New SavingStar Coupons (2/2)

Don't know what SavingStar is?
I have mentioned several times about SavingStar that recently launched and makes it really easy to save on groceries.
SavingStar's eCoupons are totally paperless. There's nothing to clip or print since they are 100% digital! They work at over 100 chains in 24,000 stores nationwide. The best thing I like about SavingStar is that these are like rebates since you can use coupons!

Here's how it works:
1. Select the eCoupons you like on the website or mobile app, and they are automatically linked to your store card.
2. Use your card when you checkout and the money is added to your SavingStar account. The savings don't change your bill at the register and the savings are not printed on the receipt. Instead, they get deposited into your account within 7-30 days depending upon where you shop.
3. Once your SavingStar account reaches $5 in savings, you can pick your payout from a bank account deposit, a PayPal account deposit, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to charity. More options to come!

So basically SavingStar is like a rebate. I loaded my Kroger, Food Lion, CVS, Rite Aid and Martin's cards to my SavingStar account. I usually load all of the coupons to my SavingStar account.

The Sunday issue of The Washington Post is $2.50 at the stores! For a limited time, you can get 52-weeks of the Sunday paper for $0.99/week!! You do have to pay for a full year (About $54.18). I also called the Washington Post today to see if they charge more if you live in the Richmond area and the woman I spoke to said that we get the same rate! Pay it Forward: Richmond SPCA

Coupons can help others-even those with 4 legs! I always encourage everyone to at least donate, whether it is the food bank, Animal shelters, Homeless shelters etc. Someone out there is always worst off than you!! Today I dropped off my donation to the Richmond SPCA!

Here is a list of what I donated (minus Beamer-he thought he was getting treats when he saw all of those bags!):

6-Bags of Iams Dog/Cat Food (All free only paid tax)
22-Bags of Cat Treats (Most were free some were $0.25 after coupons)
1-Cat Bed (I bought it on clearance for $5 at Petsmart but my cat prefers my bed)
2-Whiskas Wet Food ($0.50 for both)
Lots of newspapers!

The Richmond SPCA has a long list of donation items on their website. Some are very simple like newspaper! We all get them so please don't toss them, either recycle or donate them!

The dog/cat food will go the Richmond SPCA's pet pantry which helps families and individuals that are going through economic hardship.

If you don't live in Richmond, please check out your local animal shelter to see what they need!
