characters there without giving away the signposts to the audience.

Delhi, that city of bustling streets, speeding autorickshaws, restive bus stops, bottom pinchers and money filchers has never been more vibrant and alive in any other recent film. Aseem Mishra's camera penetrates the heart of the Capital and the souls of its two unforgettable protagonists.

Unlike Yashraj Films' Bunty and Babli some years ago, Bittu and Shruti are fooling no one except themselves.

“Tujhe saanp-seedhi ka khel bahut pasand hai na?” Bittu challenges Shruti towards the end.

Oh, the games people in love play with one another to ward off the inevitable embrace! This vibrant voluptuous ride through the kaleidoscope of weddings as the two wedding planners forget that there is a planner far more powerful than they to plan their destiny, is as engaging as it is caliber-defining for the rom-com in Hindi cinema.

What does one say about the two principal performers without tripping over with the excitement of being in the midst of remarkable talent?! With just three films Anushka Sharma has grown into one of the most watchable and eloquent contemporary actresses.

To the role of the spirited Shruti Anushka adds the kind of spice that one associates with Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.In two key sequences with Ranveer Singh (where she conceals her true feelings and much later lets them all out in a tumble of smirking hurt) Anushka blows the screen apart.

Akshay Kumar’s chronic back problem which immobilized him on Tuesday has a strange and bizarre connection with Farah Khan.

Farah who’s just directed Akshay in Tees Maar Khan, earlier directed Shah Rukh Khan who also suffered from a chronic back problem that has put him out of action more than once. And Farah, to carry the queer coincidence forward, is often called the true inheritor of Manmohan Desai’s legacy. Deasi, it must be remembered, suffered from an acute back problem.

Akshay Kumar’s scheduled 25-day promotional tour for his new film Tees Maar Khan came to a grinding halt on Tuesday when his chronic back problem suddenly resurfaced.

While wife Twinkle rushed Akshay to the doctors on Tuesday afternoon Akshay’s co-star Katrina had to leave for the Dubai lap of the film’s promotion all alone.

Apparently Akshay was insistent that he join Katrina for her trip to Dubai. But Twinkle put her husband under house-arrest, as this was not an isolated back pain. Akshay first suffered a back problem while doing a stunt sequence in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi in 1996. It confined him to bed rest for almost three months.

Again last year while shooting for Sajid Khan’s Housefull Akshay’s back trouble recurred. He was advised surgery. But Akshay opted for water therapy. It took him to Germany and he came back apparently fully cured.

Says a source close to Akshay, “It was the rigorous travel by plane and cars for the promotion of his new film that caused Akshay’s back problem again.”

While the whirlwind tour of Dubai had to be cancelled (Katrina had to brave Dubai’s excited crowds all alone) Akshay insisted he would leave for the London lap of his promotional tours on Tuesday night.

Twinkle confirmed on Tuesday evening that Akshay was better.

“He will be ok. He will leave tonight for London to promote Tees Maar Khan, ” said Twinkle.

Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary on Dec’ 20 and they are planning to have some fun with the surf and sea along with their friends for the occasion.

Previously, the Roshan couple decided to have the wedding anniversary party in some nightclubs in Mumbai but have decided to move to Goa now. The reason behind heading to the Las Vegas of India is that so they can party till late hours as most clubs in Mumbai closes pretty early.

Close friends and family are invited to join the couple to celebrate a decade of them being married, but the venue is still under wraps. Hrithik and Suzanne are well known to throw lavish theme parties but this time around the wedding anniversary will be simple one. It will be more of friends and family coming together to enjoy and have a bash.

Dhobi Ghat has Aamir's family in blink-and-miss roles

Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao's directorial debut Dhobi Ghat has her near and dear ones feature in a scene along with the actor.

In one particular scene, Aamir's character Arun is at an art gallery along with a group.

Included in this crowd are familiar faces that include nephew Imran Khan's mother Nuzhat Khan and fiance Avantika's mom Vandana Malik besides several of Kiran's close circle of friends.

Says a source, "While shooting, Kiran hit upon the idea of including them in her movie too. As they are there always with her off-screen, she decided to have them on screen in her first project.

Adds the source, "They are shown accompanying Aamir at the art gallery.

The audience will definitely notice them even though they make a momentary appearance. It was just for a lark and they were all happy and excited to be part of her first venture."

Aamir's production stars Prateik, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra. The movie, which is slated to release on January 21, is the story of four people who hail from different backgrounds.

Interestingly, several of Aamir's early films have had his family members featured in walk-on parts right from his Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak days.

Khan VS Khan: A Big blow for Salman

Salman Khan's best friend Sajid Nadiadwala signs Shah Rukh Khan for his next film to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is to Salman Khan, what Karan Johar is to Shah Rukh Khan. They are like family. Salman and Sajid are like brothers. When the SRK-Salman battlelines were drawn, everyone picked sides.

It was clear if you were a friend to one camp, you were not welcome on the other side. But now Nadiadwala has signed SRK for his adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's Two States.

And everyone is waiting and watching if this will affect their dosti.

The film was earlier to star Saif and Priyanka and was to be directed by Siddharth Anand. Now it will star King Khan and a new girl, and will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Confirms an insider, "Sajid is producing Vishal Bhardwaj's film starring SRK. It's an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's Two States, and Sajid has bought the rights to the novel.

When the directors changed, Vishal approached Shah Rukh for a narration. SRK loved the script."

Around a week ago Sajid and SRK met and discussed the project. The source continues, "Shah Rukh spoke to Sajid from Berlin and they met after he returned.

The shooting will commence from mid next year."

In an industry where cliques are very clear, it is natural for Sajid's friends Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar to be upset with his decision to produce a film starring rival Shah Rukh.

Meanwhile it is learnt that Nadiadwala's film Kick starring Salman has now been postponed, as the film starring the Ra.One star goes on the floors first.

Shah Rukh Khan, Vishal Bhardwaj and Sajid Nadiadwala remained unavailable for comment.

About The Film

Two States is an intense love story between a young couple from two different states and is based in cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

It will have Shah Rukh playing Krish (a young Punjabi guy from Delhi) while Ananya will be played by a newcomer as the girl is a South Indian one. Red Chillies, Sajid and Vishal are co-producing the film.

About the book

2 States The Story Of My Marriage is about inter-community marriages in modern India. It's the story of Krish and Ananya who are from two different states of India, fall deeply in love and want to get married. Their conservative parents don't agree, so to convert their love story into a love marriage, the couple stages a tough battle in front of them.

The fictional is said to be inspired from the real story of Chetan Bhagat and his wife Anusha who are from Delhi and Tamil Nadu respectively. Om Shanti Om

When Sajid Nadiadwala's Heyy Babyy released, the first song promo was with Shah Rukh Khan dancing to Mast Kalander, there were reports that SRK was miffed with Sajid.

Another rumour was that Shah Rukh was upset over the fact that the promos of Om Shanti Om were not showcased during the trials of Sajid's Heyy Babyy. But SRK, on reading the reports, had promptly sent a text message to Sajid stating that he wasn't angry at all about anything.

Farah Factor

Sajid Nadiadwala is known to be the moohboli brother of Farah Khan. He had organised her wedding to Shirish Kunder. Shah Rukh and Farah Khan had a fallout last year when FK claimed that the actor, who was to produce husband Shirish's film, delayed it.

Farah subsequently produced and directed Tees Maar Khan herself with Akshay Kumar and was cold- shouldered by Shah Rukh's inner coterie of friends. Farah and Sajid shared a history when Jaan-E-Mann (directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Sajid) released. Shirish and Farah had alleged that the film fared badly at the BO because Sajid hadn't promoted it well.

'Source Code' To Open SXSW 2011!

Film geeks like me are so spoiled next year. The entire calendar is populated with action, adventure, superheroes and science fiction and for the first time in a long while there are movies opening before the anticipated summer blockbuster season that look as exciting as the ones that will play during that profitable period. One project that I'm particularly giddy about is Duncan Jones' follow up to his acclaimed 2009 mind-bender Moon - the time travel thriller Source Code.

Moviegoers everywhere can experience the awesomeness of Source Code on April 1st, but those lucky enough to be attending the 2011 South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas are in for a real treat today as we've found out that Source Code will premiere on the fest's opening night! With this exciting news comes a new image from the film, which you can see below.

The movie is about a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. The trailer teases a cerebral story like the director's debut film, but will also feature big-budget special effects that are the hallmark of Hollywood productions. I'm stoked about Source Code because of its cool cast (comprised of Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga and Jeffrey Wright) and talented filmmaker, whose work reminds me of the early movies of Terry Gilliam. Those lucky enough to be attending the SXSW Film Festival will get to see Source Code before the rest of us, so start getting hyped now!

'The Muppets Movie' Features Dave Grohl Cameo; 'Conchords' Bret McKenzie Music

Looks like the long-running joke that Dave Grohl looks like Animal from the muppets is finally coming true. The former Nirvana drummer/current Foo Fighters frontman will make a cameo in next year's The Muppets Movie, standing in for Animal as drummer for the band, The Electric Mayhem. Supposedly, he needs to take the sticks because Animal is forced into anger management. Rock on!

Anyway, in more exciting muppet music news, it's been announced that Bret McKenzie -- the shorter half of Flight of the Conchords -- has been hired as music supervisor and is working with writer Jason Segel on songs for the film. And McKenzie seems to be enjoying his time.

“It was really unexpected. We were in the studio recording Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. It was a very surreal experience," he said. That's all fine and dandy, but I just hope Kermit asks Piggy if she's into it.

For those who haven't been following the news, The Muppets Movie (which is still a working title) is shaping up to be awesome. Not only did Segel write it with Nicholas Stoller, he's starring with an all-star cast. Plus, Zach Galifianakis will make a cameo, along with Ricky Gervais and Emily Blunt, and then, who knows, probably everyone else in Hollywood.

'Gravity' Pulls in George Clooney

George Clooney has finally decided to leave the planet, giving men everywhere hope that they can one day take his place as the most charming man on earth. The actor is set to star in the upcoming film,Gravity, alongside Sandra Bullock, to be directed by Alfonso Cuaron.

Clooney replaces Robert Downey Jr. (the world's second most charming man) in the role of a team leader of a space station. Bullock plays his counter, a mother, and they're both placed as the sole survivors when the space station is destroyed by an asteroid's debris field. Also, probably at some point in the film, they do it.

Anyway, currently Clooney is directing and starring in The Ides of March, an adaptation of the play by Beau Willimon. Ryan Gosling is co-starring and he is, of course, the world's third most charming man.

Winona Ryder Knew Mel Gibson Was Antisemitic

In a new interview with GQ, Winona Ryder talks about how she was the first person who knew Mel Gibson was homophobic and antisemitic. She says she was at one of those "big Hollywood parties," (the kind with the shoes and the pool and the blopop rings and the monkeys walking around with the chickens on the leashes) and she was with her gay friend talking to Mel Gibson, and he made a really horrible joke -- a joke bad enough, in fact, that the monkeys put the shoes on the chickens, shoved the blopops down their throats and pushed them into the pool, killing them all. Ryder says "somehow" Gibson found out she was Jewish (yeah, SOMEHOW! As in like "oh, you know what's funny? Your overwhelming Judaism that I can see from the way you're holding that martini and not blowing me!) and then he said something about "oven dodgers" and something homophobic. Ryder continued and said that after the incident at the party, she told everyone she could about Gibson's antisemitism and his homophobic tendencies, and no one believed her.

Yes yes, obviously we believe Winona now that we've heard tapes of Mel Gibson talking about how his ex-girlfriend was never talented and how the cleaning lady works for him and not her. If we could issue you a giant apology, Winona, and send you flowers from every country around the world, we would. But we can't because those royals over there in Britain are getting married, and they don't care about your little mishap with the son of a Holocaust denier. But we really are sorry...especially because you didn't get to film a sequel to S1mOne to take your mind off the ordeal.

David Arquette To Host 'Ranking The Stars'

David Arquette, Courteney Cox 's "son," has signed a deal with Merv Griffin Entertainment to help develop and host a new game show called Ranking The Stars, which of course is based on something Japanese.

Ranking The Stars will take a bunch of celebrities and ask them to rank each other in terms of how likely or unlikely they are to do something embarrassing. Variety says the show "requires celebrities to be self-deprecating" about whether or not they'd do something SO UNCHARACTERISTIC OF CELEBRITIES THESE DAYS, like informing the paparazzi on where they'll be having dinner or the existence of their own sex tape. But really, those two things aren't embarrassing. What's much more embarrassing is making your wife feel like your mother.

Arquette feels the show's style is perfect for him because a lot of his humor is based on his shortcomings in life (can you believe Cox wasn't with him for EVEN LONGER?!), as he believes his "flaws are what make [him] funny, and [he] has no problem letting people poke fun at that." And YES, David! Understand though, a show where celebrities talk about doing embarrassing things is no substitute for going on Howard Stern and doing the real thing.
