Review

This review is for the 22" version.
This tv is wall mounted in our kitchen, which is very well lit & surrounded by windows, yet the screen is bright and colorful. I have both a PS3 and AppleTv hooked up to it, and the picture rivals that of our much more expensive 3yr old 40" Sony Bravia (which was $1100), the colors don't have quite the depth of the Sony, but the clarity of this TV is better and moving images have more separation from the background image.
Tv weighs very little and could easily be held by most any mount. Remote is nice and has a backlight.
One complaint I do have is there is no mention of this unit being a lo-volt (12v DC) model. Meaning it requires an included transformer to step down the 120v AC power. This isn't a real problem unless you are wall mounting the tv and suddenly realize that you now have to contend with concealing a 1.5"x1"x3.5" transformer. I almost returned the tv based on this alone, however, the cord on the transformer was long enough that I could conceal the transformer in the cabinet below with my other A/V equipment and pull the wire up throughout the wall with the HDMI cable. This actually worked out to my advantage because the lo-volt wire is much smaller than a typical AC cord so it was easier to hide the wire from the back of the TV to the wall.
On a side note, not sure if this TV (being lo-volt) would be a great choice for an RV/Motorhome.

Review

Great pool for the price, especially because you don't need to buy the pump. We've used a hairdryer (set to cool), an air mattress pump and even the blower to a Little Tikes Bouncer ... all methods work great and can inflate the pool in less than 5 minutes. The seal doesn't have to be perfect, just hold whatever inflation device you've got up to the hole, and you're in business.

As another reviewer mentioned, there is no drain plug. You've got to deflate the pool to empty it. Usually after a full day or 2 of play, the water gets a little cloudy. Adding a couple tablespoons of bleach helps to keep it clear maybe a day or 2 longer than that. I use an old splatter guard from the kitchen to get all the bugs out in the morning and evenings. You can also buy a cover.

To store it, I find it helpful to reinflate the pool after emptying it. Wipe it down with a clean cloth and let it air dry completely, then deflate it and roll it up tight. It has kept great for the last 2 years in a deck box, despite the frigid winter weather.

Review

I have relied on my Rival ice cream maker for many years, churning out many, many batches of good ice cream...but after so many years, i got tired of the rock salt and ice ordeal so i went for this model. GLAD I DID! I've made half a dozen batches so far and i'm pleased to say this works better than the salt/ice machine. A few comments:

First, it's easier to do, and doesnt take any guessing on how much ice to salt than the traditional ice/salt machine. THer'es no messy clean up of salt and/or ice off the counter/floor, either.

Second, it's quicker than advertised. While eveything says 20-25 minutes, i have yet to have a batch take longer than 15 minutes.

Third, I did not have to turn my freezer down to the lowest setting either (i was concerned about wasting energy just for this!). I have it on a "5" out of "9" settings, and it's fine. I stuck the canister in the back, on the bottom shelf--which I assume is the coldest place. Just make sure the recipe you use is VERY cold before you throw it into the machine. (i often put it in the freezer for 30 min before i make ice cream). ANother tip: put the exterior clear casing into the freezer for a while before making the ice cream--it just helps insulate the canister all the more when it's turning.)

Fourth, it's the quietest ice cream machine i've heard. No, you cant hear a pin drop in the other room, but i use it in the kitchen and can comfortably watch TV in my adjacent family room without having to adjust the volume at all. I can hear the machine churing, but it doesnt get in the way of hearing the TV.

Fifth, so why 4 stars instead of 5? Her'es the only downside of the frozen canister v. salt/ice machines. Scooping the finished ice cream out of the heavy and awkward-to-handle canister and into a container for freezing, is challenging. The canister, understandably, is VERY cold. It seems off balance as you try to do this, too. And if you wait more than a moment, the ice cream quickly starts to freeze hard to the canister, so a rubber spatula (never use metal or you'll scratch the canister!), cant scrape the hardened ice cream off the sides very easily.

Overall, GREAT ice cream maker. THe quality of the ice cream is good, with a nice, smooth texture.
