Original badman D-Bridge had an apparently rare moment of generousity this weekend when he gave away a tune that was originally going to be released on Friction’s Shogun Audio.

‘Lost Shadow’ was to be the B-side of ‘Inner Disbelief’, but in a previous moment of, erm, un-generousity, D-Bridge decided he was giving other labels all his best tunes and would hold onto ‘Inner Disbelief’ for his own Exit imprint!

Following on from the Massive Attack remix we posted a couple weeks back, It seems Breakage is fast becoming the majors’ go-to guy for a dubstep remix.

Although originally released back in December 2008 on Moshi Moshi, her Brits success has led to a re-release of Florence And The Machine’s ‘Dog Days Are Over’ and so Breakage has cranked out another filthy, pounding techno-inspired dubstep roller of pretty epic proportions for the digital package.

I guess when the original is produced by James Ford it’s going to hard to mess up, but this remix is baad and it’s yours to download for free over at RCRD LBL…

I’ve been gagging to post something about Kuedo ever since I got sent the forthcoming Planet Mu EP, but I haven’t really had any excuse to… until now! Keudo is a beatsy/wonky project from Jamie Vex’d, formally one half of dubstep pioneers Vex’d.

Now working solo and living in Berlin, Jamie has made one of the most beautiful, well-arranged EPs I’ve heard in a long time. It’s just bursting with musical ideas and production values most producers can only dream of achieving. I got a similar buzz listening to the Starfox EP as I did from the first Flylo tracks I heard a couple years back. This is the realness! Make sure you support!

So, to celebrate the forthcoming EP and his appearance at the RBMA event at T Bar this Thursday, he’s dropped a mix for Resident Advisor, which is also super dope. Check out the interview here and download the mix here. Your life will truly be better off.

Hot on the heels of Pixelord’s “Lucid Freaks pt. 1” comes this eleven-track remix compilation. “Lucid Freaks pt. 2 - The Remixes” features a couple of Russia’s hottest producers, including RBMA -participant DZA, Demokracy, OL and Miracle Libido (the latter two as known from their Monday Jazz tape). The Lord himself reworked a tune exclusively for this record.

From the US, we got AshTreJinkins and Chocolate Girl with their bass-heavy interpretations of Steppa styles. Netherland knob twiddlers Jameszoo and Coco Bryce re-crunk the Pixelord funk, and finally Austria-based producer Abby Lee Tee is dropping in for a mix. One hell of a line-up, you bet. Art comes from Michael Dotson, once again.

So I just got through listening to this and totally enjoying it when I realized I have not yet posted it up! Killer new ish from Pixelord and the Error Broadcast fam once again. Some futuristic sounds and wonky beats make up a really great listen from many artists I had previously not heard of. Don’t sleep, cop it now and if you dig grab the lossless deal from bandcamp. While I’ve been writing this I’ve just put it back on repeat - there we go..
