We made these opulent curtains for a client last year, as usual I forgot to photograph them but I've been back today to complete another room, so here they are - hope you like them!

The fabric is Lucido from Harlequin which has a lustrous finish, the curtains have been heavily interlined and finished with an oversized choux heading.

The curtain pole is embellished with crystal finials and the holdbacks feature a large cut glass crystal which shines into the room.

Today we have completed the first new display in our showroom, not the biggest but it's a start!

The wallpaper is Silhouette from Harlequin's Boutique collection, this design has featured in many of the top home publications over the last few months in one of the bolder colourways. I'm not a great fan of feature walls so love this because it makes a statement without shouting. The Roman blind is also made from a Harlequin fabric, Corvini Stripe from the Juniper collection.

2010 was a challenging year but we survivied it and worked with some lovely clients.

We're looking forward to 2011, there will undoubtedly be many more challenges ahead but life would be boring without them so we will embrace them positively!

If you are working to a budget you can often pick up some bargain fabric remnants from our eBay shop where we also well trimmings for the finishing touches.

I can't believe I didn't photograph some gorgeous tiebacks that arrived for one of our customers today.

This job has been fraught with problems, faulty wallpaper, out of stock wallpaper, faulty carpet, tieback manufacturer a victim of the recession just as we placed our order!

The original tiebacks were perfect and I thought I'd never find a replacement but Handsome Trimmings have done us proud and created the most beautiful tassels with crystal and ribbon embellishment - I'll post images tomorrow for you to see.

I'll be so relieved when this project is finally complete! Watch this space.

Today we've fitted some beautiful curtains but I left my camera at the office! Our customer loved them.
We also received a lovely thank you card from customers pleased with the work we did for them last week. I love to get a thank you card amongst all the bills!

Country House

Today we've had an appointment with clients we worked with a few years ago. They have not been in a position to work on their home over the last few years due to family commitments but are now ready to start again and having employed a few businesses to help them in the past have chosen us to complete the work on their home as they've loved what we did for them previously!

The house is effectively a new build with a 'Country House' feel, spacious rooms, high ceilings and elaborate covings.

Having selected a lot of the furnishings with other interior designers the clients feel they have not achieved the look or feel they intended and our brief is to 'finish the house so that it has a country house feel with a homely, comfortable, inviting feel' and we welcome the challenge!

We hope to report back on this project soon.

Opulent Velvet

Here's some fantastic curtains in a fluid claret velvet with antique gold scroll embroidery, this fabric falls in the most amazing way. In this setting with the gold and cream wallpaper it's traditional but fits in with contemporary interiors too especially in the other colours available such as silver and mole.

Here's a statement blind we fitted for one of our newest customers today, its in a Dining Room and when the decorator gets round to it will be complemented by a feature wallpaper on the opposite wall and a plain on the remaining walls with a soft suede metallic effect.
